Becoming Adrien's girlfriend was the best two weeks of Kagami's life. They were a prince and princess who felt on top of the world. It felt like just yesterday he and Kagami were taking selfies together, capturing every significant moment. All their friends joined in too, and every day was lots of fun…

That all ended when Gabriel decided to risk everything, even his own son, and akumatize him into an evil white cat with blue eyes. Even if Kagami didn't have her powers with her, she risked everything to get Adrien to snap out of it. Her tears wouldn't stop falling down, and she felt herself losing her balance, but she tried to show him the selfie of the two of them together on her phone with her hands shaking.

But Adrien lost control and sliced Kagami's smartphone in half. The smiling faces of the two of them ripped apart, and Kagami fell to her knees in front of her broken phone.

"Adrien…" Kagami's voice shook. "Please…This isn't you!"

Kagami literally ran barefoot in tattered clothing to get to him. She remembered Adrien as Chat Noir, ready to protect her, but Gabriel found out his son was Chat Noir, and Adrien smiled at her to let her know everything would be okay.

But Gabriel Agreste wasn't above akumatizing his own son, and Kagami had to watch as Adrien writhed in pain from being turned into his father's evil puppet.

"Adrien!"

Kagami tried to run to him, and she saw that his warm green eyes were now icy cold blue. Adrien didn't break away from her soft hands touching him, and for a moment, he thought he could find peace. But his father's voice rang in his head, telling him to destroy all of Paris and anyone who got in his way. White light came out of his body, and Kagami got knocked down due to Adrien's newfound strength.

Adrien grunted and kept yelling at his father that he would not follow the order he had given him. Kagami slowly picked herself up, fighting back the pain.

She heard Adrien crying and breathing deeply, and then she looked deeply into his sorrowful eyes.

"Kagami…Run! Please!"

Kagami reached out without hesitation as a blinding white light escaped Adrien's paws. When Kagami woke up, her clothes were tattered, but she was still alive. As she ran to find Adrien, she saw stone statues of the citizens of Paris, and Ladybug and Viperion were nowhere to be found.

But she did find Adrien in the end, and she wasn't going to let him go, no matter what, even in his worst state.

"I destroyed Paris for you so you would rule! Are you happy, Father?! You did this so you could be with Mother again, but you made me kill Kagami! How is this fair?!" Adrien screamed. "How?!"

"No!" Kagami cried. She knew right there that Adrien fought his father's influence enough to save her, and Gabriel brainwashed him to convince him that she was dead.

"No, Adrien, I am still here!" Kagami cried even if Chat Blanc glared at her with those icy cold eyes.

She walked up to him with pleading eyes even if he was activating his powers again and could kill her in one hit. Strangely enough, she could hear Gabriel laughing at her, even though she wasn't under the influence of an Akuma.

"You better walk away, young girl, unless you want your boyfriend to kill you in one hit," Gabriel said.

Kagami deflected Gabriel's voice with a scoff and walked over to Adrien, looking him straight in the eye and cupping his face.

"Adrien," Kagami started. "I know you're in there…" She said softly.

Adrien still glared at her. In his mind, she was someone completely different and ready to kill him in one hit, but Kagami didn't waver.

"Adrien, you saved me. Please come back to me. Please…"

Adrien roughly grabbed her wrists with his glowing hands. Kagami started to cry from pain. But as her tears fell on him, the false vision Adrien was seeing shattered. He saw Kagami crying in front of him as he powered down.

"Kagami! Oh my god!" Adrien cried as he pulled away from her.

Adrien was shaking, seeing all of Paris destroyed and Kagami hurt. Kagami pulled him into a hug without hesitation. He relaxed into Kagami's gentle hold and took in the scent of cherry blossoms before shaking his head and pulling away again, breaking Kagami's heart more than he realized.

"I made a mess of everything Kagami, I can't be forgiven," Adrien cried.

Kagami shook her head as her eyes burned from tears. "You saved me Adrien!"

Regardless of Kagami trying to reason with him, he ran away in shame. But Kagami sprinted to him and hugged him, and Adrien couldn't help but fall to his knees and let Kagami hold him as he cried.

She was still so gentle as she comforted him even at his lowest point and hummed a familiar piano melody he played that seemed like so long ago.

"I'll always love you, Adrien," Kagami whispered.

Adrien's blue eyes widened as he heard that, and Kagami cupped his cheek with her hand and kissed him. For a moment, Adrien was in Heaven, or at least he wanted to pretend he and Kagami were out of Hell as Adrien kissed her back deeply.

For just a moment, they could forget everything as they continued to kiss each other and taste each other's tears. But Adrien gasped and opened his eyes when he heard his father laughing in the distance. Kagami gasped at Adrien, quickly breaking their kiss, and Adrien's eyes were full of rage as he looked off into the distance.

"My father won't get away with this!" Adrien cried.

"Adrien no!" Kagami reached out to him, but Adrien felt hesitant. "You don't have to do this!" Kagami felt the inside of her mouth taste sour as she silently pleaded for him to stay with her.

Adrien jumped off the building as sparkling tears fell from his eyes. Kagami was speechless as she watched him go, but Adrien looked back one last time, praying she would stay safe.

And on a tyrannical manufactured island, Gabriel Agreste sat on his throne looking awfully pleased that he wiped out everyone in Paris he didn't deem worthy. And he still looked pleased that his son returned even if the mind control was broken. Adrien's blue eyes were piercing with rage, but Gabriel held his magical cane, ready to defend himself.

"You tried to sabotage me and Kagami and then used me as a tool for destruction!" Adrien cried.

Gabriel made a pleased hum. "And it worked out even better than I could imagine."

Adrien started shaking because Gabriel didn't care what he did to the world.

"How could you do this, Father?! You went too far! You could've been happy with Kagami and me, but you chose to throw that all away!"

Adrien was still taken aback by his father chuckling under his breath. Walking up to him and placing the jewel on the tip of his cane under Adrien's chin.

"And you have proven to be such a useful son to me," Gabriel said.

Adrien's claws bared, and he swiped the staff away. "No!"

"I am not your son anymore! I will make everything right and make Kagami the happiest girl alive, and you will be forgotten!"

Adrien was so full of rage, and he would give anything to make his words true. Gabriel looked at him with just as much rage as the jewel on his cane lit up with dark magic.

"You belong to me Adrien, never forget that!" Gabriel said darkly.

But Adrien's dark powers were charging up too. "No way! I will break free from you!"

Adrien cried out as he shot dark magic in the air. In the distance, Kagami navigated an abandoned boat through the rising ocean to get to Adrien. She immediately noticed Adrien's power and rushed to make the boat go faster.

This time, it was Gabriel's turn to tremble as Adrien's Chat Blanc form slowly shattered, and he was changing back into Chat Noir. Kagami climbed on top of Gabriel's island just in time to see the last bits of Chat Blanc fade away to transform back into Chat Noir.

Kagami's brown eyes lit up, and Adrien couldn't help but hear Kagami in the distance. He was taken aback by how she most likely put herself in danger rushing to him. But at the same time, she looked so adorable, crying happy tears seeing him back to normal, that he couldn't help but make a sly grin.

However, any moment of happiness was cut short by Gabriel charging up his dark cane and ready to attack. Adrien also powered up his claws and stepped in front of Kagami to protect her.

Adrien! My Adrien has returned! Kagami thought.

"Don't worry Kagami, I'll make everything right, I promise!" Adrien whispered to her.

Gabriel cried out and rushed over, ready to destroy both of them where they stood, but Adrien sprinted toward him and was prepared to strike a fatal blow.

Kagami gasped as everything moved slowly, and she tried to reach out. Adrien and Gabriel's powers hit, and they collided, causing a massive explosion to envelop them both.

"ADRIEN!" Kagami cried.

But all that came out of that dark cloud was Gabriel getting hit so severely that his body made a loud snap, and he fell stone-cold dead on the ground, unable to utter another heartless word. Then Kagami looked and saw Adrien badly bruised and flying toward her. He fell and rolled on the ground, and his body rolled harshly until he stopped in front of Kagami.

"Oh no!" Kagami cried as she held Adrien in her arms. Adrien's breathing was getting harsher, and he had trouble keeping his eyes open. Still, all he could see was Kagami crying over him and begging him to be okay.

Adrien chuckled under his breath and gave her a confident grin, but blood escaped his mouth.

"Kagami, I did it," he breathed. "I did it all for you…"

But Adrien coughed up some blood and fell limp in Kagami's arms.

"Adrien, please don't!"

But she couldn't feel his heartbeat; her beloved sunshine had left the world.

"Adrien!" Kagami cried as she sobbed in his chest. She would hold him and beg for him to come back and for her to wake up already, only for her to pass out on top of Adrien as the world went silent. After some time passed, two familiar heroes found them, and they couldn't be more dejected.

Ladybug carried the unconscious Kagami in her arms and fought back tears as she fixed the hairs on her forehead. It surprised her that Kagami was still breathing.

And Viperion cursed himself holding Chat Noir's dead body. He hated himself for not arriving sooner despite being the time guardian. Still, he would've killed Chat Noir for being so reckless.

"It's okay Kagami, we're here now. Just rest…" Ladybug said.

She turned to Viperion, and Viperion nodded as he activated his bracelet.

"Second chance!"

Kagami did wake up from a bad nightmare.

She could smell Adrien's scent and hear his soft snoring as they slept next to each other in a peaceful hotel room. Of course, she was happy that time got reset and her boyfriend was alive and sleeping beautifully, but they will have to live with these events for the rest of their lives. Still, Kagami sat up and held the blanket close as she watched over Adrien.

"We were so close to the end, Adrien," Kagami whispered. "But next time, I will be the one who protects you. I cannot lose you again…"

And then suddenly, Adrien gasped awake. His peridot green eyes looked confused as he stared right at Kagami, who was watching him. He had to take a moment to ground himself and remind himself that, at this moment, they were safe, but his dream deceived him.

"Don't even think about that Kagami, I can't stand that idea. I was supposed to be the one who protects you." He tenderly laced his hand with hers. "But I…"

Kagami looked deep into his guilt-ridden eyes and squeezed his hand. "You don't need to talk about that, Adrien. It's going to be okay." She placed her other hand on his cheek to cup it tenderly. They got lost in each other's eyes and forgot about that nightmare as they pressed their lips together to drown in each other's love.

They kissed and cuddled so much that they eventually fell asleep again in each other's arms, and all seemed normal again.

But in their dreams in another world, Adrien looked down at his hands, and he was Chat Blanc again, surrounded by Paris after its destruction. He looked around and wondered if he was in a time warp, but he stopped when he saw a familiar dragon girl approaching him. Although she was different than before, her outfit was darker and more sinister, along with her eyes, which only had a single sparkle.

"Hello, Chat Blanc. " Her voice was as smooth as butter, and then she gave him a pleased grin. "I am so happy to be joining you."

Suddenly, Chat Blanc couldn't help but resist as his smile curled up, and he eagerly headed toward her.

"Oh Ryuuko! You look so gorgeous!" He beamed. Dark Ryuuko giggled as she placed her hands on his muscular chest and gave him a seductive look.

"Oh, Chat Blanc, let's rule all of Paris together! No one will stand in our way!"

Chat Blanc laughed darkly as he took her hand to kiss it. "I like that idea! But let's kiss first!"

Ryuuko cupped Chat Blanc's cheek, and the two started making out and sharing their dark powers. Even the bright sunlight that shined on them would someday get snuffed out, and there would be no hope.

Adrien and Kagami gasped awake and were covered in sweat. When they realized they had dreamed the same dream, tears started forming in their eyes.

All Adrien could do for now was let Kagami rest her head on his chest as she cried softly. He stroked her back, ran his fingers through her hair, and tried to hold back his own tears. Kagami heard Adrien trying to be strong, traced pretty designs on Adrien's chest, and then laced her other hand with his.

They would always hold on to everything they held dear. But they also found comfort in the fact that they could be vulnerable together. They could hold each other through the night if they couldn't face the world right now.
