Episode 108: The Menace of Magneto (Part 1)!

After Laura, Kitty, Jubilee, and Kurt left out the back entrance to the school with their Marémon in tow, Peter, MJ, and Remy proceeded deeper into the school towards the chamber that held the Cerebro Helmet. It turned out to be accessed by a staircase hidden behind a shelf of books in the library, which led them into a shiny metallic hallway that was brightly lit. At the end of the hallway was a big metal door with a 'X' symbol.

"Gambug, Kinetic Charge!" Remy said to his bug-like Marémon that was wrapped in a brown cloth-like substance.

Nodding, Gambug unfolded its stubby arms. In its hands, there were handfuls of card-shaped cloths which Gambug concentrated on. Each card-shaped cloth suddenly turned pink and was glowing brightly. Then Gambug threw the card-shaped cloths at the door, which exploded on impact. While there were some significant dents, the door wasn't completely destroyed.

"Looks like Gambug needs some extra firepower to break down the door," Peter realized and held up a PDB. "Rikoshay, Exploding Discs!"

From Peter's PDB emerged Rikoshay, who didn't look too happy to be summoned. He glanced back at Peter but did nothing else.

"I said, Exploding Discs," Peter repeated. "Use them on the door!"

Rikoshay folded his arms in defiance.

"Ugh, really?" Peter complained. "You're still not listening to me, even now?"

"Was Rikoshay behaving like this during your rematch with Quill?" MJ asked.

"Yeah."

"Maybe he still doesn't fully trust you."

"While you try to get your Marémon under control, I'll tell Gambug to keep blasting the door," Remy said and ordered his Marémon to throw another Kinetic Charge attack.

"Look, Rikoshay, I'm sorry I've neglected you," Peter apologized as he got on his knees to where his eyes were level with Rikoshay's. "But I really need your help. Spidermin is in trouble, and if we don't save him he could get hurt. You saved him once before, remember?"

Reluctantly, Rikoshay nodded which Peter took to mean he did remember the time when he saved Spidermin from the Optic Blast of Black Tarantula's Tarantu back in La Vie City.

"I know you were doing that to pay off your debt to me, but we're now part of the same team and team members don't leave each other behind," Peter said, and held up the PDB. "But if you don't want to help me, I'll release you right now."

Just as Peter was about to throw the PDB on the ground, the discs on Rikoshay's arms started blinking red and then he threw them at the door. The discs exploded immediately, which made the dents that Gambug left earlier into a big enough hole for a person to step through.

"Thank you," Peter said and hugged Rikoshay from behind. "I knew you were a good Marémon all along!"

"As touching as this scene is, we need to keep moving," Remy urged.

"Couldn't agree more," MJ added.

Excitedly, Gambug hopped through the hole while Remy followed. Noirspi and MJ came in second, while Peter and Rikoshay came in last. On the other side of the door, Steve was kneeling on a walkway as Spidermin was wrapping him in silk webs.

Further up, Capmer was pinned down by blades made of purple energy that were floating around Psylocke as Betsy smirked triumphantly. Behind her, Ar-I was floating next to the unconscious Professor Xavier and Proffix. There was also an intimidating man wearing a magenta cape that was removing a helmet from Anna, who had collapsed in front of a control panel at the end of the walkway that stood over a circular chamber.

"Anna!" Remy cried, getting the intimidating man's attention. "What have you done to her and Tabirog?"

"She merely volunteered to use the Cerebro Helmet to lower Charles' mental barrier around the school," the intimidating man said casually. "But it came at the cost of putting her in a coma. As for her Marémon, I put it back in its PDB using my magnetism."

"Then you must be Erik Lehnsherr, the leader of the Brotherhood," Remy deduced.

"Indeed I am," Erik confirmed. "Though I'm surprised you were able to get through that door when I locked it permanently."

"He had help from us," Peter said as he and MJ stood next to Remy. "Now let our friends go!"

"Foolish children," Ar-I growled. "What makes you think you can stand against us when your friend Captain Rogers, a trained soldier and SHIELD agent, couldn't handle a Psylocke and a mere Spidermin?"

"They ganged up on me, so it doesn't count as a fair fight!" Steve argued. "Besides, I didn't want to hurt Spidermin since he's not in full control of his actions."

"Doesn't matter how the fight went down, Captain," Betsy said. "You lost! End of story."

"Why did you go after me, Pete?" Steve said, glancing back at Peter. "I ordered you and MJ to stay put!"

"Because you need our help, whether you want it or not!" Peter declared. "Rikoshay, cut Spidermin's webs with your Throwing Discs!"

"Noirspi, Twin Revolver the blades pinning down Capmer!" MJ ordered.

Upon command, Noirspi shot explosive pellets from its forelegs at the purple blades which exploded allowing Capmer to get to his feet. As for Rikoshay's discs, they not only cut Spidermin's webs off Steve but they also circled around and hit Ar-I causing him to spin through the air before they returned to Rikoshay.

"Nice work, Rikoshay," Peter complemented. "I didn't even think of that."

"Guys, we should be careful," Remy warned. "If this walkway takes too much damage, it could collapse and we would all die."

"That's a very good point," Erik said and held up his own PDB, which was magenta-and-purple. "Magneto, Magnet Ray!"

From Erik's PDB emerged a giant flying saucer with purple magnets for arms. While its head was metallic, its body was the same magenta color as Erik's cape and its singular eye was pink. Pointing its magnets downward, a humming noise followed as Capmer, Noirspi, and Rikoshay hovered in the air.
