Carter and Jackson turned to look at him so fast that the others feared they may have hurt themselves.
" Thirty million-year-old ship?" they asked in unison.
"Yeah like we said we are from outside this reality, we are repairing a ship built by the same people that built the gate network, but I don't know if there is a version of the ship in this reality, but that's for later right now you need to get the current situation under control and spread out into the area and get something like martial law going then get a community going or things are going to get worse."
General Hammond spoke up, "He's right we need to get organized."
"Alright let's get this started first Dr.Frasier we need an empty closet in here or very close to here," Hermione said while pulling a tent from her backpack.
Janet looked at her confused but walked to a door opened it and began to remove extra gloves and other disposable medical supplies, Teal'c and Jack helped by gathering the stuff and putting it on a few gurneys and trolleys.
Once everything was removed the closet was seen to be large enough to walk into, smiling Hermione stepped inside the closet set the tent up left the closet, and called out "Erect," the tent set itself up causing everyone to jump and Jack and Teal'c to reach for their weapons.
"Sorry I forgot you guys have been fighting for a while and are not used to these things," Hermione said as they relaxed.
Opening the tent she gestured the group to follow, once they were inside the SGC personnel gaped at the size of the room, "Wow I could use one of these when I go camping," Jack said whistling.
"Yeah I got personal tents she's got the ones for large spaces like this," Marcus said as he came through the tent flap last.
"Medical Alpha," Hermione said while stepping to be next to Hammond and Janet.
Janet's jaw dropped as the room filled with futuristic medical tools and supplies, "Computer activate EMH two," Hermione said.
In the air next to the medical bed a woman formed, she looked similar to Dr. Crusher from StarTrek the next generation. " Please state the medical emergency."
"No emergency, issuing new commanding officers, this gentleman is General George Hammond and is the commander of the facility we are currently in and this lady is Dr. Janet Frasier, chief medical officer, they'll be taking command of this mobile medical unit," Hermione said indicating the two.
"Understood, please establish command codes and conditions for my activation during emergencies and none are able or realize the functions of the mobile unit," the holographic woman said looking at the two.
Hammond said Janet looked at the woman then to Hermione, "We've run into A.I before and it wasn't pretty."
"She is a virtual assistant not able to leave the tent beyond fifteen feet she will be able to contact anyone under your command that has a bracer but unless you two designate the chain of command she will activate in emergencies and you two will be her first concern to get command functioning properly," Hermione told them then left them to set control conditions.
Marcus was speaking with the others, " She came up with these to ensure that we have a safe place to get out of the elements if we ever get stranded without a way home for some reason. "
"How are the inside dimensions so much larger than the outside?" Carter asked while looking at one of the walls.
"Ever read the book Harry Potter?"
At her nod, Marcus continued, "We can use energy manipulation like the wizards do, and we've found in our reality that the wizarding people are descendants of the people who built the gate network."
Carter looked at Jack, but Marcus shook his head, "No in your reality the physics works differently although he is as well the reality you are from didn't have a wizarding world, if you did Hermione and I would have felt it in him."
" Oh okay, so you said something about blowing up the mountain and possibly most of the state?"
" Yeah this thing has built-in energy abortions and storage, if you try to take it apart you could release the energy and it comes close to what a nuclear power plant supplies in a year," Marcus told her while swatting her hand away from a panel that held the power relay system.
"Carter please do not go playing with this thing," Jack said in a commanding voice.
"Yes Sir," Carter said while standing in attention.
"General I'm going to take O'Neill and Carter to set up a lab and armory, the virtual assistant will contact you through your bracer for command codes with these two as your second in command, O'Neill gets the armory and Carter gets the lab," Marcus told the group.
"Alright son, thank you two for the help you're giving us," Hammond said before turning back to Janet and the holographic woman.
"We already have a lab and armory, " Jack said as they left the tent and medical room.
"Yeah but does your armory build weapons for you and maintain them as well? or does the lab have a holographic system that will let Carter play with stuff that in normal circumstances would kill her but instead of her dying she just gets a warning and then she's in an empty room?"
"Carter stop drooling," Jack said with amusement in his voice.
"Sorry, but no sir I've been slowed down in research by not being able to study some of the things we've found," Carter snarked back equally amused.
They found two empty closets not far from the medical room and set up the two tents, "Okay the armory can make your standard gear, but it can also make weapons from StarTrek like phasers, both handheld and rifle, they will be lighter than you are used to, activate virtual assistant."
A man who looked like Riker appeared behind the counter, "Orders?"
Marcus pointed to O'Neill, "This is Col.Jack O'Neill, and is the second in command of this facility, General George Hammond is in command but speaking with the virtual assistant in medical you may contact him via bracer to receive command codes and orders for now have the armory build weapons and charge the phasers, Jack you can go ahead and set up your codes."
In the new lab, Hermione activated the assistant who looked like LaForge and introduced Carter, and left her to set her command codes to find an irate man yelling at Jack about setting up new equipment without letting him take it apart before setting it up.
"McKay if you don't want a bullet in the leg you are going to shut up and listen," Jack said in a voice that made the man go silent immediately.
" You are not cleared or allowed to take anything apart, if I hear of you anywhere near these devices other than passing by I'll have you in the brig," Hammond barked from behind McKay.
"But I'm a genius and if I can reverse engineer these I can help make more," McKay protested like a spoiled child.
"No, you are not a genius you are a man who was allowed to believe you are because the NID needs a plant in this facility and you were the closest in intelligence to Carter they could find," Marcus said while waving his hand toward the doors from behind his back creating a ward to block McKay from entering.
"NID!!" Jack and Hammond shouted while Teal'c raised his staff to point it at McKay.
"NID? What is the NID senator Kenzie got me the placement," McKay protested.
"Yeah you got the job from the main NID guy, and you are under house arrest until further notice, " Jack said signaling two airmen to take McKay to his room.
"Strip his room of everything in there other than the bed and clothes no technology," Hammond ordered as they led him away.
Marcus looked around the group, "These things are movable but only by either under the command of Jack or you General for the armory Carter with the lab, and Janet for the medbay anything in them is shrunken when the tents collapse and foldup but no living thing can be in then."
"Oh yeah the armory can fabric bracers as well but the data storage is only about a million terabytes," Hermione suddenly stated shocking the group.
"Can I get one to take apart, the lab is nice but I like handling actual components will be nice?" Carter asked.
"Yeah the power source is removable and that's the only part you can't take apart it's like a lithium battery exposes some of the chemical parts and boom," Hermione told her
"The main point for the lab is for the things that go boom or can go boom plus to test a theory and save resources," Marcus informed them.
Carter smiled happily, " Okay so I can try out some of the things I was told were possibly too dangerous yay," she said like she just got the best Christmas present in her life.
"Yep plus you can test out new atomic combinations and not need a particle accelerator to do it," Hermione said with a grin.
"Please stop tempting my people with new toys while we have a situation we need to clear up, " Hammond said while rubbing the bridge of his nose.
"Sorry," Marcus and Hermione said in unison.
"Alright, these two cleared out our problem up top we need to go over each case to evaluate who is who and what to do with the violent one and the others, " Hammond said acknowledging motions from SG1.
After setting up the commands in the armory and labs they returned to the conference room to set up the investigation of people.
A beeping caused the group to jump until they noticed it was coming from Marcus' bracer, tapping it to open communications, "Yes?"
'The DhDs are ready to be received,' the computer from the house informed him.
Marcus looked to Hammond who waved him to get them, he went to a wall and tapped it open a door to the island he stepped through and picked the three devices up.
Returning to the conference room he passed them to Hammond, " They are powered the same way as the tents but have a removable battery, this turns them on," he said showing the group how to work the handheld DhDs can be turned on.
"These will automatically connect to the Stargate, they also provide a caller ID to let you know who is trying to come through, Oh and they have safety protocols to keep the gate from opening to a world with a black hole or it'll bend the wormhole around a star to keep from causing trouble, last but not least it'll stop a dial-out if solar activity can interfere with travel, and Carter if you are a good girl the general may give you the extra to play with after you give him the battery so your tinkering doesn't connect it to the gate," Marcus said.
Carter looked at the DhDs like they were the newest toy and she wanted to play with it.
"Walter!!" Hammond called out.
"Yes, General?" Walter Harriman asked coming up the stairs from the control room.
The General turned on one of the DhDs and pushed it to the Sargent," We've been given a safe method to dial the gate, this goes beside your station."
"Yes Sir," Walter said taking the DhD, "The computers are still down and somehow we've lost our connection to the world outside the facility, our diagnostics indicate we've been physically cut off not from the cutoffs from the connections."
" The bracers can help with communication but I don't know if many outside have ways of communicating," Marcus said passing a bracer from his bag to Walter.
"Don't we have a spare generator in storage?"Hermione asked.
"Shield generator not power I think but it should be convertible," Marcus said thoughtfully, " Oh, and the probes I built."
"Probes?"
"Yeah, I built a probe about the size of a drink can that can do more than the M.A.L.Ps," tapping his bracer for a few seconds he nodded then his one last thing Carter's bracer beeped.
Carter looked at what was sent to her and got lost in reading its description, "This is genius the only thing I couldn't build is the antigrav mobility functions."
"Give the schematics to the armory and it'll be able to make them using available materials that it can't fabricate."
"Umm I can make a generator to connect to your electrical system, I'll just need some stuff to work with it'll only take a few minutes, and yes Samantha you can watch and scan as I work."
Carter looked from Hermione to Hammond who nodded and waved them to go," Thank you, sir," Carter nearly jumped out of her seat and nearly dragged Hermione with her.
Marcus was about to sit down when his bracer began beeping again, "Yes?"
"Hey, man we have an Independence Day situation here at Area 51 I'm with a group of soldiers who are fighting the aliens here the Pres wants to know if they can get some of those tents and bracers ."
Marcus looked confused for a second before remembering the movie, "You got Will Smith and Jeff Goldblum with you?"
"Yeah along with the President and some guy that looks like an old and fat Data."
"Alright turn on your video call function, I'm with SG1 we've got most everything under control here it is mostly cleaned up, he may not be the same President these guys have but he's still got the power to help."
"This has video calling?"
"Yeah remember that I based theses on the Omni tool. "
"Oh right I never got into that game, ah here it is," a second later a screen popped up from Marcus' bracer showing the group of people Marcus and Hermione helped change to Asgardian, behind them were men that looked like Will Smith and Jeff Goldblum.
"Evening guy, how's the fight going?"
The Will Smith-looking guy stepped forward, "The ship's stopped working but we got hostiles on the ground but their armor is still slowing us down."
"Okay go for the tentacles coming off their backs they are weaker than the rest of the armor and connect to the alien's nerves somehow I'm not sure why though."
The fat Data guy stepped into view, "They are extensions of their brains I've been thinking that it's a part of their communications systems."
"It is a possibility, I have encountered people who have similar expectations from the base of their skulls, in my time as the first Prime of Apophis," Teal'c said drawing everyone's attention.
Marcus nodded, " I've seen people like that as well but that was in another reality, they can't survive off of their home world different atmosphere but that's beside the point here I just need a view of the room you are in, clear out that corner to your right."
"Portkey or apparating?"
"Apparating I'm giving out the economy version of the tents they need two command people the ones I gave out to individuals are not as powerful as the economy ones, I'm passing the call to General Hammond," says Marcus making a swiping motion on his screen toward Hammond., then he called Hermione.
"I'm done with the power system Carter's having a fit about the impossibility of my making something on the nanoscopic level that'll power this place, what's up?"
"Got an alien encounter in Nevada and they need tents I'm going to pop over and set them up and wanted to let you know, did you tell her that you spread a thin layer over a large area to draw in the power and it not just in one spot?"
"Oops, I forgot to tell her that, and now she's back to looking like a mad scientist, the power should be changing back to main instead of emergency right about now," as she said that the lighting flickered and grew brighter.
"Well I am about to go over there you can stay here or go with me but I need to get going, " Marcus said as Walter came in to say something but Hammond held up a finger as he was talking to someone.
" We aren't far from you I'll go Carter's starting to scare me, " Hermione said with a hint of amusement in her voice.
"Hey I'm not that bad," Carter's voice said from nearby.
"Alright get up here soon they may need the medical stuff soon, I remember that there might have been a lot of hurt people there."
"Almost there one more minute, " Hermione said while it sounded like she started jogging.
"General we're going to go help out over there we'll call if we are coming back here but we'll probably go find others to help, we will call you if we are coming back this way," he said while indicating his bracer after closing the connection to Hermione.
Hammond looked up from the call and nodded, " Stay safe and you two are welcome to return."
Marcus nodded and then turned to Jack, "Have the armory build some personal tents, they come with a space just about as big as a small apartment with furniture and can only make food and clothes with the replicator give them to your people who are here but lived off base, they take twenty-four hours to charge fully, its up to you and Hammond if y'all give them out to civilians."
Jack nodded and waved him on, " Alright kiddo have fun its gonna take us a while to get this place squared away."
Teal'c and Daniel nodded but kept silent, Hermione and Carter came in with Carter puffing slightly but looking at her bracer frowning but she did wave at Marcus and Hermione when they stepped into a corner and just disappeared, seconds later gasps were coming from Hammond's bracer.
"Good kids even better as they gave us tech to help out around here," Jack said then stood," Alright kids let the General finish his call Walter, Carter play with your toys later we need to go help with clearing out the people and get them situated."
Carter pouted but listened then followed Jack Daniel and Teal'c, " I hope they come back I want to get more scans of her using their gifts."
"Indeed, they've been a great help," Teal'c said with a nod.
" I hope they let me ask about that ship the gate builders built," Daniel mumbled.
After SG1 left Walter sat to wait until the General finished his call, once he was done Walter spoke up.
" Sir once the power returned the diagnostic process began to run, our background radiation detection system indicated that none of the lingering energy signatures from Apophis' attacks were being found, and whatever was done to the power systems indicated we had doubled what we were receiving before all of this started, " Walter reported.
"They did say we were pulled or copied from our home universe with no way to get home, we'll have to try and open the gate and find out if we have people off-world or allies as well, " Hammond said after some thought.
"Also if the readings from the computer are right the DhD is powering itself and is putting out enough to dial Othala,"
"We'll have to test it out later for now we must focus on this galaxy and if we have people out there."
" Yes Sir I will get the gate addresses for our last few dial-outs I think we only have two teams out SG3 and SG8."
Marcus and Hermione appeared in the corner to the gasps of people and the sound of someone cooking a gun.
"Stand down," a man dressed in a flight suit ordered, " Captain Hiller take them to a safe place to get out the gear we need and see if anything else is needed."
"Yes sir," the Will Smith-looking man said putting away a 9mm pistol, looking at the other group of Asgardians who were nodding he turned and waved them to follow him.
The Jeff Goldblum-looking man followed as well as the fat Data "Umm in David Levinson, I'm not sure what is going on but I found a signal when the ships first appeared just after we came here to the base that ship out there just fell to the ground and then the aliens attacked."
"Someone was playing with powers that they didn't understand and it got out of their control, we," Marcus indicated himself and Hermione, "are from outside reality and knew this was going to happen and we were unable to stop it so we came to give aid to who we can."
"Uhh if you knew it was going to happen before it did couldn't you have tried?"
"No it was a nexus event in the multiverse, it happens at least once a year throughout the multiverse and someone tried to tap into the energy wave and it drew in fragments of reality from almost every and it is possible that it went beyond Earth."
"Energy wave?" the fat Data asked then looked sheepish, "I'm Dr. Okun, I have been working here on the bodies they found in Roswell."
"Yeah we are vaguely aware of that event but in most of the multiverse its a hoax, for you guys not so much Earth was just outside the range of their power relay system to keep the ship flying and they crashed," Marcus said while looking at his bracer.
"Your device looks different from the other groups, also what are you doing?" Okun asked
" I made them and marked them so we wouldn't mix them up, right now I'm scanning the area, this base is a popular conspiracy area and in a few other realities where something similar happened the base is overrun by aliens, cyborgs, and other things but I'm not finding anything other than the ones outside the base."
"Back to an energy wave someone messed with," Hiller said while turning a corner.
"Ah it's the Big Bang left alone it goes about making a universe but from time to time someone finds it and tries to use it for some reason but the guy that caused all of this used it as a source of power to pull a prank and it caused all of these people and creatures from across the multiverse to end in a single planet or possible universe all mixed when it should have been an empty place like most of the time," Marcus said.
"And the guy that caused this?" Hiller asked.
"Gone, you ever seen an animal climbing on power lines get electrocuted?" at the other's nod he continued, " Well the guy was the animal and the wave is the power lines just on a whole other level."
"Any way to fix it?" Hiller asked as he opened a door to a small conference room.
"No, I'm afraid not once it started it finishes and grows until heat death in a few hundred trillion years give or take a few trillion either way."
"OK, and you guys go about giving aid to the world's or at least Earth's?" Levinson asked.
"No this is our first time doing this but there are companies that work in multiversal travel and send teams to things like this to give help where we can Hermione and I will be moving on in a couple of months and continue working on our first mission that has a two month downtime."
"Umm, should you be telling us this?" Okun asked.
Marcus shrugged and looked at Hermione and the other group, " You guys didn't tell them?"
The guy shook his head, " No you two took off before we did we stayed in California to see how ground zero was affected but aside from the creatures and people that had powers going a little crazy it calmed down after a Jedi knight showed up and pulled a large scale mind trick, it got the fighting to stop long enough to find the mindless creatures and clearing them out."
"You guys were at ground zero of all of this?" Hiller asked as he gestured for them to sit.
"Yeah think of it like a storm the eye is always the calmest so it was the easiest insertion point," Marcus said as he pulled out Hermione a seat.
" That makes sense in a way, but why come here wouldn't it put you guys in danger?" Levinson asked as he helped the former T850 to sit while the other guy helped the other girl then the men sat.
"So this guy said you got tech that you will trade that can help us survive," Hiller said while waving to the other three travelers.
"Yeah we do, by the way, we were in a rush and forgot to introduce myself last time we met, I am Marcus and this is my girlfriend Hermione Granger, and you guys are"
"I'm Samuel, this is my wife Elexa and our girlfriend Tina," the man introduced himself the the first girl then the former T850.
"Our girlfriend?" Levinson asked.
" I'm Bisexual," Elexa said with a slight blush.
"Same here," Tina said while blushing tomato red and then hiding her face.
"It'll take time to learn to control your emotions, don't forget that you have two people to help you," Marcus said in Asgardian.
"I've only been alive and feeling for a day but it is nice to be with them and feeling," Tina replied in Asgardian as well.
" Uhh did we miss something?" Levinson asked as Samuel and Elexa each lay a hand on Tina's shoulder.
"Nah it's just that Tina was emotionally blocked until we got here and these two showed us how to help her," Samuel answered.
"I'm having trouble keeping them under control," Tina said while blushing again.
Marcus nodded, " We come from neighboring realities and we met her counterpart and noticed that this one was still under the block and told them how to remove it," he said adding to the cover Samuel had just thrown out.
"Okay going too mushy, so what do guys have and what do you want in return?" Hiller asked to get back on topic.
Marcus gave the rundown on the tents and bracers. "We'll just want scans of the technology from that ship out there."
" You got some of these tents why didn't you offer them to us?" Hiller ask Samuel.
"Not my tech to give out plus we only got the personal model and they have larger models that are way big," Samuel said while gesturing to Marcus.
"How big we talking about here cause we don't have much free space?" Okun asked
Hermione answered, "We," she waved at the two groups, "are Asgardians, if youve read and comics from Marvel specifically the one on Thor you'll get an idea of what we are but Marcus and I also have access to StarTrek technology so we mixed magic and the tech so the tents are about the size of a normal tents on the outside but inside they go from just bigger than a studio apartment to as large as about a football field on the inside."
The three normal people just looked like they were trying to not pass out with the answer.
"And the bracers?" Okun asked a tremble in his voice.
"Wrist mounted Tri-quarter with a micro replicator for tool."
"And all you want in trade for a few of these are scans of a downed ship and the technology from it?" a voice from the door asked causing the normal humans to jump.
"Mister president." Hiller said while jumping to his feet followed by the other two normals but not the travelers which one of the people at the door with the President.
" Don't you people know who this is, it's the president of the United States, Thomas Whitmore," the wirey and weak-looking man nearly shrieked, but his eyes showed a calculating gleam that Marcus caught.
"One of possibly many out there as of yesterday, and not any of them have any power over us, this is now an apocalyptic world the laws of the USA don't apply anymore," Marcus said while putting a hand on Hermione's shoulder as she looked ready to jump the man.
"Why you little punks have so...," The man was stopped from his rant by Marcus lifting the steel table and ripping it in half and dropping it to the ground and then stalking towards the man.
"We are done, I and my girlfriend and our new friends risked our lives coming here to help the humans of this little dustball and you want me to bend to your will, I think not, come Hermione we are leaving."
The wirey man stumbled away from Marcus and fell on his ass but he ignored the man as did Hermione as they walked off.
They had made it to the door of the building when a group of armed soldiers caught up to them weapons drawn.
"Halt, drop your weapons and surrender," a man with four stars on his collar called out.
" No." They said in unison and kept walking.
"Put them down," The general ordered.
The soldiers opened fire, when the bullets hit the two all they did was fall to the floor as twisted lumps of metal, and the two just kept walking.
Back with the other group, " You just cost us a valuable resource that would have cost us practically nothing, Hiller take him into custody for verbally attacking foreign diplomats who were offering aid in a crisis," he said just as shots could be heard.
"Diplomats how can they be diplomats? " the wiry man demanded to know.
"Their clothes you fool that is armor and I've read the comics they mentioned, that armor is only given out to nobles and royalty, " the president shouted over his shoulder as he ran to stop this growing mess.
Whitmore was just in time to see the two walk out the door and it closing behind them with a trail of mangled bullets.
"Cease fire Ceasefire," he yelled as he ran up to the group of soldiers.
"Mister president you need to leave the area we have hostiles in the area," the general said stepping to the man's side.
"No the hell we don't, they were walking out peacefully and they didn't even have to do that, it was a test and you failed it for us general, " Whitmore said looking the man in the eyes before reaching up and ripping both sets of stars from the man's collar, " You are under arrest for ordering the attack on foreign diplomats, all of you disarm,"
"Test what test all I saw were people leaving with valuable information and items that can help our people?" the general asked.
" I was there when they arrived, they didn't walk in they just appeared in the corner of the meeting room when they were asked for aid from the other three, my aid insulted them and they walked out of the room, and this building, they were giving us time to apologize and you just ruined it by drawing guns and ordering them to be fired upon add on to that they are possible nobility or royalty in their culture, what would a foreign country do to us for the actions you and my aid just pulled?"
The general went pale and fell to the floor," We needed those supplies."
"Not at the cost of starting a war with a warrior culture that even without bulletproof armor can take a hit from a tank main gun," Whitmore yelled at the downed general, "Take him into custody to await trial," he said to two airmen who had followed him.
Walking slowly back to the conference room he looked to Samuel and asked, as he slumped into a chair, "They won't be back will they?"
"No, and you were right it was a test and your men failed, I am not willing to give this technology to a group of people that go over the chain of command," Marcus' voice came from the bracer on Samuel's arm.
"But you gave it to General Hammond and his people," Whitmore stated almost pleading.
"Yes, and they come from a reality in which they have been protecting their Earth and several other planets from being enslaved for the last ten or more years while also never trying to just take the technology."
Whitmore sank deeper into his seat," I'm sorry."
"As am I but know this if any of your people harm Samuel and his women I'll come back and only your women and children will survive," the finality in his voice caused everyone to hear it shiver in fear.
"I understand," Whitmore said looking like he could see the gates of hell waiting to open for him
"Samuel stay safe and out of New York it's a waistband, we are heading to the wizarding school to check in on some children contact us in a day or two we may have some new intelligence to share," Marcus said ending the call.
"My people screwed up big time," Whitmore said dropping his head into his hands.
" Yes they did, I could understand if it were a more dire situation but you have this facility and stored weapons and medical supplies, if I had known your people would have been like this I never would have asked his aid," Samuel said while getting up and turning to the door.
Everyone watched as he and the two women left the room and building, "Would he have done what he said if they had tried to hurt us?" Tina asked as they took to the air and flew away with many people watching them go.
"I don't know but it sounded like a real threat to me," Elexa said while taking Tina's hand.
"No I'm not that cruel but it did keep them from trying," Marcus said from above them sheathing his sword after flicking it clean of greenish-blue blood.
The three were startled at his voice and turned to see him and Hermione covered in alien parts and blood.
"What was that about New York?" Samuel asked as he watched Hermione wave a cleaning charm over the two of them.
"That kid who got all excited about Hermione here sent me a message, it looks like the Chitaroui attacked and between them and the powered people they leveled the place, he did send some scans of some of Stark tech but the good stuff is in his California home and we're avoiding the big cities cause that's where a lot of people gather so a lot more monsters and most likely where we would run into something we can't handle."
Marcus was tapping on his bracer as he spoke and sent a data packet that had the scans of the arc reactor and some of the Chitaroui weapons and chariots.
"So back to the SGC for you two or going to Hogwarts?" Elexa asked as she looked over Samuel's shoulder to see what the scans revealed.
"Hogwarts Hermione here wants the look in on her counterpart and I want to make sure there are no dementors."
"I'm thinking about going to where Disney Land should be, it may have a magical setting and most of it friendly, " Samuel said aster sending the data to Elexa.
"Like I said stay safe, we may have only met recently but you are good people by coming here you risked yourselves, if it looks too dangerous get to your island quickly, actually I think you should go ahead and go there and set up a tent there and maybe get some rest."
"Yeah I think you're right we need to plan better we were sure we were ok there but it could have gone really bad fast," Samuel said while looking at his girls.
"Yeah I got that when that weak guy was yelling at us for not getting up for Whitmore, he was planning to try to force us to give up our gear and technology, then that general, he was too fast with his group of soldiers, most likely they were going to pull it on you three," Marcus told the group as they flew on towards California.
"And if they got their hands on your stuff and tried to take it apart you and the girls would be the only survivors in a few hundred-mile area," Hermione said as she looked down and saw a tour bus being attacked by large animals.
"Umm are you guys seeing that," Hermione asked pointing to the bus.
Marcus and the others followed her pointing, "Yeah let's drop in on them."
They all nodded and dropped from the sky right behind the animal's staves in hand, all five worked well in the fight even with this being the first time they fought as a team but the Asgardian battle knowledge helped.
Large wolves ran in circles trying to get behind them but they left no opening they could take advantage of before a staff crushed their bones.
Ten minutes in and fifteen wolves and a few other dog-type animals on the ground dead or dying a large wolf fat off in the distance gave an earth-shaking howl that seemed to be a signal for retreat and the few remaining wolves ran off.
Hermione and the girls were looking over the dead creatures, "Direwolves and common dogs, the wolves are a magical type their pelts will make good armor."
"Are we going to skin them?" Elexa asked as she poked one of the wolves.
"Pack the wolves and leave the dogs I'm not sensing magic," Tina said lifting the head of a dog and then dropping it.
Marcus and Samuel were moving the bodies away from the doors of the bus, the people inside watching the scene were whispering in small groups.
One person could be heard grumbling about the 'freaks and how it was all their fault,' but other than a skinny woman who was with him, everyone ignored him.
At the door Marcus knocked, " Alright folks it's safe you can get going," he called out after Samuel moved the last wolf.
"The motors shot we've been pushing her trying to get away from those things," the man in the driver's seat said through the door after opening it.
Marcus looked at the man for a second then walked around to the front of the bus got down to the ground looked under the bus and saw a large puddle of oil.
"Yeah, that would do it," he said getting to his feet.
Returning to the door he looked to the driver, " Sorry we could fix the engine but the oil is another problem and it could take a day or so to get more," Marcus lied, "There is a military base a few hours to the east they will probably take you all in."
"Hey freak don't you go telling us what to do," the fat man said as he pushed the skinny woman and a fat boy of about five behind him and forced a small skinny girl that was trying to hide with the woman and boy away.
Marcus watched as the girl fell to the floor, she had long black hair with natural red highlights, and she also looked way too skinny, it was the fading scar on her forehead in the shape of a lightning bolt that told him who she was in part at least.
"Vernon Dursley what the hell are you and your worthless family doing in the States?"
"It's none of your business now do some of your freaky stuff and get us going, " Vernon demanded shoving the girl away absently.
"I don't work that way and if you push her again I will show you how the wolves felt," Marcus said quietly as the other passengers moved away from Vernon's group.
The little girl looked at Marcus with bright green eyes that squinted to see him better.
"You want me to stop pushing the freak you take it we never wanted it," The skinny woman shrieked then harshly shoved the little girl at him causing her to fall.
Marcus caught her keeping his eyes on the three, " Her birth name?"
"Harriet Jasmine, " the woman said with a sniff.
Marcus hugged her to his chest and turned away from them, "You will need to learn to live in a world filled with people like us it swapped from normal people being on the top of the power pyramid to the powered," he said as he walked away.
Outside the bus, Marcus found that the others had stored the wolves away and threw the dogs away from the road.
"Hermione," he called out and felt Harriet flinch in his arms.
Hermione came running and nearly stumbled to the ground when she found him holding a child in his arms.
"Okay that is going to need some explaining, " she said nearing the two.
"Vernon and Petunia Dursley are on the bus with their whale of a son and they practically threw this little one at me," Marcus said while gently rubbing Harriet's back.
Hermione looked at the bus and then the little girl in his arms, "Umm yeah multiverse, and anything is possible, what are we going to do with her?"
Marcus shrugged, "Take her home and have the doctor have a look at her, and go from there."
"Yeah that's a plan for now but I meant after we are done here and have to return to Destiny," Hermione said
"Well we can take her to Hogwarts and if they are good people see if Minerva will take her in," he said shifting her a little.
"Going to send off the Freak like Uncle Vernon does?" Harriet asked trying to push away from him.
"No thinking of people that can take you in and treat you like a child, not a burden," Hermione said while stepping over and trying to look at Harriet's face.
"Nobody wants a freak like me, " Harriet whimpered.
Hermione finally saw that the scar was faded but forgot about that for now and pulled Harriet out of his arms and hugged her close before turning away opening a door home and stepping through it.
Marcus turned back to the bus and found the passengers watching him while Vernon and Petunia were trying to not be seen as everyone had heard how Harriet spoke, almost as one the group turned to look at them.
The bus driver turned back to Marcus, "So that base is a few hours that way?" he asked pointing toward the east.
Marcus nodded " Yeah it's got a lot of people and some military support."
"Alright folks we'll make for the base, we'll take everything we can carry," the driver said pulling everyone's attention.
Samuel came over to stand with Marcus and watched as the people gathered up their things and started walking off, Marcus was waving at the crowd especially when he saw kids in it that were waving.
"Protections and cooling charms to get them there?"
"Yeah on all but the adult Dursleys," Marcus said as the last of the group was out of view.
"Dursley? I'm missing something here."
"Multiverse antics, almost anything is possible, I'm guessing they had traveled to the US to get rid of a female version of Harry, Hermione took her to our house for a check-up and possibly get her some new and clean clothes," Marcus told him.
"You guys going to keep her or see if someone here will take her in?"
Marcus shrugged and looked around, " Not sure it'll be up to Hermione."
"Well we're done here and the girls split up the wolves, they kept them on the islands for cleaning," Samuel said as his two joined them.
Marcus nodded, "I'm thinking about going back to Sunnydale for now we need to rest, and although we can just go to the islands we could exit and find a group of people or creatures."
