For a whole week, Hibari had been begging Dino for a dog. It all started when he watched a cute puppy commercial on TV, and since then, it was all Hibari could talk about. Dino thought the whole thing would pass, that it was just a fleeting idea, but no—it had been a week, and Hibari was getting more and more insistent.

To make matters worse, Hibari had started sulking, his expression permanently pouty as he mentioned the dog again and again.

So here they were, at the pet shop.

As they wandered through the aisles, Hibari's attention was caught by a small gecko in a glass tank. He stared at it, looking strangely intrigued.

"No," Dino said, shaking his head. "Remember what we're here for."

But Hibari didn't seem convinced. He glanced at the gecko, then looked back at Dino with a serious expression. "I think I don't want a dog anymore. They're big and hard to take care of. How about I get a gecko instead?"

Dino's face fell, and he immediately said, "No, Kyoya. We're not getting a gecko."

Hibari sulked, crossing his arms, and Dino sighed in defeat. Though... they ended up leaving the store without either a dog or a gecko.

On the drive back to the car, Dino couldn't help but chuckle at the sight of Hibari's pouty lips. Cute, Dino thought, smiling to himself. He decided to pull up to a cafe and buy Hibari some cakes to cheer him up.

As they walked in, Hibari's eyes landed on an aquarium of colorful fish. Without missing a beat, Hibari said, "I think I want fish."

Dino knocked his palm on his forehead, letting out an exasperated laugh.

"You're impossible, Kyoya."
