"Amity?" a voice said. Amity and Luz looked to see Viney and Emira in her other arms. "Are you holding a mermaid?"
"Em, what are you doing here?" Amity questioned as Luz hid her face and clung on to Amity.
"I asked you a question first." Em demand. "Why are you holding a mermaid? Please tell me you didn't kidnap her."
"What no, Someone's after her and she needed my help?" Amity explained.
"How'd you get in here?" Viney asked. "Only Multi-track students are allowed in here." Viney then thought for a moment. "It was Luz wasn't it."
"She left the stuped door open." Luz muttered under her breath for Amity to hear.
"You left the door open." Amity answered. "I am grateful for that so thanks you for helping me out."
"I forgot Luz told me that the door in the detention track room was malfunctioning and told me to seal it off." Viney complained, she then made a spell circle and the wall behind Amity gained a pair of chains. "Now what about the Mermaid you're carrying?"
"What about her?" Amity questioned. "She's a bit shy so um do you mind not coming so close. I barely got her to let me carry her here in the first place."
"Oh sorry." Viney said taking a step back with Emira. "It's just I feel like I've seen her before."
Luz stiffed a little knowing that the longer they stayed the more likely Viney would find out about her.
"Um Viney, before you go asking questions maybe we should see what's going on outside." em suggested. "Think I heard banging on a wall just now."
"Give me a moment." Viney said going over to a wall. "Only Luz and I have permission to do this." She then made a spell circle on the wall and snapped her fingers, the next moment they were able to see the Golden Guard slamming a classroom door shut.
"Where in the name of Titin Are you?" Hunter shouted.
"Wow he really is mad at something." Viney said, seeing him kick another door open. "What did you do?"
"I told him the mermaid I have didn't want to go with him to the Emperor's Covon." Amity admitted.
Viney then felt something and turned the image to another place in the school and saw Lilith coming through the front door.
"Finally she's here." Amity said walking a bit closer.
"I thought she didn't want to go to the Emperor." Em questioned.
"She doesn't, but Lilith is the Owl Lady's sister, and this Mermaid is friends with her." Amity explained giving only information needed. "So is there an exit that's close to her."
"Yeah, that one over there." Viney said, as she was canceling the spell. "Also, can you keep this from Luz for the moment I kind of promised her I'd let her know about Emira myself."
"If it helps, I started dating Luz so she shouldn't be too mad at you." Amity said, going to the door Viney pointed out. "And thanks for the help."
"No way Amity, you owe me details." Em shouted.
"When I get home I'll tell you but for now you should probably think about leaving soon before that guy finds a door and breaks in here."
"Okay see you soon." Em said as Amity closed the door.
As Lilith entered the school she saw the lockers moved and knew someone must have finally found the secret room Edalny created when she went to school.
"Oh Amity." Lilith said seeing Amity coming out carrying a Mermaid.
"Hey Lilith, mind giving me a hand really quick." Luz said tuning her head to look at Lilith.
"Now I'm glad I left the scouts at the castile." Lilith said making a fire ball in her hand. "Why are you in this form anyway and at the school no less."
"How about you get me back to the House first." Luz said, hearing shouting in the distance.
"Maybe that would be best." Lilith said canceling the spell then rushing the two out of the school. Once they were back at the Owl House Lilith immediately made a new fire ball. "Now about my earlier question."
"We were at the cliff practicing when we saw a pirate ship," Amity explained as Lilith dried Luz's tail. "So I got Luz out of there but she was in this form at the time, then we ran into the golden Guard who wasn't too happy about me not giving him Luz so we hid in the school."
"Well, looks like Edalyn's old room was of use." Lilith said as Luz gained her legs back.
"Thank you." Luz said as Amity put her down so she could stand on her own. "I had a feeling you know about the secret room."
"I helped her make it." Lilith said as Luz stretched her legs.
"Lilith!" Eda yelled, opening her front door and walked into her living room. "You need to deal with that brat, with the way he's going, Luz is going to be outed in no time."
Lilith sighed then said, "Come on Amity I'll take you home then give my report to Belos."
"Okay." Amity said, then kissed Luz on the cheek and followed Lilith outside. "See you tomorrow Luz."
"See you later." Luz said back. "Oh wait, don't forget this." Luz then handed Amity a scale and a piece of paper. "As agreed."
"Thanks." Amity said. "But I don't."
"You can give me mine at school." Luz interrupted.
"Okay. you won't regret doing this." Amity said, putting the object in her pocket. Lilith then started flying them back to Blight Manor.
"I could never regret anything if you were with me through it." Luz said softly watching Amity rid away with Lilith.
On the shore of the boiling Sea
"Are you sure of what you saw?" Bloodlust questioned tapping his finger on a barrel.
"Yes, the girl was carrying the Mermaid into the school away from the Golden Guard." a man said bowing to Bloodlust.
"So, the Mermaid has an ally among the witches but doesn't like the Guard much." Bloodlust said walking over to the water. "Looks like things just got interesting." Bloodlust then whistled and a crow-like bird with four wings and orange feather along its back landed on his shoulder. "Find everything you can about the girl, I have a feeling we can use her."
"Understood Captain." the man said running off.
"Now for my ship." Bloodlust said seeing a ship off in the sea with a pirate flag. "That one should do nicely." Bloodlust chuckled making a spell circle then the bird grew large enough for him to ride on. "Let go." Bloodlust then flew off towards the ship.
Blight Manor
As Amity made it to her room she saw Emira sitting on her bed waiting for her.
"Start talking." Em said, looking at Amity.
"Fine, but I want to know about your little beast-healer." Amity said, closing the door to her bedroom.
"Fair enough." Em agreed. "But first, how long?"
"Only a few days now." Amity answered with a bit of a blush. "And you?"
"A few months now." Em answered with joy. "So, I'll go first." Amity then took a seat next to Emira as she told her story of how she started dating Viney.
