Chapter 24- The Race Against Time
"You're dating Takara?" Tenten asks.
"How long have you been together?" Naruto asks.
"I don't blame you for liking her Neji. Takara is pretty hot," Kiba says.
"Shut up, Kiba!" Neji yells. "Call her beautiful, not hot."
Kiba chuckles. "You know I'm right." Akamaru whines.
"Guys, we shouldn't pester Neji with all these questions right now," Sakura says.
"Thank you, Sakura," Neji says. Neji then sighs.
"Are we almost there yet?" Naruto asks.
"Ew, look at that creepy building down there!" Ino says while pointing.
Everyone looks down to see the building that Ino's talking about. Sai looks at the map then guides the bird down lower. Neji and Hinata use their byakugan to see if anybody is nearby.
"I'm seeing 4 people in there," Hinata says. "Takara is alive everyone!"
Neji's eyes go back to normal. "That doesn't make any sense..."
"What does not make sense, Neji?" Lee asks.
"I killed Hiroshi and Eito, but Eito is in there," Neji says and closes his eyes.
"Who?" Tenten asks.
"Hiroshi, Eito, Leiji, and Leitangi are her abusers," Neji says with his eyes still closed.
"Hiroshi, Eito, Leiji, and Leitangi?" asks Shikamaru. "You do realize that their names are an acronym for hell, right?"
Everyone sits there shocked.
"That can't be a coincidence," Kiba says.
"Okay everyone listen up," Sakura says. "We need a plan to get Takara out of there alive-"
"Count me in! There won't be any doubts of getting Takara out alive!" says a familiar voice.
Everyone looks over to see who spoke.
"Octopops! What are you doing here?" Naruto asks excitedly.
"Takara's been kidnapped again and I'm here to save her. Give me a cheer!" Bee says.
"Oh brother...," Tenten says.
"She's in that building," Neji tells Bee.
"Why do you care about saving Takara?" Tenten asks Bee.
"Did Takara not mention that I took her in and saved her life?" Bee asks.
Everyone except Neji and Naruto look at each other in confusion.
"I knew!" Naruto says with a big grin. "She told me you two wrote songs together!"
Sakura punches the back of Naruto's head. "We have a possibly dying girl that needs us! Stop chit chatting with Bee!"
Just then, Shino has 2 insects on his hand. "Okay you two listen up." Everyone looks over at Shino. Shino looks at the female bug. "I want you to find Takara in there and attach yourself to her so we can keep an eye on her." Shino then looks at the male bug. "And I want you to scope out the situation and report back to me." Shino then releases the two bugs.
"Perfect," Sakura says. "That will help a lot."
Everyone gets off the bird that Sai drew. They are on a cliff near the building. Neji looks around and imagines younger Takara being terrified seeing Yaketsuku on fire.
"Bastards...," Neji mumbles to himself.
"The female bug is on the back of Takara's head," Shino says. "Like Hinata said, Takara is alive, but in excruciating pain." Just then, the other male bug comes back to Shino. Shino listens to what the bug saw. "No one is guarding the doors... and there is a lot of blood. It's her blood."
Neji puts his head in his hands trying not to have a meltdown. "I swear if those bastards end up killing her…"
"Wait, no one is guarding the doors? Now's our chance, let's go!" Sakura shouts.
