Curtain Call
Chapter 32
(You know we are perfectly okay with keeping him with us.)
(Until he's ready to go home. I know you had a plan on how he would find out but right now.)
(He needs to process and digest this information. Away from you and Lucas. Given how close the both of you to this. We understand and support all of you involved here.) Mouth proclaimed.
Once the two close friends pulled apart.
Brooke sighed deeply. As much as she wanted to run upstairs and bring Eugene home. She knew that wasn't the way to handle this.
(We should go. Thank you. Thank Rachel for me.) Brooke replied.
(I will.) Mouth replied. As Brooke followed Lucas out of the home.
Brooke felt raw angry and frustrated. As she sat in the passenger seat.
Too upset and distracted to drive.
Lucas drove them back to Brooke's house.
He parked in the driveway. And turned to her.
(Are we going to talk about this?) Lucas questioned.
Brooke glared at him. (This wouldn't be happening now.)
(If you would of just left this alone. My son is confused and heartbroken because of you!) Brooke proclaimed.
(I wanted to tell him for so long but you refused. What Eugene is dealing with right now is because of you too.)
(I love that boy. I always have. What I've wanted more than anything. Is a calm simple life and family. But it feels more out of reach now then ever before.) Lucas admitted.
...
Lucas soon left her car and got into his car. He drove home.
Realizing any resolution wouldn't happen right now.
Lucas made it home and entered into it.
He was surprised to see Peyton there then again not really.
Peyton went up to him and hugged him tightly.
Lucas hugged her back.
(I heard about everything. I didn't know if you wanted company but I just didn't want to leave you alone.) Peyton explained.
The expression on Lucas's face softened. (Spend the night.?) He asked.
Peyton nodded her head in agreement.
...
