What PJ's Characters Are Seeing and Hearing
The next chapter has references to fanfics, as well as small glimpses of ideas I had, but I don't think I will do
"I don't know, and part of that also happened with the daughter of Zeus and I don't understand what those strange mortals have to do with it"
Hades didn't understand why they were seeing mortals out of the ordinary, but it was clear that it was for a reason. But I also still didn't know how it was that some of them showed power or abilities that mortals didn't have, and shouldn't have.
Then the screen changed to show a woman almost 6'3'' tall she was also wearing a kind of white Greek dress, along with some gold and bronze bracelets and shoulder pads, similar to the color of imperial gold and light blue bronze.
She was very beautiful, plus the gods, along with a few others could immediately feel the divinity emanating from her as she walked towards the daughter of Zeus they had seen before, divinity that was identical to Athena's, but much stronger.
"Did you change your appearance, Athena?" Aphrodite said, finding no other difference between the divinity emanating from the goddess of projection and the goddess of wisdom in the Olympian council room, other than the divinity of the screen being stronger. "Finally"
Athena decided to look at herself, while wondering why she would change her appearance, she wasn't Aphrodite who let others see what they wanted or some of the other female deities who altered her appearance.
"My lady Athena," Diana greeted respectfully
For a brief moment, Zeus' paranoia was suspicious of his favorite daughter as he sensed his daughter's power difference with Metis, while others realized that the two women were in some state-of-the-art installation at the same time as they saw the man dressed as a bat in the background of the projection, next to one in a green outfit. And those who saw them began to think various things
"Just call me Athena, sister," the goddess said with a gentle smile before putting a hand to her chin as she analyzed Diana
Everyone who knew the attitude as well as the temperament of the goddess of wisdom and war, found it very strange to see her smiling, even if her appearance had become different.
"You should comb your hair the other way, it looks better on you," Athena said, arranging Diana's hairstyle, and surprising her
"..."
"..."
"..."
No one knew how to respond to the attitude of the daughter of Themis, Athena herself had her mouth and eyes open to her future actions
"Hermes/Dionysius/Apollo" the three mentioned said the name of one of the other two, thinking that he was playing a joke on them again
But everyone's disbelief increased again when the image changed to show Athena with the appearance of black hair and gray eyes, wearing a business suit as she chased 19- or 20-year-old Percy Jackson through the streets of New York
They both ran through the streets of New York at a speed that humans could not run, if they had been normal humans they would have caused several traffic accidents or would have been hit by a bus or car, but they avoided pedestrians and vehicles with such skill, as well as speed, that several mortals did not even realize that they had stood in the way of both beings with divinity
"Please! " exclaimed the woman, who despite making a scene, did not want to make it worse.
"No!" was the response the young adult gave, refusing to look back.
"I'm going to scream if you don't listen to me!" Maintaining the previous tone of voice, she spoke again.
"You're already doing it in case you didn't notice!" Turning right on a busy street in New York City, the man alleged.
"I was going to say that," Hephaestus said
"Why are you chasing him?" asked a very confused Artemis, and surprised to see her half-sister chasing a man. Especially since Athena seemed to have no intention of killing or hurting him
She wasn't the only one surprised, the demigods and other individuals who were not deities, were the most confused and surprised to see the goddess of wisdom act like this with the son of the sea and the daughter of Zeus in the previous vision
"Narration?" although some wondered aloud at the on-screen subtitles as if they were narrating or writing what was happening.
"Then I'll keep doing it until you stop and obey me!" Quickening her pace so as not to lose her footing, the woman shouted.
"It's about time you found someone!" said Aphrodite with a smile and moving her eyebrows suggestively. "Little Athena grew up!"
"Of course not!" exclaimed the goddess of wisdom at the remark of Uranus' last daughter, while Zeus stiffened his face at the thought of his favorite daughter with a son of Poseidon
Unfortunately for this woman, when she turned the corner she could see with big eyes how her target sprinted at full speed through the crowd, thus demonstrating the innate tenacity she possessed not to bow to the whims of others.
Despite this, the lady of splendid beauty, who caused envy in many mortals even if she was dressed as the owner of a renowned company, saw the escape of the black haired man as a challenge. Demonstrating great skill, she emulated acting, running quickly while wearing high heels.
"It seems that your beloved goddess replaced you," said the son of Medusa to the former king of Athenas, knowing how much his brother respected the goddess in the past. Joking around mainly because he was getting bored.
"Just because he's from Athens, doesn't mean he's in love with her."
"You're not funny," Chryasor said at his brother's refusal to follow him in the joke to avoid boredom
"You can run but not hide, Perseus!" Once again exclaimed the owner with the analytical gray eyes.
"Leave me alone, Athena! Go bother Ares!" implored the demigod, eluding innocent passers-by who almost ended up knocked down.
"Not until you show me that library!" More assertive, the goddess of wisdom claimed.
"I should have imagined it," said Aphrodite with disappointment, in a dramatic way
"Fuck you! I never will!" lacking any vocal filter, Poseidon's replacement responded.
"What?! Athena exclaimed at what the son of the sea said, as did some of her children, when they were offended by it
While the rest were completely astonished by the son of the sea's lack of respect towards a goddess.
"He's going to get him killed," Proteus couldn't help but say, which his sisters, brother, stepmother, and father all agreed to
"You're a...!" Frowning, the woman momentarily paused to pin her long hair in a ponytail and remove her heels, subsequently proceeding to run not only more comfortably, but also faster.
A detail that did not go unnoticed by Jackson, as his survival instincts screamed at him to flee faster.
"Why didn't you kill him?" asked Artemis, but she wasn't the only one with that question, since she could hear some of the huntresses and some of the half-breeds asking the same question
"Or why didn't she curse him?" said Hippolytus, having managed to hear the question aloud from the goddess of the hunt
It may have been the stupidest thing he ever decided to do, but for a split second Percy chose to look over his right shoulder at what was going on behind him. To say that he ended up frightened was an understatement, as the distance between the two Greek beings had been reduced almost to the maximum.
"Oh, shit" the man muttered nervously.
Metis' daughter could hear the man's words, smiling subconsciously. Even if he didn't say it out loud, he was finding the persecution jovial, almost as if an old memory from Ancient Greece was replaying itself, where he also persecuted another son of Poseidon in order to force him to let him read the library he owned.
"Are you enjoying it?!" Many gods could not help but exclaim this question to the surprised goddess, who could not take her eyes off the screen because of her astonishment
"Athena..."
"Athena..."
Said goddess was unaware that the others were trying to get her attention, while she watched her future self chase after the son of the sea with a smile of amusement
In the end it was her father's scream that made her react
"What?"
The rest of the spectators didn't know what to say or do in the face of Athena's reaction, since she had never acted like that. Although some others were more curious about the words that appeared at the bottom of the projection, as if they were telling what was happening, especially the part about chasing another son of Poseidon
The image then changed as if they were watching a video to show that they had arrived at Central Park and Jackson was about to be caught by the goddess, when he stumbled and spun backwards, a moment that was taken advantage of by Athena when she knocked him down.
Curiously, Aphrodite was looking at the daughter of Metis who was surprised by her own actions as was the rest of the audience, except for Rhodes who watched her
They both rolled for a few moments until they stopped and the goddess was on top of Percy, leaving the spectators with their eyes open and/or their mouths because of the position they were in.
"I told you that you could never hide from me, Perseus Jackson" Instinctively, Athena sat on the demigod's abdomen and held his arms above his head, totally immobilizing him thanks to her strength, "Now I want you to take me to Atlantis and let me see everything that is down there" commanded the goddess, smiling for having subjugated her rival's son.
"ATHENA!" Zeus, along with Artemis, could not help exclaiming at the words of the future goddess, in a furious and scandalized manner
"They're always the ones you least expect," Apollo and Hermes couldn't help but say
It took a moment for the goddess of wisdom to understand the double meaning, before she looked offended and scandalized at the four deities, while Aphrodite laughed
"So, you are our little brother's father-in-law?" Bentesicime couldn't help but joke with Triton, who had raised Athena, so he looked at his sister with annoyance, while his other sisters and brother laughed a little at the comment
"That sounded so bad..." Stopping the struggle, Percy snapped with a stick face.
Everyone could see that it took a moment for the Athena of the future to understand what the son of Poseidon meant, and when she did, her face was filled with an amalgam of shame and anger over it.
But then an Iris message appeared about three feet away from them, where they could see a Triton who seemed to be quite happy
"Hey, Perseus. I called you to find out how... Oh!, I see that I'm interrupting something..."
Triton was very surprised at the attitude that his future self showed with his half-brother, being first happy and then surprised.
-Eh!? No! Wait, help..! –
No one overlooked that Percy Jackson seemed to want help from Poseidon's heir
"Were you able to get through to him, son?" Amphitrite's voice was heard from afar.
The Atlanteans were quite surprised and confused, as the brief attitude seen, as well as the tone of voice of the queen of Atlantis, was very different from how they acted with any of the demigod sons of Poseidon
"Yes, mother. But he is currently suffering from an Aegean code" turning to look at someone who could not be seen from the fog, the progeny of the Atlantean kings enunciated.
"Aegean Code?" several wondered at Triton's words, but only a second later they heard Poseidon's worried cry
"Is the owl head trying to rape my son?!"
"WHAT?! no one knew who shouted it first, but many made that exclamation at the words of the king of Atlantis at the projection, as the screen went black
"Do you have a code for that?" asked a dumbfounded Dionysus to the Atlantean gods who could not answer because of the question that followed
"Wait, Athena has already raped one of your sons, uncle?" it was Apollo who asked, totally surprised and anxious to know
Athena on the other hand couldn't believe that the other gods thought that of her, not only members of the council, but also lesser gods as they seemed very interested in hearing the answer, as did several of the half-breeds, with HER own children looking at her in complete surprise and disbelief. "I never…"
Meanwhile, the progeny of Uranus and Gaia, along with Hera, looked at Zeus who seemed not to react, Rhea was about to approach her son, but was stopped by her brothers. While some others like Hades felt a migraine trying to understand what was going on
But the projection lit up again showing Perseus and Annabeth Chase both looking like they were 17 or 18 years old, it was hard to tell because they were somewhat pale and thin, as if they hadn't eaten properly in several days. They were both standing on a beach where Athena was also standing, but she didn't have a serious face, but a curious one.
There was also Diana, as well as a woman very much like her, who could pass for her older sister, and the last individual was Poseidon by feeling of power, but his appearance was different, he had one more like the representations that mortals have of him, of a man with an imposing body, but long white hair, as well as a long, white beard. Besides, he was laughing
"But... what is this?" Hades said quietly, because he was very confused, for the daughter of Zeus did not show herself to have the divinity of a son or daughter of her younger brother, but seemed to have the divinity of a son of Athena, but her divinity surpassed any demigod present and several gods.
He wasn't the only one who noticed that strange fact, Hera was one of those who noticed them.
At first the queen of Olympus was confused by this, but then she thought that Zeus must have done something to hide the fact that Diana was his daughter "Zeus" she growled at the end at his name
"I must say that's quite a story, Perseus." Poseidon announced once his laughter had died down, then his gaze turned to the other occupants of the beach, before stopping at Chase. "Then, you must be Annabeth. Perseus has told me a lot about you. In fact, I think I know more about you than I do about him."
"Then he likes clever girls," Aphrodite remarked at the closeness that Poseidon's son seemed to have, earning a furious look from Athena
"Oh? And how long have you been talking about me?" the blonde asked Perseus
Percy didn't even seem embarrassed in the slightest at being called out for talking about her a lot and simply answered her question: "He found me while swimming about twenty minutes ago. I was telling him stories about some of the things we did."
"And what great stories they are. It seems that you are both accomplished demigods." Poseidon intervened.
"Well, I'd also love to hear about these facts you've accomplished." Athena chimed in with a slight smile on her face, a smile that was reflected by Annabeth.
"Where to start." Annabeth wondered aloud as she sat on the beach, dragging Percy with her
Now many were becoming aware of Annabeth's closeness to the son of the sea, prompting questions as in the case of Calypso, who thought that her future husband had met several women before her or might have several wives, remembering what she saw with Diana, the red-haired woman and the other blonde when they were underwater.
Others, on the other hand, such as the hunters of Artemis, believed that Jackson was like the rest of the men, although part of his opinions were shared by Thalia and Luke, who were concerned about the young Annabeth.
The projection quickly changed to show everyone sitting on beach chairs
"Alright, I have the perfect story." Annabeth announced. "The time Percy became a guinea pig!"
Annabeth felt Percy's gaze on her, but she didn't recognize her, giving the impression that she couldn't see the betrayal written on his face.
"What?!" Young Percy exclaimed when he heard that he was turned into an animal, but he was only heard by those who could see him
But the projection only quickly showed the rest of the day and part of the night where Annabeth along with Perseus recounted their adventures, without the audience being able to hear, but everyone could see the reactions of the two gods who seemed to get along much better, as well as Diana and the woman who looked like her.
They were able to see various reactions of the 6 individuals on the beach, which ranged from smiles and laughter, to reactions of annoyance, exasperation, sadness, surprise.
Again for many it was strange to see Athena smiling and laughing, especially that she seemed to get along well with Poseidon, who had changed his appearance.
"I don't think I'll drink the rest of the day," said Apollo, putting down the drink he was drinking
"You took the words out of my mouth," Hermes added, putting down his own drink as well.
Dionysus, on the other hand, just looked at them, just like he looked at his brothers' drinks.
Then the projection changed to show Hera, Ares, Aphrodite, and Hephaestus arguing in the Olympic council room with Percy Jackson a few feet away from them, on Poseidon's throne, stopping everyone's discussion, whether it was Athena's exclamations in her defense, Aphrodite's comments, or others'
"How long do you intend to keep arguing?"
Jackson said as he stood up from Poseidon's throne, followed by folding a blanket, as well as reading some note that no one knew the note said
"Were you spying on us, Perseus?!" the queen of Olympus imperatively asked to know.
"It's hard to classify it like that when I've been asleep all this time..." Glancing sideways at the wristwatch he was carrying, Poseidon's son replied sleepily.
The queen of Olympus glared angrily at the son of Poseidon, as her nephew did not look at her when she was talking to him, as if he did not mind showing her respect
"That doesn't matter, punk. Get out of here, this is private." Clicking his tongue, Ares commanded wearily.
"They're talking about the deceptions of Zeus, aren't they?" Percy asked, superbly ignoring the god of war.
"You know he'll never stop, don't you?" Hades remarked, barely glancing at his sister out of the corner of his eye and making her growl, especially when she saw that some others were nodding to the words of the king of the underworld.
But the titans of the sea again thought that Hera needed to get away from Olympus for a while.
"No," as if it were an act orchestrated by the Sinos, Aphrodite and Hephaestus speaking in synchrony.
To consequently look at each other with disgust.
"Are you asking Hera to give you a divorce once and for all?" Percy asked again.
"Yes," this time it was the two previous gods plus Ares who answered.
Aphrodite stared at the screen in surprise, she never wanted to marry Hephaestus, but neither in all the time they had been married did she ask for separation after the first century of marriage.
And Hephaestus looked at the projection in the same way
"But she doesn't want to do it because if she has a bad marriage, then everyone must have an equal one?" "For the third time on the subject, the black-haired man tried to find out.
"Yes" Hera added to the popular reply.
Hera's anger was put aside in the face of surprise, she may have felt that several times throughout her life (Too many times), as she was the goddess of marriage and hers was full of infidelity, but she had never admitted it out loud
Oceanus and his wife did not know what to think about the stupidity they had heard, since if she did that with the marriages of mortals, Hera would be greatly affected by the consequences that would occur in her domains.
"... I see" said Perseus, understanding the weight of the situation
Firming himself on his trident and lazily watching the quartet in silence, the blessed demigod began to internally question the lack of logical ideas, which they possessed unlike mortals.
Those deities who paid attention to the words appearing on the screen felt offended, disbelieving and somewhat furious that Perseus Jackson described them as such, while the mortals among the spectators questioned the description given by the demigod in the projection, due to how much they don't know about the gods.
While among the half-breeds the reactions are very varied, the huntresses were thinking that the son of the sea had too high an opinion of the demigods and mortals over the gods, the Romans that he was being too disrespectful towards the gods, and the reactions of the Greeks ranged from respect towards the green-eyed black-haired man, amusement, that they agreed with his opinion, curiosity about how well Jackson knows the gods and more.
"May I suggest an idea that could benefit you equally?"
"Good luck with that" Artemis couldn't help but say in a whisper, but then she realized that her father still didn't react because of what happened to the future version of Athena and Poseidon's son
No one knew what happened, as the image changed to show Zeus too focused on pampering- I mean... polishing his master ray, not noticing that the four gods were approaching him
Then the image changed to show meetings of the Olympic council or various places on Olympus where Hera began to wear more revealing dresses in front of everyone and made small suggestive mannerisms every time her husband looked at her nervously, worsening with each moment that the projection showed reaching the point where she managed to tremble and sweat profoundly.
"Is it me or does Father look like a caged animal?" said Apollo, now feeling some fear towards his cousin.
"No" answered many deities present in the room, with the men feeling the same sense of fear as Apollo towards Sally Jackson's son, and that included Poseidon himself.
"But what did you do?" the king of Atlantis mentally questioned, at the same time as he turned his head a little to see his young man who was very confused with what he saw of his future version
The projection continued to show the punishment of Zeus, seeming to be days, weeks or months for the idea that the son of the sea came up with, before showing the streets of New York during the beginning of a night when a howl of relief thundered throughout the city that night, that confused mortals throughout the city. And then show that the day was dawning and hear anguished sob
"Was that Zeus?" Chiron and several others couldn't help but ask, while several male deities felt their fear of Poseidon's son growing
"He made it" Hephaestus couldn't help but say, just as he couldn't help but think that this cousin of his wasn't so bad
Aphrodite on the other hand didn't know what to say or think, though a part of her also feared that whatever Jackson came up with, could also be used against her.
"It's not possible," for her part, Artemis couldn't believe that it was the demigod who managed to make Zeus stay faithful. Or at least that was suggested.
Then the projection changed to show Poseidon entering the Olympic council room
"Good morning, brothers and nephews! How were you all this time that I was away? "Happy as a fish in water," the man dressed like a bay fisherman cried out.
"Poseidon, where is Perseus?! He told me that he was going to take care of my wolves while I was at Camp Half-Blood!" The goddess of the hunt expressed.
"He was going to take me back to the library of Atlantis! We were going to read about the war against Pontus!" Athena made herself heard
"We're supposed to visit Camp Jupiter in three days to visit my kids!" What shall I do now? I'm not sure I can't help but think about Persephone during that time!" in a worse situation, Demeter screamed almost on the verge of tears.
"What?! " exclaimed the vast majority without understanding what was happening with the claims said
"War against Pontus?!" asked the deities of the sea, utterly dismayed and incredulous
Hades, his wife, his daughters, and even Demeter herself looked in utter surprise at the words of the other Demeter
The Romans who noticed these words were also very surprised, especially the children of Ceres, while, in the Greek camp, the children of Demeter felt anger and fury, as they seemed to be forgotten.
Artemis and her huntresses looked at the screen alike, surprised at the attitude of the future goddess of the hunt with a demigod.
And that's how the protests increased in volume, to the point of almost leaving him deaf.
Seeking support in the only person who would blindly place all his trust, the king of Atlantis began to turn his head in the direction of the bonfire, only to come across the sight of embers crackling harmoniously.
"Where is Hestia? " Amphitrite's husband inquired.
"With Percy" replied Hera, who crossed her legs and made her husband a little nervous.
"And where are they?" Reserving comments on how strange he found such a duo, Poseidon asked again.
Many of the other viewers watched the projection in the same or similar situations as the disbelieving gods, while Rhea, along with Hestia, thought that apparently their troubled family needed someone who could keep them in control, or at least a part of their family. And apparently that someone was the son of Poseidon.
Even so, the two of them, like several others, were confused and curious about what Jackson was doing with the future version of Hestia.
