The Next Morning...
Kara was the first one up and ready to start her day with some coffee and get things for her son. Oliver offered to take her shopping for items to set Tommy's nursery instead of him sleeping in their bedroom. She wanted him to be as comfortable as staying in her bedroom instead of his own.
She went into the kitchen to start her coffee and a little breakfast for everyone. Raisa didn't start until the afternoon, and it gave her some time away to get herself situated. Oliver and William were still sleeping peacefully, she was surprised that Oliver was sleeping still.
Kara poured herself a cup of coffee and added everything she got from her city's coffee shop back in National City on Earth-38. She missed her cousin and her old life, but she needed to give her son a better life than she was living with her sister and her old life. Oliver kept her safe and hidden, now it was time that she kept her son safe from her old team and her old life.
"Hey, you're already up," Oliver said, walking into the kitchen.
"Yeah, I have to be up for Tommy and get my day started before heading out," Kara said and took a sip of her coffee.
"Heading out where?" Oliver asked her confused.
"Some shopping for Tommy; I need supplies for him and start setting up his nursery," Kara said, and Oliver nodded his head.
"Have you decided on the color of his bedroom and what to do with an old bed in the guest bedroom?" Oliver asked Kara.
"I was wondering about putting that bed in Williams's room; if he wanted his friends over, they could sleep on an extra bed," Kara said,d, and Oliver agreed.
"Sounds good, and I'm pretty sure that William would be so excited to have his friends over," Oliver said, and Kara smiled at him.
"I made breakfast for all of us, and we might need more groceries to last us another week here," Kara said, and Oliver nodded his head.
"Well, I'm pretty sure Rasia will go out and buy some groceries for tonight's dinner," Oliver said and Kara nodded her head.
"Well, hurry up and get some coffee in your sister; we need to get ready and shop for some items to get his room started. I just want to get some stuff done until it's time for me to get back to work," Kara said, and Oliver chuckled at her inpatient antics.
Kara ran upstairs to their bedroom and was getting ready to go shopping for some baby stuff for Tommy and important things they need change the baby and get him some clothes. Oliver followed after her and they both jumped in the shower together and left William to look after Tommy.
They got out and got dressed. Kara went over to Tommy's bedroom and saw that he was already awake as William was right by his side. She wanted to take him with her, but they didn't have a car seat for him to sit in, and she didn't want him on anyone's lap.
"William, will you look after Tommy while your father and I go grocery shopping for a little while?" Kara asked William.
"Of course, I'll have Raisa make us something to eat, and I'm guessing we have to wait for Tommy's feeding time," William said, and Kara shook her head. 'No.'
"I have some warm milk in the refrigerator but have to wait until we get home to put the milk in the bottles," Kara said and William looked confused.
"Just try your best to feed him without the bottle for a couple of hours. We were supposed to buy items when he arrived, but he came here early," Kara said and William chuckled.
"Don't worry, Raisa and I got this taken care of while you and Dad are gone," William said and Kara nodded her head.
"We'll be back," Kara said and kissed William's head.
Oliver and Kara left for the grocery store to buy more items for the house and buy little supplies for the baby for right now until they can get everything situated for his nursery room.
At The Grocery Store...
Kara felt that they should've been prepared before he came, but her mind was everywhere, and she worried that their team would find out she was alive and Oliver was hiding her.
She feels bad for lying about her death to Barry, but she can only trust Oliver because he's been through this before, and he doesn't want to have Barry keep lying to her. It was better to be off the grid and somewhere no one could find her or Oliver.
"We bought more food, so what else are we gonna need?" Oliver asked.
"Honey, we need to get items for Tommy," Kara reminded him.
"Right. For right now, we'll get a crib, car seat, binkies, baby bottles, diapers, baby powder, and wipes," Oliver said, listing off items they needed.
"Great. Just for right now until we redecorate his nursery room," Kara said and Oliver nodded his head.
"We'll start that tomorrow afternoon; let's just focus on getting some items for Tommy right now," Oliver said, and Kara agreed.
"Let's go to the baby section and buy him some clothes, too," Kara said, and Oliver chuckled.
"Okay. We'll get Tommy some clothes to wear at least," Oliver said and Kara nodded her head.
They went looking for all the items they needed for Tommy, and tomorrow, they'll find more items to get started on his nursery room. After they went to check out they headed out to their car and unloaded all the groceries into the trunk.
Oliver shut the trunk and they got back into the car and headed back home. Kara wondered if their team even missed her or if they sided with Alex in bringing her down. She missed Barry a lot and knew that only letting Oliver know she was alive was for the best.
Back at Home...
They arrived home and unloaded the trunk, Oliver made Kara grab the easy items and let him carry the heavy items. He didn't need Kara carrying anything heavy until she was in the clear from her midwife to pick up anything heavy. Kara saw William watching Raisa putting Tommy asleep for his afternoon nap, they did leave the house at noon.
"How was everything with Tommy?" Kara asked Raisa.
"We fed him with the milk you gave us and tried our best to feed him without the bottle," William said and Kara smiled.
"Great. We bought more food and got some items for Tommy until we decorated his nursery room," Oliver said, setting the groceries on the table.
"We bought some bottles and pacifiers for Tommy. We also got some clothes for him just until we officially can get everything for him after we finish his room," Kara said and Oliver nodded his head.
"I'll get dinner started for us," Raisa said and went into the kitchen.
Oliver brought in the crib and set it up in their bedroom until they decorated Tommy's room. He'll be sleeping with them for a couple of weeks after they decorate the nursery room. Kara was happy that she got a happy ending with Oliver, instead of being locked away on Earth-38 at the D.E.O.
Kara was holding her son as William and Oliver fixed the crib up for him and got the cushions situated inside the crib for him to lie down in without being uncomfortable. She was just happy that she got the family she always wanted but could never have because of being an alien and destined to not fall in love.
Being with Oliver reminds her that she can have a happy ending and settle down without feeling guilty about not having to worry about saving people and hiding the fact that she is an alien. Oliver makes her feel like she can do anything and be able to fall in love without needing to come up with a lie about her family background or where she's from.
Oliver set her free and showed her the true meaning of happiness and starting a family. She loved all her friends and family back on Earth-38, but they never understood how lonely she felt about hiding her true self in front of her peers and her friends.
"The crib is done and ready for Tommy to sleep in tonight," Oliver said and sat next to Kara.
"Great. I can't wait for him to try his bed and soon-to-be his bedroom," Kara said and kissed Tommy's forehead.
Oliver smiled at the scene and felt the same happiness Kara felt. He will always love Felicity and care for her only as a friend, but Felicity never understood what he had to go through to stay alive on Lian Yu. She wanted to change him, but with Kara, she didn't care about his past and what he had to do for him to stay alive and save his city.
He honestly felt that Kara was the one for him and now that they're dating now, he can see a future with her and hopefully be able to propose to her in the future and expand their family a bit more. He knows lying to their friends about her being alive is a secret, but it's for their good and hers too, because they wanted to kill Kara or lock her away after her team betrayed her.
Now, they're both on the run and not planning on returning to their old lives at all. Oliver hung up his Green Arrow outfit, and his equipment was good for him and his son. Kara wasn't gonna be Supergirl anymore, she felt now that she had a son to look after, she didn't want him in any danger or the hands of her old family.
"Dinner is served," Raisa said and William ran into the dining room.
Kara and Oliver followed, and Tommy woke up a few minutes later. She was able to feed him until it was time to feed him with the bottle. Oliver covered Tommy's head up, and they dug in. William was talking about what he did all day with Raisa and read some of the books that his mom used to read to him to Tommy.
Kara smiled at the scene with Oliver and his son. She was able to start her own life without being Supergirl and the dangers of settling down with someone who didn't know her secret. She got to do it with Oliver and was able to show her human side and alien side, but wasn't ready to show her alien side after everything she did.
Sooner or later, she's gonna have to tell the truth eventually, but until now she'll enjoy this family moment.
