Ok, so this might be a bit random but... does anyone remember that infamous clip of that VTuber Legend anime with the Rias Gremory cameo in it like 4 or 5 months ago? Well, it resurfaced on my timeline completely at random and I had a sudden and random inspiration to write a one shot about it.

Will this amount to a full fanfic series? I mean, it could, but im really not sure. I literally typed all this up in like 3 hours on and off, so there isn't much of a plan here and its not entirely serious (so it's quality isn't as great as my othet fics either), its just an idea. Really not sure it will take off at all. That'll be up to you guys.

Since i am retired from this website but still active for PMing, if this story does ever continue, it'll be on AO3.

High School DxD/Yu-Gi-Oh GX Oneshot: A Demon among the Heroes.

Jaden Yuki is currently involved in a Duel with a random student. Both he and his opponent had no cards in hand, but Jaden does have a decently built board; having Elemental Hero Neos in Attack Position, Elemental Hero Woodsman in Defense, and 2 face-down Spells or Traps. And even with 1400 Life Points compared to his opponent's 2400, Jaden was still in a very strong position.

"Attack that wolf, Neos! Cosmic Crush!" Jaden ordered, and his Neos attacked the opponent's only card Wulf Lightsworn Beast, destroying it, and bringing down the opponent's Life Points to 2000. With no more plays, he ended his turn. "That'll do it for me."

His opponent drew his next card. "Thanks for destroying my Lightsworn Beast last turn," he said. "Because now that I have 4 different Lightsworn monsters in my grave, I can now freely Special Summon my Judgement Dragon!" Jaden's opponent summoned a large dragon that was not only the most powerful monster currently on the field at 3000 ATK, but it had an even more devastating ability... "And I think I'll be paying 1000 Life Points to activate its special ability... and destroy every other card on the field!"

With the cost received, Judgement Dragon pretty much nuked the entire board of every card except itself. 2 of Jaden's traps were revealed to be Mirror Force and Hero Barrier, both of which could've bought him an extra turn if he was able to activate them.

"Now, Judgement Dragon; end this duel! Attack Jaden directly!"

"Grr! I activate the effect of Necro Gardna in my graveyard! Now your attack is negated!"

Just before Judgement Dragon could attack and Jaden was staring into defeat, he triggered the effect of the Necro Gardna in his grave.

"What?! When did you put that in your graveyard?!" Asked the opponent, surprised Jaden had a secret last-second defense just in case.

"You did, actually." Jaden explained. "When you used Card Destruction on the first turn, I had no choice but to slip it into my graveyard." A flashback was generated showing this happening. While the other 3 cards were obscured, 2 of the last cards sent by Card Destruction were shown to be Monster Reborn and the very same Necro Gardna that protected Jaden.

"Humph, whatever. I'll end my turn..." the opponent said, then sent the top 4 cards of his Deck to the grave due to his dragons maintenance cost.

It came down to this one draw, maybe he'll draw Bubbleman or a Pot of Greed to give him some options... both would be nice...

What he ended up drawing was a really long red haired girl in a school uniform. He was confused at this, but the card Special Summoned itself automatically. Both him and the opponent were extremely confused, but Jaden did note a few things this new card said. For one thing, it was a monster called Rias Gremory, and it had a Special Summon effect upon drawing herself. She also had a decent statline too, 2500 ATK and 2400 DEF.

"What the...? What kind of monster is that?" Asked the opponent.

"Still trying to figure that out myself..." Jaden muttered so no one could hear. He looked this Rias card over some more... maybe this can work. "I'll activate her special ability. By sending one 1 Trap Card to my graveyard, I can set a trap with the same name, and activate it like any other Trap Card."

Its unknown what Trap Jaden set with this effect, but he wasn't finished.

"She does have another effect though. By removing one Spell from my grave, I can summon back any monster that was destroyed at any point throughout our Duel. And I think I'll revive your Dark Jeroid." Jaden continued as he removed Monster Reborn from his discard pile to trigger Rias' other effect, summoning the dark monster in defense. "Sadly, I can't attack with it this turn if Rias summons it, but since it was summoned again, now your Judgement Dragon loses 800 points."

The comparison of ATK stats was Rias having 2500, and Judgement Dragon now sitting at 2200. While a battle involving them wouldn't win Jaden the Duel, it would at least get rid of the still present threat Judgment Dragon still was.

"Rias! Attack his Judgment Dragon!" Rias flared some kind of power for an attack upon Jaden's order, but his opponent had a backup plan of his own.

"Not if I banish Eletromagnetic Turtle!" The opponent said, removing the monster from his graveyard. Seeing as he used a deck that constantly milled cards, it's unclear when exactly that was put in there; but just like Jaden, he bought himself an extra turn.

When his opponent drew his next card, he looked over the field. Unable to pay the activation cost for Judgement Dragon's board wiping effect, he had to resort to something else. Luckily he drew just the right card. It was a risk, but it was the only option he had right now.

"I play Card of Sanctity! Now we both draw 6 six cards!" Upon drawing, he saw a move he could make. "I'll also play another Spell, Fairy Metor Crush! Letting my dragon do piercing damage." By doing this, he has guaranteed to win so long as Jaden didn't interfere. "And just in case your new waifu has another trick up her sleeve, I'll send her to detention with Tribute to the Doomed!" By discarding a card, he destroyed Rias Gremory with the Spell.

"Now lets try this again. Attack Dark Jeroid and burn away the rest of Jaden's Life Points!"

"Still got cards I can play, like this one! Negate Attack!" This was the card he set with Rias' ability last turn.

"Damn... well, I'll set one card and also target Jeroid with Paralzing Potion so it can't attack next turn. And even though 4 more cards of mine go to the graveyard, your Rias is stuck there." The opponent said, once again paying his dragons maintenance and ending his turn.

Jaden smirked the second he drew his next card. "Ya sure about that?..." That's when a magic crest formed on the ground.

"What are you doing?" Asked the opponent.

"Nothing much, just sending 5 monsters with different types from my Deck to the graveyard, aaaaaaand..." Jaden was shown sending Flare Scarb, Glow Moss, Chrysalis Chicky, Elemental Hero Avian, and Dark Catapulter to his graveyard; which then caused Rias Gremory to come out of the magic crest.

"It can't be!"

"Sure it can. Whenever Rias is in the graveyard, I can send 5 monsters there to Special Summon her back to the field." Jaden explained.

"Even if you attack with her, it won't be enough to win you the game!" The opponent said, then as he thought to himself, some of the cards in his hand and the card he had set were transparently revealed to us. 'Even if he does, I have Rising Energy primed and ready. And even if he somehow survives, i also have both Monster Reborn and Dian Keto the Cure Master in my hand as well, then i'll just blow Rias up and attack directly for game...'

His plan sounded flawless. He had 2 options for victory right before him. If Jaden attacks, activate Rising Energy as a response for a 1500 attack point bonus, then just attack into Jeroid the following turn. Alternatively, he could use Monster Reborn (whether or not Judgement Dragon was destroyed), then use Dian Keto to restore enough points to fuel Judgement Dragons effect, then attack directly for another win that way.

"Hate to break it to ya, but games already here." Jaden said.

"What?" Asked the opponent.

"Here. Lemme show ya." Jaden said. "First I play The Warrior Returning Alive. This'll let me nab one Warrior in my graveyard, and add it to my hand. And I choose Neos! Next I'll use Rias' ability again, to remove Warrior Returning Alive this time to Special Summon Dark Catapulter. Finally... Your monsters not the only one with a destruction effect. By discarding Hero Kid, and while Rias can't attack, I can pop cards off the field equal to his level. And since he's a Level 2 Monster... both Judgement Dragon and your face-down are destroyed!"

Once Hero Kid was discarded, Rias flared her power again and sent out dark flames that burned both the opponent's face-down trap, and his monster, leaving him wide open. While he was nervous at this, he calmed down upon remembering Jaden stated she and the monster he just revived can't make an attack, nor Jeroid since it was paralyzed.

Jaden made his final play...

"Now I tribute both my Dark Catapulter, and your Dark Jeroid... to Summon back, Elemental Hero Neos!" With that summon alone, Jaden had secured his victory. "Attack!"

With a 2500 Cosmic Crush attack directly on the opponent, Jaden won the Duel... but such plays couldn't have been possible without Rias...

Okay... that's it. Was it my best written fic? Hell naw, but i hoped it was a fun little read to kill a few minutes of your time. Also, in case your curious about Rias as a card, check below.

Rias Gremory:

Type and Attribute: Fiend, Dark

Level: 10

ATK and DEF: 2500, 2400

Lore/Effect(s):

If you control no face-up cards or you draw this card during your Draw Phase, you can Special Summon it from your hand. You can use the following effects once per turn:

•Discard 1 Monster: destroy cards on the field equal to the discarded Monsters level. If you do this, "Rias Gremory" cannot attack this turn.

•Send 1 Trap from your Deck to the GY: Set 1 Trap with the same name from your Deck to your field (it cannot be activated this turn).

•Banish 1 Spell from your GY to target 1 Monster in either GY that was destroyed: Special Summon it and if you do, its treated as a Fiend monster, but it cannot attack this turn.

•(Quick Effect) While this card is in the GY: you can send 5 monsters with different types from your Deck to the GY and if you do, Special Summon it.

Card Trivia:

•Her destruction effect is a reference to her Power of Destruction demonic power, which can destroy virtually anything, and if pushed far enough, the entire underworld where she originates from.

•Sending a Trap to the GY to set another Trap of the same name is a reference to runes or magical traps devils can place in her own franchise.

•Her Special Summoning effects reference her initial appearance via being summoned by the main male protagonist of her franchise, Issei Hyoudou; and her own ability to revive the dead, though turn them into devils like herself (or in Yu-Gi-Oh's case, a Fiend-type).

•Her last Special Summon effect, being similar to Fairy Tail Snow's Special Summon ability (by sending 5 differently typed monsters to the GY instead of banishing 7), is also a reference to the caste system in her series, which is based on 5 of the 6 game pieces of chess: Pawn, Rook, Bishop, Kight and Queen. Rias of course, being the King.
