"Today, the Batarian State Arms agreed to a deal with the Union, selling several partially subsidized Bar'tracris class modular cruisers to the Union Navy, funds the cost of the sale being partially covered by the Batarian Hegemony. Hegemony representatives have stated that the Union provides a stabilizing influence within the Terminus, and reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring its survival. Representatives have also dismissed the claims of some that the Union has been selling prisoners of war to Hegemony corporations as enemy propaganda."
