QUIBBLER EXCLUSIVE: STRANGE HAPPENINGS AT THE MINISTRY

By Rita Skeeter

LONDON

The Ministry of Magic is reeling today as the national reserve of time-turners was found destroyed. No alarms were raised prior to the attack, and no culprit or malicious force has been identified as the cause.

"It's a real mystery, Ms. Skeeter," said Alwerd Forrest, a Ministry janitor. "All 37 were sitting in a broken heap when I checked this morning. Looked like they exploded. Can't imagine how someone could do it. Can't imagine how they got past all the detectors and guards."

Time-turners are charmed items that allow the user to reverse time for short periods. They are considered part of the country's national magical defense. In times of crisis, the turners are employed by first-responders to reduce casualties and alleviate damage. Without them, the country is at considerable risk.

As time-turners are difficult to create, it will be years until the stock will be replenished. The reserve has already been at reduced levels since 1995 when a group of Hogwarts students broke into the Ministry and destroyed them all.

Remove Forrest's name and occupation. Replace with "anonymous Ministry employee." The Quibbler protects its sources.

Replace "Hogwarts students" with "Death Eaters under the command of Lord Voldemort."

Otherwise PRINT IMMEDIATELY.

Advance Rita the full amount for a future story. I don't know why The Prophet wouldn't print this, but I want us in the front of her mind if she comes across a story like it again. L.L.
