Disclaimers: I do not own My Hero Academia, Dungeons and Dragons, or Pathfinder.
A/N: Be aware that the next three chapters are only the first half of the update.
Okay, so I didn't really want to release this chapter because I wasn't done with the next update but seeing how I haven't update in over a month, I felt like one was due. But since this chapter ran away from me, I had to split it in two since it was over 22000 words long.
Also for everyone's information this peculiar chapter doesn't have much action. Instead it has character insight for some of the girls. This chapter and the next take place over the course of one full day but I'll try to avoid doing this again in the future; there was just a a lot happening in this timeframe in plot-wise and character development wise.
There is a small action scene between Himiko and Itsuka but that's about it. The main fighting scene I have is at the end of the second half of the update (which isn't done yet) which will end the Beach Training Session and kickstart the Ryukyu's Agency training.
T he first part of this chapter is also a bit of recapping to help speed the story along just so everyone is aware.
Chapter 20
Training and Testing
"A dragon rarely has to "train" for battle, at least in the physical aspects of it. They are the epitome of raw power and fury so few beings can hope to stand against them."
- Eriric Gardenhomes, human dragon professor at the Royal Academy in the Kingdom of Edenvale.
It has been nearly five weeks since Izuku and the others started training together and while progress was slow it was getting somewhere. Momo had added Vlad King, who wanted to be address as Mr. Kan since he was technically off-duty, and Himiko to the group chat and while this was a good idea on paper, it quickly turn into a nightmare as the girl started sending pictures of middle fingers and other rude gestures to Itsuka and along with a mountain of flirty texts, pictures, and calls to Izuku. After three days of this, she was given the ultimatum by Vlad King to behave or get her phone privileges taken away.
She begrudgingly agreed to cease and desist though not without sending one last middle finger to Itsuka and one last flirty pic to Izuku.
Moving on, the training arena was taking a little bit longer to make than expected, especially since Melissa and Mei kept seeing the need to create and add more gimmicks to it and they were running out of material to use since the cleaning process was going so well. Anyway, everyday those two were coming up with new ideas and new ways to modify said ideas with both girls aiding the other in coming up with solutions to get around any roadblocks either of them ran into. What might seems impossible for one of them was easily fixable when the two of them put their minds together, with Mei doing the mechanical stuff while Melissa handle the electronic and wiring.
Izuku later discover that this was not due to the fact Mei was bad at electronic or Melissa at mechanical as they were both still geniuses in those regards, it was just that they excel far better in those respective field in comparison to the other.
Anyway, despite the fact that more and more trash was getting cleaned up everyday, the duo always manage to find just the parts they needed to make their gizmos work and Izuku found himself amaze everyday by their achievements and it was something he vocalize everyday to the both of them as well as aiding them in developing new gadgets as best he could.
Even Vlad King was impress and said that Power Loader, the overall manager of the Support Department at U.A., was going to have his hands full with those two if they were put in the same class on the basis that they were doing all this with just the junk that people threw away and he could not wait to see what they will be able to accomplish with a fully functional and fully-stocked support equipment workshop.
Speaking of a fully functional and stock workshop, Vlad King provided the six teenagers with "experimental" gym uniforms that he had Power Loader create. The experimental part came from that, despite their appearance, they were insulated with a new leather material which could absorb blows to a high degree and still protect the user while feeling no heavier than normal clothes. To quote the Evacuation Hero, it would be the equivalent of wearing the strongest armor from the Sengoku Period and while it would not hold up well against a heavy blow it would still be able to provide great protection during sparing.
The Blood Hero stated that Power Loader owed him a favor and he asks for the uniforms to be made so injuries would be severely reduce during the beach training sessions. He then also stated that they could be wash like a regular uniform and that they were theirs to keep. If anything the only downside was the fact that because they were being used by non-U.A. students they did not bear the standard color pattern of the school itself and instead had a reverse design of it.
Within ten minutes of examining it though, Melissa and Mei were easily able to point out half a dozen different way to improve on it.
On another note for the American, she eventually let Ryuko in on her activities at the beach, including Izuku getting combat training. She told this to the boy but promise to not to say anything about him using his transformations to the heroine though in honestly, Izuku figure that sooner or later the Dragoon Hero would be asking Melissa questions about where she went off to every day, so he was not surprise in the least, though he wanted to hold off on telling the heroine about the transformations for as long as possible.
If only he knew the truth.
Though if anything, it actually help the group out in a way since Ryukyu then allowed Melissa to bring along a bag of her Yui's Healing Scales vials along with other medical supplies as well as instructions on how to properly administer them in order to make sure no seriously injures occur during their sessions. This, on top of the medical training that Yui started to provide her once the girl got back to the agency to further aid her, made the westerner the unofficial nurse of the group.
Meanwhile, Izuku found himself dealing with two issues from within the Dragonscape.
The first one was locating the next dragon. Nefer had inform him that they felt a presence of a powerful great wyrm and that she, Hunluan, Buraee, and Licitum were constantly searching to find it but she also mention that the presence they felt was that of a brass dragon, the weakest of the metallic dragons. Izuku was relieved by this because it meant that it was another good dragon he could call upon beside the copper dragon instead of the savage white or malicious black dragon which was another reason he was still a bit wary about transforming.
The second thing was because he was also still waiting on Dogal, who stayed behind in the Hall of Essence while the others did their search, was still trying to figure out a way for Izuku to connect on a deeper level with the dragons he already had in order to unlock their special abilities. The neutral dragon states that having these abilities available to him would be quite the boon.
Yes, Izuku was happy that he now had a Pro Hero like Vlad King who had no problem with him transforming but the fact that it was taking so long for either two of these issues to be resolve was starting to worry him and until it was, Izuku was having second thoughts about using his transformation, which did nothing to appease Mei who was constantly badgering him to do so as she wanted to test her babies.
On the somewhat bright side though his fighting training was…..coming along in a way.
If he had to rank who needed the most fighting training out of him, Itsuka, and Momo it would be as follow.
Momo could beat him with her bo staff with her eyes closed while Itsuka could beat him with both arms tied behind her back and while hopping on one leg and still be able to use said hopping leg to kick his ass.
While also blindfolded….with earmuffs on.
He was not even going to get started with Himiko since she spend the same amount of time flirting with him as she did actually fighting him, which piss-off Vlad King to no end, but he himself has still yet to actually beat the girl or come even close to doing so in a spar.
To make sure she was fighting at her fullest though, Momo created a pair of extremely dull knives that could not penetrate the human body no matter how much force Himiko use. At the end of every training session, these knives were personally taken by Vlad King who kept them on his person until the next session just in case.
Nevertheless, Vampire Girl, which Itsuka had taken to calling Himiko, to which she named the martial artist Gorilla Fist in respond, ran circles around all of them in the first week.
Himiko's Quirk, Transform, as Izuku was told by Vlad King had what quirk scientists called a sub-quirk within it possibly to make up for the drawback of needing to drink blood.
Fun fact about Transform: Only Vlad King has seen it in action and he is very restrictive on Himiko using it.
This sub-quirk seem to be the reason why Himiko was so dangerous as her body was in a constant state of adrenaline rush and while this would be fatal for a normal person, Himiko's quirk seem to greatly regulated it and thus no ill effects would occur within her. This allow her to have faster reflexes, greater speed and agility, along with heighten senses at all times while also allowing her to ignore pain to a certain degree.
While she was not superhuman, she was still leaps and bounds beyond what people thought she was capable of with her petite body.
A body that she went to great measures to ensure that Izuku's eyes were always watching it.
Another special trait of her was the ability to basically vanish from sight if no one was directly looking at her. Vlad King has stated that this was done through the girl holding her breath and "clearing her mind" as long as no one was looking directly at her, and even to Izuku's enhance senses she was difficult to track in midst of a sparring if she was able to pull it off. She was not super stealth or anything to Izuku but one moment he be looking at a spot, turn away for a second, and when he turn back she was right there, sometimes right in front of him.
How Mei did it was consider unexplainable.
How Himiko did it was consider supernatural.
Whether or not this was a part of her quirk has also yet to be determine since, according to Himiko herself, her parents did not let her see a quirk specialist since that would have led to more people knowing about her quirk, something they did not want to happen.
Finally, the girl seems to have an "instinctual" style of fighting which allow her to catch people off-guard as her moves were hard to predict and she relied more on gut feelings for types of attack instead of any type of logic. It also did not help that she had actual experience in taking on trained combatants but this was the reason Momo picked her to spar with.
Unsurprisingly, Himiko took more joy out of fighting Itsuka than she did fighting Momo or Izuku. With the heiress, it was nothing personal and she simply treated it as a job more than anything, she even gave her some pointers every now and then. With Izuku, it was more fun for her and she loved catching him offguard with her comments on how cute he looks and such which had the boy bright red before the first attack even happened.
But her fights with Itsuka were far more personal for her since there was so much tension between the two of them. The feeling was mutual for the martial artist and everyday promise another argument from the two girls; although everyone, including Vlad King, was surprise to learn that the two of them were basically on the same level in terms of close-quarters combat, just in different styles of fighting.
Himiko's style was heavily depended on her constantly moving around and never facing an opponent for too long since she lacked the overall durability to take hits well. Therefore, she needed wide open spaces to utilize her superior speed and agility which worked perfectly with her "knives" as she wield them effortlessly in a way the would make a seasoned tantojutsu practitioner look like an amateur.
Itsuka, on the other hand, excel in fighting an opponent for a period of time, plus in the same way that Izuku analyze quirks, the orange-haired girl could analyze a person's fighting style and find a way to counter it. This took far longer to do than Izuku with quirks but by the second week she was able to put Himiko on the defensive and eventually get on even ground with her. It also helped that while the Itsuka lacked the level speed and agility that Himiko possess she made up for it with her strength and her reflexes which were honed from years of training in the martial arts, and even with her opponent wielding "knives" she was able to avoid getting hit half the time while hitting back in return.
Without the use of her quirk of course which took a lot of convincing on Izuku's part to get her to agree to and many a times Vlad King still had to intervene when things got too heated between the two girls.
Everyday their rivalry grew and grew to the point that Itsuka and Himiko were having their own little one-on-one duels which seem to happen a lot more often as time went on.
To make sure that they would not take too long in their fights and risk serious injury, Vlad King would give them a time limit of a minute to fight and count the number of hits that were landed on each of them during that time. The one who landed the most hits won.
So far there has been seven of these duels and the score was currently three wins for Itsuka, three wins for Himiko, and one tie between them and that was due to each of them landing the same amount of hits on each other within the time limit.
During one of Momo's schedule breaks, Izuku had a conversation with the Blood Hero and the older male convey to the boy that the girls' rivalry, despite the level of hostility still between them, was actually helping the two get better since each one was constantly pushing themselves in order to one up the other. Izuku found himself agreeing with this since Himiko has started exercise with him, Itsuka, and Momo. At first she was content to just sit back and watch them while making flirting remarks to him, but after losing to Itsuka for the first time she was right alongside them the next day in their work-out routine. Vlad King had even told him that she has now even working out and training at the house and whenever he came home for lunch, she was covered in sweat.
Vlad King then made the mistake of making a joke to the girl that if he did not know any better, he would have thought that Himiko and Itsuka were on the path to almost becoming friends.
This got him cuss out by the girl in respond.
Though despite four weeks almost going by, Itsuka's attitude toward the Pro Hero/teacher has not improve in the slightest with the girl avoiding contact with him if she could and frankly not talking to him. Whenever Vlad King would critique her or give her a tip that could help her, he might as well had been talking to a wall with the reaction he got out of her which was nothing.
Last but not least there was Momo, who, unlike Itsuka, went to Vlad King for advice constantly in-regards to fighting.
She was the first to admit that while she too has been trained by professional bo-staff masters that her parents hired and even a bit by Ryukyu, she never actually fought the Dragoon Hero for outside of light sparring and the professionals avoided going too hard on her for fear of hurting her and having to deal with her parents. Plus, while she was the reigning bukijustu national champions for teenage girls, three years running, she confessed that was not really a lot of competition for her in that field and she feels that she might have stagnate a bit so she was doing everything she could to get an edge.
Therefore, one of the first pieces of advice the Blood Hero gave her was simple; if you specialize in weapons combat then make sure you always have said weapon at the ready because you will not always have time to do so. She did this by following Izuku's advice and learning to create her bo staff from her hand as oppose to her chest. This took some getting used to but after two weeks of practice she got it down to where she could go from having no staff to creating a full-length staff from her palm in four seconds with her previously record being seven.
On one final note for Izuku, in an effort to have some semblance of privacy, he was able to convince the alignment dragons to stop reading his thoughts though this was only to a fair degree as Dogal explain that his surface thoughts were instantly rely to them but they would avoid looking any deeper into his mind if they could.
Hunluan and Buraee had no problem with this since, as they put it, already knew all of the boy's deepest and darkest secrets.
All and all, everything was going smoothly at the "improvise training" though soon enough Izuku would find himself dealing with his first major obstacle in the Dragonscape.
31st of May
Momo found herself sitting on the stairs staring at the soda can place next to her by Izuku, who was sitting on the other side of it. Melissa and Mei were currently discussing some new improvements to an invention they were working on while Himiko and Itsuka were each getting ready for their upcoming sparring match.
Finally, Vlad King himself seem be reading over a training manual of some sorts.
"Explain this again, if you will, Midoriya", she says as she looks over at him.
"Well, you see Yaoyorozu, I believe that if you are capable of creating objects and pulling them out of your body because you know what they're made of, then you might be capable of putting objects into your body and converting them into fat cells in the same manner or at the very least destroying them", Izuku says, "This could allow you to get through doors by destroying the doorknobs or even getting rid of dangerous material such as explosives."
"That is an interesting theory, but I am not so sure that it is as easy as you believe it to be", Momo says.
"Well, I'm assuming you know what a soda can is made of, right?", Izuku asks.
"The main body of the average soda can is made up of aluminum alloy 3004 while the ends are made up of aluminum alloy 5182 and the inside are coated with an epoxy resin", Momo shoots off, "Though some can be made from tin-plated steel."
Izuku finds himself raising an eyebrow at this, causing Momo to slightly blush.
"My apologies", she says, "I have a tendency to ramble off what materials make up an item sometimes."
"That's actually pretty impressive. It's almost like you don't need your Yaoyorictionary", Izuku laughs.
Momo looks away in embarrassment and whispers something under her breath. Unfortunately for her, the boy's enhance hearing heard it all.
"You don't actually need your book?", Izuku says, repeating what he heard.
Momo whips her head back at him and her face now glowing red as she mentally berates herself for forgetting about Izuku's super hearing.
"W-Well, yes. I actually do not need it that much for I actually remember all the materials for a majority of my creations", Momo admits.
"Then why do you keep it around?", Izuku asks.
A smile dawns on Momo's face and she looks down at her hands.
"It was actually Ryukyu's idea", she then answers.
"Ryukyu?", Izuku says.
"Back when she first started to train with me, she insisted that I use something to keep track of everything I create and which I can use in the field if time permits just in case I actually do forget how to make something due to stress and whatnot", Momo says, "It was actually the first piece of advice she ever gave me."
"Oh….", Izuku says after awhile, "Yaoyorozu, may I ask you something?"
"You may", Momo answers as she turns to look at him.
"Why Ryukyu of all people? You could have easily gotten a recommendation from Endeavor, Hawks, any other Pro Heroes, possibly even All Might, with your Quirk, family name, and such but yet you pick the one Japanese Pro Hero who doesn't even consider herself Japanese", Izuku states, "And I'm just curious as to why."
Momo is quiet as she looks at Izuku with eyes of onyx. So quiet that for a moment the boy that he might have asks a personal question and offended her.
"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have ask that. Let's just for-", he starts to say.
"She stood up for her beliefs", Momo then answers.
"Excuse me?", Izuku asks.
"A lot of people, my family included, firmly believe that the Ryukyuans of Okinawa and its surrounding islands are not a minority group of the nation, but merely a subgroup of the Japanese people. Ryukyu is not only the first Pro Hero of Ryukyuan descent, she is also the first one non-Japanese Pro Hero to ever make the top ten of the rankings", Momo explains.
Izuku nods as he continue to listens.
"And I just so happen to be watching the very ranking when she made the upper echelons where she stated that she was merely a Ryukyuan Pro Hero serving in Japan and not a Japanese Pro Hero", Momo finishes.
"Her stating that got you, the heiress of the most prestigious Japanese family, to consider her as your hero school sponsor?", Izuku questions.
"I could not help but admire her bravery in that moment where she defended her heritage despite the backlash she got from the public and the HPSC", Momo recalls, "And so I kept watching her, kept up-to-date with all her resolve cases and public appearances. I must have been the most frequent visitor on her internet forum and social media pages. Truth be told, while my parents were not happy about me picking her for my recommendation, they were supportive….at least to a certain extent."
"What does that mean?", Izuku thought for a moment.
"As much as I enjoy the fact that you are taking time out of your day to learn more about Yaoyorozu, did you not have another purpose for her at this very moment?", Dogal says as he materialize behind the boy and looking directly down at him.
"I just want to learn her reasoning behind choosing Ryukyu", Izuku says back.
"And you have it so I suggest you get down to business", Dogal says before vanishing.
"Jeez, he's not as bad as the others but he has his moments", Izuku mentally grumbles before noticing Momo was now looking at him, "I'm sorry, I wasn't ignoring you or anything. I was deep in thought."
"Well you did look like you were having a conversation with yourself", Momo says.
"What?", came Izuku's response and he could feel his heartbeat rising, "W-What gave you take impression?"
"You were looking off in the distance a bit with your eyes glancing to the side every now and then", Momo starts to explain, "I also notice that your brow was slightly furrow and your head was slightly tilted."
….
"You have quite the eye for detail, Yaoyorozu", Izuku says after a moment of silence.
"My apologies, I did not mean to come off as rude", Momo says.
"It's fine, really", Izuku assures her, "I have to be more careful in the future. Can't have people thinking I'm crazy."
"So how do you want me to go about this?", Momo asks while gesturing to the can.
"Ah yeah, so first, can you please start the process to create something, preferably the soda can?", Izuku asks.
Momo holds out her left hand and a multicolored light hole appear in the middle of it.
"Now I just need you to maintain that for a moment. Are you able to do that without creating something?", he asks.
"I usually have to grab the object I'm creating or expel it myself for it to come out so it should be no problem for me" Momo answers as she begins to close her eyes and focus.
The blue and pink lights continue to dazzle the surroundings and Izuku takes the chance to take the tab off the top of the soda can and drops it in the girl's hand.
But strangely enough, it stop just short of actually hitting the light and simply hover above it in midair.
"Whoa….was not expecting this", Izuku says.
Momo places her finger on the tab and began pushes down on it and both her and Izuku were surprise to see that the tab did not move at all. She was able to wiggle it from side to side but not downward.
"How strange", Momo states, "It's like some invisible force is preventing me from pushing it down."
"Perhaps its a mechanism of your quirk which prevent objects from going back in", Izuku theorizes right before his hair turn blue and his eyes turn white, "May I give it a try?"
When Momo did not answer right away, Izuku looks up from looking at her hand to see that the girl seem to be memorizes by his sudden change in appearance.
"Sorry", he then says, "I forget that it's not often you see me use a boost up close since I don't use it when I spar."
"Oh no no no!", Momo says as she snaps to her senses, "I was quite rude for staring and I apologize for that."
"Well, I should have told you I was going to use a boost so you wouldn't be surprise. Sorry about that", Izuku then apologizes.
"By the GAWDS! Will you two get on with it already?! I didn't think it was possible, but your attempts at flirting are making me roll my eyes so hard they're about to fall out my head! I'm at the point where I don't care which girl you get with, just get with one already!", Hunluan groans as she appears, shaking her head in the process, "Okay that's a lie, I really want you to get with Hatsume but it would help if you stop with all these sad attempts at flirting!"
"For once I am in agreement with this weakling. Either fornicate with the girl, leave her to go and spend time with Toga and perhaps fornicate with her, or proceed on with your stupid experiment", Buraee then adds as he materializes alongside her.
"Now, now, you should not rush things. Whatever is happening between them needs to occur naturally even if I believe Midoriya's attention should be direct toward Melissa", Nefer joins in.
"I would prefer that he spar more with Kendou. By constantly spending time with her, you can built up a strong rapport with her", Licitum drops in to says.
"Everyone, please. Let the boy "cook" in peace", Dogal then states while doing the quotation marks with his fingers.
Izuku blocks them out while putting his finger down on the tab and began pressing down. Even with his his strength boosts he found himself unable to move the tab downward even an inch.
"Whatever force is preventing me from pressing downward, it's quite powerful, almost like a barrier", he eventually says as he relents from the effort before grabbing the rest of the soda can and attempt the same thing. Between Izuku's increased strength and Momo's "barrier" the can instantly flatten while not moving a inch downward.
"I never could push objects back into my body either if I was in the process of creating them. I had to either finish them or cut it off. Guess it only goes in one direction.", Momo concludes.
"I don't know about that. Perhaps we just got to find another way around it", Izuku says as his hair and eyes return to normal and he smiles at her, "Can't just give up now after just starting."
"I suppose you are right", Momo says before going quiet, something Izuku pick up on.
"Is something the matter?", he asks.
"Nothing, just thinking about something", Momo replies.
"Is it something I can help with?", Izuku asks, but before he could get a reply….
"Hey, Midoriya! Yaoyorozu!", a voice calls out and they both turn to see Vlad King calling over to them, "Toga and Itsuka are about to have their spar if you want to watch!"
"Oh, don't want to miss that", Izuku says as he got up and walks away, not noticing that Momo was watching him go.
Something that the heiress has found herself doing quite a bit of as of late.
For her entire life, the heiress has only ever attended the finest all-girl schools Japan had to offer so her interactions with boys her own age was limited only to family members and the sons of CEO's that her parents had set her up on "business dates" with. It was not a stretch by any means that Momo found all of those "dates" forgettable at best since she never really care to remember their names after the fact.
Midoriya was different thought. Polite, considerate, and maybe just a bit on the weird side. So it was not hard to see why Toga constantly flirted with him. But just because her interaction with teenage boys was limited did not mean that she did not know that she was consider a "catch" in their eyes in-regards to her body. The same body that got her ostracized by other teenage girls at her schools.
But so far she has yet to catch Izuku staring too long at her body. She is keenly aware that even in the tracksuit she fills out nicely but whenever she talks to Izuku his eyes always stay up, looking at hers.
In fact, she notice that he did that with all the girls and while every now and then she caught him glancing every now and then at the others, he was not leering.
In fact the only time he ever stare too long was when Toga was blatantly trying to make him look….which she did quite a lot.
"Midoriya is an interesting person and, surprisingly, a gentleman...to a degree", Momo thought before looking back down at her hand that was still in "creation mode" and the soda can that was still floating above it. She then ceases her quirk and lets it fall into her hand.
"I didn't think I learn something new about my quirk today" she says to herself before shaking her head and correcting herself, "I did not. I did not think I learn something new about my quirk today."
She then stands up and moves to follow the green-haired boy.
A few minutes later, both Itsuka and Himiko face one another from across the beach staring each other down. Himiko was armed with her two dull knives, poise ready to strike while Itsuka was poise in a stance that she said was of the Goju-ryu style of karate.
Meanwhile Izuku, Momo, Melissa, and Mei were all seating at the table watching them.
Or moreso, the first three were watching while Mei was tinkering with a gizmo.
"Ready?", Vlad King says, stopwatch in hand as he stood in between the both of them.
"Hurry up and start, old man. I've been itching for another match", Himiko says.
"So have I for I always look forward to a chance to put you face in the sand", Itsuka says.
"Didn't know your quirk also included having a big mouth. But I bet with those big hands you give great handj-"
"Begin!", Vlad King shouts.
Himiko is the first one to take off, sprinting toward with her knives position out on her sides and getting low while doing so meanwhile Itsuka just stood there waiting.
As soon as the proficient knife wielder got close enough though, the orange-haired girl struck, lashing out with a kick aimed at Himiko's upper body. In response to this, the blonde girl leaps over the attack, front-flipping over Itsuka in the process and landing behind her. Once she touches the ground though, she instantly spins around and lunges at her opponent with a knife thrust aimed for the gut.
Itsuka quickly jumps back, barely getting out of reach of Himiko's strike.
Letting out a grunt in annoyance, Himiko once again launches herself at Itsuka who was ready for her this time. Just as the blonde got in range with her knives prepare to strike, the martial artist swiftly hits her with a punch to her chest causing her to stop and stagger back a bit, the track suit's cushion softening the blow.
"You bitch!", hiss the girl.
"Look likes first point goes to me", Itsuka says with a grin.
Himiko narrows her eyes in a glare and readies herself, this time with more determination.
"Too bad that's going to be the only point you're going to get.", she spats.
This prompts Itsuka to scowl.
"We'll see about that", she then says before jumping at Toga, her fist cock back and ready to strike.
Himiko weaves to the left to avoid the punch and makes another attempt to thrust her knife into Itsuka's gut. The other girl sees this and her other hand instantly lashes out to grab Himiko's wrist, stopping the blade only mere centimeters from touching her stomach. But before she could mentally congratulates herself she felt something touching her neck and she looks to see the butt of the knife handle pressing into it.
"Looks like the second point goes to me now, doesn't it? Or did you suddenly forget that I'm dual wielding?", Himiko asks with a smile.
Itsuka lets out a huff of air through her nose in frustration before letting go of Himiko and jumping away from her.
"Why did you only use the handle?", she then asks.
"Just wanted to show you that if this was a serious fight, you would be bleeding out on the ground right now just like all those sidekicks and police officers I fought.", Himiko answers.
Itsuka just starts silently at Himiko for a moment before adopting defensive stance.
This pique Himiko's interest for she thought for sure that the martial artist would take the bait and attack her out of anger, which is what she wanted.
"Guess she's not as dumb as she looks", Himiko thought as she takes off, sprinting at her "rival".
Once in range she went straight for the neck, a tempting target to which she made a slashing attempting at which Itsuka leans back out of the way of and, in response, the girl delivers a kick with her right leg that Himiko barely manages to evade and said leg went straight into the air. Seeing an opening, the knife-wielder shoots forward, fully prepared to get a strike in on Itsuka while she was off-balance.
Or at least she thought the other girl was off-balance while standing on one foot.
Itsuka then, while maintaining perfect balance, brings her leg back down, fully intent on striking her opponent with the heel of her foot.
"Fuck!", Himiko mentally curses before bringing her arms above her head in an effort to block the attack.
Itsuka's attack connect and Himiko felt a sharp pain in her left arm which she use to block the strike.
She then feel the foot lift off her arm but before she could react, pain course through her gut as Itsuka spins around deliver a kick with her left leg straight into it and, once more, the cushioning of the experimental track suit keeps her from receiving the full blunt of it.
"Three to one so far", Itsuka comments, "Have you gotten sloppy?"
Himiko does not answer and merely looks at Itsuka with her knives at the ready and a cold emotionless look in her eyes.
Right before she surges forward.
Next thing the orange-haired girl knew she was dodging a storm of slashes and stabs; one which connects on her left shoulder and another that hits her right thigh.
"Damn it!", Itsuka curses as she readies a punch to deliver to Himiko's face. In response to this, the messy blonde aim a knife thrust right at the other girl.
"Time!", Vlad King then shouts.
Both girls stop at the sound of this. Itsuka's fist was hovering directly in front of Himiko's nose while the tip of the dirty blonde's knife was less then a hair from touching the center of the orange-hair girl's chest.
Both girls regard one another for a moment with a cold glare before directing their attention to the Pro Hero.
"What do you mean time?", Itsuka says
"Yeah, no way that was one minute!", Himiko says.
"Actually it was", Vlad King says while walking up to the girls and showing them the stopwatch display, "If you two didn't stop to chat it up then you would have had more time."
"We didn't even talk that much!", Himiko points out.
"True, you didn't. But you shouldn't be talking at all in a fight unless you're a hero telling a criminal to surrender", Vlad King counters, "Unlike movies, TV shows, and other stuff, most fights between criminals and pro heroes rarely have lengthy dialogue about morals, ideologies, or whatever they show nowadays. The only time a pro hero should ever talk with a villain during a fight is if they're buying time or telling them to surrender. You should also be aware taunting is a big no-no when fighting a villain for that might frustrated them to become more reckless and thus more of a danger not only to you but the surrounding area and people as well."
Himiko merely rolls her eyes at this "lecture" while Itsuka simply crosses her arms angrily.
"If neither one of you don't want to take my advice, fine", Vlad King says, "But you two, of all people, should know better that talking isn't a free action in a fight and your opponent is under no obligation to allow you the time to speak."
Himiko and Itsuka then regard one another with a glare before turning their heads away and looking opposite directions.
"Okay, I say it's time for lunch", Vlad King then states, "Also Toga, have Melissa take a look at that arm as well. It looks pretty bruise."
As the teacher/pro hero turns around to walk away, he misses the smug look Itsuka threw at Himiko and the middle finger the messy blonde gave in return.
It was now late in the afternoon and everyone was currently sitting at the table eating. Melissa once again brought food for everyone though Momo, as usual, had her own specially prepared meal to eat. Back when she started showing up, Melissa had offered to make her food as well, but the heiress insisted that she had to keep with her diet plan in order to maintain her fat cell levels though she did give Melissa some recommendations for meals that the others could eat in order for them to maintain a healthy diet as well to which the westerner prodigy was more than happy to oblige. Momo even went the extra mile and gave each of them a list to take back to their families on what meals to eat at home so they could maintain it.
Izuku notice that his mom was particularly happy about this list for some reason.
Also Izuku was smart enough not to point out that Momo seem to eat three times as much food as everyone else though he figure it had something to do with her quirk.
Besides he was awkward around girls afterward, not stupid.
Anyway, Izuku looks up from eating and notices that Himiko was nowhere to be seen. He turns his attention to a pile of old refrigerators that were a distance away from the tables and spots the girl sitting beside them, eating her food while the scent of blood hits his nostrils. He has notice her do this every since day one of her and Vlad King joining them and figure it had something to do with her wanting to enjoy her meal in peace without having people stare at her while she drunk from her blood vial or pour it on her food.
Watching her eat all by herself did unfortunately remind the boy of his days at Aldera Junior High and elementary schools when no one would eat with him during lunch because he was quirkless at the time.
"Maybe I should ask if she wants to eat with us….once I grow a big enough pair to do so", he thought before noticing Momo using her quirk to pull a fork out of her arm and it was during this process that Izuku realize something.
"Yaoyorozu, your quirk creates a lot of light", he said, catching everyone's attention, including Himiko, who was now heading back.
"Is that an issue?", Momo asks.
"If you're patrolling on the streets, no, but I figure if you're about to do a raid at night or something along those lines and you have to create a weapon knowing that combat is more than likely going to happen, you could easily give away the element of surprise or even your location", Izuku explains while holding his chin in thought.
"Kid got a point there", Vlad King said without looking up from grading some papers. He was currently sitting a couple feet away, directly behind Himiko as a precaution, at an office desk that was thrown out yet still in near prime condition while in a chair that was only missing one of its armrest, "The element of surprise is crucial in a law enforcement's raid and giving it away could easily lead to disaster. That's why Pro Heroes whose costumes or quirks give off a lot of light, or even sound, are usually only put on day raids or not put on them at all."
Vlad King then lifts his head up and stares directly at Momo, "By the way, you should also think about learning unarmed combat as well. Pro Heroes who rely solely on their weapons, quirks, and equipment are usually the first to have their careers cut short."
…..
"Then what do you suggest, Mr. Kan?", Momo asks after a long uncomfortable silence.
"First, figure out how to deal with the issue that Midoriya brought up and then we'll focus on the hand-to-hand combat aspect", Vlad King states.
"I am somewhat proficient in the very basic of karate if that helps", Momo states.
"Well, that's a start at least. We'll focus on your hand-to-hand in the next combat session", Vlad King says before returning to his papers.
Momo nods at this before redirecting her attention back at Izuku.
"Do you have any suggestions for me in overcome my quirk producing light?", she asks.
"I mean not entirely, but you could simply just keep a bo staff out at all times", Izuku suggests.
"Yeah she could, but what if she has to get through a cramp space while in pursue of a villain and it don't fit? She could easily toss away and make another one later but then she might not have time to do so if the situation quickly turns bad", Itsuka adds in.
"Oh!", Izuku says as he snaps his fingers, "What about a collapsible staff?"
"A collapsible staff?", Momo repeats.
"Yeah, I read that there used to be an American group of heroes back in the early days of quirks called the X-Men and they had a member named Gambit who, along with using kinetic energy playing cards to blow things up, used a staff that could extend and retract whenever he put energy into it but it probably could still be done with a button or some type of mechanism", Izuku explains.
"Oh, that's actually an easy design", Mei says while eating a sandwich.
"It is?", Momo says.
"Oh, most definitely", Melissa added, "A number of Pro Heroes who come through I-Island always want collapsible weapons made for them there because can put so many of them on their person since they save space. Even my father does that type of work from time to time."
"Yeah, and my family's company has a whole sub-division dedicated to making stuff like that. From giant swords all the way to skateboards", Mei adds,.
"Really? I never knew that", Momo admits.
"Let me see your notebook so I can draw up the schematic for our top brand", Mei says.
"Oh, let me help", Melissa adds.
"Hey, I wanna see this", Itsuka says as she got up to come watch.
While Momo, Mei, Itsuka, and Melissa were doing that, Himiko notices that everyone's attention was somewhere else and that is when she took her chance. Whenever she was not sparring or arguing with Itsuka, she was flirting with Izuku. Her plan was to bit by bit, make Izuku feel more comfortable around her to the point that she could turn up the flirting a bit. And by a bit she meant getting a little more handsie.
And by a bit she meant bordering between PG-13 and rated R if this was movie.
"Hey, Izu-kun?", she said as she sits down in the chair directly across from him and looks at him with half open eyes. She then proceeds to lean down on the table toward him, making certain that her jacket was zip down just a bit in order to get the boy's undivided attention.
To which it did as his eyes find themselves immediately drawn to that specific location and his face instantly starts glowing red.
"Y-Y-Yes, Toga?", Izuku answers.
"Do you remember when we first met?", Toga asks in singing-tone.
"Y-Yeah, a-at Musutafu Hospital", Izuku somehow manages to answer, forcing himself to look her in the eyes, her rich golden eyes.
"That's right", Himiko said as she stood up and walked around the table until she was standing right next to him "Do you remember what was the first thing you ever said to me?"
"I-I-I-I-I", Izuku stammers out, causing Himiko to tilt her head in confusion.
"Holy crap, that was the first thing you said to me now that I recall", she says to herself before simply shrugging, "Oh well. Moving on."
Himiko then sat down on the table next to him, her golden eyes bearing down into his and going directly into his soul.
"Now do you remember what were the next two words were?", she then asks as she slowly started to put her tip-toe her fingertips across his right hand, which was still on the table, and up his arm.
"Y-Y-Yes, I said Vorel Rasvim", Izuku eventually answers after raking his brain for the details of that particular memory.
"Now, Izu-kun, I was a straight "A' student back in school, including English, but I don't believe I know what that means", Himiko says as she gets off the table and props her elbows up on it and uses her hands to hold her head up while looking at Izuku with puppy eyes, "Could you do little old me a favor and tell me?"
"Someone help me out here! I just said the first thing that came to mind that day!", Izuku mentally screams.
"Boy, what you told her was in draconic. Now repeat after me and you will be fine", Buraee says as he appears behind Himiko, "Vorel Rasvim means….
"Beautiful treasure", Izuku then answers.
Himiko founds herself blinking in confusion, not entirely sure that she heard the boy right.
"What?", she then asks.
"Vorel Rasvim means beautiful treasure", Izuku repeats, "Your eyes reminded me of pools of gold when I first looked into them so those words pop into my head for some reason and I meant for it to convey that your eyes are beautiful and they are a treasure to behold."
….
…..
…
"Sorry, I don't really know what language the words are, like I said it sort of just pop into my head", Izuku then apologies after the girl did not say anything.
Himiko could feel her own face starting to get hot and she knew that she was blushing even more than usual.
She then notice that it was suddenly quiet and she look around to see everyone else, including Vlad King, was staring at her and Izuku, their eyes widen in surprise.
Regaining her composure, Himiko turns back at Izuku who was still looking up at her.
"Aw, that's awfully sweet of you, Izu-kun", she replies before sitting down in a nearby chair.
Calm and collect on the outside but the inside though….
"Holy shit! He hit me with the one-hitter quitter! Has he always been this good of a flirt? If he was, why hasn't he been flirting back with me? Maybe I'm coming on too strong and he is just being polite! Himiko, pull yourself together and throttle it back, or else you'll lose the prize!", Himiko told herself while reaching for a sandwich to eat in hopes of calming her nerves. She was fully expecting Izuku to say something along the lines of him not remembering what it meant or saying that it was complete gibberish. But to give her such a direct answer of that caliber, and with confidence on top of that, set her heart a racing.
"Beautiful treasure, huh?", she thought while eating.
Meanwhile…
"Why did you tell me to say all that?!", Izuku shouts at Buraee, "She's going to think I'm some type of creep or something now!", Izuku shouts.
"First of all, you are the one who said those words. Second, I assisted you when you needed it the most. You should be grateful that I took the time of my search to do that. At least this way I can finally see some progress", came the reply from Buraee, "I shall now return to my search. Good day."
"Hey, I have a few questions about the brass dra-", Izuku starts.
"I believe I said good day!", Buraee shouts.
And with that, the evil dragon vanish, leaving a distraught teenage boy in his wake.
Vlad King during all of this found himself staring at Izuku with a raised eyebrow.
"Kid got some charm; never would have guess", he thought as he looks over at Himiko who was still eating her sandwich but the blush on her face was far more prominent than usual. He cracks a small smile before going back to grading his papers.
Itsuka, Momo, Melissa, and Mei, on the other hand, were still watching Izuku and Himiko.
"Honestly, I didn't think that Midoriya had it in him to leave Toga speechless like that", Momo voices, "He always seem so timid like a puppy around her."
"Maybe all her flirting is starting to get to him", Mei says.
"Indeed they might be", Momo says.
...
...
"Wait a minute, you know what flirting is?", Momo asks as she snaps her head to look at the techie along with Itsuka and Melissa, whose eyes were also widen in surprise.
"Um yeah, my social skills are bad but they're not that bad", Mei replies while raising an eyebrow directed at the heiress, "Just because I ignore all the guys my dad tries to set me up with when they talk to me doesn't mean I don't know what they're doing and why; I simply don't care for them."
Mei then starts poking her chest, "Newsflash, I have huge boobs just like the rest of you so I have to deal with the same problems that you do when it comes to boys."
"Huh, color me surprise", Momo comments, "Though I am pretty sure I am bigger….maybe."
"Well it's just nice to see that those two are getting along", Melissa says.
"Getting along is not the word I would use to describe what they're doing", Itsuka says while crossing her arms, "I don't trust the vampire. Something is going on and I'm going to keep an eye on her for Midoriya's sake."
An alarm goes off on the watch Momo was wearing, catching her attention.
"Okay, schedule break is over, time to get back to an hour of training and Kendou, Midoriya, and myself will focus on efforts on cleaning the beach for the next two hours afterwards", she announces.
"Finally!", Mei shouts, "These mandatory breaks are keeping me from my babies!"
"You need to rest every now and then, Mei", Melissa reminds her, "Else you might work yourself to death."
"Every second I'm not working is another second that the world is lacking my genius!", Mei says as she gets up and Izuku notices something fall out of the pockets of her coveralls and onto the ground and upon further inspection it seem to be an identification card of some sort and the name "Hatsume Industries" was printed in bold letters at the top of it.
"Must be for her to get around the company", Izuku thought out as he picks up the card, "Hey Hatsume, you drop your-"
He found himself stopping as he gave a closer look at Mei's ID, particularly the spot that stated her date of birth.
"Hey Hatsume, your birthday was last month?", he then says aloud, catching everyone's attention, including Mei's.
The pink-hair techie looks over at Izuku and see him holding her card, "Yeah, it was."
"Your birthday was last month and you didn't tell us?", Melissa says, sounding hurt.
"It was during that week when it was just the four of us here and we were busy so I forgot. Heck, my mom had to remind me once I got back that night", Mei says.
"Well, we should do something then.", Itsuka speaks up.
"That we should", Melissa agrees, "Like what type of present would you like? Would you like us to throw you a party?"
"There's really no need for any of that. My mom and I had a small party the next day anyway though she had to force me to do it", Mei says.
"But I insist", Melissa states, ignoring the comment Mei just made, while getting face-to-face and giving off an ominous smile that had no warmth.
"Look, anything I want I can either make it myself or, because my family is well-off, buy it", Mei says as sweatdrops start to pour down her face, "All I want to do is finally test my-"
And that was when Mei turns to look directly at Izuku.
And smiles.
The boy in question then felt a cold chill go up and down his spine.
"Hey Midoriya", Mei then says as she basically teleport over to him, getting right in his face, "Do you want to help me celebrate my birthday?"
"Oh gosh, what do I say?", Izuku thought.
"You say yes, damn it!", Hunluan shouts as she appears behind Mei, "How could you turn her down? Just look at that smile!"
Said smile reminded Izuku of all those mad scientists he has seen in old horror movies. The ones that wanted to destroy the world in the name of science.
Nevertheless, Izuku lets out a sigh before speaking, "Fine, Hatsume. I'll test out some of your gadgets."
"Good, then you don't mind if I finally get to test my babies out on you, right? Preferably in your dragon forms, please", Mei asks.
"Should have known", Izuku mentally grumbles.
"You did say yes", Hunluan says.
"Unfortunately I did. Fine, as long as she doesn't go too crazy", Izuku says, "Okay, I'll do that too."
"YES! Be right back, going to grab my bag!", Mei shouts as she takes off running to the place where everyone drops off their stuff upon getting to the beach
"It's real sweet of you to do this for her", Melissa lets Izuku know.
"I just hope I won't come to regret it", Izuku replies as the techie genius came sprinting back, a large purple bag in her hands.
She came to a direct stop right in front of Izuku and began rummaging through it. She then pulls out a white gun with a cone-shaped barrel at the end of this.
"This is my twelfth baby, the Capture Gun, which can be used to safely apprehend villains from a safe distance and it can be shot five times for needing to be reload.", Mei explains before pointing the gun at Izuku.
"Hatsume, what are you-!", Izuku shouts right before the techie pulls the trigger.
A white capsule comes shooting out and breaks apart, revealing a red net that instantly widen and entangles him, forcing him to the ground.
"You know, you could have warned him, Hatsume", Itsuka points out.
"It would counterproductive to give a warning to a villain that is about to have my product use on them therefore the test dummy shall not get a warning either!", Hatsume declares.
"WHAT IS THIS MADE OUT OF?!", Izuku shouts as he struggles on the ground to break free.
"I made it out of carbon fiber combined with metal wire using a special secret alloy. A client of ours, who shall remain anonymous so I don't violate our privacy policy, has a special contract with the branch company here in Musutafu to get it made for them", Mei answers, "The powerful magnets on the ends of the netting instantly attach to one another and thus make escape impossible unless a special key is used on them in order to deactivate them."
"If you have all that figure out, then why you need Midoriya to test it?", Melissa asks before snapping her fingers, "Unless you need to test out the fiber material itself in order to see if you have to make it stronger."
"Correct!", Mei shouts, "This is exactly the reason you are the only person in the world who I will admit is my equal in intellect!"
"Aw, you flatter me!", Melissa gushes.
"Not to interrupt you two", Momo interjects as she gets the two tech geniuses' attention, "But Hatsume, you did bring the key, that will release Midoriya, with you today, right?"
Melissa's and Mei's attention revert back to Izuku who was still rolling around in the sand, trying to break free of the netting.
"Of course I did. It's right here", Mei say before reaching into her pockets, pulling them inside out to reveal nothing.
"Hatsume", Itsuka and Momo both say with stern voices.
"Obviously it's in my bag", Mei then says before searching through said bag. After doing this for a moment, she looks at Izuku with an apologetic smile, "Well, I got good news and I got bad news."
"What's the bad news?", Izuku asks, though he knew deep down what it probably was.
"The bad news is that I just realize that I left the key on my workbench this morning as I was leaving", Mei confesses.
"And the good news?", Izuku says through grit teeth.
"The good news is that you can test out your transformation to hopefully get out of there", Mei answers as she scratches the back of her head, "Sorry."
….
…..
Izuku found himself taking deep breaths all the while Hunluan was mimicking Mei's gestures.
"Okay, I take partial blame for this", the chaotic dragon says.
"It seems like the only way you are getting out of this is to transform, Midoriya", Dogal states as he appears. He then turns his attention to his counterpart, "You may continue your search, Hunluan."
"Yeah, I should go", she says before disappearing.
"I need you here to transform, Hunluan!", Izuku mentally shouts.
"Oh yeah, that's right. All your current dragons have the chaotic alignment", the black-eyes red dragon says as she reappears, "Well, which one you want to use?"
Izuku thought about this for a moment, granted in an uncomfortable position, before deciding.
"Let's go with the Cheynchaytion", he says.
"You wish to use the Savage Queen?", Dogal asks.
"She is the only one I haven't used willingly, so I guess I'll give her a shot", Izuku says though whether or not he was trying to convince Dogal or himself he did not know, "Oh, and Hunluan?"
"Yeah, kid?"
"As soon as I transform, please restrain her. I don't want any headache today", Izuku tells her.
"You got it. Now let me go get-"
"I am already here", Buraee says as he appears, "Let us be done with this so I can continue my search."
Izuku closes his eyes and finds himself in front of the evil and chaotic dragons whose heads were already bowed. As soon as he touches them he speaks the word "White Dragon".
But nothing happen.
"Oh, sorry about that", Hunluan says, "Since you gave her a name and title, you have to use that now to call upon her essence."
"Figures", Izuku says, "Cheynchaytion, Savage Queen of the Frozen Wastelands!"
A moment later after Buraee and Hunluan became pure energy and came together, Izuku found himself face to face with the Great Wyrm White Dragon.
"Has she gotten bigger? I remember her being big but not this big. Maybe I'm just imaging things", Izuku states, "I'm going to let you know right now that I'm in no mood for your games. You will be restrain upon the completion of this transformation."
Cheynchaytion merely looks at Izuku with a predatory grin, showcasing all her teeth and the boy had to fight the urge to take a step back in fright.
"You have grown quite the spine since confronting Bluutsvilvarrt", she growls.
"Wait a minute, how can I understand you now?", Izuku wonders.
"I have taken the liberty of installing a "Circle of Language: Draconic" across this location", Dogal says as he appears next to Izuku, "I have also taken the liberty of installing them all over the Hall of Essence as well so you will not be inconvenience whenever you return there."
….
"I should be asking how you're here right now but I just realize that since only Buraee and Hunluan are needed for this transformation that still leaves you and the other two the freedom to move around", Izuku states.
"You are correct, though for the moment you will not see us outside of your body while using a transformation due to your draconic aura", Dogal says before looking back at the white dragon, "And you won't have to worry about her or Bluutsvilvarrt causing you a headache."
"Why's that?", Izuku asks.
"Because you gave me a name and title, therefore I will not cause….. much trouble….for you", Cheynchaytion states with a growl, almost as if she was angry from just saying such a thing.
"Oh….okay I guess", Izuku says before looking at Dogal, "If I knew it was this easy to get the dragons to behave I would have gave them name and titles from the get-go."
"Do not assume that something as simple as that will placate the greater chromatic dragons", Dogal warns him.
"The what?", Izuku questions.
"The greater chromatics. The white and black dragons are the two weakest of the main branch of chromatic dragons. The green, blue, and red will take far more effort to get in line. If we were to take in the amount of pride they have, it would take the most extreme and dire circumstances to make them subservient to you without a fight", Dogal says, "But that is for another time. I believe you were in the midst of something."
"Oh yeah, here goes nothing", Izuku says as the Savage Queen unfurls her wings and lets out a powerful roar.
Momo, Melissa, Mei, Itsuka, Himiko, and Vlad King witness Izuku become envelope in a bright white light and when it went away, Izuku was in his white dragon form…..
Stretching the net to its limit since his wings and tail were not accounted for when he first got entangle in it. Also, he felt no pounding headache from Cheynchaytion, so it seem that at the moment she was keeping her word.
Nevertheless, he began to wriggle his right claw into a position cut the fiber to which it easily slice through like a hot knife through butter. Within moments, Izuku was standing up on his two feet in all of his draconic glory in front of the rest of the group who were all watching, with Mei having a look of complete shock etch across her face.
"Um, hi?", Izuku waves, "What's wrong with everyone?"
"Midoriya, I believe I speak for everyone when I say that we are all simply caught off-guard that you would take on this form seeing how it was the one you had when you fought Ryukyu", Momo explains.
"Really?", Izuku asks.
"Actually, I'm surprise how easily your claws slice through those fibers", Mei states, "It's like you weren't even trying."
"Well, I wasn't", Izuku confess while looking at his claws, examining them as the edges shone in the sunlight.
"Great, because now you can test out my Capture Gun even more!", Mei says as she once again aims her gun at Izuku.
"Wait what?", Izuku says.
"Is there perhaps a test you can pull off without entrapping Midoriya?", Momo asks while holding up a hand to stop Mei, "He has already proven that your net requires stronger material."
"Hmm", Mei says, "I guess we can try out its resistance to ice quirks by Midoriya using his breath on it."
She then unloads one of the capsule, breaks it apart, and hangs the net on a nearby pipe, "Okay Midoriya, light it up!"
….
"Well, what are you waiting for?", Mei asks after Izuku just stood there.
"For starters, for you to move out of the way, Hatsume", Vlad King says, "In fact, everyone who is not shooting ice out of their mouth can get behind me."
"Aw, but I wanted an up close and personal view", Mei whines but complies anyway while Melissa pulls out her phone to record.
Once all the girls were behind the Pro Hero and he gives Izuku the thumbs up, the boy refocuses his attention back at the net.
"How do I use my breath attack?", he asks.
"For starters you might want to move up closer", Buraee answers.
"What?"
"Remember kid, because you are in complete control you are working at a significant lower level than when you are merge with the dragon therefore the range and power of your breath is also significantly lower", Hunluan explains.
"Should I hand over control to Cheynchaytion then?", Izuku asks.
"Absolutely not!", Nefer's voice erupts, "That monster may have sworn to not cause you trouble but that same privilege does not extend to those around you! The second you let her take control she will unleash wholesale slaughter and even if you order her not to harm the ones here, she will simply go and find other people!"
….
….
"Yeah, she has a point. Savage Queen will instantly start killing people if you let her take control, if not the gang here than someone else.", Hunluan says.
"Duly noted", Izuku says, "Now back to my original question."
"Just take a deep breath and exhale, it's that simple.", Hunluan states, "But don't get too trigger happy; at your current state you have a finite amount of shots."
"Here we go", Izuku says aloud as he takes a deep breath and could suddenly feel a surge of energy start to swell up in him.
"What's his?", Izuku thought as he could feel the cold chill coursing through his entire body and centering in his chest. It felt like he was drawing energy from every cell in his body and focusing it into his throat. It was like every single fiber of his being was connect by a pure strand of ice and soon enough the energy swelling stop and the boy somehow knew that it was time to expel it.
"Now fire away!", Hunluan then suddenly screams and Izuku exhales forward, directly at the net. Almost on instinct he lean forward and his wings instantly unfurled outward stretching to their full length as he did this.
The temperature in the immediate area then suddenly plummeted and a bright white light fill the eyes of everyone on the beach.
A/N: So since Himiko isn't with the villains she doesn't have as much of a chance to use her Transformation quirk like she does in canon so I decide to use the whole "sub-quirk" thing which also make up for why she is able to actually defeat Pro Sidekicks and police officers despite having no training beforehand. Also, maybe I miss a scene in the canon, but far as I know I never seen Momo push an object back into her body after taking it out.
So one of the things I wanted to try different with this story in comparison to most stories is that Mei isn't ~that~ socially inept. She knows what flirting and love is but simply doesn't care for it because it takes her away from her babies. I know that some stories have her as having ADHD and whatnot but here she is simply chaotic. Now like I said, I had to split this chapter in two and the next one is a bit more focus on Ryuko.
