Skye woke up the next morning to a knock on her bedroom door. She groaned.
"I'm sorry to wake you up. But Ivy is here. She says it's important," Pepper said.
Skye sighed, "Okay. I'll be out in a few minutes."
Pepper walked away from the bedroom and let Ivy know she would be out soon.
Skye got up and changed out of her pajamas and into a pair of jeans and a sweater. She ran a brush through her hair before clipping it up in a claw clip. She mumbled about needing a haircut before she went out and found Ivy in the living room.
"Hey," Skye said.
"Hi," Ivy said. "I'm sorry I woke you up but I can't sit on this secret anymore."
"Oh?" Skye said confused.
"Can we go to your room or somewhere private?" Ivy asked.
Skye took a breath and led her to her room. "Ignore the mess." She said.
Ivy nodded, she pet Harley who was on the bed before she sat on the window seat.
Skye sat on the other end. Both girls crossed their legs and looked at each other.
"I was at Central Park yesterday afternoon. And I saw Tucker was there. With another girl. I took a picture but figured I was just letting my past of being cheated on get into my head. Cause they were just sitting on a bench talking," Ivy said.
Skye nodded a little. "Can I see the photo?"
Ivy pulled up the photo.
"Oh. That's Lizzy. She's the girl Tucker got pregnant. I know they are friendly. They probably just ran into each other. Or were talking about their biological daughter," Skye said.
"Okay. Well, I felt like I needed to watch them just in case. After about fifteen minutes she kissed him," Ivy said swiping the picture over to see the two of them kissing.
"Did he push her away?" Skye asked.
"Well I got distracted by a loud bang and when I looked back the kiss had ended and both of them had gotten up and were walking in opposite directions," Ivy said. "So I don't know if he stopped it or it just ended. Which is why I was debating not telling you but I decided that you deserve to know. And maybe he will talk to you about it if you ask."
"No. I'm glad you told me. And to be honest. I think I fucked up our relationship anyway," Skye said.
"How?" Ivy asked.
"We were in the middle of about to have sex for the first time and I um. Kind of freaked out and stopped it. He did stop but I'm sure he was upset about it and of course, would go to the girl who did give it up for him," Skye said.
"Skye. He did walk away from her," Ivy said.
"I know. Maybe he saw you and realized he needed to cover his ass," Skye said.
"I mean. I guess it's possible," Ivy said slowly. "But maybe you should try talking to him about it?"
"We tried to talk last night. He didn't like that I was calling him out on ignoring me the last few days and he hung up on me," Skye said.
Ivy shook her head, "Asshole."
Skye nodded her eyes filling with tears.
Ivy moved closer to Skye and wrapped her in a hug.
Skye hugged her back and let tears fall.
"What can I do to help you right now?" Ivy asked.
"I think I just want to be alone. But can you send me those pictures?" Skye asked breaking the hug.
"Of course," Ivy understood. When she found out she had been cheated on she wanted to be alone for a while too. She sent the pictures to Skye. "You're sure you will be okay?"
"No. But I need to work through this on my own right now," Skye said.
"Okay," Ivy said before she got up and left the room. She said bye to Pepper when she saw her before she left the compound.
Pepper went and knocked on Skye's door.
Skye was already in her bathroom looking at herself in the mirror. She was picking at the things she didn't like about her body as things that were likely part of why Tucker felt the need to cheat.
"Yeah?" Skye said moving back into her bedroom and curling up on her bed.
Harley moved so he was curled up against her side.
Pepper went in. "Everything okay?"
"Yeah. Just had to tell me something. Everything is okay," Skye lied.
"You're sure?" Pepper asked.
"Yeah," Skye said.
"Okay," Pepper said.
"I'm going to get a little more sleep," Skye said.
Pepper nodded and left the room closing the door behind her.
Skye curled up tighter pulling the blanket over her head and broke down sobbing.
An hour later she dragged herself out of bed and back to the bathroom. When she had first been removed from the Norton's home. She had felt the lowest she had ever felt. And she had started to hurt herself. She felt like she had done something so awful that she deserved to be in constant pain.
When she had met Tucker and he found out what she had been doing he had convinced her to stop. He had been the constant in her life that kept her sane. Even when he was in jail when they weren't really talking she knew that if he ever found out he would be so disappointed. But she didn't care anymore. He had just broken her heart into a million pieces. She took a razer from a drawer, in her bathroom and broke the blade part. She ignored the whining from the other side of her bathroom door. She looked up at herself in the mirror before looking back down at her wrist and making the decision that nothing could hurt as much as her heart did now but at least maybe the physical pain could distract her mind long enough.
