HelloEver22: Yup! Every Commander will have their strengths over other Commanders. After all, they've been fighting the Sirens for quite a bit longer than Liam has. That said, he's a pretty fast learner, is quick to adapt/fake it til he makes it, and has a whole island of near never-ending resources to help him stay supplied and keep up with the others.

Kalli: To answer your question, only Yang's Eugen, at least for now, is from WG. It was mentioned early on in the story, but no two Commanders can 'construct' and get the exact same shipgirl regardless if they used the same information template base no matter how many times they do it. That being the case, AL versions take precedence unless they don't for whatever reason, like if another Commander has them before Liam constructs them, which will happen. Don't worry though, it's only just two shipgirls in his fleet. Oh, and bare in mind that because each Commander has an 'exclusive faction', he will NEVER get shipgirls from the Sardegna Empire, Dragon Empery, or Tempesta just like how none of the other Commanders will ever get any shipgirls from the Northern Union... so don't ever ask for Littorio. It won't happen.

Chapter 18

- With Eugen's fleet, specifically the vanguard -

September 8th, 2023 - Evening.

"...Crap! Crap, crap, CRAP!"

With widened eyes, and barely a second to spare, Kii narrowly evaded the second Siren Elite's beam cannon fire as it cut straight through the battlefield, even taking out some of her own forces who couldn't move out of the way fast enough.

'... If I was even one second slower..!'

"Heh. Don't worry. Even if that attack did hit you it'd at least leave you breathing," mockingly reassured the skimpily dressed, golden eyed Siren Elite with long, white blue/lavender hair smugly smiling down at the heavily breathing ravenette battleship. "I'm super nice like that, y'know?"

"...Tch!" 'Damn cocky Siren slut!'

"Cat got your tongue? Well, doesn't mater. Let's get back to to beating the shit out of each other, shall we?"

"... Bitch!"

"Hey now, that's not nice. I'll have you know that this here Purifier is the nicest Siren you'll ever meet! Honest!"

*BBBOOOOOMMMM*

Seeing Purifier's annoyingly smug smile and guns aimed her way, Kii quickly put up her ether shields before countering with her own rigging's guns.

*BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!*

Water sprayed, explosions rattled off and sparks of ether flew every which way as Kii and Strasser's fleets took on the hammerhead shark like mecha riding Siren Elite while one of Admiral Yang's fleets, led by the bow wielding Eagle Union Aircraft Carrier Enterprise, took on the Siren Liam and his shipgirls fought just yesterday alongside Saratoga's fleet.

'Compared to us, those other shipgirls only need one group to take on that lance wielding blue haired bitch...! Dammit!' Kii, and the rest of Liam's shipgirls for that matter, couldn't help but feel frustrated at seeing how far behind they really were compared to both the Sirens and that other Commander's shipgirls. Luckily, instead of letting those feelings of frustration get them down, they instead gave them that much more motivation to fight harder, something Purifier took note of, even smiling at the sight.

"... Heh!" 'Tester was right. While they might still be a fair bit weaker and less experienced than those other kansen, they definitely have much faster learning speed and growth potential. And there's the two Commanders... they're doing the smart thing and focusing on keeping our grunts from supporting us or properly reorganize. If nothing else, I can see why Tester's so interested on keeping an eye on them all.'

"And what the hell is with that smile, huh?" half asked, half shouted a very irate Jean Bart as she tried to strike the smug looking Siren Elite in the face once her shields went down from their earlier combined artillery barrage. After all, she couldn't let such a prime chance to punch the bitch in the face just get away from her like that.

Seeing the brunette, ponytail'd shipgirl leap up into the air and ready to hit her with a haymaker aimed for her pretty face, Purifier couldn't help but let her grin grow even wider at the sheer audacity of it all. "What's this? Throwing punches like some wild savage? I mean, I'd expect as much from humans, but from a kansen? Now I've seen everything!"

"Fuck off you Siren cunt!" Jean Bart roared, completely swallowed up by her normally suppressed battle lust. Unfortunately...

"Oi, Jeanie! Look out!"

"...Huh?"

... that was exactly why she was too late to register Alabama's warning until it was too late.

"... Heh! Nice try. And oh so close too!"

."..!" 'Ah, merde!'

Jean Bart's vision was swallowed up by the blinding flash of light from the two floating attack drones that had, up until that point, not moved a single millimeter from Purifier's side, only becoming active the exact moment she came within spitting distance of Purifier's smiling face.

*BBBOOOOMMMM!*

"...Aaaagggghhhh!" Jean Bart shouted out in pain as she took the bulk of the two point blank beam attacks right before she could defend herself or move and stumbling backwards a bit just when Kii and Alabama came over to help her. Meanwhile, Strasser's vanguard moved in to pick up the slack.

"... Damn that really, really hurt...!"

"You alright, Jeanie?" Alabama quietly asked in concern.

"... Oui, oui. I managed to deflect some of the bitch's attack, so the damage wasn't too bad."

"Well, just to be safe, pull back for now and try to catch your breath, okay?" Kii half suggested, half ordered.

"...Sorry. And, merci mes amis."

"... 's fine. Just leave the rest to us, kay?"

...

"...I, I'll leave the rest to you for now..." Jean Bart could only weakly smile and nod as she reluctantly pulled back to the rear, clicking her tongue at how badly she messed up just now and hoping she can recover quickly enough to get back into the fight.

- With the rest of Prinz Eugen and Peter Strasser's fleets -

"Poor Lady Jean Bart. She really let her emotions get the better of her this time," Belfast muttered.

"What, you mean forgetting her role and charging at that Siren Elite like a damn fool, you mean?" Vampire bluntly pointed out after cutting down another Pawn in front of her.

The super maid nodded. "Yes, that. Then again, seeing who our opponent is and how absolutely insufferable she's being, I can't exactly say I blame her for lashing out either, even if it wasn't the wisest move on her part."

"Oh, don't let her calm, cool and collected mask fool you. Frau Jean is probably one of the most emotional sisters in the whole fleet," Eugen corrected, her characteristic smirk never leaving her beautiful face. At a glance, she seemed the same teasing and indifferent shipgirl she's always been, but the look in her eyes told a very different story. Inside, she was absolutely seething just as much, if not more, than Jean Bart was. 'Unfortunately, at times like this, I have to make sure to keep a cool head... especially at times like this. Ah, it's tough being a responsible older sister sometimes.'

"Still, did that seriously mean that she had to go off the handle like that though," Vampire chimed in.

"Sadly, I don't think it could've been helped. What with who we're facing and how short Frau Jean's temper actually is. If anything, I'm amazed she held herself back for as long as she did," Eugen added before switching gears. "Anyway, let's focus on taking that sow down a peg or two for now, ja?"

"Indeed!"

"Yes!"

Nodding, the three coordinated with Javelin, Ayanami and Laffey to step up their offensive while Strasser, Akagi, and Taihou kept supporting them with wave after wave of attack drones and whatever skills they had that might could tip the battle more in their favor.

'...!? Huh? My movements. They're slower? ...How?' While she wasn't exactly moving around much to begin with, that didn't mean that Purifier wasn't doing any at all. No, the fact that she kept her movements limited meant she was that much more sensitive to any changes to her ability to do so, no matter how minute or insignificant they seemed. Still, in spite of all that, Purifier still couldn't help but feel overjoyed at their audacity. "Heh! Well, I don't know which one of you sneaky rats did this, but that was a smart move slowing me down like that! Won't really help you, but hey. Gotta do what you gotta do, right?"

"Hmph! Just shut up, you Siren jerk!" Javelin shouted while doing her absolute best to glare menacingly up at the smug, mecha riding Siren Elite... who just laughed at the purplette's poor attempt at being intimidating, which looked only like pouting to Purifier.

"...Pfft! AHAHAHAHA! Oh, m, my sides! First the blonde airhead, then that drunk bunny and now you're pouting at me!? It, it's too much! Shit! If, ahaha, if this were any other situation, I'm sure I'd be defeated by the sheer cuteness of it all!"

"...Hey!" Naturally, all Javelin could do was indignantly pout some more, eliciting another round of the Siren Elite laughing at her.

"...Airhead? Does, does she mean Ayanami?" asked a genuine confused Ayanami while pointing at herself, head cutely cocked to the side.

"..." *glug, glug, glug* As for Laffey? She just whipped out another oxy-cola(?)... from somewhere... and quickly chugged it down before firing her guns some more, prompting the others to do the same.

- With the 13th Fleet's shipgirls battling Tester -

"Well, if nothing else, you're all a fair bit tougher than that other Commander's shipgirls. Tougher, but definitely not as fun to fight though," Tester commented as she deftly moved out of the way of Yorktown, Enterprise, and Hornet's drones while countering Baltimore, Bremerton, and San Francisco's direct assault and gun fire.

"Hey! I think that's, like, the first thing she's said to us the whole time we've been fighting!" Bremerton exclaimed, amazed that the silent and serious Siren powerhouse actually spoke.

"Oh, is that right? Sorry about that," Tester faux apologized. "You see, I have my hands full coordinating what's left of our forces and keeping my teammate over there from going overboard with those other shipgirls. It might not look it, but I'm actually really rather quite busy."

Baltimore furrowed her brow hearing this. "Wait, are you saying that you're holding back against us?"

"Against you specifically? Not really, no," Tester admitted before thrusting her lance at Baltimore and blasting the others with beam cannon fire.

"So why hold back at all then? Whoa!" San Francisco asked as she weaved out of the way of the incoming beam fire and countering with her own guns, unable to understand just what the Sirens were thinking handicapping themselves like this when they clearly still had the numbers and power advantage.

"It's like I said. You might be more powerful and experienced but those other shipgirls are more fun to mess with and I want to see how much stronger they'll get, that's all."

"...That's, kind of messed up. Are you some kind of sadist?" Bremerton asked, not sure how to feel about Tester's answer as she tried, but failed, to break through her defenses.

Tester just shrugged before kicking Baltimore away and shutting down Bremerton while they were talking before firing off another barrage that managed to hit her dead center while she was recovering. "Not sure. Haven't thought about it. And does it even matter? We're Sirens, you're kansen. We're supposed to be fighting each other. Reasons don't matter. Anyway, 'job' or not, isn't it only natural to want to get as much enjoyment out of the job as possible while we can and for as long as we can? If that makes me a sadist, then oh well, I guess I am. At any rate, what about you lot? Willingly and repeatedly getting hurt trying to take on an enemy you know for a fact is stronger than you can only be called masochistic."

*BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!*

"...Kuh! Dammit!" 'Crap! I did NOT expect her to turn that around on us..,' Bremerton thought as she moved out of the way of another beam cannon attack, though still getting grazed on the cheek as it broke through her shields.

"What are you doing fallin' for her word games Bremmy!?" San Francisco chastised as she lightly bonked her confused friend on the head. "Leave all that weird S&M stuff for the bedroom and just focus on kicking that blue haired bitch's ass, yeah?"

"H, huh? Oh, yeah... Yo, you're right! Sorry about that Franny. She just sounded, I dunno..."

"It's fine, it's fine. Just ignore her, 'kay?"

"Ye, yeah. Thanks, Franny!"

Nodding, the pair went to help out Baltimore, who somehow managed to get close enough to force Tester into a close quarters fight while being peppered by constant drone attacks that kept the Siren Elite from getting away.

- Meanwhile, Hyperion's bridge -

"Hm. So far, so good," Yang muttered as he went over the battle data feeds being displayed on the large holoscreens in front of him. 'Still. I don't understand why the Sirens even went through the trouble of setting all of this up in the first place. It just seems... way too obvious.'

Two large diamond shaped blue icons represented the Hyperion and Liberty in the center while the smaller ones represented their respective shipgirl and Rosenritter forces taking on the currently disorganized remaining Siren forces.

'Well, trap or not, over half of their forces have been taken care of by now. Not that it matters since there's a lot of them left. Frankly, if this keeps going like it has, we'll end up fighting a battle of attrition that we'll inevitably lose once the sun sets and night comes.'

"Admiral?" asked his ever reliable and devoted adjutant, Frederica Greenhill, as she set down another cup of (some brandy laced) tea. "Is everything alright?"

"... sigh. It's just, time's not on our side and, unlike shipgirls, we humans don't have near limitless stamina..."

Frederica slowly nodded in understanding. "That's, true. Still, we should be able to finish off the other non-Elite Sirens before too much longer, no?"

Yang sighed and shook his head. "That's only because the two Siren Elites haven't actually gotten serious and seem more interested in testing our shipgirls. Remember Europa, when they actually did get serious? Frankly, it's crazy how wide the power gap still is between them and other Sirens... and that's not even taking what those so called 'Arbiter' types could supposedly do into account."

"Is our situation really that bad, Admiral?"

Yang shrugged. "Honestly? I don't know. For now, all we can do is focus on dealing with what's in front of us."

- Around the same time, Liberty's bridge -

"...I don't like this," Lima quietly muttered under his breath as he observed the battle going on, paying extra attention to the shipgirls currently engaged with the two Siren Elites.

"Commander?" Metis asked, noticing Liam deep in thought.

"It's just, this whole thing feels too easy. I mean, it's hard to forget how powerful those Siren Elites are once you've actually fought one even outnumbered six to one so this whole battle feels... off, y'know?"

Processing Liam's answer for a bit, Metis was forced to nod and agree. "I hate to admit it, but all the present data certainly does back those thoughts up."

"Right? I mean, just one Elite was bad enough but two? Nah, I feel like just the two of them alone would be enough to fight off everyone here, nevermind the cannon fodder grunts here or not. I just don't understand what their end game is or why they're even here attacking us in the first place... Er, aside from the usual reasons I mean," Lima said as he scratched the back of his head, genuinely stumped by the whole situation.

"Hmm. Then, perhaps their true goals lie elsewhere and not necessarily with us, perhaps?"

"Maybe, but the real issue is that we really just don't know and are stuck here trying to figure all out like lab rats in a maze..."

"...That, that might not be too far off actually," Metis said, albeit slowly and with a hint of uncertainty.

"You think so?"

"Yes. Based on our last encounter at least, it's very high likely the Sirens are collect data by forcing us to fight them, similar to why we ended up deciding to fight them ourselves.."

"Well damn. If that's the case, then that's even more reason we need to get out of here as quick as we can."

Metis nodded. "Agreed. If we don't know or can't guess what they're up to, then our only logical course of action would be to try and finish things up as quickly as possible or escape."

"Yeah, but the problem is whether or not we..."

Just then.

"Master! The remaining mass production and Executor type Sirens have successfully been eliminated and our combined forces are moving to reinforce the fleets currently engaging the two Elites," Sirius reported.

"However, the instant they started moving the two Siren Elites suddenly began to increase their own combat power in response," Sheffield added.

"... Great. Just fucking great. And we can't support them with our ether cannons now either. Not with our shipgirls all bunched together like that... Alright, whatever! Enterprise, put me through to Admiral Yang!"

"Ye, yes Master!"

- Back with the battle with the Sirens Elites, just a moment earlier -

"... Oh hoh? Heh, looks like your friends actually managed to wipe out our forces! And in record time even! Good, good!" Purifier mockingly praised, much to the various shipgirls fleets' confusion while her own literally inhumanly beautiful golden yellow eyes lit up with excitement at what was sure to happen next. "Well then! Now that this slightly extended prologue is over and done with, what say we begin the main and final act now, hmm?"

All of the shipgirls present couldn't help but gulp hearing Purifier's words and feeling the sheer amount of dense and oppressive power coming off of her and Tester.

"...Crap," San Francisco quietly muttered.

"Yeah, double crap," Baltimore added.

But, before any of the shipgirls or Siren Elites could make the first move, a sudden deluge of artillery fire and plane shaped attack drones rained down on the two Siren Elites from far behind them. Luckily, the many shipgirls had the sense to quickly move and get out of the way.

- With the rest of Liam and Yang's impromptu 'combined fleet' -

"...Ooohhh! So loud and pretty...~! Like, boom, and sparkly~!"

"...Hmph. Eldridge's lightning is still cooler...!"

"..." *glug, glug, glug*

Seeing the fruits of the other shipgirls' labor hit their mark, Anchorage and Eldridge were innocently captivated by the loud and flashy sight while Laffey, as nonplussed as ever, just quietly pulled out another oxy-cola(?) from, somewhere, and waited for the smoke to clear, her guns primed and ready to move at the first opportunity.

"...Are, are those three always like that? And where does the r, rabbit looking one keep pulling those out from?" quietly asked the small and shy violet eyed, dark brown haired Dragon Empery destroyer, Tai Yuan. "Um, and... do you think she'd share some with us if we asked...?"

"Hey, hey! You want me to go ask then?" asked Tai Yuan's energetic, twintailed and auburn haired, blue eyed fellow Dragon Empery destroyer, Fu Shun. "Actually, a cold oxy-cola sounds super good right about now too! What about you, An Shan?"

"Not now, you two! The smoke's clearing up!"

...

...And just like that, the bunny and her friends sped off.

- With Tester and Purifier -

With the last of the steam and smoke finally clearing up, Tester and Purifier slowly took in the sight before them.

*whistle!* "Hey, Testy. What are the two of us gonna do with so many serious, hot and bothered kansen staring so intently at us like this? Really, all this attention from so many cuties is almost too much and is gonna make me so wet if they keep it up!" Purifier observed, licking her lips as her bright golden eyes flickered with mischief.

Tester just rolled her eyes at her friend(?)'s usual crass and vulgar words and attitude.

"What? You telling me that you aren't feeling even a little bit aroused having so many cuties focused so intently on you?"

"No, not at all. Besides, you don't even like females in that way, shipgirl or otherwise."

"Aww~! Can't you just let me have my fun? ... Ugh, you're such a killjoy, Testy!"

Tester sighed and rolled her eyes. "One, we have a job to do. And two, they're shipgirls. They were never going to have any real interest in you or any other woman for that matter. You're perverse hobby of messing with people isn't going to work on them. If anything, it'll only just piss them off even more so could you please, not?"

"Hahahaha! Okay, okay. Welp, seeing as I can't get off trolling them, then... HOW ABOUT THIS!"

Raising her arm up into the air, a large sphere of highly condensed, bright blue ether quickly gathered atop her outstretched palm. 'Oh, this is gonna be good!'

Then, once it was fully formed, Purifier swung her arm down until it and the bright ball of dense, plasma-like ether was pointed right at the confused mass of shipgirls with her hand now mimicking a gun.

...

"...Bang~! "

- With the gathered fleet of shipgirls -

Seeing just what the mecha riding Siren Elite was doing, Bismarck's eyes widened as she called out to every other shipgirl in the field.

[Everyone, incoming wide area attack! Either dodge or put up a defensive field! NOW!]

At the same time, she and the rest of Yang's 5th and 6th fleets spotted the other Siren Elite headed their way and moved to intercept her while Saratoga's and the rest of Liam's fleets sped off to take on Purifier just as she launched her attack with the others who hadn't mad a move yet either hastily defend or evade as countless beams of light shot out of the blue sphere pointed at them all.

- Rear of the formation, Liberty -

"Shields up and evasive maneuvers!" Liam shouted as the three maids worked feverishly to avoid the last of Purifier's high output energy attack by moving the Liberty to the left of the battlefield with the Hyperion moved to the right while the retreating Rosenritter forces.

"Metis, how's it look out there?" Liam asked once they were safely out of the way of Purifier's attacks.

"Thankfully, so far no one's taken any heavy damage despite how sudden the attack was," Metis reported after reestablishing her connection with the remaining observation drones that hadn't been heavily damaged or destroyed throughout the course of the battle.

"And what about Admiral Yang and his forces? They were closer to the attack's line of fire and had to move slower while covering their Rosenritter forces. Are they alright?"

"They took some damage and won't be able to deploy the Rosenritter anymore either. The Admiral also strongly suggested we don't get directly involved in the battle any further," Sheffield reported.

"...Okay, but if we see a chance-any chance at all-we're gonna take it, so keep our own ether cannons charged and on standby!"

Acknowledging their orders, the three maids went about getting everything ready while continuing to move the Liberty safely out of the way but still within the ACSC's optimal firing range and position, just in case.

"...Are you sure about this, Commander?" Metis quietly asked so that only Liam could hear her.

After a moment of thought, Liam slowly nodded. "I am. And besides, it's not like we can safely retreat right now anyway, right?"

"...That's, true. With the Hyperion now out of commission for the time being, I really don't see any other alternatives either."

"Oh, right. Get me in touch with Archerfish."

"Commander?"

"Well, it didn't really work out too well last time, but maybe if we're the ones who handle the timing, I think what they tried last time would have a better chance of succeeding this time, yeah?"

"... And, you think that'll actually work?"

"Who knows. But, if nothing else, it should at least stall them for a little bit for everyone to let loose on them. that or try to make a run for it..."

"Alright. I can't say it's the smartest move we can play and I doubt the enemy would fall for that trick a second time, but it's not like we have any other ideas to try either, huh," Metis concluded with a resigned shrug before going to contact the hyperactive little blonde submarine.

- Back with the two Siren Elites currently engaging Liam and Yang's shipgirls -

In the tightly packed space of only a few several dozen or so meters filled with over fifty shipgirls bearing down on them, Tester and Purifier were (unsurprisingly) having the time of their lives as they fought/collected even more combat data.

"Hehe! These little bitches are something else, huh Testy?"

"...Well, they aren't as annoying as those obnoxious Europan theater kansen anyway," Tester grumbled while kicking Ning Hai and Ping Hai away before blasting Hood and a few other shipgirls behind them.

"Eh, they weren't all bad, not those weird pirate looking ones they worked with anyway. Well, their Commander was pretty annoying though," Purifier replied as she barely blocked Anchorage, Eldridge, and Laffey's fierce attacks while evading Strasser, Taihou, and Akagi's attack drones. Several minutes into the battle, however, the aircraft carriers had begun charging their attack drones with ether that would detonate either from direct impact or when shot.

*BOOM! BOOM! BOOM1*

"Whoa there! Wait, bombs!? Hey, Testy! They turned those plane looking things into bombs!"

"...Kuh! I know! Shit, that's annoying!" Tester cursed as several waves of explosions incessantly crashed against her ether shields with enough force to stop her advance and defend. 'Dammit! Now they're using rotating wave tactics to keep up a consistent bombardment with hardly any gaps between attacks!'

"...HHHAAAAAHHHHH!"

*CCCLLLLAAAANNNNGGGGG!*

Tester quickly pulled her lance in front of her in a high guard to block Izumo's sudden overhead, downward slash from her nodachi aimed with the full intent of bisecting her right down the middle.

"...Tch!"

Though caught off guard and very, very surprised by the sheer amount of strength and pressure the violet haired, oni of a battleship was putting behind her strike, Tester couldn't help but be impressed even as she stopped her dead in her tracks. 'She's strong. Very strong. And not simply because she's a shipgirl either... Ah, I see! She's one of them!' Tester, realizing who and what her opponent really was, called out to Purifier who, at some point, ended up getting forced into melee combat herself. "Be careful! There are several kansen specifically optimized to fight against Sirens!"

"Yeah, no shit! Kinda figured that out when this big tiddied, giggling airhead started wailing on m-Ow! Agh, dammit!" spat out an irritated Purifier before getting punched in the face by Anchorage again.

And, just like that, the two Siren Elites' realized that they weren't just outnumbered, but had several 'Siren Killers' mixed in the bunch too. But, before things could get any worse for them, the call they'd been waiting for finally came.

[Cluster 66 Observer to Operations Leader Tester: Primary objective of constructing front line bases for the upcoming invasion of the still resisting Sakura Islands and surrounding territories scheduled to begin in two to three weeks has finished and are ready to be used at any time. Additionally, the secondary objective scans of the occupied and disputed Pacific Region has also finished up. And, just as conjectured, subtle traces of 'META' type quantum signatures have been detected in and around the area, though none match any recorded samples within our database. No evidence of any direct contact with any local human settlements has been observed yet either. Based on that and past data, they are likely only observing the situation for the time being.]

Tester cracked a relieved smile hearing the timely news.

[Operations Leader Tester to Cluster 66 Observer: Report received. Good work. That said, Purifier and I will remain here a bit longer to collect more kansen combat data and will begin retreating in roughly five minutes.]

[Cluster 66 Observer to Operations Leader Tester: Acknowledged. In the meantime, I will begin the transfer and organization of the necessary forces and supplies from the occupied mainland territories our front line bases.]

[Operations Leader Tester to Cluster 66 Observer: Understood.]

...

With that bit of very good news, Tester and Purifier couldn't help but feel reinvigorated. Sure things were looking a bit tough for them at the moment but, now that everything was ready for their upcoming invasion, all that was left to do now see what else these kansen could do.

While the hectic battle between the two Siren Elites and shipgirls was taking place above them, Archerfish, Nautilus and Surcouf's submarine fleets had managed to get right underneath Tester and Purifier without being noticed thanks to a combination of being completely focused on the battle going on around them and the heavy jamming still blanketing the area. Luckily for them, it had thinned out just enough to open a secure comm link connection with the Liberty.

"Oh this is gonna be so much fun!" Archerfish squealed as she went over the plan Liam and Metis had come up with whoever the hell that other Commander was. "And we have the Commander leading us this time too, so there's no way we'll screw this up! Hah! That's right! This time, we'll show EVERYONE just what we submarines can really do!" 'And, since those scary big sisters will be in on it this time, they won't be able to blame us even if something does go bat shit sideways somehow! It's freakin' perfect! No, it's better than perfect! Just you wait you Siren gutter slunts! This time, we'll get our revenge and then some!'
