12/30/2656- Completion of Second Destiny Class Super Dreadnought Delayed Again

"Today, the Armali Board of Military Affairs announced that the completion of the second Destiny class super dreadnought, the Destiny Eternal, will be delayed again. The Eternal began construction over 40 years ago as an attempt to create a vessel even more powerful than its older sister, the Destiny Ascension. Over the years, plans for the vessel became less ambitious, instead turning into a second vessel of the Destiny class. Continually beset by delays and problems in its construction, the Eternal has gained such names in the military procurement community as "The Black Hole", "Armali's Lament", and "Corruption's Pride". This most recent delay has been caused by the vessel's propulsion system, set to be installed next year, being instead diverted to replace the worn out drive of the Destiny Ascension, delaying the vessel's expected completion date back to 2684."
