Attempts on students

Naruto was currently in Diagon Alley with Neville. The two where walking to a corner shop. One the head was Olivander Wands. "Let's go," said the blond.

An old man at the counters turns around. "Naruto, it's been years,"

"It's good to see you again Mr. Olivander. First my student need a wand," said Naruto.

The man looked at Neville. "The school year has already started. I never seen him in my shop," said the man.

"Introduce yourself Neville," said Naruto.

"Neville Longbottom," said the first year.

The man eyes thew boy a ping of sympathy in his chest. "Frank and Alice's son," said the man. "Let's get you fitted for a wand.'

They try several wand forcing Naruto to repair the shop after each attempts. "I see not to worry. We will find you a wand," said Garrick. "I think I have one. Try this.'

Neville takes the wand and flicks it. A surge of power surrounds him. Naruto eyes Neville a smile on his face. "Looks like we got a winner.'

"12 inches charry with Unicorn hair," said Garrick. "The wand will adapt to the user and will grow stronger with user."

"How much?'

Naruto pays for the wand and he turns Garrick. "I have acquired twenty wands from some dark wizards."

"Another mission?"

"Yeah. Can you make them inert," said Naruto.

"Very well. It will take me some time, but I will take care of it," said Garrick.

The two walk out. "I assume you have questions?" asked Naruto.

"Why did you have twenty wands?" asked Neville.

"First unlike you father and Mother who were fantastic Aurora's I am contracted by ministry to hunt down criminals," said Naruto. "The terms of my condition are Wizards and witch I killed in the line of duty; I can clam their wand, however; I must basically make the wand useless. Following so far."

"Basically you're a hire mercenary for the ministry," said Neville

"Correct."

"Why not join officially?" asked the student.

"I don't agree with the ministry on a lot of things including the corruption," said Naruto before smiles. "Enjoy your new wand, lets head back to the school."

The day before the match before Gryffindor and Slytherin. Naruto just dismissed Draco early from detention. Heading to the headmaster's office, the blond saw the elder man sitting calmly. "Professor Uzumaki," said Albus with a worried face. "You look shaken, everything ok?'

Naruto sighs. "My last mission I saw orders from a person named Tom Riddle.'

Naruto watches Dumbledore closes and sees the flexing of his jaw. "Tom Riddle you say?"

"Yes," said Naruto. "You know the person?"

Dumbledore leans back. "What makes you think I do?"

"I have interrogated Death Eaters," said the blond. "I know what to looks for if information is being withheld. I need to know if it's something I should be worried about."

Dumbledore sighs and looks tired. "I know this Tom Riddle. He was a student at Hogwarts in the forties.'

Naruto raised an eyebrow. "At the time he was admitted. I failed to see what he can become," said Dumbledore. "He was born to Tom Riddle Sr and Merope Gaunt.'

Naruto eyes widen. "Wait you said Gaunt? As in the house of Gaunt?"

"The same," said Dumbledore. "I assume you are making the connection."

"I hope I am wrong, but when it comes with pure blood family. There is one who is considered the oldest. Now from what you told me the former Dark Lord of a Parseltongue which was a skill one of the founder had. Salazar, who descendant are the Gaunts," said Naruto. "I need a yes or no answer. Is Tom Riddle, Lord Voldemort?"

Dumbledore closes his eyes and sighs. "Yes."

"Now how screwed our we?" asked Naruto. "We know he was beaten by pure luck. Now we know someone is using his name or.."

"He might still be alive," said Dumbledore. The gravity of the situation falls on the two.

Naruto was in the stands as the first Quidditch match was about the starts. Naruto was deep in thought. He was sitting with the other Gryffindor. He saw as Gryffindors newest seeker Harry Potter. Naruto watched the game intently. After talking to Dumbledore, the blond was very carefully keeping an eye on another out of the ordinary. He figured the Dark Lord would try to kill Harry Potter or a Muggle born student. The game continued as Slytherin and Gryffindor were dead even in points. His eyes caught sight of the Golden Snitch, and he saw Harry go for it. "Looks like there is nothing happening today." The blond spoke too soon as the broom Harry was flying started to weave and buck. Trying to throw the boy off. Naruto locks eyes with the broom and starts to speak a chant. He quickly notices one of Harry's friend head underneath the stand and a small flame appears on Snape's cloak causing panic. He notices that the broom stops moving erratically. The blond breaths easily as Harry catches the snitch winning the game.

Naruto walks away from the stand and heads to the hallways. After the game Naruto went to his office. An owl; flies in. The crest of the Malfoys was seen on it. "What do they want?"

He takes the letter and reads it. "I see. I can make time. However; their will be conditions," he thought to himself.

Next day Draco was finishing cleaning out the pen of a Puffeskins. It was the end of the three weeks of his detention. Looking on the clock on the wall. He see Draco walk up. "Finished professor.'

"Getting faster," said Naruto. "You're free to go Mr. Malfoy."

The study session with Neville have gotten productive. Still timid. The young Gryffindor was getting better. He was able to master the wingardium leviosa. He was working on the wigglenweld potion. Naruto was getting slightly tired. A knock is heard. "Come in."

The middle-aged female walks in. "Welcome Mrs. Malfoy," said the blond taking her hand and kissing the top of it.

"Well such a gentlemen."

"I assume Mr. Malfoy will not be joining us."

"Him being here will not help in any way shape or form," said the female.

"I assume this is to do with the young Draco?"

"Yes. Anyway, to commute his detention," said the female.

"I assume you know why I put him in detention."

"Yes. I do," she said.

"Very well. I am willing to compromise. I will finish his detention early if he write me a two page essay on what he did wrong and what he learned. Is that fair to you?" asked Naruto.

A small smile is seen on her face. "Very well.'

"I just sent for Draco to meet us. Until then I have some sweet I made while we wait," said Naruto.

"Oh. I don't see why not," said Narcissus. She takes a bit of a lemon biscuit. The flavor explodes in her mouth. "How much to have you make more?"

"I have a goody bag for you to take home," said Naruto.

Malfoy walks in. "Draco, glad you could make it.'

The young students was surprised to see his mother. "Mum what are you doing here?"

"We have come to an agreement," said Naruto. You will have one more day of detention. However, we will be doing something different. Tomorrow you will write a two page essay on what you did wrong and what you learned. After that I believe your detention will end."

Draco leaves and Naruto turns to Narcissus. "Before you leave a warning. I consider all students at Hogwarts as children. As long as they are here I will protect them with my life from all threats."

Narcissus sweat dropped at the subtle threat. Attack anyone and the attacker will fail. Permanently "Good. I'm glad my son is protected."

"Have a nice day and don't forget your doggy bag," said Naruto. She quickly leaves as Naruto sat in the room.

Next day. Naruto was in the great hall with the other professor. In front of him was a parchment. On the parchment where item listed with the word cure for Lycanthrope. Snape peer over. "Still working on it?"

"Yeah not going well unfortunately," said the blond.

"Out of curiosity, why bother?" asked Snape.

"Simple. A lot of Werewolf's didn't choose this. Which is not fair because of the bias against them."

Has anyone seen Quarrel?" asked Snape.

The door to the great hall slams open and the Defense professor runs in. "Troll in the dungeon! Troll is the dungeon. I thought you should know." He falls down and faints.

The Great Hall erupts in panic as Dumbledore gets up. "Silence!" he shouted. "Perfect take the student back to the common room."

Naruto notices two Gryffindors sneaking out his eyes narrow. He gets up and follows them."

He hears shouting and crashing coming from the girls Bathroom. He sees a troll about to slam his club on the students. The clubs come down but is stopped. Above the student stood Naruto his hand stopping the club. "We will talk about this later," said the blond. "Now got to deal with this."

His hand which glowed blue for a bit threw the club up. "Flipendo.'

With the spell cast the club slams into the troll knocking it out. The students look at the professor with awe. "Whoa.'

"What are you three doing?" demanded the blond professor.

The young female walks up. "I heard there was a troll and I thought I could face it.'

Naruto sighs. "I am not going to call you out on that lie however, I will be deducting 10 point from Gryffindor for each of you.'

Snape, Quirrell and McGonagall run in. "Professor Uzumaki.'

"I will talk to you three later. These three got lost and almost got killed. I will escort them back to the their common room. Follow me.'

The four walk away.

Getting to the common room. Naruto turns to the three student. "Be careful next time."
