9/18/2656- Union Fleet Attacks Sonurvral

"Today, a Union fleet attacked the planet Sonurvral. The fleet, led by the heavy cruiser Warhound and made up of mostly the missing ships that left the combined fleet two days ago, arrived in the system through a Secondary Relay in orbit of the fifth planet, before performing an in system FTL jump to Sonurvral. The fleet engaged the defense forces in orbit of the planet, consisting of a number of captured vessels and a modest mercenary force. The fleet managed to force the defenders to retreat into the system's asteroid belt. No information on potential ground operations are currently available, but there is evidence of the fleet performing orbital bombardment with their secondary weapons against Republic targets."
