Chapter 82: Grand Experiment Pt 3
Both are shocked by this revelation that Anti-Maria is the Ultimate Lifeform. "So Anti Shadow is not the Ultimate Lifeform?' Sonic asked, shocked beyond belief with Anti Maria laughing at her silly faces.
"Of course not. Shadow was a prototype after all. It took all the efforts from the Biolizard and Shadow to let me become what I am," she said in a matter-of-fact tone.
"You are 75 years old, you don't pass 22 years old," Mina said.
"Oh thank you, I am quite the looker at my age," she said putting her hands through her hair to show how lovely she looked. "But seriously, I gained immortality when I became the Ultimate Lifeform at age 21. Unless your Marie I lived a full life and reached my full potential," Maria said with a smile.
"Unbelievable," Sonic said.
"Not surprising, how weak and pathetic your Maria is," Anti Maria said as this set them off to be angry with her.
"Maria is a good girl, she is the best of humanity while you are the worst," Mina said.
"Yeah, you only see people as toys to play with until you get bored with them," Sonic said as this did not faze Maria.
"It's all part of the experiment. Once I am done, there is no use to be crying about it," she said, letting her lovely wings flap and unleash powerful gales, which easily blew them away. "I am a mix of a lot of things from Project Phoenix. Powers of the Ultimate Lifeform include boundless wells of chaos energy, Chaos powers, a powerful healing factor, and immortality, and Ifrit who I can draw about my powerful wings, pyrokinesis, and mental abilities. Added with my Magitek, I am a near godlike package," she said with a bright smile which creeped them both out. "When I merge with the Phantom Ruby. I will have the power to create and destroy Dimensions," Anti Maria said as Sonic was shocked to hear this accursed gemstone.
"The Phantom Ruby, you can't be fucking serious right now," Sonic said as Mina is quite curious about his reaction.
"Baby, what's up?" Mina asked.
"I fought this gemstone before. Twice alongside my friends Knuckles, Tails, Amy, Mighty and Ray. It happened a few months before I met you in Station Square," Sonic said.
"So how powerful is it?" Mina asked as Sonic had a dreadful look on his face.
"Able to create and destroy dimensions, that is pretty accurate," Sonic said coldly with Mina being worried about this. It took the power of Super Sonic to beat the Phantom Ruby twice but he struggled to defeat its power both times. He doubts Rainbow Mina, who is as strong as Super Sonic, would do anything if Maria were empowered by it along with her powers.
"Of course it is. It's been a while since I picked it up. 5 years to get it juiced up again and it's paying off. It's close for me to be using and I will break my limits to become a real goddess," Maria said.
"That is not going to happen. Mina goes to the doctor and then smashes that gemstone. We can't let her have it to be completed," Sonic said
"Try and you will fail. Sonic, you can play with me until the gem is done. I need the exercise," Maria said playfully spreading out her arms above her head.
"Go Mina, I got this," Sonic said as Mina kissed him on the lips.
"Good luck," Mina speeds off to leave behind a sonic boom.
"Well Sonic, let's have our little game together," Maria said cutely.
"This isn't a game blondie," Sonic uses his Arrow of Light to strike her beyond light speed. Maria drops her smile to frown at this.
"No, this isn't enough," she said disappointed with the level of power he is displayed to easily warp out of his attack. Sonic is surprised to see Maria behind him to slap him across the face, which has enough force to depower from his Mystic state with one slap.
"What!? Such power and such speed. She dodged it like it was nothing," he thought as Maria grabbed his hand before he could pass out from the mighty slap.
"Come on Blue, you still need to play with me," she said punching him in the gut to send him flying through several walls leaving big holes behind each one. "Hmm, looks like you can't take a love tap," she said lightly as Sonic powered back up to his Mystic state.
Sonic launches himself at Maria to be curled into a ball to try to cave in her head. She easily pushed him back and unleashed a beam of flames to burn him quite well. She snaps her fingers to summon three energy orbs that circle her. "I will tell you what if you can break through my defenses. I will tell you something interesting. How about it?" Maria asked nicely with Sonic using the two beryl gemstones he collected to boost his power further.
"I need to take her out before she grabs the Phantom Ruby," Sonic said as he used Sonic Wind for the energy crescent to get absorbed by one of the orbs getting bigger. He peppers her with fireballs with the three orbs catching them and getting bigger.
Maria still has the orbs spinning around her like a barrier. Come on Blue, put your back into it," Maria acting supportive but mocking him with his spells not doing damage so far. "Purge," she flings the orbs at Sonic to generate huge explosions which push Sonic upwards. "Chaos Spear," she tosses a bolt of chaos energy to hit Sonic pushing him through the metal and rock of the mountain to be within another room.
She flies through the hole she made to leash out more Chaos Spears tearing up the room with Sonic using his Wind Deflection trying to bounce it back. She summons an orb to catch the attack to make it bigger to have two other orbs orbiting her body. She spreads her six beautiful wings to let out waves of powerful golden flames.
Sonic emits a flame shield to protect himself but the golden flames are too strong and manage to strip the shield away burning Sonic's body. "Blazing Hell," she conjures a maelstrom of super-hot razor-sharp winds ripping and tearing into Sonic.
"Grave," Sonic raises his hand to summon rows of stone spikes to tear up the metal floors with her flying backward not looking concerned with his spell. He snaps his fingers to make them explode managing to hit her while making two stone slabs pop out of the walls trying to crush her. She uses her raw strength to press them back leaving herself vulnerable.
"Got you," he said using his Arrow of Light to pierce her orb but she teleported out of the way. She appears behind him with him backing away to use Chaos Control. He freezes time around him but Anti Maria uses her Chaos Control which overpowers Sonic's making him very slow while she is moving normally.
"That is adorable. My Chao Control is far superior to yours. Chaos Lance," she throws an energy lance to strike Sonic and then explodes knocking him away. She uses Chaos Snap to teleport around the place to knock Sonic around. She grabs his throat to teleport outside to toss him into a mountain.
"Hell Blast," she spreads out her wings with rows of golden flames coming out of her body. She points her palm at the mountain where Sonic has hit an orb of fire. The attack strikes the mountain to release a massive blast which is strong enough to vaporize the mountain.
"You got close but no dice," Maria said as then something came out of the ground below her to slam her with a Spin Dash.
"Don't drop your guard blondie," Sonic said as he rapidly kicked her and striking her on the head to knock her away. She stops herself to brush herself off to straighten out her dress.
"Not bad Blue, you got me," Anti Maria acting cute.
"Enough games," Sonic said.
"Well since you hit me. I will tell you something. I am conducting the Grand Experiment which involves using the Phantom Ruby's power to create a dimension so vast it matches a Multiverse. Then using a certain power from your reality to make this permanent," Maria said.
"Why, that is insane," Sonic said.
"Is it, to create a dimension that will have perfect order ruled by my genius as its goddess? People so many times are ruled by their greed, short-sightedness, and stupidity. With my genius and foresight, I will create a perfect reality where everything will have bright progress with my guiding hand," Maria said as Sonic looked upon this woman who wanted to play god in her little playhouse where everyone is a toy to be played with.
"You can take your Grand Experiment and shove it up your ass," he charges in with her shaking her head.
"Like a small mind like you can understand. Chaos Void," she tosses a time-space void at Sonic to teleport them far away. "Now time to claim my prize," she said to teleport inside her bunker.
Mina speeds to Dr. Kintobor locked up in a torture device. "Doctor, goodness. You look beat up," she said.
"I am just happy you are here. Get me out of here. Also, we need to destroy the Phantom Ruby. She will be too powerful for anyone to handle at this point," Dr. Kintobor said as Mina broke him out to speed him back to the stealth ship to secure him there.
"Okay, I am going for the gemstone," she speeds back inside to sense its power growing.
"So you have come to see the born of a Goddess of a new reality," Maria said through the walls of the bunker to warp before her to slap her across the face to knock her through several walls.
Mina speeds back to her. "Where is Sonic?" she asked.
"Your little husband has been teleported into the ocean nearby. It's going to take a while before he gets back," Anti Maria said as Mina was happy he was not dead.
"Good thing I taught him how to swim. He will be back," she thought. "You are insane, I am destroying the Phantom Ruby," Mina said to get into a combat stance.
"I doubt you can even with that form having the strength of a super state," Anti Maria said as Mina went into her Frenzy state right away to power herself up further outputting more power to deliver a flying kick with Maria blocking the shot. The two clashing cause shockwaves to rock the entire region with Mina pushing Maria with kicks but Maria is blocking her blows.
"This will be more interacting," she said as she can sense her unique energy within her aura. Mina kicks to knock her back a bit as she lobs orbs of Plasma to smash into her. Maria uses her wings to shield her from the attacks unharmed.
"Wash with my golden flames," she pours waves of gold-white flames to sweep the area. Mina uses Burst to make herself immune to fire but these gold flames are not normal. "Feel the heat of the same flames that Ifrit used to destroy his dimension," she bends the flames around Mina to entrap her in a flaming sphere. The orb implodes to crush Mina to break through her immunity to deliver potent damage. "Chaos Spear," she tosses the energy strike to hit her target to blast Mina weakening her.
Mina gathers power to use Lazar to launch at her beyond light speed. Maria reacts by using Chaos Control to slow her to a crawl. Maria's superior Chaos Control prevents Mina from using her gravity powers to negate the time effects on her body.
"Damn it, I can't use Void to negate this," Mina thought unable to do anything with Maria shoving her palm in front of her face. Maria fires a big beam of flames to burn away her tank top and shorts to only be in her underwear with her fur being smoky. "Damn it," she tosses burning energy saw blades with Maria using her wings to deflect them away.
Mina uses her magnetic power to lift several huge metal containers to toss them at the monster before her. Maria summons a barrier that blocks all her tosses with her conjures several Chaos Spears around Mina to begin dodging them but the speed increases to the point where Mina is unable to dodge to be impaled by several energy spears.
"Burning Twister," Maria makes a hot twister to catch Mina inside it to burn her body making her scream in pain. Maria laughs at this to summon an endless wave of golden fireballs to strike Mina within the twister until it explodes making her flop onto the ground.
"Too strong," Mina said as she got back onto her feet but Maria kicked her away to slam into a wall.
"Chaos Void," she tosses an energy vortex to hit Mina to teleport her away. "Enough playing time, time to become a goddess," she walks into the room to see the beautiful purple gemstone ready to go. "The moment is at hand, I go from the Ultimate Lifeform to becoming a Goddess," Maria takes the gemstone to pull down the top of her dress to shove it above her breasts to merge with it seamlessly.
The gem locks in and new power flows into her body. Anti-Maria lets out a big devilish laugh. The surge of power is enough to shake the entire world and reality itself is bending to her will. "Oh time and space itself can feel I am going to control them," she said as her new surge of power engulfed the entire mountain range vaporizing everything in her wake.
Mina gets teleported to a beach in Eurish to see her husband nearby. "Baby, are you okay?" she asked to approach.
"I am good, no clothes again?" he asked to be in her purple sports bra and white boy shorts along with her green boots and green gloves.
"Yeah, I got my ass kicked by Maria. She is too strong," she said as Mina had a Beryl in her hand. "I got this just before I was warped away," she said as Sonic now had three gems to use his magic to heal both their wounds. "Thanks," she said as they felt a massive shake to see a huge explosion in the distance.
"Sonic and Mina, what is happening? The mountain range we were in is all gone now," Dr. Kintobor said on the radio. Maria is above them because she has reduced the mountain range to ashes.
"The mountains are gone. I just implanted the Phantom Ruby and I want to test it out first," Maria spreads out her six wings and raises her hand above her hand. Suddenly she made a fake sun above them blocking the whole sky.
"Did this bitch summon the sun here?" Sonic asked as they powered up trying to stop what was coming. Sonic remembers the Phantom Ruby can create illusions so real that their body's senses would believe it's real regardless. "That sun isn't real but when it hits, the planet and us would care if it were," Sonic said.
"Correct. Moebius will be hit by my illusion and it will be vaporized along with everyone here. I hope you have enough to deflect the sun because I can survive a hard vacuum but I doubt you can," Maria tosses the Sun getting close with the heat becoming overwhelming.
"Damn it," Sonic said as he has three Anarchy Beryl gems to power himself with them. "Here we go, Chaos Control," he takes all the power within his Mystic Form along with the three Anarchy Beryl stones to strike the fake sun unleashing massive amounts of Chaos energy to warp the fake sun and take it far away in deep space letting it explode leaving the solar system unharmed.
Sonic blacks out from stressing too much with Mina grabbing onto him to see him depower back to normal. "Baby, you did it," Mana said as she looked up to see Maria looking perplexed but not concerned.
"Interesting. Why fight at all, I will control a reality where there is no fighting, villains, or stupidity. A place where my word is law and I bring peace to my new reality," Maria said as Mina didn't buy it at all.
"We will take our chances without a crazy woman playing god," Mina said as Anti-Maria shrugs her shoulders.
"Suit yourself, I need to go. I will see you in the future. When we meet again, it will be too late to stop my plan," Maria said to teleport away to leave them behind. Dr. Kintobor brings in the ship to land on the beach.
"Get in, I don't detect her at all," Dr. Ivo said as Mina dragged Sonic inside for them to speed off back to the Demon Island. "Goodness, my grandfather unleashed onto the cosmos. A little demon becomes a goddess of death and creation," Dr. Ivo said as Sonic wakes up.
"Gee, I got a huge headache," Sonic said to sit down at his seat.
"You feeling good?" Mina asked.
"Not really, she is still on the loose with crazy powers," Sonic said.
"Well, Maria is a researcher. All she sees in things are experiments to her. Geniuses like her only care about results and forego the proper ethics to get those results," Dr. Ivo as his grandfather did the same time and his mistakes caught up with him via Maria killing him and everyone on the Ark when she became the Ultimate Lifeform to despise them.
"Well I think it's time to bring them back," Sonic said.
"What back?' Mina asked.
"The Super Emeralds, I told you about them," Sonic said as Mina's eyes widened to know what he meant.
"Oh but did you say they went into another dimension?" she asked.
"Well once we get back home. I need to visit Knuckles. We need to bring those gemstones back for me to get access to Hyper Sonic again," Sonic said as he felt confident that Hyper State combined with his Mystic power would be enough to take out Anti-Maria," Sonic said as they went back home. Sonic plans to bring back the Super Emeralds to combat Anti-Marie's rising power.
Elsewhere Anti Maria is on top of a mountain to use the Phantom Ruby's power to show an image of the Jeweled Spector. "Now I need to master this power before I can go to my next goal. The jeweled Spector, a fabled treasured of the Sol Empire ruled by the current leader Queen Blaze. It holds the Power of the Stars, the very essence that binds Sonic's Multiverse together. Once I gain this power, their Multiverse will be replaced with my creation. I need to sit low and do some side experiments for now," Anti-Marie laughs at her genius to teleport away.
