-Manhattan, S.H.I.E.L.D. HQ-

Metatron, Cassandra, and Jacob hurried to Stalker's cell where outside stood Captain America and Captain Marvel. All of their faces were marked by grim expressions, some more angry than others. The Cat's ears flattened as she looked inside the cell, seeing Stalker standing.

"He knows his master's attacked."

Captain America nodded.

"Doctor Strange informed us he felt there's some connection between the two of them though of what kind we're not sure."

Jacob turned to the veteran.

"I thought you'd be out defending your home?"

The man sighed.

"We know the importance of military commanders and the sway they can have in the field. As of yet, there's been no signs of reports of anyone or anything seemingly commanding these invaders. So we suspect they'll come to free him to coordinate this battle."

Captain Marvel grumbled, hands clenched into fists.

"When I get my hands on this 'Imperious', I'll-"

Metatron gazed around them, ears up as he also sniffed the air.

"You have men stationed around this base. Some hidden while others patrol the perimeter and any conceivable entrance way."

Captain Marvel's eyes widened a moment then she nodded.

"Fury wants Stalker in chains so he can greet his master where they'll rot together."

The Wolf slowly nodded.

"From the small pieces of what your friend's soldiers have said, these invaders are more powerful than those that have attacked before. It's the start of the true invasion."

Captain America nodded.

"He waited to gather intel on our strengths and vulnerabilities, using cannon fodder tin soldiers to do the dirty work till he finally sent in his real soldiers."

Metatron nodded.

"He's a careful strategist. He will send soldiers to free his general, this one is more devoted to him than the sadist that led the armies against our home and thus is more valuable and trusted. I hope the men your friend has here will be enough."

Captain Marvel chuckled.

"And what are me and Army Boy? Chopped liver?"

"I don't know what that means, though I have a feeling you shall soon be called to battle."

Captain America raised an eyebrow at this.

"Did something like this happen in Faunia?"

Metatron nodded.

"When the Imperial City was attacked, two decorated and fierce commanders personally led the defense of the city. Uduak, a proud Lion lord, and Jorwawar, a fierce Tiger General, had been called to repel the first waves of soldiers."

Captain America rubbed his chin.

"Iron Man has personally flown out to defend the city and informed us he's having J.A.R.V.I.S. preparing to send out other Iron Man armor to aid in the defense and protect civilians."

Captain Marvel raised an eyebrow.

"Tony's a hotshot, but he'll get the job done."

Jacob stood with his arms crossed, gazing into the room where Stalker remained still and quiet. Cassie turned to him.

"If only one of the Badger interrogators were here."

A half hearted smile appeared on the Hedgehog's face. Metatron turned to Jacob and Cassandra.

"We may have to move the prisoner to another location. Jacob, you will be needed to move him while Cassandra scouts the way."

The two nodded.

Captain Marvel chuckled.

"Relax, Fluffy, they're not gonna get through all of us."

Metatron turned to her and before he could speak, the comms for both Avengers started going off. They both activating the call and a small holographic image of Tony Stark's smiling face appeared.

"Cap! Carol! Where the hell are you two?!"

Captain Marvel rolled her eyes.

"We're guarding the prisoner! I though you said you could handle this, Stark? Someone biting off more than they can chew?"

"Funny, Carol."

Captain America shook his head and sighed.

"Tony, what's the status out there?"

"More of these guys keep emerging from the portals, armed to the teeth in weapons and armor like none I've ever seen. i thought the Wolf said they only used swords and bows?"

"Stay focused, how many civilians are still in the line of fire?"

"This is Manhattan, Cap! Guess how many!"

The sounds of repulsor blasts were head through the mic.

"I can't count how many of these b* are flooding into the city! J.A.R.V.I.S. is still working on the One Many Army protocol!"

"How many armors do you have ready for him to oversee?"

"A couple dozen at least. Ha! Take that!"

"What?"

"Sorry, shot one of these things in the face with a rocket."

"Focus."

"Yeah, I know. J.A.R.V.I.S. gave me a heads up, about 10 more minutes till they're ready."

"I though you said he had a couple dozen ready?"

"This is his first time piloting multiple armors at once and never in this kind of scenario. He's loading up our strategies and city schematics to better work on the defense of the city."

"You said you had this covered."

"I underestimated the situation!"

Captain America pinched the bridge of his nose, grumbling.

"Someone has to stay here to guard the prisoner."

"Let Balto, Duchess, and Sonic handle that. I'm sure they've got it covered."

Captain America sighed and turned to the trio. Metatron nodded.

"Go, protect your home."

Cap gave a half hearted smile and nodded.

"Thank you."

He then rushed off with Captain Marvel flying above him to join him on the battlefield.

Metatron sighed.

"May you be victorious.

-Manhattan, City Streets-

Vulpine watched as if actual fire seemed to rage around Vixen as the sword in her hands began to shine with a fiercer light as she continued to cut down more of the enemy soldiers. The sword's brilliant light glowed more intensely than normal and the Fox could swear he saw a reminiscent glow in its wielder's eyes.

But he couldn't focus on this for long. One of the soldiers rushed at him, slashing with a curved blade towards his head. Vulpine parried the strike with his sword before taking a swing at the sword arm of his attacker. The soldier quickly blocked with its shield, the insignia of a roaring dragon's head in the center received no visible damage from the strike. The Fox gritted his fangs, ears flattened.

"Your shield won't stop me!"

The soldier then charged into Vulpine, the shield leading the way. It smashed against him and sent him skidding back. Vulpine grunted as he picked himself back up, eyes locking with his attacker.

"Traitor to his Eminence, for your previous service he has decided that you shall receive a quick and painless as possible a death as can be executed."

The soldier's voice was like that of a deep hiss, it reminded him of the bellows and hisses of the Crocodiles. Vulpine held his blade with both hands.

"If you manage to see him again, tell him I said: thanks!"

Vulpine lunged forward, parrying the sword strike from the soldier and slashed at the shield arm. The creature hissed in response, recoiling from the strike. It lost its hold on the shield but then backhanded the Fox with the sword narrowly not joining in on the strike. The Fox grunted as he fell back and looked up at the soldier.

He took a quick study of the armor. All seemed to be the same as when Imperious had sent his more powerful soldiers to Faunia, their armor more resistant to attacks and having stronger blades. However, he noticed the helm fro the soldiers didn't have the same holes for the eyes as they once had. Many Faunian archers had exploited this weakness multiple times given it was one of the few clear vulnerabilities these creatures had.

The soldier noticed his gaze and lunged forward, slashing down with the blade. Vulpine jumped out of the way.

"His Grace has enhanced our armor to match this world's strength. As he does with every world he conquers. What worked in Faunia will not so easily work here."

Vulpine feinted an attack from the right then aimed for a stab at the soldier's left hand. But the creature parried with his sword then slammed its fist into his face. The Fox landed on the ground again.

"His Grace also infused us with his knowledge of how you fight. Your tricks won't work."

Vulpine looked up and chuckled.

"Mine might not. I can't say the same for hers."

The creature turned to look in the direction Vulpine nodded towards, finding Vixen behind him. She growled as she cut the soldier in half with the sword, the two cut halves disintegrating.

Vulpine grinned.

"I'm so glad you've got that sword."

"Let's go! We've got more of these monsters to kill!"

Vulpine nodded as he jumped to his feet and rushed back into the fray.

Vixen grunted as she slashed with her sword, cutting another soldier in half by the midsection. The blade was not deterred by the armor or shields of her enemies. She felt the rage building within her and she freed it within the ferocious wrath of the blade. Like fire made steel, the sword cut through everything in its path that was deemed to be evil. It was a holy rage.

The soldiers moved to counter though, shields up and spears out. Thrusting with their pollards, attempting to at the very least strike the sword from the Fox's hands. This didn't halt Vixen though. Her blade cut through the weapons as she leapt up and slashed down. Then soldiers then broke formation and surrounded her.

Vulpine grunted as he rushed forward, slashing with his sword behind the ankles of one of the soldiers, managing to knock them down as a hiss of pain erupted from the creature.

"Don't let them surround you!"

Vixen's chest heaved as she held the sword at her side, both hands gripping the pommel. Her ears were flattened and her fangs bared.

"You'll all will pay for you and your master have done to all the worlds you've ruined."

The soldiers didn't respond, only unsheathed their blades and charged. Vixen yelled as slashed with her sword, the fire from it blazing brighter and fiercer unleashing a wave of energy that incinerated the weapons. The Fox didn't stop to admire this, she only lunged forward and cut another of the creatures down.

Vulpine, however, stood in utter amazement.

"Such power."

Not to far from them, Iron Heart blasted with her repulsors at every soldier should could. They had swarmed the area closest to them and had been trying to shoot her out of the sky with their blasters. She flew around the blasts, every so often cutting through the energy blasts with her naginata. She gritted her teeth as she tried to secure locks on the soldiers with her missiles in the armor.

"Take this you bastards!"

Compartments from around armor extruded and fired out several rockets at the soldiers, the missiles collided with many of the creatures. Some of the soldiers hissed as they blocked some missiles with their shields while other rockets struck the heads of other soldiers. Those latter ones dropped onto the ground from the blasts.

She grumbled as she fired off blasts at other soldiers, some barely holding their ground against the furious attacks of the Secret Warrior. Riri could feel the sweat pouring down her body as she continued to try to destroy as many of the soldiers as possible.

"Come on you bastards!"

She continued to cut through more of the soldiers with her naginata, the blades slashing through more of the weapons of the soldiers and continued firing off repulsor blasts. Then her gaze fell upon civilians fleeing and a few soldiers chasing them. Iron Heart flew forward, cutting through the blades of the creatures and then landing between the soldiers and civilians.

"No way!"

Iron Heart lunged forward, slashing with her naginata and cutting a gash through the shields in front of her though it didn't cut through them entirely. She gritted her teeth and jumped back whilst firing off more repulsor blasts, knocking the creatures down.

She saw in the distance watching Iron Man firing off rockets at multiple soldiers, the missiles knocking them down or sending shields flying as he also fired off repulsor blasts at more of them. Then she activated something in her armor.

From the cube that flew above her, several drones flew out from within it and then took flight around the area. From them, lasers fired out at the soldiers. Unlike Iron Heart's or Iron Man's armor, they way these drones flew was more akin to the way a fly would maneuver as to avoid the strikes from an annoyed person or animal as they peppered the soldiers with lasers. Iron Heart chuckled at this.

"A little more aerial support."

She then lunged forward again, slashing with her naginata.

-A Few Blocks Away-

Captain Stacey rushed back into the streets, he and his officers carrying assault rifles as they made their ways behind the cars in the streets several yards away from the nearest invaders.

"Take them!"

The cops began firing, the bullets just being blocked by the shields as the soldiers protected their flanks. Stacey gritted his teeth at this.

"What are these things?!"

He looked up to see Ghost Spider firing off crossbow bolts as she ran along the walls of the buildings in the immediate area. The bolts cut through the parts of the shields and armor they struck. This received hisses of annoyance or pain depending on where the bolts hit. Ghost Spider growled as she fired off web blasts at the invaders.

Captain Stacey scoffed, shaking his head.

"Never thought we'd be doing this together!"

Ghost Spider leapt away from an energy blast fired at her.

"Well let's not make a habit out of it!"

Ghost Spider then leapt back towards the invaders, firing off bolts and web blasts in together. Web blasts covered the helms of the soldiers they hit then the bolts cut into the helms, destroying the soldiers on impact.

-Another Part Of Manhattan-

Patriot bashed his shield against the shield of one of the invaders, trying to knock them back. However, the attack didn't make the soldier move even an inch. He quickly then used his spear to block the strike from another's sword as it attempted to lunge forward.

"You guys are a lot tougher than the last ones."

The Secret Warrior then jumped to the side before lunging to one of the soldier's' flanks. He then struck out with his spear, slashing at their feet. The attack cut off their center of gravity and knocked onto the ground. When he attempted to go for a stab with his spear, the other soldier rushed forward and parried the strike with his sword.

Patriot gritted his teeth as the soldier was face to face with him. He then bashed his shield into against its helmet, knocking the head back slightly before he pulled his spear back and aimed for a stab at the throat. But the soldier had brought his shield up, the point of the spear managing to go through the shield though not far enough to strike the soldier's neck.

"Crap."

Suddenly an arrow of light cut into the soldier's throat, destroying it instantly. Patriot turned, seeing Squirrel Girl waving at him from atop a car as she proceeded to fire more arrows from her bow. The soldiers blocked with their shields, though like with Patriot's spear, the point of the arrows did cut partially through the shields.

Patriot readied his spear.

"They're more coordinated than their previous counterparts! We've gotta find away around that!"

Squirrel Girl looked at the soldiers for a moment then lunged forward. Patriot's eyes widened as he this.

"SG! Wait, you can't just-!"

Squirrel Girl had leapt over the soldiers as they aimed to stab at her with their spears. She quickly then fired off an arrow, the missile cutting into the space where the back of the elbow met the upper part of the arm on one of the soldiers. The soldier hissed as the arrow had cut through the armor there.

The young heroine grinned as she landed on top of another car before firing another arrow, the missile flew forward and struck the back of the leg of another soldier just under the space where the elbow would be level with. This caused the entity to drop onto one knee, bellowing in anger and pain.

Squirrel Girl then unleashed another arrow for each of the creatures she'd injured, both striking the spaced just beneath the back of their helms and destroying them immediately. Patriot's eyes widened at this then turned to Squirrel Girl who had a toothy grin on her face.

"Not so tough are ya, boys?!"

Patriot rushed forward, using his shield to lead the charge as some of the creatures turned to face SG after her taunt. But one of the soldiers quickly blocked his attack with its own shield. However, the entity found an arrow through its throat before it was also destroyed. Some of the soldiers rushed forward, bellowing, as other moved to surround Patriot.

SG grinned as she jumped forward. She landed on one of their shield then lunged forward then twisted in the arrow and fired an arrow that struck that entity's shield arm between the elbow and upper arm. She grinned as she turned again, firing an arrow that cut through the side of the throat of another soldier before it turned to ash as well.

Then she landed on the ground and fired an arrow at one of the soldiers that aimed to mob Patriot, the missile cutting into the back of its leg and dropping it onto one knee. Patriot quickly then slashed out with his spear, sweeping one of the soldiers off its feet as its flank was no exposed because of the other one having been injured. He then jumped onto its chest, stabbing the spear into its throat.

Squirrel Girl then fired off more arrows, cutting into the other soldiers' throat and destroying them. The grin on her face had only grown. Patriot's chest heaved as he turned to her.

"H-How did...How'd you know that would work?"

Squirrel Girl chuckled.

"I've always been good at thinking on my feet."

Patriot almost laughed.

"C'mon, there's still a lot more to deal with."

SG grinned.

"They won't know what hit them."

-S.H.I.E.L.D. HQ-

Metatron, Cassandra, and Jacob stood at the door to where Stalker laid imprisoned. Despite his normally quiet demeanor, they could hear him chuckling. The Cat gritted her fangs.

"Please, someone shut him up."

Jacob turned to her, whispering.

"If he boasts about his master, he may give away something vital."

Cassandra grumbled but nodded to her friend. The samurai just gazed from his cell at the trio, a partial smirk on his face.

"He comes. My master has sent his legions against this world."

Jacob turned to him.

"Don't be so sure of his victory."

Stalker simply smiled.

"Time will tell."

Cassandra hissed.

"Yes, it will."

Metatron remained quiet, his senses focused on what laid around them. The sounds of several footfalls was heard though the owners' scents didn't alarm him. Around a corner, several S.H.I.E.L.D. agents rushed through the halls. Jacob turned to them.

"Did your leader call for you onto the battlefield?"

A few of the agents turned to him whilst the other continued to hurry.

"New York City isn't the only place under attack. China has also been reported to be other invasion. There's more calls coming from around the world of portals appearing and monsters in armor marching from them."

Metatron frowned.

"Just like Faunia. He sent legions of his troops around our world to attack the different clans to separate us once he unleashed his true soldiers onto the field."

"We're going to coordinate with agencies and governments around the world to attempt to form some a network of communication in case we lose ground."

"Go, quickly then."

The agents nodded and hurried off.

The Wolf grumbled, his arms crossed.

"He's using the same tactics like before. Only he doesn't have that sadist leading his armies."

"Wraith was an overzealous brute. My master used him as an effective weapon to demoralize enemy forces...but his growing bloodlust and ambition reared its ugly head on your world truly, that's why he was dealt with here."

Metatron didn't turn to Stalker as he spoke.

"Had Jorawar not be overrun by that butcher's vanguard, the Tiger would have slain him that day."

Stalker sighed.

"Imperious has the Tiger's blade and armor in his hall of worthy foes. The Tiger's resolve impressed him."

Metatron snarled.

"Destroying our home wasn't enough for him then."

Before Stalker could respond, the sounds of an explosion erupted. The trio turned in its direction though they didn't see any damage to the walls in the immediate area. Metatron sniffed the air then growled, fangs bared.

"They're here."

Cassandra hissed.

"I'll roast them."

"No, stay here. Your fire and Jacob's magic are the best weapons used to together to defend against multiple attackers. I will try to hold them off or at least lead them away."

"Sensei, but-"

"I trust you two to keep him from going free. I'd only get in the way of your magic. Stay alert!"

The Wolf then rushed off.

Cassandra sighed, lowering her head slightly. Jacob rested a hand on her shoulder.

"Don't worry, none of those monsters can defeat him."

Cassandra gave a half hearted smile.

Metatron rushed through the hallway and made his way in the direction of where the sound had come from. He soon laid eyes on multiple invaders moving into the base, a massive hole having been created by the explosion. The Wolf growled, ears flattened.

"You will not free him!"

He then rushed forward, dodging the slash from a sword strike from one of the soldiers. He slammed an open palm strike against that soldier's helm and knocked it back. The Wolf then quickly disarmed the creature of its sword then took the blade in his hand. With this he parried the strike from another sword before jumping up, striking one knee against the entity's helm and knocked it onto its back for stabbing the blade through the creature's helm and turned it to ash.

Then he knocked aside the slash from another soldier, twisting his body with the stick and slamming one foot against the soldier's helm. This pushed the entity to the side before Metatron had landed on his feet and slashed again, the blade knocking the shield out of its grasp. With this, the soldier turned and tried to bash the pommel of the sword against the Wolf only to find the blade also knocked out of its grip. Metatron then had decapitated the soldier with one strike of the blade.

Metatron turned to the other soldiers, their shield locked together and spears out. The Wolf growled as he dropped the sword then his body became engulfed by light. From it emerged Metatron in the form of a large snarling wolf. His eyes blazed and his lips peeled back to revealing large fangs. He lunged forward with a snarl, his jaws open, as he charged at his foes.

Cassandra and Jacob listened as the heard the growls of their sensei and metal meeting metal. The Cat nodded in the direction.

"He'll be done with them soon."

Soon the sound of another explosion rung out, closer this time. Cassandra and Jacob turned, seeing soldiers rushing towards them having entered through a nearer wall. The Cat growled as she shot a stream of fire in their direction. The shields of the creatures locked together as they moved to block the attack.

Jacob raised one hand and the shields began to shake in the soldiers' hands before they flew off them and onto the floor. The fire soon engulfed them, the hissing and screeching almost melded with the roar of the fire. The figures of the soldiers shook and almost flailed as they tried to march through the flames. Cassandra gritted her teeth at this.

"Burn! Burn to ashes you monsters!"

Jacob turned as he saw more of the soldiers racing towards them from another direction. He lifted his hands and some of the soldiers' shield flew from their grasps. The Hedgehog then motioned with the same hand, sending the shields flying at their former owners. They bashed against the armor, striking from different directions as they circled and flanked them. The creatures dodged or parried the strikes with their blades though they weren't advancing.

Jacob turned to Cassandra.

"These ones aren't much less vulnerable to pain than their predecessors."

"Good, we'll make this hurt then!"

Cassandra motioned with her hands in swift and short arcs. The fire began to move at different angles, the flames racing around in circles the soldiers as if they were caught in small twisters of fire.

Jacob couldn't help but grin at this.

"I can't wait to see you teach that boy that technique."

Through the Cat's snarl, a small chuckle emerged.

"He's not ready for that yet."

From the fire, more figures appeared. They charged through the flames, battering aside those caught in them. Cassandra hissed as she moved to send another large stream of fire forward. However, one of the soldiers had rushed forward faster than the others and charged into the Cat and Hedgehog. Both were knocked to the ground though the soldier had been incinerated by Cassandra's fire. Cassie jumped up and let loose a fireball at the soldiers. Some of them had quickly blocked the immediate path to where Stalker was held, their shields defending their position.

Jacob then thrust a hand forward, sending the soldier flying back into the flames. They quickly then saw Stalker emerge from the door. Cassandra hissed louder than before, her fangs bared. Stalker sighed.

"A valiant attempt at defending this position."

"You're not free yet!"

Cassandra lunged forward, firing surrounding her clawed hands as a burning aura. She slashed with her claws towards the samurai's face, but her target moved his body just out of range of each strike. The Cat then kicked out with one foot, a fireball manifested from it and raced forward. Stalker kicked up the shield of one of the fallen soldiers and blocked the attack.

Jacob then gripped his hand into a fist, crumbling the shield into a ball of metal then tossed it aside. He then thrust his other hand forward, sending another shield flying at the samurai. Stalker cut one hand down and knocked the shield onto the ground.

"You master has trained you well. As has mine. Let us see who was taught better."

Cassandra growled as she threw both hands forward, sending a stream of flames at the samurai. Stalker leapt over it and aimed for a jab at the Cat. The Hedgehog had jumped up, motioning with one hand and sent Stalker flying against one of the walls. This was followed up by Cassandra unleashed another fireball at him, only for Stalker to quickly block with another shield.

Then he kicked another at his feet towards the duo, though Jacob blocked its movement with his other hand. Stalker grunted as he felt the shield begin to give way to the fire. Cassandra slowly stepped forward as a stream of fire shot from one hand.

"You and your master will burn for what you've done! Our dead will be avenged!"

Stalker then kicked another shield forward at Cassandra, who leapt up and evaded the attack. This caused her fire to not take a direction path towards the samurai which led Stalker to rush forward. Jacob held out his hand again, pulling the shield from Stalker's grip only for the samurai to kick up then kick a shield at Jacob. The Hedgehog had turned to avoid the attack only to find the soldiers that he had kept at bay earlier with their own shield now rushed him.

They tackled him and Cassandra to the ground, restraining them long enough for Stalker to hit each of their neck's with a strike from a few fingers. Below their necks they felt their bodies go limp. Cassandra hissed.

"Nerve strike."

Stalker nodded.

"One of the many things I was taught."

Jacob glowered at him.

"So what now? Finish off two more rebels?"

The samurai knelt down and shook his head.

"No. My master doesn't wish for you two or your sensei to be killed."

"What?!"

"Your people's spirit and courage impressed him. We have spoken often about what happened to your world, speaking on how it would be restored once he shaped reality to his design. You three are a living testament to your people's incredible passion and strength. He wishes only for the three of you to be captive and held until Faunia is restored."

"You master destroyed our home!"

Stalker sighed.

"A casualty of war. Still, your home showed a powerful stand against his power. Warriors and generals like Lady Rajani, Subaru, Uduak, and Jorawar had such wills that my master wished to have you fighting alongside us. He respected your people and consider them amongst his most worthy opponents."

Cassandra's visage of rage soon started to be overcome by tears.

"Our home...our people...our gods...they're all gone...you cannot undo what you've done!"

Stalker turned to her.

"With the power my master will soon once again wield, he can and he will."

He then turned to the soldiers and nodded.

Metatron raced through the hallways, still in his wolf form. His jaw was caked in ash from the remains of the soldiers he'd slain with his fangs. He'd heard the sounds of battle not long after he attacked the soldiers though he'd had to finish them before returning. As he turned a corner, his gaze locked with that of Stalker. The Wolf growled, his jaws opened to reveal every single fang.

He didn't take a step forward, however. Beside him, the soldiers held their blades against Cassie and Jacob's throats. Metatron's ears lowered at this then turned his gaze back to Stalker.

"Sensei Metatron Arch. Renowned martial arts master of Faunia."

Metatron's body became engulfed in light and returned to his common form. The Wolf still bared his fangs at Stalker.

"Release my students! NOW!"

His bark felt like a roar. The samurai grinned.

"The Wolves were always held in high esteem by my master. Your love for your people and your loyalty once earned was unshakable."

"Don't try to flare my people after you had them killed."

Stalker sighed.

"They shall be restored. Do not fear for your students though. We only want them and you alive and well."

"Forgive me if I find that hard to believe."

"My master had promised to bring life back to Faunia after Wraith ruined it despite its arguable necessity. He wishes for peace in reality and he knows you, your home, and your people deserve a life beyond your wildest dreams. We don't have to be enemies."

Metatron was quiet for a moment, tears began to roll down his face.

"Tell that to my wife and my clan, both your master killed!"

Stalker sighed.

"Restrain him."

Metatron had heard them coming. S.H.I.E.L.D. soldiers turned a corner and fired into the back of the invaders. The energy blasts peppered them and caused their formation to break. Stalker turned from this attack to Metatron.

"Still as strategically sound as ever."

"I meant what I said."

"I know. We'll meet again."

Suddenly a portal emerged beside him. The samurai jumped into it as Metatron had been rushing forward, only for the portal to appear just an inch away as the Wolf lunged at the samurai. Metatron turned back to where the portal had been, not even facing the direction as the S.H.I.E.L.D. soldiers continued to fire at the invaders.

"Yes...we will."

He then turned back to the soldiers and lunged with a snarl.

To Be Continued...

AN: Everyone please let us know what you think. Once again huge shoutout to Story's Shadow for his amazing work. Next chapter the invasion continues... and nowhere is safe... see you all then.
