9/19/2656- Union Ground Invasion of Sunuvral Begins

"Today, Union troops landed on the planet Sunuvral after half a day of constant orbital bombardment. They initially faced minimal resistance, but as they went deeper into population centers, ambushes and traps began to take a toll on the invaders, causing significant casualties. The invasion continues, but has slowed, with minimal ground being gained inside the cities. The remnants of the Sunuvral Free Navy, a new, days old organization made from converted civilian ships and captured Union vessel, continues to attack Union forces in space, fighting with hit and run attacks against warships and convoys, causing notable amounts of damage, and even destroying 3 Union warships in the time since they lost orbit."
