10-4-2656- Warlord Vorn Mines The Orbit of Tranknir

"Today, a task force of Vorn warships arrived in orbit of the rebellious world of Traknir. Soon after their arrival, two of the vessels, converted civilian transports, began deploying missile launcher satellites in low orbit of the planet. The array of 240 eight-cell long range missile launchers completely surrounded the planet. The array's capabilities were shown when a civilian schooner attempted to leave the planet, only to be destroyed before reaching 50 kilometers beyond the surface, crashing into the spaceport it launched from, killing several thousand people. After the event, a planet wide broadcast came from the light cruiser Ravager II, with the Admiral on the ship stating that the array would only be removed once the planet completely surrendered to Vorn. Several settlements across the planet have locked down their spaceports to prevent similar events from occurring, but none have so far responded to the Admiral's ultimatum."
