This is the 10th chapter. I don't own the series of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.
Brother Bear Part 3
The next day, Rutt and Tuke are getting up from their sleep while getting ready for a new day in the morning. Tuke stretches with a yawn while Rutt slowly walking to his brother, yawning.
"Good day." Tuke greets, looking at his brother.
"Yeah. How's it going, eh?" Rutt asks.
"Beauty." Tuke answered, turned his head.
"Beauty." Rutt replied, also turned his head.
"Oh, so we got a lot to get done today, eh." Tuke told him while Rutt scratches himself with his hoof, which causes the fleas to fly out as he shakes the daze off of him and the fleas flew back to his fur. "You wanna get started?"
"Yeah, just give me one sec, eh." Rutt replied as he exhales while rotating his hind legs, which the sound of pop is heard and then he kneels down. "Can you...just help me crack this?"
"Sure. Alright, alright." Tuke complied with reluctance, using his ankle to hit his brothers back and sound of cracking is heard as Rutt stands back up. "You ready now?"
"Almost." Rutt answered, causing Tuke to flatten his ears and getting impatient as he lays on the ground, arching his back.
"Oh, come on!" Tuke groans impatiently as Rutt quickly stands back up.
"Good." Rutt said with a smile. "Okay!"
"And go!" Tuke said as he and his brother began eating the grass. "Mm, mm...this is a nice patch."
"Oh, gee, don't eat it-don't go near that patch here, somethin' went here." Rutt warned his brother.
But unknown to the two moose, Denahi is tracking a bear at the riverbank as he slowly went inside of the glacier and began searching for him. Meanwhile, Daylight and Comet are getting themselves dried up with their heat spell after an icy cold bath at the river which they're not very comfortable about it, but the options are limited. Nava and Kenai felt sympathy to the two foals, but Koda on the other hand, is looking at his own reflection from the ice as he makes funny face. He laughed at himself while making snorting noises after pulling his nose up, then turns to Kenai who's annoyed of his antics.
Denahi quietly walks a few steps, leaving against the ice wall as he gets ready to fight. He quickly jumped out and noticed the isn't there.
Mainly because, they're a few steps ahead, but unfortunately, Koda is playing his reflection. Kenai is annoyed, same with Comet and Daylight, but Nava kept his calm demeanor.
"Skinny, fat, skinny, fat..."
"Hey, I've got a mountain to get to." Kenai told him, walking away. "C'mon, kid!"
"I told you before, it's Koda!" Koda remarked in annoyance as he then sat on the top of the ice. "Say it with me, Ko-da!"
"Are you sure your mom didn't ditch you, Koda?" Kenai questions sarcastically while sticking his tongue, causing Koda to scoff and then slides down.
Comet and Daylight just rolled their eyes at Kenai's immature behavior, which they decided not to berate him as they continued to head for the mountain where the light touches the Earth.
Denahi got out of the glacier, disappointed that he didn't find the bear who goes as Kenai. However, once Tuke slowly raise his up, it got him scared when he noticed Denahi. He quickly swallows the grass as he quickly warns his brother.
"R-Rutt!" Tuke called him, panicked.
"Go away, eh, I'm eating twigs." Rutt said while eating and not paying attention.
"R-Rutt!" Tuke called him again.
"Go away! You're breaking my concentration, eh." Rutt remarked in annoyance.
"W-We should start running...Like now!" Tuke warns him as he began running, leaving his brother behind.
"I can't! I'm still digesting, eh. I'll get cramps." Rutt told him, which Tuke already let, but he turns and saw Denahi who had a harden glare. The moose starts to panic as he spits out the contents and ran. "Ah, geez! He's after us!"
"Come on, little brother!" Tuke called him, but Rutt starting to have cramps.
"Cramp!" Rutt shouts.

At the meadow, Kenai, Nava, Koda, Comet, and Daylight continued venturing on, but it got them, except the elder wolf, very annoyed of the bear cub talking about his mother and him got separated.
"...Actually, if you really want to know how me and my mom got separated, I was saving this story for the Salmon Run, but...I'll tell you." Koda said which Kenai, Comet, and Daylight weren't interested. "It was probably the 5th or 6th, the most coldest day in my entire life..."
"Oh, this sounds good, you definitely save it." Kenai cuts him off with a smile in sarcasm.
"You think so?" Koda inquires.
"Oh yeah...for your friends." Kenai remarked with a glare.
"Kenai, it's no use trying to argue with him. He's only a cub." Comet told him.
"Also, if you want to get to the mountain, just put up with it until we get there." Daylight adds as she and her brother follow Nava, causing Kenai to groan.
"Anyway, well there's another story..."
"Ah, ah, ah, tell you what, how about no talking." Kenai cuts him off with a suggestion.
"Okay...then I'll sing!" Koda suggests, but just as Kenai is about to protest, he begins to sing.

Koda (Sings):
Tell everybody I'm on my way
New friends and new places to see
"Shhh! Koda, stop singing!" Kenai said, tried to shush him, but Koda kept singing.
Koda (Sings):
With blue skies ahead

And there's nowhere else that I'd rather be
Kenai even tried to cover his mouth, but it didn't work. He tried by shoving Koda right onto the log, but it only got him to sing even louder which got him covering his ears and walks away. Nava, Comet, and Daylight were amused at that, following the bear. Koda was able to get himself out of the log, walking next to Kenai, who just kept on moving with a grumpy look as the bear cub mimics his expression. Both Comet and Daylight just snickered at that, but Kenai rolled his eyes in annoyance while Koda did the same. Kenai then ran ahead, but Koda follows him while Comet, Daylight, and Nava chuckled as they followed the two bears.
Kenai tried to eat some berries from the bushes but dropped it because of his new appearance and not used to being the bear. Koda ran on top of his head and started eating the berries. Much to his annoyance, Kenai pushes Koda off of him with his head which causes the bear cub to roll off to the ground as the adult bear draws a line. Koda uses the stick to draw a circle line and sat next to him, which Kenai groans in annoyance.
Kenai is getting even more annoyed, but Nava, Comet, and Daylight were listening to Koda telling stories to the animals while making them laugh. He decided it's time to leave when he grabs hold of Koda, biting the scruff of his neck and drags him away from the animals while Nava, Comet, and Daylight followed them.
They're now journeying through the meadow fields that's full of flowers. Koda turned his attention to the flowers as he begins running around the flower fields which causes the flowers to fly and covered Kenai, Comet, and Daylight, who started to sneeze.
That night at the top of the cliff, Nava, Comet, and Daylight were sleeping together while Kenai and Koda were sleeping separately. Koda walks next to Kenai as he lays next to him, but Kenai stood up and walks away, then lays next to the rock. Both Comet and Daylight felt bad for Koda, stood up as they walk next to the bear cub and lays next to him.
The next day, the clouds began to form and turned black as the loud roaring thunder was head, the rain began to pour down. Kenai, Nava, Comet, and Daylight kept on moving while leaving prints, but Koda followed behind, making big steps on the prints.
At the cliff, Koda is standing on his hind legs with his arms spreading and letting the wind blow him since it's strong enough to prevent him from falling. Kenai was about to walk next to him, but steps back when he felt the strong wind blowing. Smirking as he joins him when he the same as Koda did, which both of the bears are enjoying it. However, it fell short and both Koda and Kenai fall down, sliding down towards the mud. Koda and Kenai shake the mud off, but the adults bears fur on his head had a mohawk. It got Koda, Comet, and Daylight laughed while Nava chuckled as Kenai messes the bear cubs' fur which got him laughed a bit.
But soon as they got out of the mud while continued to head for the mountain where the light touches the Earth, they heard the voice from a far distance.
"Hey! Hold on, eh! Wait up!" The voice of Rutt called them, earned their attention when they saw him and Tuke running to them. "How's it going, bear boy? And Comet, Daylight, and Nava?"
"And, uh...smallish bear?" Tuke adds when he notices Koda.
"Gee, I didn't know you had a little brother." Rutt stated, rubbing his head with his hoof. "He's cute, eh."
"Well, actually, he's just-"
"Okay, there's this hunter, eh, following us, and I was-we were thinking...if we can maybe we just kinda, hangout with you guys." Rutt interrupts as Tuke nods with an agreement.
"Yeah, just hang out." Tuke adds. "That's right, eh."
"Yeah, it'll be fun!" Rutt agrees. "You know? I mean, if the hunter is going to catch, then you..."
"Then you'll eat him!" Tuke finished his sentence.
"Right, well...that's just what he's thinking." Rutt adds.
"But we lost him back on to the glacier." Daylight told them.
"So, you don't he'll follow those?" Rutt questions, which causing them to turn and saw the prints from behind, proved his point.
"There are quite nice." Tuke stated as Kenai pondered a bit, and thought of an idea.
"I've got an idea." Kenai said, turning to them.
And the idea Kenai thought of, is riding on mammoths which Koda, Comet, Daylight, and Nava are new to this and they're feeling wobbly, but Kenai seems to be enjoying it since it's not the first-time riding on the mammoth.
"Okay, this is really weird." Koda said.
"Let's hope we don't fall off." Comet said as the mammoth makes a trumpet sound.
"Get out of here, I'm driving!" Tuke said, trying to steer the mammoth which it isn't working.
"When can I have a turn, eh?" Rutt asks, who's riding on the back of the mammoth.
"It's not as easy as it looks! Now, just watch what I do okay!" Tuke told him brother.
"Aw, let's get a backseat or something, I look like you hunted me!" Rutt complains as his brother groans in annoyance.
However, it got the animals noticed when they saw the two bears, two foals, two moose, and an elder wolf riding on the herd of mammoths which made them shocked. Koda gestured them to join, which the rabbit, the raccoon, and the weasel joined in, but the mammoth grabs hold of the gopher, tossing right on its back before the gopher notices a mother rabbit and a large number of baby rabbits. Three mice grabs hold of its tail, which made the mammoth wince a bit. Comet, Daylight, and Koda took a quick glance when they saw Kenai and the mammoth are at the river which the herd were following. Koda ran up to the trunk and the mammoth raises it up in the air while the herd did the same, lifting the animals up, including Comet, Daylight, and Nava. Kenai then stand up on his hind legs and looked at Koda with a smile on his face, making the bear cub and two foals laugh.
Koda, Daylight, and Comet (Sings):
Guess I'm on my way

Later that night, the animals, Comet, Daylight, and Nava decided to get some rest since they'll be at the mountain where the light touches the Earth at a much better pace. Kenai is trying to get some sleep, but Koda kept talking which made the mammoths rolled their eyes.
"Okay, here's how I remember, if the snow is white, it's alright. Yellow or green is just not clean, I learned that one the hard way." Koda said. "Oh, that reminds me. Last year on the Salmon Run, my friend Bucky totally dared me, but I heard about this other cub that his tongue stuck to the iceberg. And then he started to float away, and so to save him, they had to like rip off his tongue. And so now, he had to talk like this all the time."
Kenai then got him to stop talking by closing his mouth with both of his claws.
"Do you ever stop talking?" Kenai asks, but it got them noticed the aurora borealis were flowing on to the starry night sky which just happens to be the light where the light touches the Earth.
"Whoa, look!" Koda said, points at the lights. "The Night Rainbow! You can see the spirits from here!"
"You know about the Great Spirits?" Kenai asks skeptically.
"Yeah, my grandma is up there and my granddad." Koda answer as he then climbs onto the mammoth's tusk and turns to Kenai. "Mom says the spirits made all the magical changes in the world. Like how the leaves change colors, or the moon changes shapes, or tadpoles change into frogs..."
"Yeah, I get it!" Kenai cuts him off with a scowl, then lays next to the tusk. "You know, for a change...maybe they can leave things alone."
"What do you mean?" Koda asks, confused.
"My brother is a spirit." Kenai answered sadly which left Koda shocked. "If it wasn't for him...I wouldn't be here."
"You have a brother up there?" Koda said, looking at the night sky, then back to Kenai. "What happen to him?"
"He was killed by a b...by a monster." Kenai answered with a sigh, after choosing the word and saying 'bear'.
Koda felt sympathy to Kenai for the loss of his brother, which he doesn't know about it. He slowly climbs on top of him and leans close to him.
"What's your brother's name?" Koda asks.
"Sitka." Kenai answered as Koda looks up with a smile.
"Thanks, Sitka. If it weren't for you, I would've never met Kenai." Koda said which made Kenai wondering if that's the reason why Sitka turned him into a bear as the bear cub lays next to his belly and curled himself. "I've always wanted a brother."
While Koda starts to sleep, Kenai decided to get some sleep since they'll be at the Salmon Run soon.
Inside of the dream realm, both Comet and Daylight were dreaming that they're in the Crystal Empire with their family, but they looked at the horizon with sad look on their faces. They felt homesick since the time they left without them and remained in the village for months. Princess Celestia, Princess Luna, and Mario Star arrived in their dream realm as they approached and the two foals turning to them.
"Comet? Daylight?" Mario said. "Luna told me what happened."
Comet and Daylight turned away, sad and couldn't face Mario which it's understandable for what they did. Though, Mario couldn't blame them as he walks to them, hugging the two foals.
"I don't blame you both for what happen, but you really had them worried." Mario told them as he breaks the hug. "Twilight, Shining Armor, and Cady are still worried about you, and they kept on wondering when you two are coming home."
"But what we also notice you two had something on your mind." Princess Celestia adds with concern. "You miss your home?"
Comet and Daylight stayed in silent which the expression tells them everything. Mario and the two Princesses smiled warmly at the two foals.
"But...it's more than that. After what happen to Sitka and Kenai, I don't know if the Great Spirits would ever change him back. And we don't know if Denahi ever believes us if we told him." Comet explains, worried. "I just wish Kenai hadn't-"
"Shhh...it's alright, Comet." Princess Luna assures him, shushing him. "We understand how you feel, but this is Kenai's doing, not yours, not Daylights, and it's not Sitka's. This is his own action that led him to a blind rage on killing the bear."
"And it's Kenai's punishment, but it's another thing you two will have to understand. The Great Spirits turned him into a bear, for him to understand his misplaced actions and to learn the concept and perception of love." Princess Celestia adds. "If Cadence is with you both, she would've taught Kenai the lesson about love."
"But Kenai is just too stubborn to learn about love. And he thought that being stallion doesn't have anything to do with it." Daylight points out.
"Well, I believe this is where Kenai is wrong." Mario told her. "And it's something he'll have to learn on his own."
"But, what if..."
"Comet, you and your sister must understand this is Kenai's important lesson he has to learn." Princess Celestia told them sternly. "And this is also where your journey will teach the values and meaning."
"I know it's hard, but you two will have to believe in yourself and have faith." Princess Luna adds.
Princess Luna (Sings):

Comet and Daylight then turned their heads and saw the lights touches the Earth flowing through the sky. Mary and Chris arrived in front of them, seeing their children having some doubts of their journey and about Kenai changing his ways. They can understand since having Kenai learn the meaning of love and getting him to understand what he did isn't easy.
Chris and Mary (Sings):

Chris, Mary, Princess Luna, Princess Celestia, and Mario (Sings):

Then, the Great Spirits began to surround them as the animal spirits were revealing themselves while Comet and Daylight looked at them, but Chris, Mary, Mario, and the Princesses smiled at the two foals. The eagle spirit flew towards the two, materialized into Sitka with a smile, looking at the foals. He can tell what was going on their mind and he understands why they're with Kenai since he was watching over them on their journey.
Chris, Mary, Princess Luna, Princess Celestia, and Mario (Sings):

When the song ends, the Great Spirits, Sitka, and the animal spirits vanished. Comet and Daylight are beginning to understand what they're telling them.
"Do you understand now?" Princess Luna said. "This is Kenai's lesson he must learn."
"And in time, he'll tell Koda." Princess Celestia adds.
"But what about Denahi?" Comet asks.
"Denahi is beyond reason, I'm afraid. His mind is on revenge against Kenai, without realizing his brother has turned into a bear as punishment." Princess Luna told him. "But you must understand, this is Kenai's decision and his alone. Once he understands the value of love and for what he has done while making up his mistakes, the Great Spirits will turn him back into a stallion, but it's his decision to make and his alone."
"While you and your sister may journey with Kenai, but you'll have to understand that neither of you will interfere of him and Denahi." Princess Celestia adds. "It's understandable it's hard, but this is his something he'll have to learn on his own."
Comet and Daylight didn't like what the Princesses are telling him and neither does Mario, but they made a valid point which they can only respond in silent with a nod. The Princesses and Mario then walk towards the two foals as they began to hug them one last time since they'll be waking up soon.
Meanwhile at Canterlot, Princess Celestia is waking up from her sleep as she stood up and saw her sister finished her night duty. Princess Luna is about to head to her room to get some sleep but noticing her sister flying to her with concern.
"Do you think Comet and Daylight will be able to complete their journey with Kenai?" Princess Celestia asks.
"Only time will tell, but all we can do now is have faith in them." Princess Luna told her sister. "I know it's hard, but that is all we can do right now. I know Comet and Daylight will help Kenai and complete their journey."
Princess Celestia agreed with his sister, but she's still worried about the two foals journeying on the wilderness without their family or anypony with them, but Kenai is with them which they know he can watch over them. However, with Kenai being the bear he hates the most, he'll just have to endure it until his journey reach to an end and make amends with his brother and Koda for the past mistakes. It will be difficult for him, but this is something he must do it alone by telling the bear cub when the time is right.
