11/26/2656- Daklor Commonality Destroys Pirate Flotilla

"Today, a large flotilla of pirate vessels in the Draklor Commonality were destroyed while raiding a civilian convoy. The flotilla, which consisted of over a dozen converted civilian craft and a small number of warships, struck the convoy while it was discharging within the Ad'solimi System, hoping for an easy victory. The tables were turned, however, when a task force of Union and mercenary warships hidden within the convoy attacked the pirates, destroying or capturing many of the vessels. This is only one of several operations that have taken place in the last week, Union forces striking back against the pirates of the Confederacy using their newly gained mercenary support. These attacks have seen the loss of many pirate vessels and destabilized the power base of several larger pirate leaders, including Trilana L'Anos herself."
