Before reading I would like to state that I have not read any other Naruto fanfics, and I've only watched 2 episodes of Boruto so if there are any similarities it is just a coincidence.
Chapter 1
Injured Neji
During The Fourth Great Ninja War
STAB. Gasps!
"Neji!"
"Someone quickly get that kid to a hospital! Now!" screams out a soldier.
"Right!"
Sakura and Shikamaru run to Neji's aid. Shikamaru picks up Neji and he starts running towards the nearest hospital. Sakura is right beside the two boys, trying to heal Neji.
"You're not gonna die on us Neji," Sakura says.
"Just hang in there buddy," Shikamaru quietly says to Neji.
Neji groans in pain to respond to Sakura and Shikamaru.
"Save your energy," Sakura says.
Back to the battlefield:
"Who said it was okay to get that brat some help?!" Obito yells out.
A white zetsu comes up from the ground with a giant smile. "I can go after them if you'd like!"
"Go!" Obito shouts. "Come back when those 3 are dead!"
The white zetsu goes back underground quickly. Obito watches the white zetsu go down with an evil smirk. Once the zetsu is gone, Obito looks back up at the battlefield.
"How do you feel Naruto?" Obito asks. "Knowing that you can't save all your comrades? I mean, you did just witness that one brat get impaled, and you will witness many more deaths of your comrades. More comrades will die just to protect you!"
Naruto looks up at Obito with nothing but hatred while Hinata is crying behind him.
"You shut the hell up!" Naruto yells at Obito. "Neji isn't gonna die! No more comrades will die because of you!"
Hinata tugs on Naruto's shoulder. "N- Naruto, are you sure big brother Neji will survive? I can't imagine my life without him!"
"Sakura and Shikamaru are getting him help right now. I believe in them. They're gonna save Neji," Naruto says.
"I hope you're right, Naruto," Hinata says.
"I know I'm right," Naruto says.
Hinata looks up at the sky with her big lavender white eyes and starts to cry softly.
"Please, Neji... Survive."
