Loud pop music blasts watery tunes straight from Splatsville: Anarchy Rainbow by Deep Cut. Personally, my favourite is Shiver. Her high soprano adds a ringing tone to the inspiring words. Frye has a bit of a waily voice, which is fine, but i'd prefer her to sing a bit quieter, and of course Big Man is the worst, but the alto/ baritone is a bit annoying and I can't hear it most of the time anyway-

A bonk next to me tells me that my sister has just sat down next to me. She looks happy but also kind of annoyed, and I'm not quite sure why. Oh yes! I need to give her back her phone that I borrowed last period. The song switches to off the hook feat. dedf1sh's #47 onwards. I rip off my headpiece and hand her the phone.

"What's wrong, sis? I can tell there's something annoying you-"

" I…I... It's this guy in my maths class. He's so cute, but I think he is super annoying and he's totally a jock. What should I do? You're the one who already has a boyfriend, right?"

Yes, technically I do have one, but we barely have any time to see each other since he goes to university and I'm only in college. Oh, I can just imagine his beautiful dark hair and the way it forever falls into his eyes. I can't wait to see him again.

I snap back to reality, my sister's sharp stare telling me that she needs to know an answer.

"Erm, yes, but… to be honest I don't really know what to do? We're the same age, remember? He's really just a crush. Not really a boyfriend. We just exchanged numbers, so it doesn't really count."

Right?

Splateryna looks down, grumpy, and starts to walk to final period. I watch her rush off, but I can tell she hesitates when she sees a green and black haired boy with earrings in his left ear. Maybe this is the jock guy.

Am I jealous?

Of course not.

Right?

The taller girl that Splateryna sat next to for lunch seemed to dismiss her before Splateryna got up quickly.

Not that I was paying attention.

She started to walk in the same direction as me and as she saw me her face lit up.

"Hi…" she said shyly, but nevertheless she kicked me in the shins, like when Inaccidentally knocked into her in the corridor. A smile grew on my face, winding up my cheeks like tree branches and my eyes like shining stars in the sky. My heart was running a marathon and I started to blurt out the first stupid question that came to mind.

"Was that your sister?"

OF COURSE it was her sister, you dope! They look exactly the same, except that the other girl was much taller. And not as pretty.

" Yeah it was! We're actually twins!" she beamed and adjusted her books so they covered her neck and rested under her chin. This gave me about five seconds to think of what to say next. The next stupid thing that came to mind was even worse somehow.

"Really? I'm a twin too! We look exactly the same, except that he is like me in a mirror! You know, like, the opposite?'' I stared at her for a second while she tried to figure out what the hell I was getting at. Suddenly, she grinned and nodded.

"Yeah, Splayla is much taller than me. Urgh, I'm so jealous of tall people." she gazed up at my face, almost two whole feet above hers. " Maybe not you though." She looked back down and stopped so quickly I had to walk back to her.

" Here's my next class, french. Au revoir!" She smiled slyly and cracked the door open so she only just fitted through. She sent me a wink through the small, foggy window that separated us.

What the hell was that supposed to mean?
