So much shick i need to update or replace... eh whatever. Free entertainment.

He stepped toward Dubois on the way to the arena, Someone he had to trust on even a minute level.

¨bonjour ichika… how are you doing?¨" anxiety with clear on her face. It was his earlier action, but why? Why was calling dubois by her name so worrisome to her?

It was a clearly different tone to their past interactions, someone as sly and brave as her wouldn´t just be nervous over a slight conversation.

¨Fine, how are you doing, Dubois?" she seemed confused at the last name.

He was just as confused as her and felt bad at how she reacted.

¨ï get I was a jerk in the morning, but maybe you can look past that if you want me to say sorry again I will¨ he said apologetically.

¨wait you didn´t know?¨ Intrigue flicked upon her face as much as fear did.

¨about what?¨

She took a moment to think.

He knew? But why wouldl he still put on the charade then? If it was a threat it was a poorly placed and worded one.

She already forgave him for his past actions, even if it did sting a slight bit she could understand but she went through classes picking apart what he said earlier.

How could she guarantee he knew?

¨ït´s just because of my name, that was my mother´s… i was a bit suprised by that¨ it wasn´t a blatant lie.

¨why? I thought that was your name.¨

She then proceeded to walk to the men´s changing room. And waited near the corner to gauge his reaction.

¨what? Oh. OOH¨ he looked nervous as if he realized the full extent of his mistake.

How did he know though? Who told him? He was always hanging out with laura, and she was the biggest link to chifuyu in the school. They knew. Then they must have at least told him her real NAME.

¨I´m really sorry about this, and you know, a bunch of my old friends were planning on a get together to reconnect a bit, do you want to come along?¨ Hmm… he was trying to be very casual about this. But he really did want her coming along. Maybe he really was apologetic about it all.

¨Who´s coming?" She needed more info on this.

¨laura, houki, and lingyin.¨ Now she could jump at THAT.

¨Sounds… Fun!¨ And hey, maybe she could even enjoy this.

Itchika began walking to the locker room… still i can´t believe theres another guy who can pilot the IS¨

The american in him really was slipping out.

¨ Some of us, aren´t related to one of the greatest warriors in the history of IS academy, and mysteriously disappear for 6 years before reappearing.¨ He took a moments pause at that.

He visibly cringed at that.
¨i would´ve heard about it sooner though.¨ lie and Laura says afterward. Tell the truth and he has something to use against her.

¨Even with my special gear I prefer to live on the less knowledgeable to most of the people here¨

¨wouldn´t someone have caught on? the Dubois corporation is still a massive powerhouse, dosen´t make sense how there was a different reaction to me and you.¨

¨Ït´s been spreading, and more and more girls have been eying me day by day." Sad but true, shes been raised to act like a guy her whole life.

¨At least you´re not alone anymore¨ he said understandingly.

Ït was nice.

Still, a little bit of revenge wouldn´t be out of order. And maybe she could fib on her report a bit¨ Maybe he really could be a friend.

¨Don´t think your off the hook for you earlier comment yet, I´m going to enjoy this.¨ She said with a big smile.

He smiled back in an even wider grin.

¨Same here.¨

Training thankfully was a lot less dangerous. And at the end, they both felt closer, even with all the lies between them.

¨Ciao!¨

¨Bye charles, see you in a bit!¨ while walking away he considered their earlier conversation.

He felt a small bit better. But why would laura tell him that? Did she make a mistake? Wrong intel?

A brief headache followed added with all of the past manuvering this made his day a bit better. But he would be able to gauge his reaction during the event when he met laura…

Maybe he should just try to enjoy this… ¨pretend like he´s actually fine¨

But as he started walking up to his sisters office he knew this was being done for himself and no one else.

She´s been there for him and even if they didn´t trust each other with their full stories he knew he could trust her to at least not look into his.

¨is my sister here?¨ he asked offhandedly.

¨Oh! Are you chifuyus brother? she´s a bit busy at the moment maybe come by at a later time?¨

¨Ah, sorry. I should´ve made a call earlier.¨ He said apologetically.

¨it´s fine. Come back later!"

A bit disappointing but, he´d talk to her in a bit.

He just wanted to reunite, to be able to maintain some semblance of a familial relationship, to feel liker her little brother again, and that selfish wish could wait a bit longer.

Shortsighted to owl, but it could also be argued that he´s just infiltrating his position better.

A good excuse. Better it be denied to him.

With a sigh he walked away, soldiering on. One foot over the other.

He´ll take a nap, and who knows it might make the day go by a little bit easier.

She looked at the boy asleep on her lap under a willow tree, her master. The one she values over herself at all costs.

She knew how he hunted, thought, and felt at a subconscious level. A boy turned predator, and a damn good one at that, but… hesitance? Anxiety? He was someone who regretted his actions but would continue to do them at any instant he was beckoned by his masters who twisted him to who he was.

…but without them, they would never have met.

He treated her right, with continuous maintenance, and shining polishing, she really did appreciate those simple gestures he did after he realized her mere existence.

What should she do? She helped control him as his weapon, and she could tell he was weakening.

The time would come when he would have to choose his sister or the birds he flocked with.

What would she do? Hunting was a necessity to her, a glorious purpose that was imbued into her very essence. But… she really did care for him. Would she give up being a predator just to keep her master happy? Safety was guaranteed, but living? She did not know.

Helping others to him no matter how supressed and misdirected by his ¨superiors¨ was as integral and satisfying as crushed metal and gushing blood to her.

Sighing quietly she regretted being paired and so closely connected emotionally to a kind man. They worked together well for that reason, the heart and the iron. She kept him alive and he kept her in check even when she hated him for it.

She would help him in whatever way he could. Even if it was without him liking it. But if he decided who he flew with, she would follow him without question.

¨Just relax my hero, we´ll be free one day.¨

She hoped.

It was a nice refreshing sleep for him, so much so that he was nearly late to the ¨get together¨ linyin promised to take him to.

Strolling on his way to one of the ¨secure¨ restaurants they actually had here. Reminded him of his time visiting a secret high-level base for watchdog paperwork. Uncle Sam loved his food, so did everyone else it seems.

Everyone shared a pizza at the food court. It was such a nice memory that afterwards in one of their bases they tried to make one of their own. He could still smell the smoke. At least Monika enjoyed it at the end. Although she might´ve just been nice, he couldn´t tell.

He wished he could just keep relaxing and remembering. Not bothering with the new world he willingly forced himself to be a part of.

He missed his sisters, York, Monika, and Kane… so many more.

He could never get used to the emotional navigation he had to deal with on a now regular basis.

Now, where was it? Was it a turn to the left? Or the right?

The people at the IS academy would never be his exact sort. With all the gossiping and stares he felt like a watched animal. If he even made a move against them he´d be dealt with.

Dosen´t mean he didn´t like some people, the staff were absolutely some of the more tolerable people he met, one of the few highlights of his day was a casual conversation with one of the few guys employed at the cafeteria during dinner shift.

Laura was relatable but not trustworthy, and Dubios was… well if it wasn´t for the data spying he might actually like him, or at least respect him more. A shotgun to the face does that.

Houki, undecided on her. She was matched up against him minding that. But she probably wouldn´t hold it against him like Cecelia did.

He never really wanted to fight her. But he knew Fukoro would never forgive him if he willingly lost, were the words necessary though? He didn´t want enemies here. Regrets and Indulgence of his own mallice, well at least she´d keep her distance.

The map he spotted was indecipherable, and the school's corridors and architecture tried very hard to look indistinguishable.

He only found his way there by spotting and asking a male janitor for help. Ironic, turns out he was halfway to the exact opposite end of where he should be. After thanking him he went on his way running.

He was almost out of breath when he got there, moving along inside to see the table where everyone was sitting turning to look at him almost in simultaneous fashion… including Cecelia.

This was going to be a long dinner.
