Chapter 26
Gaara's Saving Hand
Neji holds onto Takara's hand as Takara sees someone else enter the basement. She has never seen this person and she has no idea if they are good or bad.
"W- Who are you? Are you going to hurt me?" Takara asks while still holding Neji's hand.
"Me?" asks the mysterious person.
"Gaara!" Bee calls out.
"Gaara?" Takara asks.
"I've heard of the missing 5 year old girl from the Leaf when I became the Kazekage. In fact, I was hoping that my village could find her," Gaara says. "But the Hokage informed me on everything."
"Gaara, come over here please," Neji says.
Gaara then runs over to Neji. Gaara looks at Takara. "Is this her?"
Neji nods. "Gaara, can you make your sand into something to hold up Takara?"
"I can," Gaara says. "Sand levitation!"
Gaara then has sand come out from his sand gourd. He has the sand pick up Neji, Takara, Sakura, and himself.
"Let's get her outside," Gaara says.
"We're taking her outside!" Sakura calls out to everyone fighting below.
"Okay!" Choji calls out. "SUPER EXPANSION JUTSU!"
Choji expands and starts to roll towards Eito. Gaara transports Neji, Takara, Sakura, and himself outside. Gaara slowly flies them away from the building. Neji lays Takara down and Sakura tries to heal her.
"Just... let me die," Takara says.
"No way," Sakura says.
"But... I...," Takara says and slowly starts to fade out.
"Takara?" Sakura asks.
"She's dying!" Neji says.
"Damn it...," Sakura mumbles to herself. "I said I would do it again if I have to."
Sakura then cuts open Takara and puts her hand inside her body. She then starts pumping Takara's heart.
"I wish I had Ino here to help me," Sakura mumbles under her breath.
"Do you want me to go get her?" Gaara asks.
"We should go straight to a hospital," Neji says.
"There isn't a hospital anywhere near here!" Sakura says.
"Then Gaara should fly us there quicker!" Neji says with a hint of anger in his voice.
"I'll get there as soon as I can. I can only go so quick," Gaara explains.
While flying, Neji, Sakura, and Gaara hear an explosion. The 3 look back and see part of the building in rubble. Leiji throws the rubble off himself and tries to escape.
"Do it now, Octopops!" Naruto calls out.
Then, Bee forms into the 8 tails. Naruto joins Bee and turns into the 9 tails.
"Damn," Sakura says.
"If only Takara could see this," Neji says while still holding her hand to her almost lifeless body.
"But we'll be able to tell her soon," Sakura says.
Neji then leans down and kisses Takara's forehead. "I really hope so... I really love Takara."
