How do you like the story so far? I will post updates 1-2 times a day as I already have quite some chapters ready to post. Do you like the idea of bringing supposed to be dead characters back?

When they arrived at Gibbs house Ziva got out first then Rivka and Tali and the last one getting out was Tony from the drivers seat.

Ziva opened the always unlocked door and mentioned to the rest to wait in the hallway. She checked the house and when she was back Tony said "You can come in now".

While Ziva stayed downstairs Tony showed them the bedroom they could take and put their bags down there. "You can sleep in here. We will be downstairs if you need anything. Bathroom is the door to the right". He then left the room to go back downstairs to Ziva. He did not find her in the living room so he went to the kitchen.

There she was searching for something. Probably a tea Tony though.

"Ugh where is ist?" She mumbled.

"What are you looking for?" Asked Tony.

"My tea" she said without stopping to look through a cupboard.

"You are not going to find it there" said Tony now standing next to her.

Ziva stopped looking saying "You are not being help..." she now looked at Tony holding the tea in his hand grinning from both ears. "Ful"

"I am not?" he asked raising his eyebrows.

"Where was it?" She asked.

"Gibbs keeps it where he has his spices. Saw it the last time he made stakes for himself and me"

"Why does he keep tea in the spice cupboard?"

"You should be glad that Gibbs actually has something like tea in his house Zeh-vah" he said.

"Why should I? He got it for me. Didn't you wonder that it is my favorite tea?"

"Wait what? You are right on that one."

"You are an investor DiNozzo shouldn't you have noticed?"

"Hey this very special agent here is not on duty right now so forgive me for not noticing. So why does the bossman buy your favorite tea? He never gets my favorite beer brand when I am here"

"Never" she said. "Well I am his favourite so" she said winking with a teasing smile.

They heard someone clearing their throat and looked at the direction where the voice came from. In the door frame stood Rivka David looking at her daughter and agent DiNozzo.

The smile instantly left Zivas face and her posture also changed.

"Can I also have one of those?" she asked pointing towards the tea bag Tony was still holding. "I can't sleep" she said.

Ziva turned around to get a second mug out of the cupboard and also placed a teabag in it. Then she poured the now boiled water in the mugs and then she looked at Tony saying "Going to check outside that everything is alright".

Tony nodded and took the two mugs and walked to Rivka to hand her one of them.

He then put the other one down on the living room table. He then sat down on one of the chairs. Rivka saw that as an invitation and sat down across from Tony.

"Why does she keep ignoring me?" She asked.

Tony got a bit nervous but decided not to talk to much about Ziva so he said "Just give her time".

"You seem to know my daughter well. How come she works for NCIS now?"

"Oh no" said Tony. "Not going to happen. If you want to know anything you have to talk with Ziva. I am not going to say anything"

"I see you are quite loyal" said Rivka. "Did you know I was in mossad too before I had Ziva?" She asked him.

"Still my lips are sealed. You can't scare me with that. I am way more scared about"

"Scared about what Tony?" He heard Ziva from behind slightly jumping.

"Oh hey look it's Ziva. If the ladies would excuse me for a second. I" he pretended to clear his throat. "I need some water I have a sore throat" he then got up and went into the kitchen. Ziva was about to follow him when Rivka called her name.

"Ziva" she said.

"What?" asked Ziva speaking with her mother for the first time in over ten years.

"Sit down please we need to talk" she said.

"Why so you can scream at me again? Or fake yours and Talis death once more?" Ziva said angrily.

"I see your anger issues haven't changed" said Rivka.

"You don't get the right to" Ziva started.

"I am your mother Ziva. I have every right there is"

"You basically stopped being my mother when I was 10 years old so no you do not have the right to talk with me like that"

"I did what I had to do" said Rivka trying to justify her reasons.

"That's bullshit and you know that."

"It is not Ziva! You know your father he would have never let us leave".

"So you thought that it was a great idea to leave your other daughter with Eli? So what? You could live a happy life?" Ziva said loudly. Then Tony who had listened the whole argument entered the room again knowing that Ziva would only get more angry whith every sentence.

He out his glass down next to Zivas mug. With that he had Zivas attention for just a minute. The look he gave her was enough to calm Ziva at least a little bit.

"Eli?" Asked Rivka. "Since when are you talking about your oh so great father like that?" She asked.

"That is none of your business " said Ziva pointing at her mother.

"It would be best if you go back upstairs now so we can continue our protection detail on you and Tali" said Ziva taking her mug and leaving her mother and Tony behind while she walked into the living room.

"Well that went well didn't it?" Said Rivka sarcastically.

Tony did not answer but follow Zivas moves with his eyes. "Anyways agent DiNozzo. I do as my daughter said. Goodnight".

"Goodnight" said Tony.

Rivka went back upstairs and Tony went after Ziva. Ziva was walking up and down the living room for 10 minutes already and Tony was on the couch watching an old western.

"Can you please stop?" He asked her after a wile. "I can't concentrate on my movie".

Ziva then took the remote out of his hand turning the TV off. "Better?" She asked him sarcastically.

"Hey don't let your anger out on me" he said.

"Can you actually believe her? Unbelievable. Who does she think she is?" muttered Ziva totally ignoring Tony. She was still walking up and down.

Tony who had enough of her behaviour got up and stopped her from walking by softly grabbing her arm.

"Calm down David" he said. "Don't tell me h..."

"It's me Zi" he said softly still holding her arm.

Finally she looked into his eyes seeing concern in them. She then calmed down at least a little bit.

"Why does she still get under my skin? After almost twenty years?"

"Because she is still your mother Ziva" he said softly.

"For most part of my life I did not have a mother" she said.

"Well just like I did but still..." he said.

"I know what you are trying to say" she said looking away again.

"You think so? All I am trying to say is that when one door closes another one opens up. Like the Eli door closed and the mother and sister door opens up" he said.

"Which movie is that from?" she asked him.

"No movie. I just made that one up" he said grinning at her.

"Really?" She asked him.

"Well the DiNozzos are also well known for their wisdom" he said.

"That's new to me" she said Ziva looking him up and down teasingly.

"Ouch" he said holding his hand over his heart. Ziva the shook her head and sat down on the couch. Tony followed her sitting down right next to her.

"So that's why you never talked about her?" he asked.

"Just like you don't talk about your mother Tony" said Ziva looking at her hands in her lap.

"I just told you about my mother a few weeks ago Ziva."

"Yes. Yes you did" said Ziva with a sad smile on her face. She was still looking at her hands. "But that was a happy memory Tony"

"So you don't have a happy memory with her?" He asked nudging her shoulder softly.

"From around the time when Tali was born. Just one memory. Eli was gone for a few weeks on a mission. I think it was when he met Vance. We cooked my favorite meal together. My Aunt Nettie was coming over to visit us. That was one of the last times I felt like a kid" she said.

"That one meal you are cooking for us like once a month? I love that." He said knowing she did not want to go further into details.

"Yes" said Ziva smiling at him. Typical DiNozzo always thinking about food.

"Now it's your turn Tony" she said.

"For what?"

"Tell me more about your mother".

"Once a year we visited my relatives in England. She always took me and das on another trip. For like two days we went to a city to go sightseeing."

"That's why you went sightseeing in Paris?" She asked.

"Yeah" said Tony while he ran his hand through his hear. "I just realized that I did it because of that habbit"

"What was after that memory with your mother? Did Eli start your training then?" He asked hoping that she would maybe tell him more.

She shook her head "No. Parts of it started earlier but my mother concentrated on Tali from then on. She was quite sick for a while so she was more focused on her. Eli could do what he wanted from then on. But Ari..." she suddenly stopped when she said his name. Ziva was still very quite when it was about her brother. She did not want to talk about him because of everything that had happened.

"What about him?" Asked Tony. "It's ok if you talk about him. Besides what he turned into he was still your brother. I can tell those two apart"

Ziva smiled sadly at him. "He was a good brother. Tried to shield me from Eli and always treated me with ice cream or sweets. When Eli was gone on a mission he would go to the beach with me or to the countryside. He was the one who took me to the movies for the first time. Helped me when my heart got broken for the first time and helped me to hit the boys group that bullied me at school. He was quite protective and always there for me. Still after all those years I can't believe what he turned into."

"Sounds like he really was a good brother" said Tony.

"I sometimes wonder where we would be when Rivka would have been there for us" she said.

"I guess we will never know" said Tony. "But you can get a fresh start with her. Make new memories" he said.

"I still don't know if I want to" said Ziva.

"Either way I will be there for you" he sad swinging his arm around her to give her a little hug from the side.

"Thank you Tony" she said being totally comfortable with him being so close. She then rested her head on his shoulder and both enjoyed the science for a while.
