New Cylon System

Space erupted in bright flashes of light as fifty baseships arrived, arrayed in a wall like formation, without missing a beat tens of thousands of raiders launched from their mother ships while massive volleys of missiles flew from launchers towards the enemy, a massive shipyard complex hard at work constructing both familiar and alien double disk shaped vessels.

Lucifer was sitting on his command throne when the Bio Cylons attacked, "Amusing, they have spared me the effort of hunting them all down", he did notice one unusual ship sitting in the centre of the enemy fleet, three old style baseships, "They must be scraping the barrel for this attack"

A cold metallic hand was raised, "Launch all raiders, have our fleet form up around this vessel"

"By your command", a golden centurion answered.

Lucifer's twenty baseships launched their own raiders into the battle, the oval shaped craft rocketing out to intercept the missile barrage as Lucifer's own fleet fired off its missiles in response, the large ships lumbering into formation as new weapons opened up, bolts of superheated plasma reached out from Lucifer's ships.

"Focus fire on the incoming ordinance for now, once the raider forces engage we can start picking off the enemy baseships", Lucifer was feeling confident, he had spent his time well upgrading as many of these foreign baseships as he could, most of them now sported an array of anti fighter laser cannons and a singular mega laser turret while his own ship had been mostly repaired, its weapons were fully operational but the shields were at reduced capacity due to the lack of several required compounds unknown to the modern Cylons, only maxing out at thirty percent of what they were.

Once his new ships were complete he planned on beginning the conquest of the Bio Cylons, a task made much easier now they had sent most of their fleet to attack.

Explosions erupted in space as plasma met missile, streams of blue bolts flew from the Cylon fleet as the raiders closed in, their own lasers added to the fusillade, Lucifer could see his own ordinance being intercepted by the enemy, there were too many fighters for the anaemic missile volley to get through but the Bio Cylons more massive volley had powered through his screening force.

Plasma flew from his fleet reaping scores of missiles but sill they got through, five impacted his command ship shaking his throne and throwing the centurions to the ground, "Shields at forty five percent", the centurion called out as it stood.

The unshielded baseships were worse off, the multi megaton missiles ripping gaping holes in the ships and outright destroying two but the main damage had been done to the shipyard and unfinished ships, which lay in ruins.

"Damage to the fleet?"

"Minor, two baseships lost, five disabled, thirteen operational with minor damage, heavy damage to the shipyard"

"Enough playing, target their baseships with our main weapons", Lucifer was beginning to feel a sliver of anger, the damage to the shipyards would set his timetable back.

In the void between the fleets the raiders finally met, crescent shaped craft spat missiles and bullets at old style raiders who returned their fire with blue bolts of plasma and missiles of their own, thousands died in the initial exchange but Lucifer's came out the worst, sheer numbers working against his more advanced craft.

Large blue plasma flew from Lucifer's fleet as the second volley of missiles launched, the mega lasers opening fire, crossing the distance in milliseconds the bolts began to impact the Cylon fleet, single hits causing catastrophic damage to anything in their path.

Lucifer watched with glee as the Bio Cylon fleet was decimated, their flimsy ships unable to withstand the firepower of the reborn Cylon empire, nearly half the fifty baseships had been erased from existence.

Cavil felt the whole ship shake from the glancing hit, the old double disk ship had strong bones and weathered the damage well, only losing some armour, the rest of the fleet was a different story though, the whole battle was only a minute old and the damage was already catastrophic.

"Twenty ships destroyed, heavy damage across the remaining ships", Doral called out from his console, the old ship lacked the modern bio interfaces standard on the new baseships so updates were slower than he liked.

"What about the weapons?"

"Ninety percent charged, we can fire in ten seconds", Simon reported, Cavil watched on the big screen as his raiders finished off the last of Lucifer's, it was a bit of a shock when they had first fired blue energy but numbers won the day, although it looked bad victory was still in hand.

"Get some ships in front of us, order the raiders to begin attack runs on those baseships"

"Lasers full charged"

Cavil nodded, a sense of calm had flooded his mind ever since the battle started, he was thinking clearly for the first time in several weeks, "Fire"

The old baseship let loose with it's eight Colonial laser cannons, the invisible bean instantaneously impacting the energy barrier of Lucifer's ship, he watched as the energy field became unstable and finally collapsed under the laser barrage just as the laser capacitors drained, small glowing gouges were carved into the armour as they cut out but no other damage was done.

"Another minute to recharge", the Four told Cavil, he kept his eyes on the enemy fleet as another storm of blue energy approached but it was too late, his raiders were already in range and another missile barrage close behind them, he would win.

Blue bolts tore through his fleet, ten more baseships joining the rest in oblivion, the two other old baseships had taken the brunt of the shots meant for his ship, one was entirely gone and the other was left as two separate disks slowly floating away.

He felt relieved when the raiders launched their missiles, thousands leapt forward from under the crescent shaped craft, the kiloton nuclear weapons ripping chunks of armour and bits of hull from the enemy ships, three of them exploding outright as something critical was hit, and closing in was the missile barrage from his baseships.

His expression turned when Lucifer's ship vanished only to reappear right behind his own, it had jumped into close range and then the others followed leaving the missiles and raiders behind to finish off the damaged ships.

He watched as the cannons started to glow before blue energy tore through his ship and fleet, the remaining ships being torn apart in a storm of fire, a few managed to launch their last volleys and take out another four ships but the battle was over.

Every basestar Cavil had brought were now nothing more that stellar debris, Lucifer's forces were hardly better, fourteen destroyed basestars as the raiders finished off the five disabled ships and six suffering damage of some sort, only Lucifer's ship was mostly unscathed.

His fleet retreated as the massive swarm of raiders began to approach, using the distance and advanced weapons to whittle down the swarm before their programming caused them to retreat.

One instant Cavil was staring doom in the face, the next he was leaping out of his resurrection pod in a new body, he shook off the centurion helping him out and rushed to the command centre of the Colony, he didn't even bother to get dressed.

Minutes later he burst inside to see the three Cylons manning the control centre, a One, Four and a Five, the turned to look at him with expressions of shock.

"Round up every ship we have left, Lucifer's on his last legs", He ordered, his naked body still dripping with goo from the resurrection pod, he knew he needed to finish that fight right now.

Silence greeted his command as the three men were stunned into shock, the One listlessly turning to Cavil, "Brother, the Hub has been destroyed, you are one of the last to download"

Cavil stood stunned, the pillar of Cylon resurrection now gone, this life his last, anger tried to bloom in him but cold hard survival wormed to the top, "Warm up the drives, we're leaving"

The massive jump engines of the Colony would take a few minutes to charge, he walked over to a small office he kept near the command centre and re-emerged fully clothed, joining the rest in the virtual space of the ship, checking the progress of the engines, "Send out wireless messages and raiders, recall every ship, centurion and raider we have left"

The others rushed to do as he commanded but a new problem jumped in, six ships, the double disk Cylon design familiar to everyone in the command centre, Lucifer had arrived.

Cavil grimaced, he wasn't going to let some overblown antique bag of bolts be the end of him.

Battlestar Atlantia

Cylon resurrection hub

"Jump complete"

"Dradis contacts, 0 carom 300, directly ahead, ID'd as the resurrection hub and three baseships, distance fifteen thousand". The sensor officer called out, Ferore looked at the telescope feed, the massive construct hung silently in space fifteen thousand kilometres ahead, he could already see raiders launch from the baseships.

As planned the Terran fleet opened fire as soon as they were ready, giving no time for the Cylons to jump out, a storm of electric blue energy pulses flew from the two cruiser ships, their particle cannons opening fire.

Ferore had read the specs the Terrans had deigned to share on the so far unseen weapons, he knew they were at the limit of their range, the blue bolts travelled at a significant percentage of light, all twenty four converging on the hub, the cathedral like structure offering no resistance as the energy weapons tore through the hull, explosions blossomed across the surface as the ship erupted into a conflagration, the two arms being blasted clear as a shock wave blew the ship to pieces.

The Terrans weren't done, the four destroyers and frigates opened up with their laser cannons on the baseships, dozens of beams converging on each ship, carving them apart like a blowtorch through ice, explosions rippled across the remains as fuel and explosives lit off, only a few dozen raiders remaining afterwards.

Expressions of shock were upon the CIC crew, the Cylons had lasted only seconds and were completely unable to fight back, many realising their own ships would be equally as vulnerable.

"Launch red and blue squadron, finish off those raiders", Ferore voice shook everyone out of their stupor, "Comms, contact Admiral DuGalle and extend my thanks"

Ferore sighed and turned to Tito, "That was anticlimactic, lets hope the next battles are equally successful"

Ferore fully intended to end this whole thing right now, hitting the Cylons at their weakest, he only had the Terrans attack as soon as they jumped in because of the risk of the Cylon hub jumping out if they tried to attack conventionally, he expected such tactics would fail the next time but the range advantage was immense.

"Send a raptor to HQ, inform them that phase one has been successful"

Once they were done recharging their drives here it was off to the Colony, the Cylon menace would end today.

….

The fleet jumped into a war zone, debris of baseships and raiders littered the space around the colossal Colony, which itself was burning, the enemy fleet was hardly better, the wrecks of five old style basestars hung closely to a mostly undamaged one, the massive cannons on the Colony pounding away but being blocked by an energy barrier, streaks of blue energy flew back to blow chunks away but the great mass of the Colony absorbed the damage.

"Get our vipers out now!", Ferore barked out as he watched the carnage unfold, more star shaped ships jumped in near Lucifer's ship only to be torn apart in short order, the blue plasma weapons beyond their defences, only able to launch a portion of their missiles and raiders.

"Get the fleet into defensive formation two", one of the prearranged formations, it would put the powerful Terran ships in the centre, while their weapons were powerful he considered their anti fighter defences to be sub par, and these ships lacked shielding devices that were new to the Union.

Ten thousand kilometres away the battle continued, raiders attempted to breach the shields but were lacking their heaviest weapons, Cavil having taken them for his ill fated attack, conventional warheads were seemingly ineffective.

Ferore could see where the fight was going as the full firepower of the old Cylon ship was being displayed, it continued to reduce the Colony to rubble even in the face of reinforcement raiders and base ships, Lucifer was going to win, he shuddered as he realised his own ships would be as vulnerable to those weapons.

The fleet simply waited as the Cylons slugged it out, "We'll hold position for now but tell the Terrans they're free to get target locks on the Colony and that ship", Ferore ordered.

"Shouldn't we attack, what if they escape?", Tito whispered.

Ferore nodded his head to the telescope feed, "I don't want our ships near that kind of firepower, we wouldn't last any longer than those baseships did"

"Sir, transmission from the Cylons", The comms officer shouted out.

Which ones he wondered, "Patch it through", he picked up the handset.

"We surrender!", the panicked voice cried out of the speaker, "Just destroy that ship, we'll do anything you want"

"Is this Cavil?", Ferore inquired.

"No, he vanished or ran away, I'm Simon, a number four, please!, we're all that's left", rumbling sounds and crashing came through the speaker, the sound of battle.

Ferore paused in thought, even after this battle it would be months of checking every possible system for a Cylon presence, a surrender would help alleviate some of that, he looked to Tito who just shrugged, "Alright, unconditional surrender"

"Yes, anything, just get rid of the ship", the man on the other ends panicky voice cane through.

Ferore hung up, he saw the comms officer waving for his attention, "Sir, the Verdun reports an energy buildup from the baseship, they claim it's charging its jump drive"

Another example of something they themselves couldn't do, he turned back to the Dradis, "Tell the Terrans they're clear to engage that ship", his voice carried around the room.

He watched through the feed as the Terrans ships angled themselves for maximum firepower before the storm of energy was launched, electric blue bolts flew out as the lasers had already arrived, the ships energy barrier glowing under the strain before the beams burned through and gouged out furrows in the hull, molten trails drifting away and cooling into strange shapes.

The ship held up well under the lasers, it's armour refracting most of the energy away from the ship but then the PPC bolts arrived, twenty four bolts impacted the hull, armour shattered under the force as the energy tore its way inside, explosions rippled on the surface and fire and smoke began to trail from the ship, but it was still intact and active.

Ferore held his surprise at the durability he was seeing, the shells from the Colony bounced off the hull as the Terran weapons recharged but the fight was over, the weapons fire from the ship had dropped and he could see internal explosions, when the second volley arrived the lasers burned through the soft interior of the ship hitting something critical, a massive explosion finished off the thousands of years old ship, only large pieces debris were left.

"Major, tell the fleet to get every marine we have into a raptor, I want that station secure on the double", his eyes bored into the heavily damaged Colony, was the war finally over after forty two years?

As the raptors launched towards the massive structure, Ferore couldn't shake an uneasy feeling, this seemed too easy, "Keep our weapons hot and vipers on standby" he ordered, "I want to be ready for any surprises"

Stargate Command

Pluto Station

The scent of coffee emanated from the room as Jack walked inside, the past day had been a blur of reading, coffee and naps, the first thing they did was digitise the pile of documents and transmit a copy to Earth, experts back there were doing round the clock analysis of the information while SG-1 and a whole bunch of people on the station did the same.

Tired eyes glanced his way as he sauntered into the briefing room, the table was full of the mission reports from the alternate SG-1, the seats filled by SG-1, Sheppard and anyone else with high enough clearance to see them.

Once they started reading it soon became apparent that Sheppard had missed a lot, he had only read SG-1 files, no other teams were listed, when asked he told them it was because SG-1 was the most famous team, Jack smiled fondly as he remembered hearing that, it was a bit of an ego boost, and things got vague after he had left for Atlantis, mid two thousand and four in his universe, the whole first year of his presence was absent completely.

For those periods they only had the incomplete reports that Sheppard had deigned to read while he was in Atlantis and what he personally remembered, it was a bit of a dark hole in the timeline they were generating for the other universe, Sheppard's recollection of events on Atlantis were much clearer in comparison.

Jack sighed, rubbing his temples as he took a seat at the crowded table, even after sleeping his brain was fried trying to hold on to all the information, "Alright folks, what have we got so far?"

"We're working on prioritising worlds we should visit first", Carter spoke without looking up, "Orban for example is where the other universe gained Naquadah power technology"

Daniel spoke up next, "There's also places where we can make a difference right away, like P3X-289, it looks like the computer everyone is connected to there is erasing memories and sending people out to die in the toxic cloud"

Jack looked to the sorted stacks on the table, there was a rather large one at the other end, "What are those?"

Carter glanced over to where he was looking, "Those are worlds we don't want to go to, black holes, diseases that turn people into insects, planets full of living water, that kind of thing"

"Ok, moving on", he looked to the other piles and grabbed a folder from the unsorted one and got to reading, based on the size of things it would be a while.

Jack scanned the file name and number, the planet code was listed prominently too, P4X-639, the report detailed the events surrounding a time loop machine, he smiled at the antics of his counterpart but when he found out why Malakai was doing what he was it dropped, "Looks like there's a machine on P4X-639 that can loop time"

Carter's head snapped up. "A time loop?, that could be incredibly valuable technology if we could harness it safely."

"Or incredibly dangerous" Daniel added, frowning, "Messing with time rarely ends well"

Teal'c raised an eyebrow, "Indeed, however, such a device could provide strategic advantages if used judiciously"

Jack leaned back in his chair, tapping the folder thoughtfully, "Well, it's definitely going in the 'check it out' pile, but we'll need to be careful, last thing we need is to get stuck repeating the same day over and over", a knowing smile lit up his features, "Whoever this Malakai is, he looks to be from an advanced civilisation too, its worth checking out"

The rest of the day continued like that until Hammond strode into the room, he gave a nod of satisfaction before turning to Jolinar, "Miss Jolinar, a marine reported a loud beeping coming from your quarters"

Jolinar nodded, "The long range communication sphere, the High Council must be trying to contact me", she stood up, "If you will excuse me".

Hammond nodded and waved her out of the room, he moved to his usual spot at the head of the table and looked to SG-1 and Major Sheppard, "What have you found so far?"

"We've sorted the reports into four piles, time critical, important, Goa'uld worlds and other things related to them and the last is worlds we shouldn't visit under most circumstances", Commander Carter pointed to each pile in turn.

She pointed to the smallest pile, the time critical one, "We found out there is another Goa'uld on Earth, Osiris, it should still be in stasis inside its canpoic jar but it's not something we should ignore", she pointed to Daniel, "In the other timeline it was Daniels friend, Sarah Gardner, who was infested, right now she's working on Gaia so that shouldn't happen"

Hammond nodded, "I'll make sure a team on Earth deals with that", he saw Daniel perk up, "Something to add Doctor Jackson?"

"I'd like to go too, those are my friends and professor, he was murdered in the other timeline, I'd like to make sure it doesn't happen here"

"Granted"

"There's also a Gould shuttle parked in Egypt, she used it to escape", Jack said as he threw a folder onto the table.

"I'll inform Earth, anything else?"

"P3X-289", Jack spoke, "Some kind of computer is erasing peoples memories and sending them out to commit suicide, they live in some kind of safe area inside a toxic cloud, we can relocate the people and have a look at their technology at the same time"

Hammond looked angry, "We'll deal with that immediately", he picked up the folder and scanned through, "We might need to disable the populace while we deal with the computer", he looked to SG-1, "I'll have the armoury prepare some aerosolized stun gas, how soon can you be ready Colonel?"

"A few hours Sir"

Hammond nodded, "Good, but first lets cover the rest of this", he picked up a folder in the next pile, "Hebridians?"

Carter nodded, "They don't actually have a gate anywhere in their territory, the other SGC found one of their crashed ships, a prisoner transporter, and helped them get back home, it's also where they gained ion engine technology in that timeline"

Hammond sat down with the folder in hand and gave it a quick skim, "Hmm, the prisoners gain control the ship and the guards were forced out into the forest after the crash", pages were turned as he read, "It says the ship crashed in the year two thousand in the other reality, which would be next year in ours?", he glanced to Carter who nodded in return, he closed the folder and placed it back on the pile, "We can deal with that problem when it happens", he looked back to the faces in the room, "What about this next pile?"

"All Goa'uld related, sir, we can send a lot of this off to the Tok'ra for verification, it might help them immensely, but the most important bits are the return of Sokar and then Anubis", she paused, "Anubis is especially relevant to us, he will be after an object on Abydos"

Hammond raised an eye brow, "An object, what is it?"

"The eye of Ra, supposedly its part of some kind of super weapon", she grimaced, "He used it to destroy the planet in that other timeline"

Hammond pinched the bridge of his nose, "Do we know where this eye is?"

"On Earth sir, we recovered it with lots of other artifacts in a hidden chamber in the pyramid, it's listed as one of the precious stones recovered"

Daniel took the pause as an opening to talk, "We also compiled a list of advanced human civilisations we should visit, starting with the Orbanians", he slid an A4 page over to Hammond, a list was written in Jacksons scratchy handwriting.

Hammond began to read the list as Daniel talked, "That's where the other reality got Naquadah reactor technology, there's also Langara which has a mineral called Naquadria, it's meant to be more powerful than Naquadah"

Daniel took in a breath as Hammond looked down the list, "I see, we'll prioritise these worlds for future missions", his finger stabbed at two names on the list, "Tagrea and P2X-416, both have their gates buried?"

Carter nodded, "In the other timeline their first interstellar craft lost its hyperdrive over Tagrea, they needed to uncover the gate to return home", Carter pulled out a small galactic map, "Tagrea is also relatively close to Earth, only three thousand light years away"

"And P2X-416?"

"Home to two nations, the Bedrosians and the Optricans, they should dig up their gate some time next year, the other SG-1 didn't receive the warmest welcome though but they did exhibit advanced technology, energy weapons and shields"

Hammond nodded and passed the list back over, "Anything else I should know of right now?"

"P3R-272", Jack spoke, his mind turning to what happened to his other self, "It contains a machine, the Ancient repository of knowledge they called it, it downloaded a whole library of ancient information into my counterparts head, so much it started to rewrite his brain, lets see if we can recover that data without the brain damage"

Hammond nodded, "We'll take every precaution…", as Hammond spoke Jolinar burst into the room, her normally calm demeanour replaced with concern, Hammond looked to her, "Is something wrong?"

Jolinar nodded and placed a small Goa'uld device down and connected it to a laptop she was carrying, "The Tok'ra have been monitoring the closest Goa'uld presence to your space, Ptahmose, the Goa'uld who attacked the Rhososians, I just learned his Ha'tak has left Tjaru"

She powered the laptop on and turned the screen to the rest, a map of the galaxy appeared, tiny icons representing Goa'uld ships were plotted out, "Our spy managed to get a tracking device onto his ship, its heading straight to Abydos"

Looks of concern spread around the room, "How long?", Jack asked.

Jolinar shrugged, "Our information indicates it is a Ra era Ha'tak, if he has not upgraded the engines, several of your weeks"

Hammond abruptly stood, "I'll inform command, Jolinar with me", powerful strides carried him to the door, Jolinar trailing behind, SG-1 and Sheppard shared looks of concern before Sheppard asked a question.

"Who're the Rhososians?"

Senteniel Station

Earth Orbit

Later

Borman rushed into the room on the tail of another Admiral, the whole station and fleet had gone to alert status once word of an impending Goa'uld attack had got out, so far the media didn't know but that was only a matter of time at this point.

Finding his assigned seat he sat down as the rush of people dwindled, he saw Admiral Coleman step up to the podium at the front of the large briefing room.

"I'll be brief", he began, "Two hours ago we received intel via the Tok'ra that the Goa'uld Ptahmose left his world of Tjaru on a direct course to Abydos", a map of the local sector appeared behind Coleman.

"Even at the best possible speed of an upgraded Ha'tak it would take two weeks for him to arrive so we have some time", Coleman said while he pointed to the map, "We know he left in one Ha'tak and left his remaining two Al'kesh craft to defend Tjaru"

Coleman's voice thundered across the room, anger clear in every word, "Right now we have to operate under the assumption that Ptahmose revealed our existence to the Goa'uld at large, until we know otherwise all military units will remain at high alert"

He sighed, "Our experts believe we may be safe though, our current theory is our raid on Rhosos removed a large amount of slaves intended for his mines, we think he chose Abydos to recoup those losses as thus far it has escaped the attention of Apophis and Heru'ur"

The map changed, this time coloured zones appeared denoting the territory of the aforementioned Goa'uld, a single planet represented Ptahmose which was much closer to Earth.

"Apophis and Heru'ur continue to engage in conflict with each other but the war has ground to a halt while they both recoup losses so we don't expect any danger from that direction, the other system lords are likewise content to sit back and watch while building up their own forces"

Coleman waved over Admiral Rooks from the side, "Admiral Rooks is forming up our main fleet for the Aschen operation, we'll be diverting this fleet to Abydos for the duration, it's currently our only combat fleet we can deploy without compromising our own defences", he turned to Rooks, "We'll see what other ships we can scrounge up in time but I don't want to send anything without shields unless we have to"

Rooks nodded, "Understood"

Coleman turned back to the room, "Expect deployment orders soon", Coleman stood straight, his hands behind his back, "When that bastard arrives we'll send him straight to hell"

Borman felt a tinge of dread, this would be the first time they fought the Goa'uld in space, an enemy he knew totally outclassed them in that arena, this would be their first test and if they failed it would be their last.

P3X-289

The Next Day

8th August 2065

Four people emerged from the gate onto the dead rocky ground, they spread out around the gate as larger forms followed them through, carrying large containers in their metallic hands.

Jack cast his gaze into the distance, a small valley was below the gate and in the middle surrounded by yellow fog was a large glowing dome, their destination, he turned to look as the rest of Major Jenson's men came through the gate carrying the knockout gas, his whole platoon were now equipped in power armour and on this mission would be providing backup.

"Looks like an hours walk to the dome, will these suits hold up?", he asked Carter.

She raised her handheld scanner, "Sulphur dioxide, carbon monoxide, methane, ammonia, we don't want to hang around long in this but our suits should be good for a few days exposure"

"Right, lets move, I can already feel my skin crawling", Jack waved them onwards and down into the valley, as they walked it became apparent the area had once been inhabited, ruins and rusted girders stabbed out of the ground like rotten bones, the toxic atmosphere and time had reduced them to a shadow of the structures they once were.

Jack glanced back to the four members of SG-1 following, Daniel had taken the first transport back to Earth to deal with the Osiris situation, local security forces were already on the way to secure the University lab where the canopic jar was located and to detain every person in the area to be tested for infestation, better safe than sorry was the rule of the day.

Hammond had given them the go ahead to proceed with the mission, Ptahmose was in the hands of the fleet right now, there wasn't much the SGC could do to help against space ships and the Tok'ra had sent their closest thing to an expert on him to assist, it was out of their hands.

Jack trudged through the yellowish mist as they neared the dome, his thoughts turning to the future, Orban, Langara, Vyus, Euronda, the names of places they would be visiting sooner rather than later, and a ton of other places too, the Council wanted allies and anything industrial would do, although the Euronda situation was something a plan was being formed to deal with.

Tagrea and Bedrosia would need to be contacted by ship, something to worry about after Ptahmose was dealt with and the Hebridians were simply too far away to contact right now, they'd need to wait for the ship to crash.

Then there were the aliens, the Ohnes, Reetou, Omeyocan, Gadmeer and the Reol, every one had felt the touch of the Goa'uld, they'd need to watch out for the Reetou, their rage against the Goa'uld would see them attack Earth in the near future, he'd ask Jolinar to sort out some of those anti invisibility guns after they got back.

Then there was the future Lucian alliance, something of it must exist already, if they got in contact with the right people now could they turn future enemies into potential allies, he wouldn't say no to a human government to oversee former Goa'uld worlds, but they would need to change course from criminality.

He shook his head, tired of trying to wrap his mind around future possibilities, he didn't even want to consider the whole Pegasus galaxy right now either, he looked up to see the barrier of the dome a few feet in front, raising his arm he called for everyone to stop.

"Alright, lets go over the plan one last time", he turned and spoke to SG-1 and SG-17, (Laser Squad in Jack's mind), "SG-1 will go in and make nice with the locals", he raised a finger, "Remember to not put one of the neural things on your head"

"We'll try to convince them to disconnect from the neural things and we'll offer to relocate them to Heliopolis instead of staying here to die", a finger pointed to the power armour wearing SG-17, "Major Jenson is on standby in case things go wrong, his team will deploy the knockout gas while we try to disable the computer system, remember zats only, we're dealing with mind controlled civvies"

He turned to Carter, "You got the signal booster?"

"Yep", she pulled out the radio relay device, they brought it along to transmit signals through the dome, something they read that the other SG-1 had issues with, Carter placed the device halfway into the energy field of the dome, "We should be able to signal out"

"Good, just in case we cant, Jenson, check up on us every hour"

Jenson nodded the helmet of his armour, "Like clockwork Colonel"

"Alright, once we clear the populace out we can recover any useful technologies at our leisure, the refugee teams back on Heliopolis are prepared to receive these people…", Jack paused and turned to Carter, "What are they called again?"

Carter opened her mouth to respond but no words emerged, she shrugged, "I actually don't remember"

Jack turned to Teal'c and Jolinar, Teal'c bowed his head, "I am unable to recollect the name of this world", while Jolinar just shook her head in the negative.

Jack smirked, "Well, lets go ask them then", he turned and strode into the dome, his thoughts still on the future.

Office of the President

Caprica City

"The president will see you now", the secretary told him as he sat waiting outside the office, he gave her a nod and entered the room, Rand was standing in front of the window with his back to the door.

"Sir", Ferore walked up to the desk and saluted, "Reporting as ordered"

Rand turned and took Ferore's hand and gave it a shake, a large smile was planted on his face as he released the hand and waved to the chair, "Admiral, please sit"

Rand picked up a remote and turned off the muted TV, before sitting down himself, "I know our last meeting had some heated words, lets put that behind us now, I owe you thanks, the whole of the Colonies do"

Ferore nodded, internally he knew this was all about ratings, he had seen the talking heads on the news on the way over, Rand's popularity had skyrocketed ever since news had dropped about the Cylon defeat.

"Thank you sir, although you didn't need to thank me in person, I still have plenty of things to sort out in Cylon space before I'm satisfied we're done there, after that you can have my resignation"

Rand raised his hands, "No need for that any more Admiral, your a national hero now, Nagala might be your future replacment but you still have a few years in you", Rand put on a jovial tone as he spoke.

"I see", typical political bullshit as far as he was concerned, if Rand fired him now his ratings would tank, Ferore planned to milk it for every drop, "Most of your thanks should go to the Terrans though, they did all the heavy lifting"

"Of course, of course, I already talked to their ambassador", Rand leaned back in his chair, fingers steepled, "Tell me how it really went", Rand's tone became serious.

"I explained all this in my report, most of the damage had already been done by the time we moved, Lucifer and Cavil had destroyed the bulk of their forces fighting each other"

Ferore ran a hand through his thinning hair, his wife had arranged for them to receive the new Terran anti ageing drug but there was no cure for a thinning hairline, "The Terran's did destroy four baseships in total and the hub but the rest was all the Cylons, we didn't contribute much in the end, frankly, our ships would be useless against Lucifer's ship"

Rand sighed, "We're doing everything we can to close the gap, new ships are being built using tech bought from the Terrans and we have the Pegasus to look into", Rand's earlier cheer was gone, "Before you arrived we received word from the Terrans, a Goa'uld ship is heading into their space"

That was news to Ferore, he'd need to inform Admiral DuGalle, they could handle the cleanup on their own, "Are we sending help?"

Rand looked Ferore in the eyes, "Can we help Admiral, you just told me our ships were useless against a foe the Goa'uld handily defeated thousands of years ago, do you think we can scratch a Goa'uld ship with our own?"

Ferore didn't have an answer, Rand continued, "No, against that we cant help right now, our focus is on catching up but we can help the Terrans and ourselves somewhere else, the Aschen"

"The Aschen?", Ferore wondered where Rand was going with this.

"The Terrans are sending the fleet they intended to use to invade the Aschen, every expert I have says they're going to suffer losses, I want you to take a fleet and reinforce that invasion"

Ferore's expression darkened, "The Aschen have shields and powerful weapons if the reports are accurate, we could be sending ships into a meat grinder"

Rand nodded, "I know", he stood and moved to the window looking over the city, "Right now we're behind the Terrans", a sigh carried over to Ferore, "blame the anti tech movement after the Cylon war if you want but it true, we just sold the last advantage we had for their shield tech, if we don't get our foot in the door they'll get further ahead"

Rand turned back, "I'm not just sending ships, I'm sending a whole army", Rand's eyes bored into Ferores, "we'll help the Terrans and in return the spoils of Aschen technology will be our reward, we'll strengthen ties so when the Goa'uld finally notice we exist we wont be standing alone in ships they can cast aside with a glance"

Ferore was shocked, he'd always pegged Rand as a slimy used car salesman type, but it seemed he did actually care about his nation.

Rand returned to his seat, "Several ships are nearly finished their upgrades, they'll have to do until the new ones are finished, we're slowing the pace while the Minotaur project is underway"

"How many ships?", Ferore had been out of the loop regarding the upgrade project while he handled the Cylons.

Rand pulled a folder from a drawer on his desk and threw it over to the Admiral, "Six battlestars and twelve support ships", Rand raised his fingers as he named the classes, "a Mercury, two Jupiter's, three Valkyrie's, and some Berzerk and Ranger cruisers"

Rand spoke as Ferore opened the folder, "The Columbia, Galactica, Triton, Solaria, Valkyrie, and Tethys, they've all been fitted with the new reactors and weapons systems we acquired from the Terrans and the Ranger's have new enhanced warheads on the missiles"

Ferore flipped through the pages, scanning the specifications, his face resigned as he took in the upgrades, "These are impressive improvements, but will they be enough against Aschen technology?"

Rand leaned forward, his expression grim, "Honestly? we're not sure, but it's the best we can do on short notice, the Terrans believe it will give us a fighting chance, at least"

"And the army?" Ferore asked, looking up from the folder.

"Two full marine divisions, with all the supporting elements, we're pulling troops from our elite formations for this"

Ferore closed the folder and slid it back across, "Your serious about this?"

Rand leaned back, "If we stick our heads in the sand again we'll be left behind, if it wasn't for the Terrans we'd still be unaware of the Cylon plot to infiltrate our society, who knows how much damage they could have caused"

"You have a few weeks to get things organised, the Terrans wont be leaving until the Goa'uld is dealt with", Rand sighed, "Admiral, our very civilisation, our species is at stake right now"

"Understood", Ferore spoke, he straightened his back, he well understood just what was at stake, he questioned whether Rand did, "What about the clean up in Cylon space?"

"Admiral Nagala will take over operations in Cylon space, BSG-14 is being transferred to the Aschen front along with the upgraded ships, forming the first expeditionary fleet of the Colonies", Rand raised an eyebrow, "There's not much left to do there anyway according to your report"

Ferore sighed, Rand was right in that regard, after the surrender they had taken stock of all remaining Cylon assets, ten baseships in various states of repair and two resurrection ships had been recovered, the remaining Cylons were in the process of being transferred to the new Cylon planet and teams were working to fix the damage to the Colony.

The Colony held technology that the Colonies wanted but it had suffered extreme damage, any research into their technology would have to wait, the centurions and raiders were already in the process of being destroyed too, soon former Cylon space would wholly belong to the Colonies.

Rand lifted up his arm and looked to his watch, "I'm afraid that's all the time I have free for this meeting Admiral, I'll see you at the ceremony tomorrow", Rand stood and extended his hand again, sighing internally Ferore stood and took it.

"Have your preparations done as soon as possible Admiral, we're entering a new era and I want the Colonies to be on top"

Ferore gave a quick salute, "Sir", and exited the room, he'd need to get in contact with the Terrans, see what their plans were.

TUS McKenna's Pride

One Light Year from Abydos

10th August 2065

Sven Rooks sat back in his chair, marvelling at the changes to his ship, full gravity kept him glued to the floor as he reached over and took a sip of his strong black tea, inertial dampeners and some modifications to the engines let the ship accelerate far beyond its previous two point five gees, the new jump engines shipped in from the Colonies let the ship jump twenty light years every twenty minutes, those changes alone made the ship a different beast.

The other changes made the ship even more powerful, removing the old jump core had freed up tons of space, space now filled with additional armour, reinforced structure and a new hangar deck, they had connected the old aerospace bays directly to the new internal hangar giving the ship an airing of one hundred and fifty ASF, the biggest in the Terran fleet, and just a few weeks ago the ship was fitted with a shield generator.

Outside the ship flashes occasionally occurred as new vessels arrived, his fleet to invade the Aschen wasn't ready yet and ships were still arriving as they prepared to face the Goa'uld, a hundred Terran ships would be here by the time the enemy arrived, all equipped with shields and kobolium enhanced missiles.

Putting his cup back down he glanced around the room, taking in the grim faces of the commanders of his fleet, the Terran Unions second fleet, around him discussions were had in whispered conversations as the commanders planned the upcoming operation.

Sven's finger began to tap on the folder in front of him, it was a basic outline of the two most promising plans they had put together, he flipped open the document and looked down on his own scribbled shorthand notes, a hand brushed through his blond hair as he considered the options.

"Alright, settle down", he spoke, "Lets go over the details again, we'll start with the first one", he jabbed at the page again.

"In this plan we let Ptahmose approach unopposed, we'll make every effort to hide evidence of our presence from the planet and in space, once he gets close enough a team will operate the ring transporter device to send a bomb onto his ship, just like Ra", Rooks read out the gist of the plan to the room.

"If successful we should suffer minimal to zero casualties", he paused and looked to the grim faces, "Emphasis on successful"

"Plan two, let Ptahmose enter orbit before the fleet jumps in and boxes him in, we'll also have weapons hidden on the planet to help out, we expect to suffer heavy casualties"

"I don't see how we can do anything else, expecting him to simply land without noticing everything we put here, I doubt it will be that easy", Admiral Borman spoke up.

"Da, we can see if he approaches and try plan one and use plan two as a backup but I expect that it will fail", Admiral Ivanov added.

Sven nodded, "My thoughts are similar, if plan one should fail we can implement plan two", he took out a pen and a fresh piece of paper.

"We plan to have a small ship equipped with a subspace transmitter wait on the moon, as soon as we get the signal we jump in and surround the Ha'tak, we'll put our heavy hitters up front, the cruisers and keep the lighter ships back", Sven looked to the two Admirals, "Your carriers will be behind the battleline, they are our most vulnerable ships"

The two Admirals nodded, the Luna class carriers were still using their original Deuterium reactors putting out less power than every other ship, their shields were much weaker than every other ship in the fleet.

"We also have the prototype shield dome and ground to orbit laser weapons", Sven scribbled on his notes, the Union had been working on their own SDS system and had managed to produce four prototype laser weapons, they were much more massive than anything on a ship and were able to put out a lot of firepower, they were currently being loaded into transports bound for Abydos.

"We'll keep them and their reactor powered down and hidden until the fleet jumps in, we also have several ground to orbit missile launchers being loaded with enhanced warheads too"

"How far along is the evacuation?", Captain Aubrey asked, he was the man given command of the Venus, the ship was still unfinished but the work crews managed to get it functional enough to fight, Aubrey would be going into battle with a skeleton crew though.

"The civvies should be all gone by next week and we have marines going around putting camouflage netting over everything we cant move in time, Ptahmose should only be able to see the city if everything works out"

"What about the facilities in space?", Captain Lorne asked, he was the commander of one of the cruiser-destroyer squadrons, a cruiser and a few destroyers formed one, they would be the main component of the fleet while the frigates hung back and slung missiles downrange at the Goa'uld.

In theory anyway, reality had most of the fleet being frigates, once every ship arrived there would be fifty frigates, thirty destroyers and sixteen cruisers, plus the Pride, two carriers and a Venus class heavy cruiser, they didn't really have time for fancy tactics or formations, just massed fire against the Goa'uld ship.

"A tug is on the way, I plan to have the repair dock towed into orbit around the furthest moon and powered down, hopefully the Goa'uld don't notice it, the mining operations further into the system we can do nothing about except make them go dark"

Grumbles were audible from the commanders at the inability to do more, the first plan hinged on Ptahmose not noticing anything until it was too late, but there was another issue to deal with too, preventing him from fleeing once it got too hot for him, fortunately they had an ace in the hole for that.

His eyes turned to the one oddly dressed man in the room, Selmak or Quinta depending on who was in control, of the Tok'ra, he was currently tracking the progress of Ptahmose's ship on a Goa'uld data pad connected to a small subspace transceiver, "Selmak, you said you could disable the hyperdive on Ptahmose's ship?"

Selmak looked up from his pad, and spoke in his distorted Goa'uld voice, "Yes", he put the pad down and looked around the room, "When our spy placed the tracking device they also accessed the computer system of the ship, we typically do this to gain intelligence but also to load a specific virus"

"A computer virus?", Sven heard someone ask.

"Goa'uld computers are actually quite secure from remote access, but the virus will allow me to disable their hyperdrive", a sigh left his lips, "Only temporarily though, Ptahmose will soon discover the issue and fix the drive, the anti virus programs will also quickly deal with the virus once it becomes active, you will have a few minutes at most"

"Cant we just disable the shields or weapons?", another Captain, Ortega, asked, a valid question Sven thought.

Selmak shook his head, "Unfortunately no, those systems are among the most protected, even attempting to introduce a virus into them would have set off alarms, our spy would soon be dead if they tried that, the hyperdrive on the other hand has a known exploit in its systems that we can make use of, but first a virus must first be installed on the physical hardware"

"And you can set this virus off remotely?", Ortega questioned.

Selmak gave a single slow nod, "Indeed, our tracking device is connected to the hyperdrive, I can deploy the virus through the transceiver one the ship is in range"

"We cant let Ptahmose escape, if he does every Goa'uld will soon know we exist, there'll be hundreds of Ha'taks on the way then", Sven stood and placed his hand down on the table, a deadly serious look on his face, "We cant win against those numbers"

"Once the evacuation is complete the marines on the ground will block the stargate, I understand it is a common tactic for Goa'uld to send forces through the gate when they attack a world?", he directed the question to Selmak.

"Indeed, I imagine a force of Jaffa is already prepared and waiting on Tjaru, when Ptahmose arrives he will signal them to begin", Selmak said as he picked up the pad, "At his current speed he will arrive in two weeks and three days"

Sven nodded, "Time is our biggest advantage right now, we'll prepare our battleground and make that bastard pay for even looking this way", he sat back down, "We'll use every bit of time to tip the odds in our favour, hopefully the first plan works but I'm not betting on that"

Heads nodded grimly around the room, Borman's voice cut through the dreary mood, "And when we win, what then?", At least he didn't say if, Sven noted.

Selmak looked up from his pad again, "Ptahmose was a minor underlord of Ra, he managed to stay out of the current conflict between Apophis and Heru'ur but his death will eventually be noticed", Selmak shrugged, "Especially when it happened in the same region where Ra disappeared"

"How long?", Sven asked.

"It's hard to know, once the war between Apophis and Heru'ur ends the victor will want to examine the spoils, your time of being concealed from the Goa'uld is limited either way, but if Ptahmose's jaffa lose contact with their lord they will seek a new one, news will spread of where he went"

"We expected as much", he looked to Borman, "Once Ptahmose is dead we're turning our ships towards Tjaru, the ground elements of the Aschen invasion fleer are already forming up, we're going to invade Tjaru and remove any and every trace of Ptahmose, we'll also be able to rescue the rest of the Rhososians and any other slaves"

"It'll buy time, that's the best we can hope for now", he looked around to the rest of the commanders in the room, "Time to deal with the Aschen and prepare for the Goa'uld"

Determined nods answered him, Sven Rooks gave a firm nod and stood up, they had a battle to prepare for.

P3X-289

Jack stood watch as Carter downloaded the database from the so called link, the former operator of the equipment in the room, Pallan, was assisting her, above Teal'c, Jolinar and SG-17 were assisting the rest of the population with preparations for their relocation to Heliopolis.

Jack was actually pleased with how smooth the mission had been, with their foreknowledge it was easy to convince Pallan that the computer system had been erasing their memories, that the dome had been slowly losing power and shrinking and that their link had been sending people out to die in the toxic cloud.

Pallan was quick to pull the device off his head after the truth had been explained and the team had rushed to the control centre where Pallan had shut it down, Jack's stomach had gotten itself into a knot after he first read the reports on what had happened to Pallan's wife originally, the sick feeling as he thought of forgetting the existence of Charlie, his son.

He shook his head in disgust as the thought intruded into his head as he watched Carter and Pallen work, "I'm heading topside for some air, radio if you need anything".

"Yes, sir", Carter replied, her head was stuck under a console attempting to connect it to a data drive, he nodded to Pallan and walked out,

Outside he met up with Teal'c, they watched as a rumbling vehicle slowly edged through the dome, a specialised APC the SGC had for exploring hostile environments, they would be using it to transfer the inhabitants to Heliopolis, he had learned this world was called Arion earlier, so the people must be Arionians he supposed.

"O'Neill, the evacuation proceeds as planned, we shall soon be finished here"

"Good", he looked around at the locals as they lined up to enter the APC, all wearing the same dull clothes, not a bright colour in sight, "They're nice and all, just a bit dull"

"Indeed", Teal'c was stone faced but Jack could hear the smile in that indeed.

Hours passed as the people were slowly evacuated, Carter had downloaded the database, a full historical one as well as a technical one, soon they were hitching a ride themselves, Jack imagining his comfy bed as the bumpy ride took them back to the SGC.

…..

The next day after a good sleep Jack was walking to the briefing room when he heard the worst racket in his life, the sound of thousands of leaf blowers at once assaulted his ears, it travelled through the station like water through a tube, hands moved to his head to block out he sound, his eyes narrowed at the closed door to the vehicle bay.

He kicked open the door and stepped inside like a man on a mission, "What the hell is that noise", he tried to shout but his voice was drowned out by the vehicle in the centre of the room, technicians wearing noise protection stood around watching as the machine slowly raised itself off the floor and began to hover.

He could feel the air moving as he approached a familiar shape, Major Jenson stood beside the technicians and was watching the show, Jack moved up and stood in front of the man, pointing to his mouth, Jenson nodded and shook the man beside him, soon the noise levels dropped as the vehicle returned to the ground.

Jack stuck a finger into his ear in an attempt to clear out the ringing, "Trying to deafen everyone on the station", he eventually asked as hearing returned.

"Sorry about that Colonel, I forgot we were on a space station there", a female voice called out from the hovercraft, "We'll need to install more sound deadening in the corridors", a lithe form jumped down from the top and walked over, "Captain Amelia Hill, Terran Marine Corps", she saluted him.

Jack gave a quick salute back, "At ease Captain, what's all this about?"

"The new hover tanks", Jenson spoke from beside him, "They just arrived"

Jack felt confusion coming, he really should read those base reports, "Hover tanks?"

The brunette Captain Hill nodded, her short five foot two frame vibrating in excitement, "Brand new off the assembly line, made especially for gate use", she turned and waved to the machine, "It can hover a few feet in the air and pass through a gate, good speed and armour too", she pointed to the gun, "And the pièce de résistance, a hundred and thirty millimetre gauss cannon"

"They based her on the old LTV-4", Jenson moved over and gave the tank a pat, "This one uses a fusion engine though, will be handy for fire support if things get hairy out there"

Jack walked closer and examined the machine, "Just a gauss cannon?", he asked as he looked at the main gun and the obvious missile launcher mounted on the turret, "Wont the recoil be a problem too?"

Hill's face started to turn a shade of red, "It is an issue, the tank has to land to fire or it'll fly back a good bit", she shrugged, "As for the weapons, she has a coax fifty cal and a long range missile launcher for anti air work, the main gun can also fire a variety of rounds using sabots, like high explosive, cluster and some non lethal stuff"

Jack nodded, "Alright, I'll leave you to it but keep the volume down, this thing is loud enough to wake the dead"

"Sir, I'll have the techs work on getting the sound insulation installed immediately", Hill saluted, she turned back to her machine and helped the driver climb out.

Jack nodded to Jenson and made his way out of the vehicle bay, he walked up the large corridor and turned off towards the briefing room, inside he could see SG-1 and Hammond already waiting, he walked in and gave a small wave, "Sorry, got held up in the vehicle bay", he quickly moved and took his seat.

"As I was saying", Hammond began pointedly, "We already established radio contact with the Orbanians, they are open to receiving a team to begin proper diplomatic contact, I expect we can get the same deal as the other universe"

"What about the issue with the children?", Daniel asked, he had returned from his trip to Earth after successfully locating the Goa'uld Osiris' canopic jar, they were keeping it secure until a decision was made, likewise a team was investigating the Tel'tak located in Egypt.

Hammond shrugged, "We can only give them the same information as the other team did, hopefully they can re-educate the people who had their nanites removed but the councils position is firm, gaining the kobolium reactor technology is our priority and we want the Orbanians as future allies"

Hammond gave them all a knowing look, "There is even an envoy on the way to the station to initiate full diplomatic dialogue with them and even offer them an invitation to the new alliance we're building"

Jack sighed, he didn't like it but he did understand, hopefully, eventually they could convince the Orbanians to stop using their children as mobile knowledge donors and go back to teaching them like normal people, if it wasn't for the Goa'uld he'd be having words with their government.

Hammond looked down at his watch, "You leave in four hours, try and leave a good impression, we need every ally we can get"

"Now, the mission to P3X-289, you recovered their database, anything useful?"

Carter nodded, "They had a similar level of development to ourselves before their environmental damage, not much space presence though, but the technology behind the dome is interesting, especially it's ability to filter out the toxins from the air, it'll be invaluable in toxic environments"

Hammond nodded, "Nothing to combat the Goa'uld in the short term?"

"No sir, apart from the dome and the link the only other bit of technology we could adapt for ourselves is the geothermal power plant and we already have better", Carter shrugged, "And we already know of other brain interface technologies, like the Colonial holoband"

"I see, what about the relocation effort?"

Jack shrugged, "There was only two thousand of them left by the time we arrived, it didn't take long to move them to Heliopolis, a few more days to move their stuff and we'll be done"

"Only two thousand?", Hammond asked aghast.

"Yes sir", Carter spoke, "In the other timeline it was only thirteen hundred, by arriving when he did we saved an additional seven hundred people, still the dome was originally designed for one hundred thousand", she shook her head at the end.

"You made a difference, that's all that matters", Hammond spoke solemnly, he saw that Jolinar wanted to speak and nodded to her.

"I have just been talking with the High Council", she began, "They are preparing a shipment of Transphase Eradication Rods, they should arrive tomorrow"

"A shipment of what?", Jack asked.

Jolinar looked aggrieved by his ignorance, "Devices that can detect and attack Reetou"

"Oh yeah", Jack rubbed his chin, "What's the deal with those bugs anyway?"

A look of anger flashed across her face, "The Goa'uld are the deal, like usual when they find something they cant control, they destroy, the system lords attacked the peaceful Reetou and destroyed the surface of their world, now they attack the Goa'uld in any way they can, including targeting the populations of Goa'uld hosts, inexcusable but understandable"

Jack narrowed his eyes as he remembered reading of the Reetou attack on the other SGC, "We'll need to keep an eye out for them", he looked to Jolinar, "Are they all invisible?"

"Out of phase and no, the Reetou were advanced but possessed little in the way of space travel, they were unable to defend themselves against the Goa'uld fleet, but they do have advanced biological technology, including bio cybernetics like their phase shift device, as far as we know all Reetou now have such a device implanted in their bodies"

Carter nodded, "Is that what Nirrti reverse engineered in the other timeline?"

Jolinar shrugged, "Most likely, the Goa'uld have long sought to replicate the Reetou's achievement, and we now know that the Sodan use a similar device"

"Sodan?", Jack asked, he was behind on the alternate SG-1 reports, this was the first time he heard that name.

"A group of rebel Jaffa, they have an almost legendary status among the rank and file", Teal'c spoke, "I once thought they were mere rumours"

Jolinar nodded, "The alternate SG-1 encounter them during their Ori war, unfortunately Sheppard was in Atlantis at the time, we don't know their address"

"Indeed, but we do know the location of the Hak'tyl, they would be a valuable ally against he Goa'uld, especially Moloc", Teal'c intoned.

"We'll need to table that for later", Hammond spoke, "I'd like Master Bra'tac's advice before I approve a mission to initiate contact, right now we'll focus on the advanced human powers"

Hammond turned to Jolinar, "Once we have the weapons can you set them up to scan the embarkation room after the gate is used?"

"A turret mounted system remotely operated from the control room should suffice, I will consult with Master Sergeant Siler on an appropriate system"

"Do so", Hammond leaned back, "We cant afford to take any chances with things like the Reetou, as soon as you return from Orban please see to that", Hammond stood, "Alright, you have a mission to get to, dismissed"

PC8-3Z1

20th August 2065

Aschen Expeditionary Fleet

The fleet appeared with a flash over the verdant green world, they were only four hundred light years from their target, Volia, the original outpost on PCX-301 had been abandoned for this new one on a much closer world, a team had waited to direct them here and now they had arrived, they had told them the SGC had acquired a bunch of new addresses somehow, this new world being one.

"Jump complete", Baltar's new XO called out, Commander Sheridan had joined the crew after his old XO was offered his own command.

On the screen he watched as a flight of vipers launched from the freighter and began patrolling around then turned his eyes to the planet below, it seemed to be the same standard Earth type with a variety of biomes.

"Sir, transmission from the surface", the comms officer called out.

"Patch it through"

"FOB gamma to fleet, come in", the speakers spat out.

"This is Captain Baltar of the Dublin speaking"

"Captain, glad you arrived, there's been some developments back home you'll want to know about"

"I'll be down shortly", he turned to the comms officer, "Tell the Amathus she can deploy the station, and have a shuttle prepared", he turned to Sheridan, "Work up a rotation for shore leave, we have a few days while Jalrow scouts out the system".

"Aye sir"

The Amathus carried a deployable repair and refuelling dock, it was made of an experimental inflatable modular construction, work crews should be waiting to gate in to finish construction by using the small foundry to create armour plate to coat the inflatable modules once they were assembled, after that they would work to slowly expand the station for future operations in Aschen space.

Baltar stood, their long journey here was complete, now they would scout out Volia and find out everything they could about the Aschen, war had arrived.
