As the group was heading back to Rogueport, Mario's Mailbox SP had went off. Mario pulled the device out of his pocket, confused. Who would be emailing him? Mario opened the email he got and read it aloud.

He read, "My Dearest Mario, I sent this letter in hopes that it reaches you and Luigi safely. I am being held against my will in some strange place. Violet has been sent to another location after she was trying to defend me. Though I do not know where I am, I remain unharmed and in relative comfort. Those who have captured us seem to be after the map we had sent earlier. They may be hoping to use it to find objects they call the 'Crystal Stars'. I do not know what they are planning, but I have a feeling it is not anything positive. Mario, please collect these Crystal Stars before they do. You must! They are already aware that you two have the map, so please be very careful. And please, don't worry about me. Please find Violet! -Princess Peach."

Mario let out a sigh of relief but Luigi was still worried.

Koops perked up, changing the subject, "Princess Peach? Of the Mushroom Kingdom?"

Goombellla confirmed, "Yeah and sounds like she's okay."

Luigi pointed out, "Y - yeah but she said Vi wasn't..."

Mario placed his hand on his brother's shoulder and reassured, "Hey, you know as well as I do that Violet can take care of herself."

Luigi nodded, "I - I know you are right..."

Goombella stated, "But you know the only way to find Violet and save the princess is to return to Rogueport and go down in front of the Thousand Year Door."

Koops replied, "Yeah so it can show us the way to the next Crystal Star, right?"

To that, Goombella nodded. The group then started to head back to Rogueport again.

...

Once they got back to Rogueport, the group had went by a Toad shop, learning that the contact lens that they had ordered was finally in stock.

Koops raised a brow, "A contact lens?"

Goombella admitted, "It's a long story, to be honest."

Luigi told him, "Once we give it to Greg, we'll be able to go west of here."

Mario stated, "Let's give this to him now so it's one less thing for us to worry about."

With that, the group went over Greg.

He huffed, "Got my contact lens, Mr. Squishy?"

Mario answered, "Got it right here."

That's when Mario gave him the contact lens.

Greg put it in and replied, "A contact lens! Oh, sweet relief! Thank you! Finally, the world is crisp and clear again! I can see! Oh! I'm so happy!" He walked back over to his store but before he went in, "Be careful from now on. People don't like their stuff stomped on!"

Greg had went back into his store. Koops had sweatdropped.

Koops asked, "Uh...should I ask?"

Goombella answered, "We'll explain on the way to the Thousand Year Door."

Luigi stated, "Yeah, come on."

As they headed to the Thousand Year Door, they explained to Koops what happened earlier.

...

Once they got down to the Thousand Year Door, Mario and Luigi stood on the middle platform. They held up the Crystal Star. The platform started to glow blue once again. The blue lights came out in front, around, and on the floor. The map came out of Mario's pocket as a bunch of silver stars seemed to go into it again. The map kept going higher and higher above the brothers until a white light from the heavens descended on the map. When the brothers were able to open their eyes, they saw the map. There was a giant vine in the center of the map. A silver star formed and the map vibrated.

Koops was stunned, "T - that was beautiful!" He looked at the map and admitted, "But I don't know where that is."

Goombella took a look too as she replied, "Neither do I."

Luigi suggested, "Maybe the professor wou

Mario replied, "More than likely. Let's go to his back to the house then."

The group nodded as they headed back to Professor Frankly's house.

...

Once they got to Professor Frankly's house, they introduced him to Koops. Mario brought out the map for the professor to look at.

He said, "Hrmm... Mmmm... Hmm..." He closed his book, "I see, I see. Crystal clear!"

Everyone groaned at his pun.

Goombella admitted, "Bad pun, professor. But where is this one located?"

Professor Frankly sheepishly chuckled as he cleared his throat, "It's in the Boggley Woods. The second Crystal Star is inside a great tree there."

Koops breathed, "A great tree?"

Professor Frankly confirmed, "Yes...and if I am correct, there is some odd creatures live there."

Luigi asked, "O - odd?"

Professor Frankly nodded as he brought out a picture for them to look at. Luigi gulped. Mario saw this and gave Luigi a smile, to reassure him. Luigi smiled back.

The professor added, "If memory serves, there's a pipe beneath town that leads to these woods."

Mario told him, "Got it but I did get an email from the princess earlier." Professor Frankly perked up. Mario stated, "She said that whoever kidnapped her and Violet know and after the Crystal Stars too."

Goombella added, "Plus she doesn't know where she is."

Koops further added, "And Violet had been sent away. So she has no idea where she is either."

Luigi was really worried about Violet. They hadn't been separated like this, at least not this long. He knew that she could handle herself but...

"Weegie?"

Luigi perked up, seeing his brother there. "Sorry, Malleo. Did you say something?"

Mario replied, "The professor is worried about those people that are also after the Crystal Stars."

Luigi admitted, "I - I am too but I'm also worried about Violet and Peach."

Mario told him, "I am too. But I know Peach will be okay. So will Violet."

Luigi responded, "I hope you are right, fratello. But you know as well as I do, the Toads might look down on Peach more."

Mario sighed sadly, "I know. But Toadsworth doesn't want her defending herself in the slightest. He said princesses don't do that."

Luigi raised a brow, "He did? When?"

Mario took a minute before he finally explained, "Well, remember my trip to Isle Definio?" When Luigi nodded, Mario continued, "When Peach was captured by Junior, I told Toadsworth having Peach learn basic self defense might help cut down on the kidnappings. But he straight out refused."

Luigi was surprised, "Wow, no wonder why you were furious."

Mario confirmed, "Yeah cause we won't be around her 24/7, we have lives of our own. Peach and I would like to get married and have children in the future but it would be better if she wasn't totally defenseless."

Luigi agreed, "Especially when Violet and I get married and have kids too. Cause I don't want a world where I lose you most of all. Especially with Bowser ending your game.

Mario placed a hand on his brother's shoulder, smiling. He promised, "Hey, won't happen. You are stuck with me for life, fratello."

Luigi teased, "That sounds something you would tell Peach, not me."

Mario pretended to be mad, "Hey, what's that supposed to mean?"

Luigi teased further, "You know exactly what it means..."

Luigi was laughing as he said that but he knew that Mario had meant those words. But something in the back of mind was telling him otherwise.

Wishmaker1028: I thought I would focus more on the brothers in this chapter. This seems to flow a lot better. So we are done with chapter 15. Please read and review! And always think outside of the box!
