The parts referring to what is 'projecting':
What is said in the projection or if it refers to a fic, which you have permission to use.
What PJ's Characters Are Seeing and Hearing
Explanations will begin in Chapter 7 or 8.
The next chapter has references to fanfics, as well as small glimpses of ideas I had, but I don't think I will do
"Don't underestimate mortals, you might be surprised at what humans are capable of doing or achieving."
If he had known what would be shown after those words, Bellerophon would have led the younger ones out of the thrones room, instead he was trying to calm them down and judging by the reactions they had, it seemed like they didn't even know they were demigods.
Luckily for him a sense of calm and tranquility was present for the children, just before he heard a female voice behind him.
"They shouldn't have seen that," said the former queen of the Titans, who was accompanied by her eldest daughter, who decided to remain at a physical age of 20, both having approached the youngest and most ignorant children of what was happening, who were the furthest from the public, at the same time as they were the closest to the doors of the Olympic Council room.
Bellerophon, who had turned around, was about to say something when he noticed that there were a pair of deities just like the ones standing in front of him, in the same place they had been before, in front of the majority of those present.
They both noticed the green-eyed man's confusion so Hestia said: "Duplicating or dividing ourselves is normal, although usually not in the same place."
Bellerophon accepted what the goddess of fire and hearth said, to begin speaking.
"My ladies-" Bellerophon began, as well as bowing as a sign of respect when they heard the voice of another of the children of the sea
"The generation of this era," Chrysaor said with a snort as he saw the younger half-breeds, as well as the reactions of both the members of the Roman legion and the members of the half-blood camp.
"The world is no longer the same as it was, nephew," said Hestia, faced with the attitude of the aforementioned
"I don't think so," said Medusa's son as he pointed with his hand to what was shown on the screen, being the view of each of the people affected by the gas that was created by man with a scarecrow mask, since Chryasor had no concern that his aunt and grandmother reacted like most gods or titans after all they were some of the calmest deities that existed.
"I think it would be better to take the children out, they don't seem to be ready to see something like this," said Theseus, trying to avoid an argument or that his half-brother continues to disrespect the goddess and the titaness.
"I think that would be best," Rhea said, before she along with her daughter and grandson Bellerophon took the younger ones outside so they wouldn't be exposed to any more horrific images shown by the projection, as well as to reassure them and explain to the children what they were.
Meanwhile Theseus and his son were staring at Medusa's son
"What?" said Chrysaor
Among the rest of the spectators, the different Greek or Roman mestizos were quite affected by what they were seeing, because it seemed more horrible to them than everything that had happened to the mestizos who had died in recent years, at least those they have heard of or come to know.
They only began to calm down when the image stopped showing those horrible visions and started to show Perseus with Calypso, a red-haired girl and a cyclops talking to another peculiar group, although also part of that tranquility was due to the other personifications of Hestia and Rhea, although they didn't have to help them so much in it, since at least they knew what they were and were better adjusted than the young people they took out of the room
But the same cannot be said for the mortals who were present who would have been traumatized if it weren't for a few other kind gods like Hebe or Rhodes who have interacted more with humans, so they were protecting their minds, as was the case with Sally Jackson, whom Rhodes was protecting her. But by making it part of the human woman's thoughts were perceived by the sea goddess and because of this she realized that she was the mother of her half-brother.
Because of this Rhodes entered her mind to know more, then she knew that her brother was standing next to his mother only that Helios' wife could not see him unlike his mortal mother.
However, the wife of Helios refrained from telling or informing her brothers, and her mother of the presence of the demigod, since it was not the right time, instead she tried to reach the mind of her half-brother, because knowing of his age and his ignorance of his nature until a few moments ago, his mind must be acting closer to that of a mortal, but she could not do so as something prevented her from doing so. Then she noticed, or rather, she felt her grandfather's power in a very, very subtle way in the place where Percy was.
As she turned to look at her grandfather, she noticed that both, he and her grandmother were looking at her, they didn't need words to agree to keep silent about the boy.
But other spectators of Olympus, such as Hephaestus, Nike or Athena, were more focused on how a mortal was capable of creating something like that, the knowledge and ability to create a chemical-biological weapon that a mortal would need to do so, as well as the science and technology behind it was not possible, since mortals were very far away from them, perhaps a century and a half or more, but not now... a difference from what the projection showed it appeared to be currently.
Ares was also wondering about the scarecrow mask guy, not quite for the same reasons, after all some of his sons had dominion over fear, terror and panic, but they used to use it when he participates in mortal wars and his children accompanied him, but that hasn't happened in a couple of centuries, in which their children only mess with the minds of mortals and not so much in the slaughter... or when they're bothering their mortal half-siblings.
Although they too, as well as several others, had more and more questions with what they saw, such as the mortal with the appearance of a crocodile, as well as the men who had a radical change due to the strange liquid that entered their bodies, of which only a few realized that it was actually the same mortal. But they also had questions about the son of the sea, for seeing him with Calypso they could feel that he possessed a power that surpasses the weakest members of the Olympic Council, but when they saw him underwater with the daughter of Zeus and other strange mortals, they could feel that his power was greater, being almost on par with Poseidon and his two brothers...
They weren't sure if it was the full power of the demigod or not… and either possibility should be impossible.
So when the image changed to show the son of the sea and company, Apollo was able to feel some of his power in the redhead, it was not enough to be one of his daughters, a legacy perhaps? or someone he blessed?.
But when they were seen talking to another peculiar group, the spectators on Olympus did not recognize the language; to some like Apollo, some of the words sounded very similar to Japanese, but not quite, while other viewers thought that different words sounded similar to words from other languages and were also not really from those languages... it was strange... and it got stranger when the capabilities of the group with which Perseus spoke were shown.
"What the-?!"
"What the fuck?!"
"What's that?!"
"By Hades!"
"By Zeus!"
"By Júpiter!"
Too many exclamations were given when they saw the boy in the red vest stretch out his arms as if they were rubber bands, the blond guy in the tuxedo-like suit beating a gigantic crocodile with a kick, the guy with the dyed green hair fighting another dark-skinned man who could transform parts of his body into blades, which caused him wounds that should be fatal and yet the young man with green hair continued to fight.
"Dionysus" Both Hermes and Apollo began to say the name of their half-brother, since what they saw seemed crazy, no mortal should be capable of that
"Don't look at me, I have nothing to do with this"
"Does anyone have any idea what's going on?" Bentesicime asked, when everone saw that group fight against what looked like humanoid beings with sea animal features, which demonstrated a superhuman ability in fighting.
In addition to that she, like everyone else, wondered about those monsters, especially the Atlanteans and those able to see souls, why they could feel or see that they were not sea monsters... they were mortals.
But before they could deepen their curiosity on these strange mortals, the projection changed to show Perseus training in some large training area that appeared to be from the special forces or some military branch, as they could see various individuals training with the various teams in the place, as well as hand-to-hand fighting in some parts of the place.
The projection showed various moments of Perseus who seemed to be 22 years old in both soul and body, training on his own or with some of the mortals present.
However, to the confusion of the deities they were unable to sense any trace of divinity emanating from Perseus, he felt like an ordinary mortal, and for gods like Hades, Jackson's soul was that of a human. That didn't make sense, since several of those present could make out the numerous scars on his arms or body, in the moments when he was shown shirtless.
Scars that were caused by swords, claws, teeth and more... did Poseidon repudiate him?
The visions may not have been clear or full of confusion, but they had felt the power he had when he looked older.
At least those were the questions of the deities, while the demigods, legates, huntresses, and other curious onlookers in Sally Jackson's son, were more amazed at the pace of training Jackson was doing, he was trying harder than any demigod in camp or in the Legion.
"Was that what he meant by not underestimating mortals?" several wondered aloud when they saw many moments when humans (It was obvious to the demigods, especially the Greeks, that the other individuals in the place were mortal because of their ages) managed to knock Percy down.
Chiron was one of those who analyzed training the most, he knew that some of his students, as well as the Romans, had realized that the mortals with whom Perseus was shown to train could defeat many half-breeds and legates in a fight, since they showed better training and knowledge of combat. Moments like this gave Chiron some disappointment with himself, because he knew that he did not have the same success with his current students in training them if he compared them at any time with their brothers from the times of Greece. It was not the same to train from a demigod to a maximum of 5 of them, than to train dozens of them. Besides, the centaur could bet anything that the Romans were still clinging to old tradition.
On the other hand, Sally Jackson felt some guilt, along with a bit of regret, seeing her son's 'future' will be tied to combat, they may be seeing other individuals as well, but it was obvious to her that her son's life would be involved in the conflict, 'should she have sent him to camp years ago so that he would be better prepared?' was the question on Sally's mind.
Unbeknownst to them, Poseidon as well as his daughter Rhodes, wondered the same, as they had a hunch that Percy's 'future' would not be normal, even by the standards of a son of Zeus, Poseidon or Hades.
As for the projection, Perseus' training was still shown, which seemed to show that he was a fast learner, as his opponents could not use the same trick or move twice. However, to everyone's surprise was that their main instructors were a 30-year-old blond man and a beautiful 25-year-old red-haired woman with green eyes.
"Wow," some half-breeds exclaimed
They watched him get knocked down in training, just so that Perseus would improve and not make the same mistake, with both individuals having great skill in combat, like when Perseus was shown fighting both of them at the same time, and he had to give it his all not to lose and even then he barely managed to win when he managed to knock the man out, although the training fight became more intense after that, because the woman made it clear that she could be someone lethal, due to the skill she displayed, such as at the moment when she applied a chokehold to Perseus' neck with her legs to make him lose consciousness, while also hitting him in the head.
Perseus was only able to free himself when he let himself fall hard so that the woman's body hit the ground and let him go. But despite giving his best effort as the sparring match continued, he was barely able to subdue the woman.
"It's not possible," that comment echoed in the throne room, as several said it to the astonishment of the woman's ability.
If anyone were to observe Artemis, her huntresses, or the few Amazons on Olympus, they might notice what seemed like a peculiar twinkle in their eyes, as they watched the red-haired woman with great attention.
"That's a real woman" Ares couldn't help but say as he looked lustfully at the woman, as did several other deities, only to be glared at by various women, or in the case of Ares by Aphrodite.
Upon hearing the god of war, Artemis decided to look for the redhead on screen to join her hunt, she was not the only one with such thoughts.
But before she, Athena, or anyone else would initiate an argument with the male gods, the image changed to show Perseus, the woman and the man with others, which again were peculiar.
One of them was a man in some sort of red-colored technological armor, and they only knew it was armor because they could see his face, another blond man in some sort of navy blue tactical suit holding a red and blue shield that had a star in the center, a blond man with an imposing body with a peculiar armor and a hammer, who immediately attracted the attention of the gods; And finally there was a huge green-skinned man.
Various thoughts and ideas surged in the minds of viewers and only got worse when incredible situations were shown, such as an invasion of unknown creatures to New York through a portal in the sky above the city.
"By Hades!"
"By Zeus!"
"What the fuck?"
¡By Jupiter!
"What's that?"
"What the?"
Very few could help but be surprised and exclaim their astonishment at what they saw:
Spaceships and/or futurists descending from the sky
An African-American man taking down the city's criminals such as mobsters, gang members, kidnappers, and was unaffected by the shots that were fired at him, as well as demonstrating superhuman strength
A black-haired woman with superhuman strength
A man in a red suit with small horns, fighting with the different criminals in the city, as well as...
"Ninjas?!" —
"What's going on in Hades?!" —
"Does anyone have any idea what the hell is going on?"
The lack of knowledge, great confusion, surprise, and disbelief began to drive the spectators on Olympus crazy, especially when they saw ninjas in New York, when they again saw Perseus and the man in the reddish garment helping to evacuate some children from a hospital, which was later invaded by the ninjas.
"What kind of mortals does your son know?!" Hades couldn't help but question Poseidon before anyone else when he was shown a man in a green martial arts suit and a kind of yellow mask to cover half of his head.
A man who demonstrated great skill in combat with martial arts, as well as performing superhuman feats, not to mention that one of his fists glowed with some kind of power.
Only Hades and a few others noticed that this man had a great life force.
"And how was I supposed to know?" replied Poseidon with another question
"If you were attentive to your son," Thetys told her son-in-law, much to the surprise of his son-in-law, her daughter, her grandchildren, and others who heard her.
The projection went on to show various individuals, one in a red and blue suit with a spider on his chest swinging around New York, with some kind of net coming out of hands or wrists, a woman in a peculiar suit with wings and capable of shrinking to the size of an insect, a man in a reddish suit and similar helmet, that it was capable of shrinking as well, but it could also grow and become a giant.
"This is not possible"
"It can't be..."
"Impossible!"
The astonishment that spectators had at seeing mortals capable of performing feats that should not be possible for humans was palpable in the hall of the Olympic Council, whether of the gods, titans, demigods, legates, or others.
None could understand how it was possible that these humans could do each of these feats, but they had a brief moment to breathe and calm their astonishment when he changed the projection again to show Perseus traveling on a train with a black-haired boy, another who appeared to have pink hair, a beaty blonde girl, and other beaty redhair girl. They looked younger than the son of the sea, who appeared to be 18 or 19 years old physically, while his companions were between 16 and 18 years old. But Jackson's soul was shown to be over 400 years old, and the deities could sense great power in him, at least on par with when they saw him physically older with Calypso.
Then the astonishment returned when it showed the boy with the pink hair spitting fire as if he were a dragon, the black-haired man manipulating the ice, the redhead changing and summoning different armors on her body, armor that seemed to grant her various abilities, while the blonde girl used what looked like keys to summon other beings.
"What kind of mortals are these?!" was the million-drachmas question and was almost shouted by Apollo
"They're... mages" Hecate paid no attention to Apollo, she was focused on the individuals Perseus knows, as the goddess was able to sense magic in them, but she seemed to behave in a very strange way in each one, and had the same feeling about the magic that she seemed to feel surrounding the apparent magicians.
Although no one expected it was because of those words (or at least those who heard her) that the projection seemed to react, as the image changed to show Perseus who now seemed to be approaching 30 years old standing in a cemetery, while a black-haired boy with emerald green eyes was standing behind him, at the same time that about two dozen men were standing in front of them, while pointing at Perseus with...
"Are those wands?" some of those present wondered aloud, such as Alabaster, the son of Hecate, or the Ramírez sisters, daughters of Bellona.
Although others found the existence of magic wands or the clothes worn by the men in front of Perseus ridiculous, nevertheless the apparent leader of these gave them other opinions...
"What the is that?"
"Is it a snake monster?"
"Is he a phenomenon or a mutant?"
But they got no answers, as the magi attacked Perseus with spells and curses, while the son of the sea protected the child
"¡ Avada Kedavra!"
"Professor!" the boy shouted as the abnormal-looking man shouted a spell and a sickly green light came out of his wand to strike Perseus
Hades, Hecate and others could sense the essence of death in that spell used by the magician, so so they came up with the idea that whatever that spell was, it was meant to kill its target on impact, plus they could see that the man who performed that magic had his soul damaged.
Back at the screening, they saw that the boy had nothing to worry about when Jackson deflected the spell with his own wand to hit another of the men, who died on impact, despite having no injuries..
"He's dead?!" Thalia exclaimed upon seeing the man's corpse, while several half-breeds, especially the Greeks wondered if they could use this 'Avada Kedavra' against the monsters.
"Who are you?"
"Prince Charles," Perseus replied as he blocked other magic attacks from the rest of the wizards.
One or another half-breed or god couldn't help but snort or smile at the answer given by the son of Poseidon to the man with a French accent, while others were surprised by the magic that Perseus performed to block magical attacks, attacks that varied greatly, being spells or curses of fire, lightning, Transfiguration of the debris that was generated in the fight and thrown against the Son of the Sea, apparently giving life to some statues in the tombs and others of which they had no idea.
Part of the astonishment was because rarely does a demigod or legacy learn magic, unless it is related to Hecate herself, either a descendant or a blessed one. There was also the fact that several half-breeds thought that perhaps this was why Poseidon's son came to live so long, especially the Greeks.
Perseus enclosed the boy in a kind of bubble for his protection while the mages stopped attacking as the leader of the mages spoke, "You must be the illustrious Professor Jackson. Wormtail has told me a lot"
"Professor?!" Percy exclaimed in surprise, as many half-breeds did, for he did not imagine himself as some kind of teacher, unless it was something about sports. The demigods thought the same thing about any half-breed, unless of course they were children of Athena.
"Someone has been talking," Perseus said before magically attacking another man who appeared to have rat-like features, but was saved by the leader of the mages
"Please don't do that," the man said disdainfully, "I still use him"
"Someone needs to do it... By the way, you're an ugly son of a bitch, did you know? Did you choose to look like this? Because if you did it, I have questions, I have questions."
Despite the experiences that the half-breeds have had, several of them were uncomfortable with Jackson's way of acting, that he was going straight to kill mortals, and of the mortals in the room, most were even more uncomfortable.
On the other hand, some wondered if Perseus was really asking that question or he was just doing it to annoy the magician, only the magician ignored him.
"I've been told you're a mudblood, and yet you have such tremendous power... It´s curious"
"I drank my milk when I was a kid. But that's a pretty interesting observation of your tastes—
"How's that? I may despise your race, but I'm not blind to talent"
"Well, I just think it's interesting that you think that since your mother was a Muggle."
"Ahhhh... He doesn't know he's fighting a demigod, does he?" Hebe had approached her husband, she asked him, not quite sure.
"It seems" her husband said, at the same time that she could hear several others asking the same question to others.
"I am Lord Voldemort, a descendant of Salazar himself," said the wizard in a growl, "The blood of that filth does not flow in my veins, and it would be wise never to utter such lies again."
"Oh, don't say that," laughed Professor Jackson, "Merope would be very heartbroken."
"It made him angry," was the statement given by many of the spectators when the magician roared in rage as he attacked Sally Jackson's son again
The fight continued, with the mages attacking Perseus harder, and only a few realized that Jackson hadn't been fighting it all, as he began to take magical combat seriously.
"Avada Kedavra!"
The death spell shot out of Voldemort's wand, but to the surprise of the magicians, Perseus did not bother to block or avoid it, he just caught the spell with his hand effortlessly.
"How did you do that?" everyone could hear the surprise in Voldemort's voice
"Magic"
Voldemort screamed in rage, determined to kill him as Perseus was a threat and an enemy to him.
But the rain began, sounds of lightning from a thunderstorm were present as the force of the rain increased
"At last one who can," Kymopoleia said when she saw that her half-brother could summon a storm, hoping that the demigod are a little like her
On the other hand, the demigods of old were greatly surprised by the abilities of Poseidon's youngest son, and they were not the only ones
"¡Aaaaarrrrggggg!"
"¡Aaaaahhhhhh!"
"Your son is a threat!" exclaimed Zeus at the power shown by his nephew in the projection while ignoring the cries of the magicians who now had to protect themselves from the deadly raindrops, without much success in doing so.
"Oh, SHUT UP!" interrupted Poseidon, "Anyone with any power you see as a threat or just because they don't bow to you or because you're throwing a tantrum!" the sea king ended with a taunt to his brother who glared at him furiously
"You know..." said Professor Jackson, his voice resounded with power that attracted the attention of all the spectators. "This is what amuses me about magicians, You are very proud of that power of theirs. When you only wield a minuscule amount of power and believe that makes you special. You think it makes you strong... But you have no idea what power is"
They may have been just words, but they left a wide variety of diverse opinions on the different individuals on Mount Olympus who witnessed what the projection showed, which only the previous rulers of the oceans and seas could realize was from the primordials themselves.
The confusion continues on Olympus, as they witness the existence of unusual mortals, who somehow the son of Poseidon came to know, at the same time as they are witnesses of the apparent power and ability that he will have. In adittion he will be no ordinary demigod, not even by the standards of a son of Zeus, Poseidon and Hades.
