Prologue

Grotesque, hostile creatures have invaded many large human cities. They seem to be trying to take over the world and enslave the people. It is not known what they want to do after conquering. Turn them into their own kind? The only thing that is certain is that they must be stopped quickly before their destructive work progresses any further...

In order to achieve that purpose, a team of technically skilled scientists came together to create defense robots to stop these monsters. Construction plans were drawn up, all kinds of tests were carried out and experiments were conducted on an unprecedented scale. The result is located in a production hall not far from the laboratory where the project has begun; the location must be kept a secret for security reasons.

The robots discussed above are masterpieces of engineering. They are human-like to such an extend in their body language and movements that you might feel a little strange keeping them company. Their mechanical nature is barely hinted by the soft whirring noises they make. Their metallic inner „life" is concealed beneath suits. On a stately body, often somewhat larger than that of a human, there is a correspondingly large surveillance camera that replaces the head. Human heads are complicated to design, as our faces are so uniquely made that many androids look very strange and sometimes even creepy. We call that factuality the uncanny valley.

It doesn't really emerge from the documents filed by the team of scientists why these particular devices have been mounted on the robotic bodies, but they make for an apt look. Later, other hardware objects will also serve as the heads of similar robots.

The first machine to leave the production hall was such a cameraman, as these androids are called. It was probably completed in December 2022 and had no combat experience at that time. It was accustomed to humans and their behavior and trained to be a dependable soldier.

At the time the humanoid robot was sworn in as a soldier, for example, some late adjustments were made to the charging and oiling process so that the prototype could "drink" oil (pour it into a small "tank opening" in the front of the cut-out) and charge faster. Something like sleeping is essential due to the high CPU power.
It will be one of many defense robots designed to protect humans against the bizarre attackers. The robot is listed as Cameraman_001 in the government's military directory. This is important because the machines have not yet been given names. And because our cameraman has the most experience with this due to his training, he will keep a logbook of the events of the war.

For those who are interested in the technical data and features, the prototype is about 1.75 m tall, cannot speak, of course, and has particularly sharp vision thanks to his lens. He is wearing a black suit, a white undershirt, a black tie and pants, shoes and gloves in the same color. Unfortunately, it was not possible to find out the type designation of the machine, but the inscription "TX-5" can be seen on the camera; this term will therefore appear in the machine's name.

The cameraman will still get updates, depending on how well he does in battle. The imminent existence of a whole army of such robots will please the mechanical engineering and spare parts industries, the weapons industry, the oil and waste oil companies and, to a lesser extent, the electricity producers. But there is no alternative, and the new "soldiers" will soon prove to be wonderful comrades, almost the better people. You can observe a Christian esteem among them that is probably rarely found among humans; moreover, if they are programmed correctly, crime is out of the question. Furthermore, it would be difficult to track them down, as the members of the Alliance (an umbrella term for all these machine soldiers) have no DNA due to their "nature" and are often identical to one another.
