Pennyworth, Alfred insisted that she start school soon. So, he had encouraged her to get new clothes and buy as much as her heart delighted. That meant that she had a credit card in hand and had to spend as much money as she possibly could. Although she would rather order things online, she was told it would be good for her to get out as she was on the mend. And there was going to be a meal made soon for Thanksgiving, and Pennyworth was encouraging her to meet the rest of the household that once lived in this manor.
So, here she was doing her daily ritual of shopping for clothes. She was just glad that no one had dropped dead yet, and everything seemed eerie normal. Other than the casual thief being chased by the police or a fight going on somewhere, The echoing of the normalcy of this all being normal.
Now that she thought about it, the time she had spent here in jolly old Gotham was the least times she nearly died. She happened to come upon a body or any type of crime. Here in the most dangerous place on Earth, it was ironically safer for her.
This mall had some of the best security she had ever seen. But there are also some of the worst. She could see the gaps in the security guards when they took a break, and there would be a short window with the switch around where someone could easily do something illegal.
As of right now, she was doing online school, but soon she would be attending one of the most elite schools in the world. A school that people would kill to get into. A school that was so elite that people were willing to live in Gotham to either work in or send their own children to. And unfortunately, she was going to be one of those students soon.
Right now, she was getting her uniform and school supplies to attend this magnificent school that she was now in. A school that she was somehow easy to get into, even though there was a waiting list that was full for the next couple of decades. Bribery and flirting must go a long way. And having a lot of money or possibly owning the school could not help.
She had mixed feelings about going to this school because it was a school that she did want to attend when she was younger. It had some of the best criminology and psychology classes in the world. Taught by some people who had first had experiences with it and even more. Some classes were taught by reformed criminals that were making sure that the next generation did not become the next supervillain that would take over the world or Gotham.
But that was something that she was no longer interested in, and she was doing her best to run away from anything like that. But it was so eerie that she knew that she was being watched and that something bad was about to happen.
And then she was distracted by a shiny football that now had her attention.
