After seven hours of chasing after Harriet and fixing the changes she made to the Island, the most interesting thing he had to fix was the house.
The house was covered in a rainbow and drawings of animals that moved or danced around the rainbow.
"So are you going to be able to keep up with her?" Xander asked as he picked up a sleeping Harry and passed him to Joyce who cradled the boy.
"Yeah she's slowing down the house took a great deal of magic to change it as it was built to withstand the power of a god," Marcus said while waving his hand filling in a small crater and repairing the grass.
"Harry is down and out after a few hours and he didn't do nearly anything like she did," Cordelia pointed out while Marcus tried and failed to change an apple tree back to normal from the golden it became as Harriet ran past it and stumbled to the ground.
"Yeah, she's already run through the surge, which is good I'm not sure how much longer I could chase after her," Marcus said as went to pick Harriet up and take her to the house and medbay.
"I see they've both run out of energy," the doctor said as they entered the room with the two sleeping children.
"Yeah Harry dropped first while Harriet got a bit more runtime but she was throwing out a lot of powerful stuff the island was built to take the hits from a god so it kinda drained her fast," Marcus told the doctor as he lay Harriet on a bed.
"Yes I did observe a few changes to the house the walls here were covered in marshmallows for a few minutes, I'll have their new status for you in a few minutes," the doctor said while running his Tri-quarter over Harry then he moved to Harriet.
After a few minutes, the doctor spoke to the group, "Harry is powerful and healthy for a nine-year-old Homo magus, he was suffering the same conditions as Harriet, malnutrition and damaged bones, the releasing of the bindings caused a rapid healing in both children, now Harriet is registering as an Asgardian."
"How did that happen?" Marcus asked while trying to remember any times a Harry Potter took on the race of someone else but only knew of one but that was more like his magic copied the powers of someone else rather than changing races.
" I am unsure, it is possible that the chaotic nature of the world, I can also inform you that Harry is now registering as Mrs. Summers's offspring."
Marcus groaned then looked at the doctor, " And let me guess Harriet is now reading as Hermione's child?"
The Doctor looked at the screen of his PADD tapping a few times then looked up and nodded, "Yes it would seem you are correct."
Marcus nodded then tapped his bracer, "Congratulations Hermione you're a mother."
The silence was all received until he heard a thump sounding like someone had fallen, " Umm I think she fainted," Willow's voice came through the bracer speaker.
"Make her comfortable I'll be there in a little bit,"
"I'll stay here," Joyce said sitting on the bed running her fingers through Harry's hair.
Marcus nodded and left the room after running his fingers over Harriet's cheek.
Back with Hermione after Marcus went through the portal, "That girl sure can run, and the power she was throwing out is no joke."
"How was Harry?" Buffy asked while pushing a glass of water.
"He was fine and running off the excess energy, I think her gaining the power of an Asgardian is the reason she's got so much more get up and go," Hermione said pulling a book from the pile Giles dropped on the table.
"Be careful a few weeks before the Halloween event we had to deal with a demon that was sealed in a book get out and into a computer," Giles told her when she started to scan it with her bracer.
"Yeah I'm picking up the energy on this book but I'm going to guess I don't think whatever could have been in it didn't come over."
"Well yes that is possible we knew of a vampire that had a soul but the soul didn't come over the other night."
Buffy slumped deeper in her chair, Willow wrapped an arm over her shoulder, "Angel was a good man," She told the confused look, Hermione.
"Ahh Marcus told me about that, he is aware of a few worlds, I think he knows some of this world, or at least the world before Halloween happened," Hermione said putting the book to the side and picking up another.
"I've been thinking about what he said about the world going crazy, he said you already knew that this would happen before you got here?" Willow asked.
"Yeah from where we come there is a television series of your lives and before you all get up in the that can't be possible, think of it this way every book comic, or something you saw on TV is real out in the infinite somewhere."
Buffy Willow and Giles relaxed after hearing that it was possible, "Any way we knew about the Halloween event, we were just going to join in on the being able to get the abilities of our customers and help the people here if there was too much chaos left after the spell ended."
"So you're saying that there was a chance that this wouldn't have happened?" Giles asked placing down another stack of books.
"Yeah it depends on how close to twilight the event happens if it happens before or after true twilight the event doesn't do all that much, but if it happens right at twilight this happens because the door to Janus' realm is open completely for a few seconds and if someone does a ritual at the right time you get people and creatures from all over the infinity of possibilities," Hermione told the three putting away another book.
"Ethan," Giles said rubbing his brow.
"Yep and he got the ritual timing just about right," Hermione said while opening a book on demons that would have almost passed for humans.
"Ethan? That guy you fought with yesterday who ran off with that traveling group heading to Disney?" Buffy asked him as she idly flipped the pages of a book not seeing what was written on the pages.
"Yes he and I were friends a long time ago but he caused the death of a friend, I returned to the watcher's training while I have no clue as to what he was doing," Giles said adding another three books, " These are all of the books dealing with demons and other monsters, the rest of my books are copies of the watcher's diaries that mostly cover the time they spent training Slayer's."
Hermione looked at the stacks of a couple of dozen books and nodded, "I'd love to get my hands on the councils' library but I would not want to kill them just to get in."
"Oh my yes, that's also considering if the council came along, " Giles said taking a seat.
For several hours they spoke on the possibilities of who and what could have been created, "Marcus once told me that the Halloween event was Marvel, and almost immediately after the fighting stopped the world powers fell with no power to run the things they normally have to live comfortably, the powered people took over," Hermione was saying when her bracer beeped and Marcus' voice came through.
"Congratulations Hermione you're a mother," He said and for Hermione, the world went dark.
Willow ran around the table and crouched to look Hermione over, " Umm I think she fainted."
"Make her comfortable I'll be there in a little bit," Marcus' voice came through the bracer before it beeped off.
Buffy picked Hermione up and laid her on the table, after a few minutes Marcus stepped into the room from the portal.
"Thanks for that, by the way, Buffy you have a brother," he said to the others as he looked over Hermione to make sure she was ok.
Buffy looked torn between being happy about having a brother and panicked over the fact of having to protect him in this new world.
"Cool, I'll need to warn him about the evils of clowns," Xander said while stepping through the portal Cordelia followed him.
Marcus looked from Hermione to Xander, "Yeah that's not a good idea, Harry's been under severe magical bindings and now they have been removed he'll have the power to blow up a city block accidentally if he gets scared after hearing your stories about clowns."
The others looked at Marcus then Xander, "No bad clown stories until Harry is older and trained up," Giles said while cleaning his glasses.
Buffy, Willow, and Cordelia nodded, "Yeah dofus keep the stories to the goofy kind it's what you are good at, but when he is older you can tell him," Cordelia pointed out while looking at Xander with a soft smile, Buffy and Willow's agreement soon followed.
Xander got a goofy look at Cordelia's smile causing Buffy and Willow to groan, "Down boy, " Buffy teased.
"Make with the sexy thinking later," Willow added with a grin hiding the slight twist in her heart, after becoming a Jedi she grew empathetic abilities that she couldn't ignore that were telling her that Xander would only ever see her as his sister.
"No sex in public," Hermione said with a groan as she tried to sit up.
Marcus helped her up then off the table and into a chair, "Alright let's get this started, Harriet is now reading as your daughter, I'm not sure how it happened but the doctor thinks it's residual effects of the chaos magic the same thing happened between Harry and Joyce."
Hermione looked around waiting for someone to call out 'Just kidding.' but that didn't happen.
"But I'm too young to be a mom," she nearly whined.
Marcus shrugged and looked at Hermione with a smile that didn't give off any signs of being upset.
"Yeah, you are, but think of this, that little girl is going to need a mother figure, and now she is Asgardian, with the strength she has now will make it hard for her to stay with the people at Hogwarts."
"But what are we going to do when we are working on Destiny?" Hermione asked.
Marcus shrugged, "Take her with us, you can teach her as we go."
Hermione looked ready to protest until Marcus held up a hand, "Fine but you're responsible for making sure she doesn't blow up the ship."
"Umm, ship?" Willow, Xander, and Buffy asked while Giles and Cordelia were reshelving the books Hermione had already scanned.
Marcus and Hermione looked at each other and then shrugged, it wasn't like they were bound to keep it a secret.
"Like we've told you all we are reality traveling, right now we are taking a break while the ship we've been repairing, is stuck between galaxies for just over two months, so instead of sitting at home and being bored we took up the chance to come here and help out the people."
Everyone other than Hermione looked at Marcus for a few seconds before shaking their heads trying to make sense of the two coming to this hell-like world just to keep from being bored.
"Yeah, that's not a problem for me," Xander said after a few minutes with a grin.
Cordelia nodded then dope-slapped Xande, " Ow, what was that for?"
"I can't dope slap them for coming here," Cordelia pointed out as she went to dope slap Xander again.
Xander dodged this time only for Buffy to catch him with her dope slap, Willow, Marcus, and Hermione laughed while Giles cleaned his glasses.
"Alright let's get this finished here so Hermione can go take care of her new daughter," Marcus said trying to get everyone to focus on something other than them.
"I'm done with the books," Hermione said while looking at her bracer that had scanned the library while she was unconscious, "I'll go to Harriet and see what she wants to do going forward."
Marcus nodded then looked off into the distance, "I'm going to go around the town and see how things are going."
For the rest of the day, Marcus went around the city helping where he could, several times he was able to trade bracers or tents for some technology that the people had received, some of the things were useful like a railgun in the form of a rifle, while another item was in the shape of a six-inch robotic doll if he remembered right was from an anime named 'Hand Maid Mai.'
Hermione had returned to the house and found Harriet still sleeping on the med bed, "Doctor how is she?"
The Doctor came out of his office with a PADD in his hand, "Other than the exhaustion, she is physically healthy, her core has settled down after expelling the excess."
"That's good to hear, what about Harry?"
"He is sleeping as well, Joyce is with him she is slowly working through her now having a magical son, I'm sure that she'll be able to make it work," The doctor said while pointing to a bed hidden by a privacy screen.
"Yeah, it's a big change they'll have to work with, I'll need to get used to it while Joyce is already a mother I'm sure Marcus and I are going to have our work cut out for us."
"I'm afraid I have no advice on rearing children outside medical care, " The doctor said while reading the PADD.
Hermione reached out to slowly run her fingers through Harriet's hair, "We'll learn as we go I guess."
A few hours later Harriet began to stir, as she sat up and looked around she nearly jumped off of the bed only to be stopped by Hermione's hand gently pushing her back down.
"Relax sweetie, the doctor needs to check you over then we need to have a talk," as Hermione spoke the doctor came over and did a few scans and nodded.
"She is physically healthy and her magic is stable, I'll need her to come back in a few days but I don't believe she will have any complications," he told them.
Hermione scooped Harriet off of the bed and hugged her close, "Let's go find you something to eat."
Harriet snuggled into Hermione's chest while nodding shyly as her stomach gave a growl, Hermione turned to leave the room for the dining room.
Marcus was entering the med bay when they left so spoke to the doctor, "Ask Hermione if you can tie a monitoring program to her bracer that will let you get your scans of Harriet."
"I'll make sure to ask about that later," the doctor nodded.
Marcus followed Hermione and found them eating a lite lunch of sandwiches, Harriet scarffed down the food like it was going to dissappear while Hermione watched in bemusement.
"We are done here in Sunnydale, I've gotten a few things that you can tinker with later, I think we should head up to Hogwarts soon."
"Okay I'll stay here on the island with Harriet and start teaching her some about her magic and new strength," Hermione said while ruffling Harriet's hair who looked up her cheeks puffed out like a chipmunk.
"Okay you do that, we'll say our goodbyes to the others," Marcus said then patted Harriet's shoulder.
They sat there while Harriet ate a few more sandwiches, with Joyce and Harry joining after a few minutes Harry soon joined Harriet in demolishing the sandwich population in the house.
Hermione pulled out two bracers and passed one to Joyce and Harry, "The one Harry has holds a teaching program for him to study magic and yours will help you with helping him learn," she told Joyce while Marcus helped Harry put the bracer on and set it up.
"We're going to try and make it to the school for magic Harry and Harriet would have been been sent to when they were eleven years old, I want to see if the wand maker is there, if he is we'll come back for Harry to be able to get a wand to be able to practice spell," Marcus told Joyce.
"Will they try to take Harry?" Joyce asked reaching for Harry and pulling him into her lap.
"No, this world is messed up and the people who are at the school may already have a version of Harry, we may be able to make a way for them or your group to travel back and forth, I'm working on it based on a device we've come across," Hermione said while pulling up a display on her bracer that showed a doorframe with runes that made it look like decorative art.
Marcus looked at the image and nodded then pointed to a section, "Swap these two runes and then then add a few stabilization runes here and there," he told Hermione as he pointed to a few places.
Hermione looked at Marcus and then at where he was pointing before doing as he told her using her finger on the display.
"Yeah, that's going to work, I'll let the simulator go through some tests though, every time I've tried it would display an explosion big enough to flatten a city," Hermione said with a pout when Marcus laughed.
Joyce looked at the display in total confusion, "Pretty door but how can this help us?"
"It's a portable portal if it works like I want it will allow you to step from Sunnydale to where we set up another one," Hermione said with a large smile.
After that Hermione spent a few minutes trying to describe how it would work but Joyce was lost after the first few words, Marcus could only smile and laugh at the look on Joyce's face.
He left after patting Joyce on the shoulder with a shrug, entering the workshop, and went to the replicator.
"Build two bracers one marked with a red wrist strap and the other is fine with the normal, upload the magical data to the red bracer and add a teaching protocol," he ordered while tapping on the screen as the replicator began to create the bracers.
On the display were a few lines for a diagram of what looked to be a car, he looked over the diagram and nodded, the outer casing made the car look similar to the shuttlecraft from StarTrek only smaller, he shifted the edges to be more rounded and the top could be retractable.
"Once the ship is finished transfer this build to the larger replicator and after a day begin building this vehicle," he ordered the computer.
'Confirmed, the ship will be complete in six hours,' the computer answers.
"That'll be fine, once the ship is finished have an android pilot it to the gate," Marcus told the computer before leaving the workshop.
'Confirmed.'
Marcus returned to the dining room after scooping up the bracers, when he entered the room he found the children had begun eating sweets.
"It's almost time to get going," he told Joyce and Harry who had packed several cookies in his mouth.
Joyce smiled and nodded while trying not to laugh at the children's antics pushing a cup of juice to Harry who had tried to swallow the cookies.
"As soon as these two are finished cleaning out the cupboards," Hermione said while pointing to the kids.
Marcus shrugged then patted each child on the head, "Fine but bring Joyce and Harry back to Sunnydale I'm going to go talk to the Scoobies."
Making his way down to the gate he stepped through into the library finding only Giles there resetting his books.
"Joyce and Harry will be back soon, Harry is trying to empty our food storage," Marcus said causing Giles to jump from his words.
"Yes well, it is good to know he is healthy and eating, the others were called to the walls seems that a new group of monsters has shown up," Giles said as he removed his glasses to clean them.
"Huh ok, I'll go check it out."
Walking through the school Marcus saw many people taking refuge in the classrooms and hallways, some people who had tents set them up in closets and out-of-the-way places.
Once outside he took to the air and flew up until he could see the wall surrounding the city, from the other side of the wall he could see smoke billowing up in a few places.
Flying towards the wall he watches the ground and the people who have not taken refuge in the school running toward the center of the city.
It took him a few minutes to reach the wall to find a large number of monsters large and small charging, the few powered people present had formed a line.
Buffy was shooting into the crowd her aim was great, and many monsters had already fallen, Xander was lying on the top of the wall with what looked like a sniper rifle making headshots.
Cordelia was fighting the monsters in some impressive hand-to-hand combat jumping from monster to monster.
Willow and the few Jedi were using either their lightsabers or using the force to throw boulders into the mob.
Samuel and his two girls were fighting with swords and staves surrounded by a group that didn't seem to end.
Marcus landed beside Xander who didn't look away from his scope, "This is a big group, normally they only show up in groups of fifty or so."
"Yeah that's a big mob," Marcus agreed as he looked over the group that seemed to spread out to the horizon.
"Your friends are doing great out there, makes me wish we had them before this happened," Xander announced as he shot over the head of Buffy to take down a monster that was trying to sneak up on her.
Buffy waved a pistol in gratitude before shooting another creature with the other pistol while pulling off some impressive acrobatics to land on another monster that looked like a wired centaur with bloody horse hindquarters and a human torso with a cyclops head.
"Yeah imagine someone who has a thousand or more years of combat experience," Marcus answered while pointing from monsters farther back casting piercing hexes making headshots or a few in the fatal T.
"But they told us that he was that they were new to whatever it is you all do?" Xander asked as he shot down a flying monster that was trying to dive bomb, Willow.
"Yeah that's true but the magic that caused this left everyone who retained their powers with the knowledge of who they were, the company that contracted us to help out insured us with the full knowledge and powers unlike some of you who only keep either the power or knowledge."
"Oh that makes sense, I kept the skills of whoever I was with a few weapons and the Ghost, the neat thing is that I get amo and some gear from the kills I make," Xander said as a shot went between Cordy's legs as she somersaulted onto another while using her wip to choke out another flying monster.
'How often do these mobs happen and do they always come from the same direction?"
"Yeah, they come from the same direction and well it's only been a few days so I can't say how often they will show up," Xander said as he stores the sniper rifle and pulling out a rocket launcher that he set on his shoulder and took aim far away from the defenders, the rocket flew over the monster's and exploded into a cluster of small bombs that levled a large swath.
"Alright I'll get out there to help out," Marcus said just before leaping off of the wall and flew into the mob, drawing his swords he landed on a monster that resembled a land bound dragon, his swords sank into the monster's head dropping it to the ground with a thunderous boom.
Once on the ground he was surrounded by a pack of wolves larger than horses, his slashes and thrust dropped over a dozen when a bullet passed his ear exploding the head of a large cat that came out of the shadow of one of his kills.
Stowing his swords Marcus pulled his staff and went around cracking the heads of many monsters, for nearly an hour he fought occasionally a shot from Xander's sniper rifle would get a monster that tried to sneak up on him.
When the mobs began to thin out a thunderous roar filled the air as a large monster came from the back of the hoard.
Cries of fear and panic filled the silence that followed the roar, Samuel, Elexa and Tina joined Marcus as he landed on the ground and slid off of a monster's head.
"We'll support you, "Samuel said while swapping his staff for his swords Elexa and Tina did the same as they watched as a humongous lizard lumbered its way to the battlegrounds.
"Umm, can we beat something so large?" Samuel asked as he watched the lizard draw in a breath and then expel a gout of orange flames.
"Yeah I think we can," Marcus answered as he threw out his hands and cast a large-scale shield charm angled to force the flames up into the air.
Samuel and his two girls charged at the lizard just as the fire cut off, they sprang and slashed at its eyes and throat, and the roars of pain and anger rattled the earth.
Marcus flew up to land on its head making him seem to be an ant, slashing down his swords cutting shallowly into its scales.
"Damn, you're one tough bastard."
With a grunt, Marcus focused on the cut and tried to open it more to get to the skull, blood gushing from the wound covering him in the near-boiling liquid.
Spitting out a bit of the blood he slashed a few more times until he could see the bone of the skull, stabbing with a sword in each hand repeatedly until there was a gap big enough to insert his staff, putting away his swords he pulled out the staff and jammed it into the hole and channeled a powerful cutting hex through the staff and into the creatures brains receiving a roar that ended in a pained whimper.
"Fall back it's coming down," Marcus yelled out as the lizard began to fall.
"We're good," Samuel called out as he and the other two flew away.
With an earth-shaking crash, the lizard's head fell throwing up a large cloud of dust, Marcus tumbled down its head until he came to a stop at the snout nearly losing his grip on his staff before it disappeared in a shimmering light.
Climbing to his feet he looked around and surveyed the area to find that the hoard was being finished off.
"Damn this thing is bigger than the city," Buffy said as she landed not far away from him her eyes wide.
"Yeah, it's big," he answered her as he finally got a good look at it, "But if any of that meat is edible you all won't need meat for a while or you guys can trade it for other stuff, if nothing else you can use the hides to make armor and the bones for weapons."
Buffy looked around the area at all the monsters piled up, "Where would we put all of this?"
"The tents can make storage bags I think," he said while tapping away at the screen of his bracer.
"Xander get with the people and see about skining these things," Buffy said into her bracer.
"On it," Xander answered before calling out for people to help gut the monsters just as he disconnected the call.
"Hermione did you add the storage bag's to the replicators in the large tents?"
"Yes I did, what's up" Hermione asked over the com.
"Monster hoard was About to rampage the city, they've got a great deal of meat and other materials that are safe to use so these guys are going to have a lot to eat and trade after I gather some of the meat and hide from this dragon," Marcus said cheerfully.
"Dragon!!!" Hermione nearly shrieked into the com.
"Yeah it's a big one to, its just about as big as the city, I can take a few tons of meat and hide and barely touch what's here."
"I'll bring you a few bags," she sighs before ending the call.
"Giles get to the closest large tent and get the avatar to start making storage bags we've got a lot of meat and other materials here that we'll need to gather," Buffy told Giles as she looked over the piles again, " I'm thinking a hundred for now I'm not sure yet for sure."
"You know that I do not understand this technology very well right?" Giles replied after a few seconds.
"It's automated just tell the avatar to do it," Buffy almost snarled.
"Yes, yes,"
Marcus was laughing at the two's interaction, as he watched Xander ordering the people to begin working on rendering the carcasses.
"You may want to have them start with this guy the other bodies will fit in the bag's but this one is too big," he told Buffy as he made his way back to the hole he made to kill the dragon.
Recalling a sword he began cutting down to the snout, it took him several minutes to reach the tip of the snout just before Hermione landed with a bag in one hand with Harriet hanging from her back.
"Xander gets most everyone over here on this big guy to start working on it, the bags can hold the full bodies of the smaller monsters," Buffy calls out.
Hermione watched for a few minutes as Marcus was peeling the hide from the head of the dragon until he had a ten-yard wide and twenty-yard long strip of it rolled up.
"What are you going to do with that?"
"Armor, " Marcus answers as he opens the bag and pushes the hide into it before jumping from the head to the ground to join the others in skinning the dragon and cutting out large slabs of meat that he put into the bag until he felt that he had enough and still it didn't even appear that he had taken anything.
"Alright I'm done here," he said as he rejoined Hermione and Harriet watching the people working.
"How much did you take?" Hermione asked as she watched groups going around packing the smaller monsters into the bags as others were working in a chain packing away the parts of the dragon.
"About fifteen hundred pounds I think," he answers.
Harriet had watched silently as she clung to Hermione's back, every time she tried to get down to help Hermione would begin to teach her something or tell her a story.
"What else do we have to do here?" Hermione asked.
"Nothing, well we need to give Samuel the small building before we leave, can you think of anything?"
"The portal is ready, it only took a few minutes to fabricate."
"Portal?" Buffy asked as she rejoined them.
Hermione explained how the portal will work, "I was teasing them and set one up in the library and another in the cafeteria, it's just like walking from one room to another, I'm thinking we can drop one off with the SGC before we head for Hogwarts."
"Okay, that works for me, how will we know when or if someone is going to come through?"
"Security protocol and dialing panel to talk to someone who wants to come here," Hermione explained.
Marcus was nodding as he listened to the two talk but his eyes followed the trail of the monsters, "We'll need to see what drove those monsters this way."
Hermione and Buffy looked at him confused until they saw where he was looking, "Yeah that was the second group but it was way bigger than the first one and they were a lot bigger than the first one, there were only twenty or so monsters."
Marcus shrugged then looked around to find Samuel and Tina had joined the group working on the large dragon while Elexa held their bag open.
Flying over to the three, "We're going to follow the trail and see what caused these things to come this way, your building is ready and waiting for you."
"Okay we are almost done here, I completely forgot about the building," Samuel answered as he put a large chunk of meat into the bag Tina added a roll of the hide.
"Yeah that's fine we'll leave it in the library for you to pick up before we leave."
"Thanks," the three coursed.
Marcus nodded then floated from the ground and returned to Hermione and Harriet, "Let me go leave the building in the library then you two get back to the island while I go looking for the source of these things."
Hermione nodded as she watched the clean up most of the usable monsters had been taken care of, as small groups went around removing the hide or shells from the rest.
"Okay, let's go I want to start working on making a few portals to leave with trustworthy people we meet," Hermione told him as she floated from the monster head and flew toward the Sunnydale high school.
Buffy watched her fly away then went back to watching the work being done while also keeping an eye out for possible dangers.
"I'd recommend having that Earth bender burying whatever is left over, it'll keep the smell down and fertilize the soil."
"Yeah that's not a bad idea or this place will get really rank in a few days," she nodded
"Well we're going to be leaving so I'll leave you guys with the cleaning," he said with a laugh while she frowned.
Before she could reply he flew toward the school, landing behind Hermione he tickled Harriet who began to squirm and giggle, causing Hermione to stumble.
When she regained her balance she glared at Marcus while readjusting Harriet on her back.
"Behave," she snapped at him when she was ready to continue into the school.
Marcus grinned at her unrepentant as he reached out and tickled Harriet again.
Once in the library he stepped through the portal and found that an android had brought the parts of the building to the gate, waving a hand the parts floated from the ground and through the portal at a wave of his hand as he followed, putting them in an out of the way place in the library he nodded.
"Samuel said he will come pick this up in a little while after they are done with the clean up."
Giles nodded as he looked over the parts, "Wouldn't it have been better to offer these in trade?"
"Nah this is meant to be put in a permanent place while the tents are movable," Hermione said as she went to step through the portal.
"Ah, I hadn't thought of that," Giles replied with a nod.
"We'll be on the lookout for other groups in need of help, we'll use the portable portal to send people here if they need it," Marcus told Giles as Hermione disappeared through the portal of the gate with Harriet.
"That should be fine, we'll be placing this in the gymnasium for safety."
"Yeah that's a good plan, there are a few places where we'll be dropping off a permanent one," Marcus told him before closing the gates portal.
"Will there be any possible help from any groups?"
"Yeah there's a military group that I am going to see before we head for Hogwarts to see if they need help," Marcus said extending a hand.
Giles grasped his forearm and gave a firm shake, "We'll be waiting for them to contact us."
"You can contact me or Hermione with your bracer while we are in the world, so don't wait until you guys are on your last leg before asking for help," Marcus said after letting go of his arm.
Marcus then turned and left the school and flew toward the wall, he watched the people as he flew.
The Earth Bender was being led around the edges of the battlefield, as she walked the ground would swallow the leftover parts of the monsters.
For nearly an hour he flew following the trampled trail the monsters left until he came upon a sunken pit with a glowing white light in the center.
Dropping to the ground he looked at the light before reaching out to touch the light but his hand was forced back with a screen appearing in front of his eye.
'Requirements not met to enter the dungeon, Requirements are as follows, PARTY OF TWO OR MORE, LEVEL RESTRICTION ON PARTY IS SET TO A MINIMUM.'
The sign readout said, tapping his bracer he called up Buffy and her team.
"I've found the source of the hoard, there's a dungeon entrance about an hour from the city, I'm guessing that the hoard was an overflow."
'So we'll have this happen again soon?' Buffy asked while the others were chattering on the other end of the call.
"If this is like the ones I know of from stories it's best to form groups to cull the monsters inside, if I am right people can grow stronger and get item drops from the monster upon defeating them."
'Like what happens when I shoot them?' Xander asked excitement in his voice.
"Yeah that's about it, so do you guys want me to drop a portal to get here to keep another hoard?"
'Yes,' the group yelled out causing him to jump.
"Okay, we'll set one up then," he told them as he opened the gate and put the group on hold as he called up Hermione.
"I need a portal, I've found a dungeon that is the source of the hoard, Buffy and the others want me to drop one off so they can keep the numbers down," he said while watching a small group of monsters pour out of the dungeon entrance.
'It'll take a few minutes to finish,' Hermione answers.
"That's fine," he told her as he started killing the monsters with his swords.
For ten minutes he fought taking down the group, as the last one fell Hermione stepped through the portal with Harriet at her side holding onto her shirt.
"Put it up there on the rim," he told her as he began to skin the monsters with his sword.
It only took a few minutes to get it set up, Marcus returned to the call as he worked, "Portals up, you guys can set up a rotation for groups to cull the monsters inside."
'Thanks, are you guys going in to check it out?' Buffy asked.
"No we don't know what will happen in there and we can't take Harriet in or leave her alone at our place, see if Samuel and his group want to check it out."
' We can look into it, ' Samuel said his voice coming from the connection to Xander.
After a few minutes, Samuel and his two girls stepped through the door-like portal followed by Buffy, Willow, and Xander, who clambered down the slope of the bowl that held the dungeon.
"That looks like a dungeon entrance I've seen in a Korean manhwa about a guy who never ran out of mana," Xander said as he looked at the swirling vortex that marked the dungeon entrance.
"I just thought it was a spatial distortion linked to another plane," Marcus answered while his bracer beeped a few times.
"Well you're not wrong about that but what's inside is a pocket world that births monsters," Xander said while smiling, "It's possible to grow stronger in there and get sweet loot and possibly weapons and skills depending on how it is set up."
Suddenly Hermione let out a gasp as she held onto Harriet who was reaching out to Marcus Hermione seemed to be struggling to hold onto her, feet dragging on the ground when the rocks slipped spending the two hurtling into Marcus and the vortex that shimmered brightly for a second before the three disappeared.
The six others watched this happen with a mix of expressions, "Well that happened, " Xander said after a few seconds of silence.
