The Marauders were in the library a couple weeks later, laughing about how Dolores Umbridge was making a big deal of the dragon, making it seem like it had just happened yesterday.
"Madam Pomfrey already told her she was completely healed, but she's acting as though she was not healed at all," Capella said with a roll of her eyes.
"Aww, poor Dolores!" Lyanna said with a smirk. "But she asked for it!"
At that moment, Narcissa entered the library. She was Head Girl this year, so at first, they thought she was just there on Head Girl duties. However, when she started walking their way, they knew that it had to be something else.
"Sirius, Regulus, Severus, Capella, and Lyanna, can you come with me please?" Narcissa asked.
"What's going on, Cissa?" Sirius asked.
"Andromeda, she just had…" Narcissa started.
Sirius widened his eyes. He had nearly forgotten what day it was. Today was the day Nymphadora Tonks was born. "Did she just have the baby?" he asked hopefully.
Narcissa smiled. "Yes, and we're going to St. Mungo's to go see the baby," she informed them.
Sirius turned to the other Marauders. "We'll see you all later," he said as he stood. "We have to get going. We can finish our conversation later." Regulus, Severus, Capella, and Lyanna stood as well.
"See you later," Regulus said as they headed out of the library, following Narcissa.
They arrived at the headmaster's office quickly.
"I told them what's going on," Narcissa said as they walked in. "But Sirius guessed it."
Melania smiled at Sirius with that knowing look. "Alright, let's go," Melania said.
"We'll go through the Floo Network two at a time, to make this go a little faster," Arcturus stated.
Arcturus and Melania went first. Sirius and Regulus followed closely behind. Capella and Lyanna went next, and finally, Severus and Narcissa went through.
When everyone arrived at St. Mungo's, they were led to a room by a healer, who introduced herself as Healer Lewis. She led them into a room where Andromeda and Ted were, with Andromeda holding the newborn. Andromeda's healer was there as well. Healer Lewis introduced them to the healer, who was Healer Ross.
"Thank you for bringing them, Healer Lewis," Healer Ross said gratefully. Healer Lewis nodded and stepped out of the room. Healer Ross turned to Arcturus and Melania. "Lord Black, Lady Black, it is a pleasure," she said with a gentle smile. She then greeted the others before continuing. "Andromeda is doing well after giving birth. I will leave you to visit with her for a little bit." Healer Ross left the room.
"So?" Narcissa asked immediately.
"It's a girl," Andromeda said quietly. "We decided to name her Nymphadora."
"That's a beautiful name!" Narcissa exclaimed.
"That is certainly a beautiful name," Melania agreed. Sirius smiled amusedly.
"But it's a bit hard for a child to pronounce," he said.
Ted grinned, "We'll call her Dora."
"Do you want to hold her?" Andromeda asked.
Melania smiled. "Of course," she said. Andromeda handed her Nymphadora. "She's such a cute little one," Melania said, looking down at Nymphadora. Arcturus came to Melania's side.
"Nymphadora will be quite remarkable, quite special, when she grows up, I can already tell you that for sure," Arcturus stated. "It is about time the Black Family has some changes." Ted looked at Arcturus, confused.
"Changes?" he asked curiously.
"Yes," Arcturus confirmed. "It's not everyday when a Muggle-born marries a Black, and then has a child. It is about time this family sees some new blood."
Andromeda smiled. "Don't let my parents hear you say that," she half-joked.
Melania handed Nymphadora over to Arcturus, so he could take a turn holding her. "I don't plan on telling them anything," Arcturus said reassuringly. "I will not say anything to your parents unless you want me to. I don't even know when I last spoke to them. It has been a while. I think they are still angry with me for overruling them when they tried disowning you." He gazed at the baby lovingly.
Andromeda rolled her eyes. "They could hold a grudge for decades," she said.
"Mother and Father definitely held grudges for a long time," Sirius stated.
"Speaking of, how is Orion doing?" Arcturus asked, knowing that Andromeda knew much more than he did about whatever happened to Orion.
Andromeda sighed. "He's doing well. I was supposed to speak to him today, but that won't be happening," Andromeda replied.
"You still talk to him?" Melania asked.
"I won't get into the details, but basically, as a healer, I'm trying to help him with some challenges, if you will," Andromeda said with a sigh. "He's stubborn."
Everyone chuckled. Nymphadora started to cry.
"I think she wants her mother," Arcturus said, gently handing her back over to Andromeda.
Capella grinned. "She's just adorable!" she said.
"Sis, did you send a letter to Uncle Orion to tell him you wouldn't be able to see him today?" Narcissa asked.
"I did," Ted spoke up. Everyone stared at him.
"He probably won't like that," Severus stated.
"Probably not, but it's better than no one informing him," Ted responded.
"I can just imagine his face when he received a letter from a Muggle-born," Regulus said with a laugh.
"Same here," Sirius agreed.
Andromeda smiled. "Well, this little one is getting tired," she said quietly.
"Then we'll leave you to it," Melania said with understanding. "If you need any help, any at all, let us know. We're always here for you, Andromeda."
"Blacks stick together," Arcturus added. "And we had two children, so we are more than happy and ready to help in any way."
"Thank you," Andromeda and Ted said in unison, grateful for the offer.
"I am sure that Lucretia and Ignatius will be by to see you and the baby soon," Melania said. Andromeda nodded with a smile.
As the Blacks walked out of St. Mungo's, Sirius couldn't help but grin. Nymphadora was going to be special indeed, and he had already told Arcturus, Melania, and Regulus about her, so they were all looking forward to getting to know the girl who would one day say, 'Don't call me Nymphadora!' Arcturus had already promised to try to help her see the value in going by her first name, not her last name. After all, Blacks always went by their first names, whether they liked them or not. Nymphadora Tonks was bound to be very special, indeed.
