Ana, Ana, - the tall blonde girl woke up her black-haired friend, who was sleeping peacefully hugging her textbooks. The brunette rolled over and began to snore again.

- Steele, we have to study, - the blonde said, taking the textbook from her friend. She opened her eyes.

- Kate, I'm not sleeping! - brown eyes pierced the pretty face of the blonde. Kate rolled her eyes. That's Anastasia. Reading until late and waking up after noon. If it were summer or early January, this wouldn't be a problem. But it was October, and they had just arrived at a new university on an exchange program from Seattle to Odessa.

- Steele, we agreed. You read until 10 p.m., and then you sleep, - Kavanagh scolded Steele.

Ana smiled a sweet, innocent smile. Kate was her older sister, her best and most loyal friend. The girls graduated from Hogwarts together, applied to the Seattle Auror Academy together, and got into the student exchange program together. Today was their first day at the new university and they couldn't be late.

While Anastasia was taking a shower, Kavanagh quickly conjured breakfast and turned on the TV. A second later, Steele appeared in the kitchen, cheerful and collected.

"You're so quick," Kavanagh chuckled. Ana didn't answer her and dug into her breakfast.

20 minutes later, the girls ran out of the house and rushed to school. Along the way, they looked at the people and the noisy city that was coming to life under the rays of the autumn sun.

- Everything is so special here, - laughed Anastasia. - The air is clean and fresh, people are smiling, and the weather...

- Yes, like here in May... I can already imagine what kind of guys there are here, - smacked Kate.

An hour later, the girls reached the University of Legal and Defensive Magic. Having checked in at the guardhouse, they climbed the marble stairs and reached the office of the rector Andrei Ostapovich. Anastasia entered first.

Andrei Ostapovich, an elderly mustachioed man who had been through two magical wars, looked at Miss Steele very kindly and cordially. Having read her resume and familiarized himself with her grades, he assigned her to a group of 2nd-year Aurors.

Kate was also assigned there. Their curator was called Yuri Chusov - he was a stern but fair teacher. He led the girls to the auditorium where their new group was studying. Ana, clutching her textbooks, walked first, and Kate kept turning her head, examining the architecture and looking out for cute guys.

"Attention, group," Chusov entered the classroom, followed by Kate and Ana. Everyone present stared at the two cute girls.

"Exchange program? Again?" the sugary, streaked guy sitting at the back of the class chuckled.

"Hyde, please," the cute, neat girl sitting next to him rolled her eyes. "You moved here from your New York a month ago, and you're already asserting your rights."

"Our group isn't big," a cute African-American girl supported Hyde. "Why are you here again?"

"Quiet," a cute brunette with a light stubble hissed at them.

"Aurora, we have two newcomers. Miss Anastasia Steele and her friend Katherine Kavanagh. They came from Seattle on an exchange. So... don't offend them... - Chusov introduced the girls, and they sat down in the empty seats. Ana sat next to a guy with a light stubble. Opening her textbook, she immersed herself in reading.

- Steele? - asked her deskmate after a while.

- Yes, and you...? - the brunette smiled amiably.

- David Gotsman, the group leader, a novice Auror... What brought you here from Seattle? - Gotsman asked.

- I want to see the world, and Seattle is boring. Very boring. When I found out about the exchange program, I asked to come here with Kate. She's interested in guys, and I'm interested in studying, - Steele said crisply.

- Did you study well at home? - An intelligent-looking bespectacled man with a bag of sunflower seeds joined the conversation.

- Fima, get lost, - Gotsman asked his friend.

- Got it. — The bespectacled man sat down in his seat.

Steele was an excellent student. This was back in Hogwarts. However, she was unable to complete her seventh year because of the war with Voldemort. When the war began, her mother Carla and father Ray, both prominent Aurors, quickly packed up and moved to Seattle. The girl was terribly homesick for her native England, but then she came to terms with the state of affairs and focused on her studies. As a result, she was first in everything in terms of her studies.

But as for her personal life... It wasn't that Ana wanted a relationship. She felt more comfortable with a book by the fireplace than on a date. Her ideal was a smart, handsome, charismatic young man who loved studying, appreciated it, and dreamed of overthrowing the Dark Lord.

But alas... She hadn't met that one yet, and her classmates in Seattle were preoccupied with fashion, social networks, and trends. In short, they were clearly not the type of man Ana secretly lusted after in her free time from studying.
