It was a beautiful night up in Heaven. The sky turned lovely shades of blue and purple. The great moon shone bright with stars twinkling alongside. Sir Pentious basked in their beauty. It was certainly a sight he never saw in Hell before, as he was more used to red skies and clouds of smoky inferno. Heaven really was the definition of peace, the evening certainly solidified it. Yet, despite how beautiful it was though, Pentious felt lonely.

Looking up at the stars and making out the constellations, they almost appeared to look like his friends. How were they after the battle between the exorcists? Were they alright? Did they think of him? They must have thought he had perished. Not that Pentious blamed them. He saw the bright light before it even struck him. Not that he had any regrets about that action he took. If he was given the same choice to sacrifice himself for those he had grown to love and care for, he would take it.

Still, they now felt so far away and he had no idea how or if he was allowed to see them again and let them know he was okay. He sighed, the stars in his mind becoming images of his friends. Charlie, Angel, Husk, Cherri Bomb…The serpent's already somber mood increased as his thoughts came to that one person.

"Oh Cherri, if only you knew how much I missss you." He cursed himself for his lack of courage in his earlier attempts to tell her how he felt, which only resulted in excuses. It was only during the battle before he went to take down Adam, that he finally confessed. He could still feel her lips against his own, how soft and sweet they were despite the many cussings that came out of it. Oh, how much he wanted to savor that feeling again!

"Sir Pentious?"

Pentious glanced toward the source of the voice. "Oh, Miss Emily, good evening. I was just…out here stargazing. It's a lovely view."

"Yeah, Heaven always has the best stars. I guess Hell doesn't have anything like this."

"No." the serpent lowered his head.

Emily noticed and her face became laced with concern. "Sir Pentious? Is something the matter? Would you like to talk about it?

Pentious looked up at the younger seraph. Upon arriving in Heaven, she had been the first friend he had made up there. Sure he had his egg minions (they made it to Heaven with him), but Emily was different. She was kind, always smiling, seeing the positive in everyone and everything and always willing to lend an ear. Her warmth reminded him so much of Charlie, for she was the same to him when he joined the hotel. And right now, Pentius really needed that warmth right now.

"It's everybody back in Hell, Miss Emily. I miss them, but do you know who I miss the most?"

"No, who?"

Pentious sighed. "Cherri Bomb."

Emily blinked in surprise. "Is she your friend? Or more than a friend?"

Pentious blushed slightly as he rubbed the back of his head. "I guessss you could say that."

The fact that he was grinning in such a bashful manner, Emily found it almost cute. She remembered the trial when the angels were witnessing and judging Charlie's hotel patron's and one of them, a woman with a single eye, a wild hairstyle in a ponytail, red tattoos and ripped clothing, she recalled bearing the name Cherri. She had seen how Pentious attempted to flirt with her only to nervously back down with excuses. It was funny how a well defined demon like Sir Pentious could be so shy of expressing his true feelings.

Though looking at him now, he seemed rather sad.

"Do you miss her?"

"More than you can imagine. You know I miss everyone. They probably don't even know I'm alive. Charlie, Cherri…" A small tear formed in Pentious's eye. "Oh, if only I could see her again. Even just for a moment."

The heartbreak in his voice was raw, it stung Emily's heart. She couldn't imagine what it was like, to be far away from those you loved, to be taken for dead and long for someone special. Was this what Sinners felt when they lost their loved ones to the Exorcists? Yes this system in Heaven had caused too much trouble, creating heartbreak on both sides.

Emily set that thought for later. Her main concern was Sir Pentious. If only there was something she could do to help him and his love. Then an idea came to her, causing her to grin from ear to ear.

"There is a way," she said as she turned back to the doors. "Come with me, Sir Pentious."

Raising a brow in confusion, Pentious reluctantly followed her, unsure of what to expect.

They were soon in a vacant room, all white and pristine.

"I know a way you can make contact with your love." Emily was saying. "It's a small angelic spell, but with it you will be able to visit her through her dreams."

Penitous's eyes, including the one on his hat, widened. "Really? Is that even possible?"

"Of course it is. I've seen Sera do this once, for a poor soul who had died and wanted to visit his daughter. To give her closure."

"That's what I want for Cherri too. It would be nice for Miss Charlie as well."

"I must warn you though, the spell only lasts until sun up. You will be put into a sleep and then your dreams will connect with hers. You have some time until morning comes and you wake up."

Penitous frowned. It wasn't as long as he hoped it would be but if it gave him even the smallest moments with Cherri, he was willing to take it.

"Okay. I'm ready."

Emily closed her eyes, and concentrated. Summoning all her angelic energy, she projected it onto the serpent. A white aura illuminated around Pentious's body and he started to feel tired. Before he even knew it, his eyelids began to droop until finally all his senses and surroundings went black.

As the serpent fell into a deep sleep, Emily felt proud of her accomplishment. She hoped things would work out well with Pentious and his lover. She remembered what he said earlier.

It would be nice for Miss Charlie as well.

He had a point. Charlie did deserve to know that he was alright and alive, as well as know that her Hotel had been a success. She might get into trouble for this without consulting Sera, but ever since the trial, her trust in her mentor had wavered a little. She would deal with the consequences later. As Sir Pentius slept, Emily headed for the phone on the table. She had an important phone call to make.
