The first day passed calmly. Gotsman was an understanding guide and told the girls where to go and helped them adapt. While Steele had no problems with the language barrier (she studied Russian at the Seattle Auror Academy), Kavanagh kept getting into awkward situations and had to be rescued by Jack Hyde, who had his eye on her.
"Listen, David, is there an equivalent of the Slytherins here?" Ana asked at lunch in the cafeteria.
"Are you afraid that this infection in the form of pureblood superiority has penetrated here too?" Gotsman asked seriously, conjuring two teas with mint.
"I'm afraid. After all, it all started with the Slytherins at Hogwarts. With their megalomania… I studied with a terrorist cell at my side for seven years. And the Dark Lord was a Slytherin," Ana sighed.
"I can reassure you, we don't have such an equivalent." All our groups are made up of both muggles and wizards. True... There is one special group, - David lowered his voice.
Steele stopped chewing her chicken pie and stared at her new acquaintance.
- More details, - she lowered her voice.
- Steele, calm down... - David tried to evade the conversation.
- Dava, tell her. Forewarned is forearmed, - Fima walked past their table with a tray. Gotsman nodded to him, and Petrov sat down next to him.
Gotsman closed his eyes. He had no intention of telling Steele everything, but she should know something.
- The Magical Law Enforcement Group... Our parallel. The children of very wealthy and noble Odessa wizards study there. They are smart, brave, love to gnaw on the granite of science, but... I do not advise getting involved with them. They say that they are more of a sect than just friends. Although... I don't believe it. My friend Victor is in this group, and I haven't noticed anything strange about him, - Gotsman sighed.
Steel thought about it. A group of students who consider themselves better than others. Something is wrong here. Perhaps they support the ideas of the Dark Lord.
Or perhaps these are just rumors... Those who are better than others have always had plenty of ill-wishers and spiteful critics everywhere.
- Do you cross paths with them? Well, in class, - Ana decided to find out more about the magical law enforcement group.
- Sometimes we have double pairs. And then... Lord, save us! They shine with knowledge, facts just pour out of their answers. In comparison to them, we feel inferior, and those who don't feel inferior nervously smoke on the sidelines, - Fima lit up. - And their headman... That's a whole other story.
Steele took note of everything, and a plan for putting the smart-alecks from the magical law enforcement agency in their place appeared in her head...
Having found out that the Aurors and lawyers had double classes on Wednesdays, Ana decided to focus on magical law.
She and Kate walked home in the evening and chatted about trivialities. Kavanagh copied the number from Hyde and literally described to Anastasia how happy she was to transfer here.
"And what about you? Have you met anyone? The boys in our group are so-so. Not a single cute one, except for Jack. Fima is a swindler, Gotsman is busy and too serious... And Jose... Well, I haven't figured it out yet. The rest are somewhere on Fima's level... The magical law enforcement group is a different story... They say there are only handsome guys there," Kavanagh squeaked.
Steele rolled her eyes. If she was only interested in studying, then Kavanagh was apparently only interested in boys...
When they got home, the girls conjured dinner, ate, read from their notes and went to bed, full of impressions and optimism.
All week until Wednesday, Ana and Kate diligently studied their notes and immersed themselves in the measured student life. After the horrors of the second magical, studying in Odessa became a breath of fresh air for the girls and allowed them to forget about the bad.
Kate ran on dates with Hyde and tried to spend as much free time with him as possible, but Steele was leaning on her studies like crazy. She couldn't wait until Wednesday and wipe the nose of the magical law enforcement group.
Wednesday was marked by rain and a gray gloomy sky. Getting ready for school that morning, Steele felt with some sixth sense that her life would change dramatically today.
Did the girl like change? No. Did she want them? No. But the damned premonition literally wouldn't let her breathe...
"Ana," Kate called her carefully. Steele looked at her and nodded.
"Everything okay?" the blonde asked. Anastasia shrugged.
While the two friends had already gotten up and were ready for school, on the outskirts of Odessa in a rich mansion in the girls' room the alarm clock that stood on the nightstand had been ringing for almost 10 minutes. Finally, an elegant hand stuck out from under the blanket and, grabbing the hated clock, expertly threw it at the wall.
"Alarm clock zero, Lenka one," a sleepy grumble was heard from the girl's side. She playfully hit the guy sleeping next to her and stood up.
"Vit," Lena brushed the red strands from her forehead. "Get up. It's time to go to school. Today we will troll the Aurors with knowledge again.
Her lover and almost fiance, Viktor Platov, nodded sleepily and, asking him to lie down for another five minutes, closed his eyes.
Elena kissed him on the cheek and went to the kitchen. There she threw six eggs into the frying pan and, taking out three cups for coffee, immersed herself in cooking.
After the promised 5 minutes, Viktor came to the kitchen and began to help her. The lovers joked, laughed and touched each other in every possible way.
We'll have breakfast together again, and our class monitor will rush to the university for the third period? - The young man joked.
- I'll rush to him, - Elena muttered. - He's tired of being late. No, I understand, he's the class monitor, he has the right to do this, but, damn it, not every day. You put out the scrambled eggs, and I'll go wake him up.
Leaving her friend in the kitchen to sort out breakfast, Elena kissed him on the cheek and went up to the second floor, where there was a room of another tenant of this mansion. The girl opened the door to his room without knocking.
There was order inside, everything was in its place, and only the guitar was lying near the bed next to an almost finished bottle of champagne. Lena rolled her eyes and walked over to the bed, where a handsome brunette of about 20 with soft aristocratic features, stunningly beautiful eyebrows and a nice mole in the corner of his mouth was peacefully sleeping in the arms of two young girls.
"Oh, my God," the sorceress cursed, and the young man opened his eyes. Gray, clear, incredibly beautiful eyes bored into the girl's face.
"Overslept?" He carefully climbed out of bed so as not to wake his night guests.
"The head of magical law enforcement, Vitaly Yegorovich Krechetov," Elena chuckled, throwing jeans to her brother. "I didn't oversleep, but I was close. Do you remember that we have a class with the Aurors today?"
"Oh, I love that. They'll be so insecure again. They always look pale compared to us." The young man began to get dressed. "But they say they have a new girl. From Seattle." I wonder if she's busy or not?
Elena rolled her eyes... Her brother is incorrigible
