I was a fan of the Karate Kid when it came out in 2010. I decide to write a friendship between Dre and Cheng.

Chapter 1: Friendship

At the apartment. Dre is laying down in the couch watching cartoons. He is out of school so his leg still hurts after what Master Ali's students break his leg.

"I have my keys. Okay Dre, I am going to work. You are out of school so you can get your leg to get better soon. Just rest. Don't go anywhere." Sherry said.

"Okay mom. I got it." Dre said.

"I love you." Sherry said.

"I love you too." Dre said.

Sherry leaves the apartment and start heading to work. Dre is watching SpongeBob Squarepants, Looney Tunes, The Amazing World Of Gumball, and Th Fairy OddParents. After watching cartoons, Dre turns off the tv andwent to sleep. After three hours of sleep, Dre finally woke up and turn on the tv to watch cartoons. He heard a knock on the door. Dre got out of the couch to answer the door. Peering through the peephole, he was shocked to find it was Cheng who stood outside. The two were no longer enemies and they become friends since the tournament. Cheng decides to become Dre's friend after he defeated him in the tournament and Dre earned Cheng's respect. Dre opened the door.

"Hi Dre, how are you doing?" Cheng asked him.

"Hi Cheng, I am doing good. How about you?" Dre asked.

"I am doing good. Can I come in?" Cheng asked.

"Sure." Dre said as he let Cheng in.

"How is your leg?" Cheng asked him.

"The leg is getting better actually." Dre said.

"Great." Cheng said.

"How was school?" Dre asked him.

"It was good." Cheng answered.

"Great." Dre said.

"Dre, I'm so sorry for bullying you and hurting you. I was jealous." Cheng said.

"Hey, it's cool. I know you were jealous but I am not interested in Meiying anymore. We are just friends." Dre said.

"I do like her before I met you." Cheng said.

"You do." Dre said.

"Yeah our parents was very close. I had a crush on her." Cheng said.

"Awwww, you got to tell her your true feelings for her." Dre said.

"I will eventually. What if she don't like me back." Cheng said in a worried tone.

"You never know if you try." Dre said.

"Okay Dre. You are the best. See you later." Cheng said as he hand shake Dre. They hugged each other.

"See you later Cheng." Dre said as he open the door. Cheng exits Dre's apartment.

Dre smiles that he and Cheng become friends.
