A Chilling Encounter Part Two

Ingrid laughed, icy waves rolling off her. A sheen of white covered the grass and the trees around them.

"You don't have any chance, you know that, don't you?" She sneered, walking towards her.

Udonna's eyes blazed with anger. She did not say anything, but blue light danced around her fingers.

"Galwit Mysto Ombro Pluvia!" She yelled, swinging her left hand up at the skies, and then bringing it down, and pointing two fingers at Ingrid. It was one of the most powerful spells she had learnt as the blue mystic. Glowing blue spell circles hovered above her before becoming a jet of blue light that beamed upwards, disappearing in the heavens.

Grey clouds obscured the skies, and heavy rain pelted down, except the water twisted in the air, twisting into arrow shaped projections that hurled towards the succubus.

Udonna sighed heavily, as she felt the toll of casting such a powerful spell without a medium. The rain water that splashed on her face, and ran down her hair and body, did rejuvenate her somewhat.

Direct magical attacks were out of the question, given the nature of this witch's abilities, leaving elemental attacks as her only resort.

Ingrid didn't stop, only flicked the snow wand with a slight jerk of her hand. The fluid arrows froze in mid-air, and the rain turned to sheet.

"Really, Udonna?" She laughed. "Weren't you supposed to be the brightest witch of this age? Water and ice are sister elementals. Or in simple words, you can't hurt me."

Ingrid smirked at her, as the arrows changed direction and darted towards her.

"Galwit Mysto Suraksha!" Udonna shouted. Spell circles appeared in front of her, the rainy water on the ground swirling upwards and becoming a shield, except the arrows broke through the shield, instead of being submerged in it like she had expected. She just had enough time to shield her face with her hands before the onslaught started.

She screamed as numerous icy shards tore through her gown, and cut through her flesh. A single 'arrow' made it through her hands, and cut through the left side of her face.

She closed her eyes and tried to concentrate, but the pain made her impossible.

After what felt like forever, the barrage stopped.

She lowered her hands, which were covered with cuts. Blood trickled down her cheek.

She looked down. Her gown was left tattered at various places, and the purple was almost red due to being soaked with her blood. It looked worse than it was. The arrows didn't pierce through her body even though it definitely could have.

The grassy ground was littered with piles of red hair. She instinctively reached for her neck, only to find a few loose strands, instead of the long hair that reached till her waist.

Ingrid laughed again, her eye glinting with perverted pleasure at seeing her helplessness.

The hag was playing with her.

Letting her know that any moment could be her last.

No… She had endured the attacks of those far worse than her. This would not be how she fell.

And more importantly, Clare needed her.

She had to survive, no matter how.

"Ready to give up now?" Ingrid asked. "I promise to make it quick."

"No." Udonna looked her in the eyes. "I am Udonna Casterwill-Flamel, the sorceress of Rootcore, and the last of the Mystic Force, and I won't give up, not to the likes of you."

"Feisty, I like it." Ingrid winked, before tracing her fingers along the medallion in which Lyon was trapped. "Maybe I will keep you around, to give my brother some company."

"You monster!" Udonna yelled. She let loose of any reservation she had held on to, and charged at her. It was not something she usually did, but she had no other option. If she could not take this hag down by her magic, she will do so with her own fists.

A/N: Sorry for the late update. This chapter was meant to be longer, but could only find the time to write so much. :) A lot going on in real life, but going without writing makes me feel like a zombie. Can't promise regular full chapter updates, but for now, trying to push out shorter updates whenever I can.

Thanks for the review, You Don't Know Me150! I am so happy that you are able to spot the inspiration I pull from some of my other favourite fandoms (OUAT and Fairy Tail.) In this case, Ingrid only shares the name of her OUAT character, but her personality and everything else is different. I might have another story down the line, where I do a proper OUAT/Frozen/Mystic Force crossover where I am able to write Ingrid as the true Snow Queen with her backstory and complex personality. Had the ideas for it since late 2016, but never quite got around to it. :)
