The Incredibles and Big Hero 6 had the Underminer surrounded as he glared at each of them while clinching his fists.
He raised his left fist in the air and yelled, "I'm putting you all down for a dirt nap!"
He then rapidly pounded his fist on the ground and made a small tremor that made the others wabble a little as they lost their footing. Go Go pulled out her hover disc and stood on it as she zoomed at him and punched him in the face to make him stop. He glared at her as she threw her discs at him but he swing his mechanical fists and knocked them away before they returned to her. Helen stretched her arm out and lassoed the Underminer before pulling him toward her, but he smiled slyly before shining his headlight in her eye. She was temporarily blinded as she let him go and then he punched her and knocked her down while Jack-Jack and Honey Lemon watched in horror.
Bob watched her as he yelled, "Helen!"
He angrily ran at the Underminer and tried to punch the Underminer but he dodged his fist and then rapidly punched him in the face with his left fist before knocking him down with his other fist. Seeing him knocked down Jack-Jack angrily growled toward the Underminer before he teleported out of Honey Lemon's arms. He teleported behind the Underminer and angrily kicked his heel, hurting the Underminer as he turned around and angrily tried to punch Jack-Jack. When hit Jack-Jack the baby turned into a cloud of fog and flew over the Underminer before turning normal. But he floated in the air before changing into his monster form as he attacked the Underminer and started biting his face while climbing over him.
The Underminer managed to pry him off as he angrily yelled, "Get off of me you little thing!"
He threw him away but Honey Lemon quickly caught him in her arms while he returned to his normal form.
Fred ran to the Underminer and yelled, "Super kick!"
He tried to kick the Underminer with his right leg but the Underminer dodged him and punched Fred, knocking him aside. The Underminer smiled evilly until Bob ran at him and punched him before grabbing him, only for the Underminer to rapidly pound both his fists against his face, then he grabbed Mr. Incredible and threw away. Go Go was floating by quickly on her hover disc when Bob fell on her and she crashed into a wall, causing them both to fall down.
Bob got off her and apologized, "Sorry Go Go."
Go Go lied down for a moment as she looked up at him and complained, "Maybe think about losing some more pounds."
The Underminer then smiled maniacally as he attacked Wasabi, who activated his left plasma shield as the Underminer rapidly punched it with his right hand. Wasabi's plasma shield withstood it but the force made him struggle a bit before he activated his right plasma blade. He then swung it at the Underminer but he flashed his headlight at Wasabi before moving out of the way. The light blinded Wasabi as he stumbled forward as he accidentally sliced the support of a streetlight. His vision returned and he looked up in horror as the streetlight tipped over and was about to fall on some civilians. Dash zoomed by and got an old lady out of the way while Bob quickly caught the streetlight in his arms, allowing the other person to run away. He set it down and Wasabi sighed in relief while the Underminer tried to make a run for it, but Baymax got in his way. The Underminer tried to punch him but Baymax grabbed his hand and held it in place as he stared down at the Underminer.
He kept holding the Underminer in place as he said, "Prosthetics can be helpful to those who have disabilities or injuries."
The Underminer frantically looked around before seeing a chunk of rubble on the ground and picked it up and used his mechanical arm to throw it at Baymax's face. It knocked him back and made him release the Underminer, who then jumped at him and punched him with both fists, knocking Baymax over.
Hiro ran over and showed worry as he yelled, "Red Panda!"
The Underminer turned to Hiro and smiled evilly ad he pounded his fists together and said, "Alright hero, let's see how you do without your team!"
He then tried to punch Hiro but he held out his left arm as the red dot in his gauntlet lit up and he forced the Underminer back as he repelled his fist. The Underminer was shocked before he tried to punch Hiro with his other fist but Hiro did the same thing with his other glove and repelled him back again.
Hiro smiled slyly before turning to Honey Lemon while he said, "I have a magnetic personality. Honey Lemon, now!"
He turned to Honey Lemon as she threw two blue chem-balls and successfully hit the Underminer's hands. His mechanical hands were covered in blue blobs that hardened and as she smiled and cheered in delight. The Underminer grunted angrily as he pounded them rapidly and broke off the blue material and freed his hands. The Underminer smiled victoriously until Dash ran by him and hit him before circling around him at superspeed and hitting him repeatedly. He then angrily bent over and pounded the ground with both his fists, causing a tremor that made Dash lose his footing. He stumbled over and tumbled away as he groaned in pain, then the Underminer evilly grabbed him and picked him up.
He prepared to punch Dash as he evilly said, "Always keep your feet on the ground!"
Before he could punch Dash he was hit in the face by an invisible force and he heard Violet shout, "Hey! Get your metal hands off my brother!"
His face jerked from side to side as he dropped Dash before stumbling backwards; then he angrily waved his fist and hit Violet. She turned visible as she fell to the ground and let out a cry of pain while the Underminer pounded his fist in his hand and prepared to attack again. Suddenly Hiro shot a mini-magnet from his left gauntlet and it attached to the Underminer's fist, magnetically attracting it to his other hand. The Underminer struggled to pry his hands apart but could not while Violet got away from him and joined Hiro.
She smiled gratefully as she said, "Thanks Hiro."
He smiled back at her but then they both looked at the Underminer as he rapidly pounded his fist in his hand, smashing the mini-magnet and freeing his hands.
He smiled evilly as he went to the teens while Hiro turned to Violet and said, "Vi, try that new trick I taught you."
Violet nodded as she held her hands up and created two small force-field bubbles over her hands, and smiled confidently as she clinched her fists inside. She ran at the Underminer and dodged his left fist when he tried to punch her and she started punching him in the face and stomach, using her force-fields as boxing gloves.
Hiro smiled excitedly as he cheered, "Yeah! Go Violet!"
Bob joined him and was impressed as he said, "Wow, nice trick. You taught her that?"
Hiro smiled modestly as he said, "I shared some ideas I had with her."
Violet punched the Underminer in the face one last time and made him stumble backwards before he angrily tried to grab her. Before he could he was hit in the face by one of Go Go's discs as it flew back and reattached to her hand while she smiled proudly. Bob then ran past Violet and punched the Underminer, knocking him back before he got up, only for Jack-Jack to teleport over him. He floated in the air before turning into metal and falling on him, knocking him down before Jack-Jack turned normal and giggled. The Underminer got up and angrily tried to smash him but Dash ran in front of Jack-Jack and smiled excitedly as he rapidly punched the Underminer in the face. Wasabi came and jumped at the Underminer, ramming him with his right Plasma shield and knocked him back. The Underminer tried to punch him but Baymax grabbed his mechanical hand and lifted him off the ground. Fred jumped in front of him and kicked him, knocking him out of Baymax's grip and sent him tumbling across the street. The Underminer persistently got back on his and raised his fists as he prepared to pound them on the ground like earlier. However, Hiro launched another mini-magnet that landed on the ground where the Underminer was about to pound his fists. The mini-magnet repelled his metal hands and knocked him back, then Helen ran toward him and stretched her leg out to kick him and knock him back. Honey Lemon activated her purse's machine gun mode and typed on it before firing a red chem-ball at the Underminer. It exploded and knocked him back toward the middle of an intersection as he desperately got back on his feet, only to be trapped by Violet's force-field dome. She was holding her hands out with a smile as the others joined her with proud smiles as they looked at the Underminer.
He pounded against the force-fields but could not escape as Violet smugly said, "Sorry Underminer. You lose."
Go Go folded her arms as she coyly said, "Yeah, you're six feet under."
The Underminer looked around and then spotted a manhole cover that was under Violet's force-field with him.
He turned back to the heroes as he maniacally said, "I can sink lower than that!"
He then pulled off the lid and tossed it aside before escaping into the sewers while they watched in shock.
Violet dropped her force-field and said, "No!"
They ran over to the manhole as Bob and Helen hurried down while Wasabi cringed and said, "That's disgusting! Do you know how many germs there are down there?!"
Baymax was about to say when Hiro stopped him and said, "It was rhetorical Baymax."
They all waited for a moment before Bob and Helen climbed back up and Bob said, "He's gone!"
Helen showed a shocked expression as she said, "Really! It's almost like he just vanished!"
Hiro curiously looked up at Baymax as he asked, "Baymax, can you scan for him?"
Baymax glanced around before he answered, "I do not detect the Underminer."
Hiro put his finger to his chin as he said, "Okay, this is really weird."
Go Go was suspicious as she said, "Yeah, he can't get away that fast."
Violet agreed with a baffled expression as she said, "And how did he get his hands and helmet back?"
Helen put her hands on her hips as she suspiciously said, "I don't know, but something definitely doesn't feel right."
Hiro pulled out his phone as he got a call from his aunt and put her on speaker as he said, "Aunt Cass, not the best time. We…"
He was interrupted as she urgently exclaimed, "Hiro! Sickness is here! Me and E need your help!"
They were all shocked and worried as Hiro frantically said, "Oh my god! Are you okay?! Has he hurt you?! What's going on?!"
Cass then desperately cried, "Hurry!"
She hung up and Hiro looked at the others as he frantically said, "We have to save them!"
He got on Baymax's back and Violet held onto to him as they took flight while the others got into their cars and drove off. Meanwhile at Edna's house, Sickness was in her lab as turrets aimed at him and fired, but he pressed a button on his belt and activated his red force-field. It easily protected him as he smiled evilly and flew at them, ramming them with his force-field and smashing them to pieces. When they were all destroyed he flew to Edna's computer and hacked into it with a thumb-drive plugged in and copied data from her computer. When he was finished he smiled evilly as he pulled his drive out and stared at it until he heard a noise and turned to see Cass and Edna.
Edna angrily pointed at him as she yelled, "You unfashionable thief! No one steals my secrets!"
Cass held her hand out toward Edna as she said, "Edna no!"
Sickness smiled mockingly as he said, "Sorry Mode, but I need a little inspiration for my next project and I'm a big fan of your work."
Edna angrily ran at him with her arms out but he smiled snidely as he pointed his right finger at her and trapped her with his zero-point-energy. He then waved her around with his finger before throwing her away as she cried in distress, but Cass quickly caught her as she fell on her butt.
Sickness then flew out and Edna gratefully said, "Thank you darling."
Just then Baymax flew in and landed with Hiro and Violet as they jumped off him and Hiro said, "Where is he?! Where's Sickness?!"
Baymax glanced around and said, "I do not detect him."
Hiro and Violet were shocked as they said, "What?!"
Cass was surprised as she said, "But he was just here! He left the room right before you showed up!"
Edna furiously demanded, "What is going on here?!"
Just then the rest of the Incredibles and Big Hero 6 entered as Fred eagerly said, "Get ready to be cured Sickness!"
They were all scared as turrets came out of the ceiling and aimed at them until Edna yelled, "Security deactivate!"
The turrets went back into the ceiling as the others sighed in relief before Honey Lemon gratefully said, "Thanks Edna."
Wasabi activated both his plasma blades as he readily said, "Where's Sickness?!"
Hiro showed a baffled expression as he pointed at Baymax and said, "According to Baymax, he's gone already."
Bob was shocked as he said, "What?!"
Edna then angrily said, "Impossible! He cannot just disappear!"
Go Go folded her arms as she suspiciously said, "Maybe he can."
Cass curiously looked at her as she asked, "What do you mean?"
Violet spoke up and said, "Bad news: the Underminer got away."
Hiro frowned as he held his hands out and said, "We had him until he jumped into the sewers, then he was gone!"
Edna squinted her eyes as she suspiciously said, "Impossible."
Sometime later, the supers had changed out of their super suits while Edna talked with her security guards before joining everyone upstairs.
She looked at everyone with a serious expression as she said, "My security says they have no idea how he got in or out of my house."
Hiro curiously asked, "What did he steal?"
Edna was vexed as she said, "Uncertain. He copied some designs from my computer, I have no idea which."
Dash was clueless as he said, "I don't get it."
Fred was just as clueless as he said, "Me neither."
Go Go narrowed her eyes with a serious expression as she said, "I know one thing, none of this was a coincidence."
Helen was also suspicious as she said, "She's right. Sickness obviously broke the Underminer out of prison to distract us so he could come here and get Edna's designs. He was nothing more than a distraction and he must've somehow helped the Underminer escape us the same way he did."
Hiro showed a wary expression as he said, "I don't know. Something doesn't feel right. Sickness is smart but I don't think he could've done all of that."
Go Go agreed as she suspiciously said, "Yeah, this seems like too much for just him."
Everyone was suspicious until Cass asked, "Well, can we figure this out back home? I could really use some sleep right now."
Helen's expression softened as she said, "She's right, you all should get to the airport and head back to San Fransokyo. We'll talk more tomorrow."
Hiro complied as he looked at his aunt and said, "Okay, come on aunt Cass. Let's go home."
Edna smiled fondly as she said, "And call me when you come again darlings, I enjoy our visits."
Later in San Fransokyo, the Black Owl landed and Hiro went straight home as he walked into the dark café with Cass and Baymax.
Cass tiredly yawned before heading up the stairs while she said, "What a day! I'd better go to bed now so I can open the café on time tomorrow."
Hiro followed her with Baymax behind him while he said, "Good idea aunt Cass, but I'm gonna stay up a little longer and see if I can figure anything out."
They arrived on the second floor as Cass picked up Mochi while looking at Hiro while she said, "Okay but don't stay up too late. You've got school tomorrow."
He smiled as he reasonably assured, "I know. Don't worry."
Cass went to her bedroom while Hiro and Baymax walked up to his room as he turned on his computer and looked at some files of his.
Baymax was standing on his charger as he watched Hiro and said, "Hiro. You must go to sleep if you are to wake up in time for school tomorrow."
Hiro glanced at Baymax over his shoulder before noticing something on his computer and clicking while he said, "I know, I just can't stop thinking about tonight. Sickness and the Underminer are definitely connected but there's gotta be more going on that we're just not seeing. Huh? An email? I wonder who sent…"
He opened the email in a smaller window and immediately stopped talking as it showed black and white hypnotizing circular patterns. Hiro's jaw dropped as he stared at the changing symbols like a zombie, in a trance while Baymax watched him.
He blinked and said, "Hiro?"
Hiro did not respond as he typed on his keyboard while in staring at the symbols on his screen and opened another window showing his own files.
Baymax tilted his head as he said, "Hiro?"
He then copied them to a new email that he addressed to the same address this current email came from and sent it with his files.
Baymax stepped off his charger and walked behind Hiro as he again asked, "Hiro?"
Hiro did not respond as he kept staring at his screen while he prepared to delete the email that was showing him these symbols. He deleted it and the window showing the symbols closed and he started to snap out of it while Baymax showed his screen on his chest indicating volume rising.
Hiro briefly felt dizzy and was startled when Baymax loudly said, "Hiro has your hearing become impaired? Can you hear me now?"
Hiro got out of his seat and moved his hand across Baymax's screen to turn down his volume saying, "Yeah I can hear you. Sorry Baymax."
Baymax looked down at Hiro as he said, "You were not responding and you just deleted your email."
Hiro was surprised and looked down in confusion before holding his head as he said, "I did? I just blacked out there for a minute. Maybe I do need some sleep. I guess this stuff can wait until tomorrow. Goodnight Baymax."
While he said this he turned off his computer and got in bed, then Baymax said, "Goodnight Hiro."
He then got back on his charger and shrunk down into his luggage while Hiro rested comfortably in his bed and soon fell asleep. Just outside his window, the robot pigeon was spying on them and Evelyn was watching the live footage on her computer with Larry standing behind him.
Larry showed disappointment before smiling wickedly as he said, "Did you have to make him delete it? I would've loved to make him do some things while hypnotized!"
Evelyn scowled him as she seriously held her hand up before smiling deviously while she said, "Easy Baxter. We can't risk them finding out about us, especially since my hypnosis technology won't work on his robot. Besides, we got what we need. His plans for his and his friends' gear along with Edna's designs will be help us design our countermeasures, and your upgrades."
Larry was pleased as he smiled evilly and said, "Good, when do I suit up?"
She got out of her seat and started walking while he followed her as she deviously said, "Take it easy, we still have work to do. Insti-Gator's helping Underminer, I'm sending Black Viper to Baxcorp, and our sneaky friend is getting something from Boss Awesome."
Larry was pleased as he deviously said, "Oh, this is getting good."
She smiled deviously back at him as she picked up in a remote and activated the original Incredibile saying, "Yeah, and I have some big plans for this."
The next day at the Parr House, Violet and Dash were at school so Helen was carrying Jack-Jack while Bob happily went down to the garage to see the family station wagon. He smiled fondly as he turned around but jumped in shock when he noticed that his old Incredibile was gone. He glanced around frantically and saw that it truly was missing, prompting him to run back upstairs, past Helen and Jack-Jack as they watched him with confusion. He hurried to his and Helen's bedroom and hastily searched through the drawers, accidentally breaking one of them but could not find the remote anywhere.
He was very worried as he said, "Aww no!"
Helen walked in with Jack-Jack as she curiously asked, "Bob what's wrong?"
He nervously looked at her as he said, "Helen, we have a problem."
Meanwhile at SFIT, Hiro was in his lab with Baymax as he worked alone with Baymax watching him as he focused on his computer.
Baymax kept watching him as he said, "Hiro, you have still made no progress with your final project."
Hiro groaned in frustration as he glanced at Baymax and said, "I know, I just can't stop thinking about all of this."
He stared at the monitor as it showed images of Sickness and the Underminer, and also an image of Insti-Gator.
He stared at it with a serious expression as he said, "Sickness helped the Underminer escape to distract us so he could steal something from Edna. I think he's also the reason Insti-Gator got away. But I just don't get why."
Hiro was startled when he suddenly heard Edna say, "Perhaps he wants new suits for the three of them."
Hiro turned to see Edna walking toward him while Baymax said, "Hello Edna."
She smiled at him as she said, "Hello darling."
Hiro was baffled as he said, "What are you doing here?"
She got to the point as she pulled out a tablet and said, "I have something that may aid you in your investigation, and hopefully get you to focus more on your project."
Hiro groaned before he defensively said, "I know but I've got so much else going on that it's hard to think of what to do for my project! I've got all of this, and Larry's still out there, and…"
Edna interrupted him as she seriously pointed at him and sternly said, "Excuses! If you wish to accomplish so many things you must learn to multitask. You must split your focus between tasks and not become obsessed with your own personal fears. You must direct most of your attention to what you feel is important first and then aim toward completing your other tasks."
Hiro looked to the side in thought as believed she may be right before he curiously asked, "Well, anyway, what do you have for me?"
Edna smiled as she handed him the tablet that showed videos Sickness in Edna's house as she explained, "My surveillance cameras recorded Sickness' entire infiltration. I believe this footage will be of use to you and provide some clues."
Hiro smiled as he looked at it and said, "This is great!"
Edna pointed at him as she sternly said, "Do not become obsessed Hiro."
She turned and walked out and Hiro smiled as he pointed at her and complimented, "You're the best E."
She waved at him while she kept walking and confidently said, "Yes, I know darling. I know."
Meanwhile in Metroville, Black Viper was stealthily making her way through Baxcorp as she quickly and quietly came to a lab. She entered Jordan's old lab and hacked into his computer and downloaded information onto a drive, then she pulled it out and took something else. She took a neural transmitter much like Larry used for his Oni suit of Microbots, then she stealthily escaped without anyone even noticing her. Later at Frederickson Manor, Big Hero 6 were with Fred's parents as Hiro showed them the tablet Edna gave him. They were watching different parts of the surveillance footage while waiting for the Parrs to arrive, which they did.
Violet smiled as she waved and said, "Hi guys."
Hiro glanced at them before holding up the tablet and said, "Hey guess what? Edna came over and gave us this surveillance footage from her house. This might give us a lead."
Bob smiled uncomfortably as he said, "That's great, but first there's something we should tell you kids."
They all looked at him curiously before he said, "My car's been stolen."
Honey Lemon was heartbroken as she said, "Oh no that's horrible."
Go Go had a glazed look as she said, "Shouldn't you call the police about that?"
Bob shook his head as he explained, "No you don't understand. My car from my old superhero days has been stolen. The original Incredibile."
They all showed shock and worry as Wasabi said, "Okay, that's not good."
Helen looked at them with concern as she said, "We're pretty sure someone stole it last night while we were all busy fighting the Underminer."
Violet showed an uneasy expression as she theorized, "I guess Sickness went to our house before hitting Edna's."
Go Go was skeptical as she folded her arms as she said, "So he sprung the Underminer, stole your super car, and broke into Edna's? All in one night?"
Dash cluelessly shrugged as he said, "I guess so."
They all looked at Baymax as he said, "Hiro also believes that Sickness is responsible for our failed capture of Insti-Gator."
Honey Lemon looked at the others with realization as she said, "Yeah. He probably blew up the bridge to distract us long enough for him and Insti-Gator to escape."
Fred smiled excitedly and clinched his fists as he said, "So he's putting together a team of supervillains and stealing secret stuff from superheroes! That's awesome! I mean it's bad of course but still it's awesome!"
Hiro skeptically looked at the tablet as he swiped his finger across it before his eyes widened as he said, "No it doesn't make any sense. How could he have done all of that last night so fast without…?"
Noticing his reaction Violet curiously said, "Hiro? Is something wrong?"
He turned the tablet around to show them something while he said, "I think I may have just found something."
They all stared at the screen as it showed an empty hallway in Edna's house before a blue and white portal opened up. Sickness flew out of it and landed with a mischievous grin before the portal closed and then he walked through the hall.
Everyone was shocked as Dash said, "Whoa! What was that?!"
Honey Lemon was worried as she asked, "Silent Sparrow?!"
Hiro nodded as he said, "Looks like it."
Bob was confused as he said, "But we destroyed the portal he used on that island."
Hiro shrugged as he suspected, "I guess he built another one somehow."
He fast forwarded the footage and then saw another shot of Sickness using another portal to escape Edna's house before it closed.
Hiro looked at the others as he said, "He used his portal to breach Edna's security and then escape with the data he stole."
Wasabi narrowed his eyes as he glanced at the others saying, "That must also be how the Underminer escaped so fast."
Helen was suspicious as she said, "But you kids said that teleportation thing didn't work."
Hiro showed a concerned expression as he explained, "It didn't work back then, but Sickness might've made some modifications to it. Still, I bet that he cut corners and it's just as dangerous with him in control of it."
Violet summed up what they learned as she said, "So Sickness built another portal and used it to free the Underminer, break into Edna's house, and steal dad's car."
Hiro shook his head as he stared to the side in thought as he said, "No, something still doesn't seem right. I feel like he couldn't do all of this on his own, and even if he somehow rebuilt a portal he would've needed someone else to operate it."
Go Go had her arms folded as she looked to the side suspiciously while she said, "Yeah, he must've had someone else helping him, and I think I have an idea who."
Honey Lemon looked up in thought as she said, "It would have to be someone really smart, and with good knowledge of Silent Sparrow."
Bob held his left palm up as he asked, "But who else knows about it?"
Hiro thought and showed an uneasy expression as he said, "I think I know someone who might have some answers."
His friends looked at him with concerned expressions as Wasabi asked, "Are you sure Hiro?"
Hiro nodded as he tensely said, "Yeah. I'm sure."
Dash was confused as he asked, "What? Who?"
Honey Lemon looked at them with an overwhelmed expression as she answered, "Professor Callaghan."
The Parrs' eyes widened as they understood and then Hiro heavily said, "He was involved with the project, he might know what's going on."
Bob stood up and complied, "Alright, let's go talk to him."
Hiro held up his right hand to stop him as he seriously said, "No. I have to do this on my own."
Everyone was shocked as Fred nervously said, "Uh Hiro… I'm not sure that's a great idea."
Go Go was also troubled as she pointed her left thumb at Fred as she said, "I'm with Fred on this one. You haven't seen Callaghan since our fight with him at Krei Tech. We all know you still got your issues with him."
Hiro's expression softened slightly as he looked at them before heading to the door while saying, "Guys, I appreciate the offer but I need to do this."
Violet followed him as she boldly said, "I'm coming too."
He stubbornly turned to her as he denied, "No Violet."
She narrowed her eyes and put her hands on her hips as she firmly said, "I'm coming with you, whether you like it or not."
Bob smiled with a bit of pride as he said, "Don't argue with her Hiro, trust me. There's nothing you can do to change her mind."
He sighed in defeat before motioning for her to follow him while he said, "Fine. Come on."
They both walked out of the room and down the hall while everyone watched them with emotional expressions. Outside a window a robot pigeon was spying on them as Larry and Evelyn watched on a monitor in their hideout.
Larry curiously asked, "Should we get him?"
Evelyn pressed a pen to her lips with a devious smile while she said, "No. Too soon. Besides, there's nothing he can reveal that will blow our cover."
Later, Hiro drove his moped over to the San Fransokyo prison with Violet riding with him as they both put their helmets away.
They walked inside as Hiro looked at her out of the corner of his eye saying, "You didn't have to come with me Violet."
She walked beside him with her hand on his shoulder as she sincerely said, "Yes I did. I know what this guy did to you, so I'm coming to make sure everything's okay with you."
He sighed and gratefully said, "Thanks."
They entered the cellblock and passed some prisoners, one of whom was Yama who growled angrily as he stared at Hiro. Violet looked at Yama with a slightly nervous expression as she stayed close to Hiro and kept walking with him. Some of the other prisoners glared at the two teens and Hiro grasped Violet's hand protectively as he bravely glanced around at them. They stopped when they came to the cell of Robert Callaghan who sadly looked at them both while sitting in his chair. Hiro shot him a small scowl while Violet had a calmer expression as she glanced back and forth between him and Callaghan.
Callaghan spoke somewhat shamefully as he said, "Didn't expect to see you Hiro."
Hiro did not change his expression as he bluntly explained, "We need some answers and you're the only one who can give them to us."
Callaghan glanced at Violet before he asked, "Who's your friend?"
Hiro kept scowling as he answered, "This is Violet."
Callaghan did not change his expression as he said, "Incredigirl?"
Violet gasped in shock and glanced around to make sure no one was listening before asking, "How did you know?"
Callaghan kept slumping in his seat as he answered, "I watch the news, and I know he and his friends are Big Hero 6. You being here with him, I managed to put two and two together. Don't worry, your secret's safe with me."
Hiro looked at Violet out of the corner of his eye as he confirmed, "He's telling the truth. If he wanted to expose us he would've done it a long time ago."
Violet relaxed a little as she let out a heavy sigh of relief before pointing at him as she curiously said, "So you're Yokai?"
Callaghan shamelessly glanced from side to side toward the floor as he replied, "Technically yes. I never actually went by that name, it was what the media gave me after my arrest. I'd prefer to be called by my real name."
Hiro narrowed his eyes as he got to the point and seriously said, "We're here to talk about Silent Sparrow. A bad guy we've been fighting managed to create his own portal and has been using it to commit crimes."
While he said this, he pulled out the tablet and showed the two scenes of Sickness using the portal at Edna's house.
Callaghan then showed a concerned expression as he said, "Well this is a big problem. Even if he managed to make a working one I doubt it's stable."
Violet then curiously asked, "Any idea how he could've learned about all of this?"
Callaghan looked to the side before facing them as he honestly said, "The military classified the project after it failed. Some of Krei's top scientists helped with the project but were fired after it was declared a failure. That's all I know."
Violet turned to Hiro as she suspected, "Sickness could've found the scientists and hired them to help him build these new portals."
Hiro held his left arm as he faced Callaghan before looking down as he said, "This is helpful. Thank you, Professor Callaghan."
He and Violet turned around and started to leave but stopped when Callaghan got up and held up his right hand saying, "Hiro…"
Hiro stopped and Violet sympathetically turned from him to Callaghan, who held his palms up as he sincerely said, "I never thanked you for saving my Abigail."
Violet looked back at Hiro as he frowned and honestly said, "I'm… I'm glad she's okay."
Violet turned back to Callaghan, who turned from a picture of his daughter to Hiro as he lamented, "I never set out to hurt anyone. What happened to Tadashi because of me, I know it's not enough, but I'm sorry."
Upon hearing his brother's name, Hiro silently gasped and sadly shut his eyes while Violet placed her hand on his shoulder for comfort.
Hiro opened his eyes with a sad expression as he said, "Tadashi would've wanted me to forgive you."
Callaghan opened his eyes in curiosity as Hiro took a deep breath and admitted, "Someday I hope I can."
Hiro walked out of the cell while Violet glanced over her shoulder at Callaghan before following him while he shut his eyes in shame and regret. She followed Hiro out of the prison and joined him as he proceeded to his moped with a mixture of emotions.
He didn't even face Violet as he said, "I know what you're thinking, I just can't forgive him now."
Violet moved next to him as she glanced at the prison while sincerely saying, "I get it. After all he's done it's hard to forgive him, but he doesn't seem like a bad guy to me."
Hiro looked to the side as he honestly said, "I know he's not bad like Sickness, Larry, or Jordan, but he hurt me way more than all of them put together."
Violet looked at the prison as she sadly said, "I hope he gets to see his daughter again someday."
Hiro glanced over his shoulder as he honestly said, "She can come visit him here whenever she wants."
Violet kept frowning as she said, "Still, I feel bad for her having her dad locked up in jail. Maybe he deserves it but I know it must make her feel bad."
Hiro then turned to Violet with appreciation as he said, "Hey, thanks for coming with me. It really helped me a lot."
Violet smiled and hugged him as she shut her eyes and he smiled with his eyes shut as he lovingly hugged her back. They then held hands as they got back on Hiro's moped and put their helmets on before Violet wrapped her arms around Hiro's waist. He smiled as he drove off with her and they both made their way through San Fransokyo and headed back toward Frederickson Manor to share their news with the others. Meanwhile, the rest of the Parrs were with Stan, his wife, and the rest of Big Hero 6 as they discussed things in the living room. Heathcliff came and served them some drinks and they thanked him before Stan politely sent him away before talking with Bob. Heathcliff glanced around to make sure no one was watching him as Fred talked with his friends and Helen happily talked with his mother while she happily held Jack-Jack. He noticed Baymax was watching everyone else, facing away from Heathcliff and paying him no mind as he focused on everyone else. Heathcliff backed away and proceeded to the family portrait before opening the secret door and entering Stan's secret superhero den. He glanced around before secretly taking a few of his gadgets and one of his identical super suits before leaving and ceiling the room.
Hiro and Violet returned as the others looked at them and Honey Lemon asked, "Any luck?"
They walked into the room as Hiro answered, "Callaghan says that Krei fired some of the scientists who helped with the experiment."
Violet stood beside him as she added, "We think Sickness might've hired them to help him with his latest portal."
Bob was intrigued as he pulled out his phone and started dialing a number as he said, "This could be a lead. I'll call Mirage, see if she can dig anything up that will help us."
Hiro walked over to a couch and sat down with a troubled expression as he said, "I hope so. We've got to figure out what's going on before something bad happens."
Seeing his stress, Helen sat down next to him and sincerely said, "Don't worry Hiro. We'll stop Sickness and any other bad guys involved in this. I promise. You just relax and let us handle this, we don't need you getting obsessed with this."
Hiro showed an annoyed expression as he rested his head on his wrist and rhetorically asked, "Does everyone think I'm obsessed?"
Baymax looked at him as he said, "Yes."
Helen spoke wisely as she said, "Trust me, you don't want to get obsessed with catching someone. If you do you could end up like Miss Conception."
Hiro and his friends looked at her with confusion as Go Go said, "Misconception?"
They turned to Bob as he raised his right finger and corrected, "No. Miss Conception. Two words."
Violet was confused as she asked, "Who?"
They turned to Helen while a flashback started and she explained, "Not long before we got married there was this new young super who wanted to be just like us. She called herself Miss Conception."
The flashback showed a young woman about the same age as Go Go with a similar body, but she had long hair like Honey Lemon's but it was black. She wore a green mask and costume with red gloves and boots, a bright blue belt with her initials on her chest and a long bright blue cape. She was seen excitedly running and jumping across rooftops before demonstrating her powers as her hands had clouds of reg, green, and blue mist over them. She was shown using her powers to create things out wisps of this colored mist as she made a giant bird that she rode, then she created a massive fog bank. She was seeing creating a flying bat that hit two criminals and knocked them out, then she made a lion that roared and scared some criminals into surrendering. Next she was seen excitedly shaking hands with Mr. Incredible, Elastigirl, and Frozone while they all showed friendly smiles toward her.
While all of this was shown Bob spoke with a bit of respect and admiration as he said, "She was a smart girl with lots of potential, and she had amazing powers. She could make almost anything she could imagine out of these phantasms she made, which could surprisingly hurt. She did a lot of good and saved a lot of people, she even helped us out a few times."
The flashback then showed Miss Conception creating giant hands that stopped a bridge from collapsing and then created a lasso that ensnared some criminals. Then she was seen jealously glaring at Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl before looking at a conspiracy wall she had put together. Then a scene of a bald-headed mad scientist was shown as he laughed maniacally as four clones of him stood beside him. The Miss Conception was seen running across rooftops with a determined expression while Mr. Incredible and Elastigirl ran beside her desperately shouting at her.
While this was all shown Helen regretfully said, "Yeah, she said she wanted to become as great a hero as us and she could've become one, but she grew impatient. She vowed that she would prove herself by defeating the biggest supervillain in Metroville: Mitosis. A mad scientist who used genetic engineering to create evil clones of people that he could control. We all knew that she was getting in over her head; he was far too dangerous for her to take on by herself. We tried to warn her but she wouldn't listen."
Next they were seen with Miss Conception in an evil lair as the three of them were surrounded by monstrous mutant clones of Mitosis. They fought them and defeated them but an army of them came as Mitosis set a time bomb before making a run for it. Miss Conception created a platform that carried her but she was attacked by mutant clones while Mr. Incredible smashed his computer. Elastigirl helped Miss Conception by lassoing a mutant clone's legs with her arms and knocking it over, unfortunately it crashed and rubble fell on Miss Conception. Elastigirl tried to save her but Mr. Incredible grabbed her and dragged her out of the base just before the timer hit zero and it blew up. They both sadly looked at the flaming remains of the base while the flashback ended and Bob frowned sadly.
While all of this happened Bob heartedly explained, "We went to help her but we ended up walking into a trap. Mitosis was planning to takeover the city with an army of mutant clones of himself, and he set a time bomb to try and kill us. We did everything we could to stop his clones but Miss Conception was only focused on catching Mitosis, and she refused our help. We managed to stop the clones from getting out but Miss Conception got hurt and the bomb was about to go off. There was no time so we got out and the base was destroyed and she died with it."
Hiro and his friends were devastated as Honey Lemon said, "That's horrible."
Dash and Violet were just as horrified as Dash said, "Yeah."
Hiro curiously asked, "What happened to Mitosis?"
Bob showed uncertainty as he answered, "No one knows. That was the last anyone saw of him. I'm thinking he probably went into hiding when supers were banned."
Helen then sincerely looked down at Hiro as she said, "Anyway, the point is, if you become obsessed with trying to stop this you might destroy yourself."
Hiro stared into space with much on his mind before Violet sat down next to him and put her hand on top of his.
He turned to her as she showed much concern as she said, "My mom's right Hiro. I want to stop the bad guys too, but I don't want to lose you."
His friends all stared at him as Honey Lemon sincerely said, "Neither do we."
Hiro was touched as he thought hard and then smiled as he solemnly said, "Thanks guys. Don't worry. I can multitask. I've still got schoolwork to do, and I'm not baling out on helping you study for your exams."
Violet smiled lovingly as she shut her eyes and leaned against him with her head on his shoulder and he smiled lovingly as he rested his head against her. Everyone smiled happily as they stared at the young couple with big smiles on their faces, even Go Go couldn't resist.
Author's note: That's the end of chapter 10. This might be my longest chapter so far and I'm going to try and make the rest of the chapters a bit longer. We're about halfway through the story and things are getting interesting. We saw some nice Hiro X Violet moments and some other emotional scenes. Edna and the others have given Hiro some good advice that he will follow for a while, but there is still more trouble to come. Also, I put some good work into their fight with the Underminer. Despite what the wikis say I feel like the Underminer does have some powers. I don't think he's human so I can see him being tougher than a normal human. I also feel like those hands of his give him some superstrength, even though he's definitely not as strong as Mr. Incredible. Anyway, it might be a while before I post my next chapter but I'm sure this will hold you for a while. Please review.
