This is my second chapter of the story I wanted include this in the last chapter but there is just so much awesomeness so here ya
We see our three main characters faceing a big knight in golden armor holding his sword in front. This knight was twelve foot tall,had two horns of metal sticking forward on his helmet and something was shining in the center of his sword.
"That's the topaz",lief said "who goes there their", the knight said. "We are three travelers",Barda said "we come from the city of Del". "Well, you two come from the city of del",cal said "who is it that wants to know",lief said.
"I am gorl a knight of jaulus guardian of this place and owner of its treasure all who dare approach me are my enemies" he said and then placed his left hand palm in front of them and suddenly they couldn't move while Leif was being pulled towards him.
Jasmine (POV)
I looked back and saw the darkness fily looked at me and squeaked "they chose to fight the evil guardian there's nothing I can do", I said.
no ones (POV)
"it's no use resisting his power in that case",Lief said in thought Lief figured if he couldn't struggle away from gorel then he can least go towards him.
Lief charged and dodge gorels sword swing and ran of inside of the tree cave gorel saw Lief enter then saw Barta and Cal jump down with there swords and swiped, his sword on the pile of leaves causing both to get swept in a wave of leaves.
(Liefs POV)
I had dodge gorls sword swipe and headed straight into the cave and what I saw horrified me entangled in the vines were bones and skeletons "who were they?" ,I said after hearing a noise, I turned around and saw gorel approach me.
"Thieves,fools you dare try to steal my treasure!",gorl said I backed up and hit a round object with the back of my foot
"now you will join the others who have tried and your bodies will feed my vines as theres has done ,gorl said and then I raised my sword to block his sword which caused me to fall back.
Then I heard and saw a glow behind me their where all the vines converged stood three glowing flowers "those flowers what are they", I said "you know well what they are thief they are the lilies of life the treasures you have come to steal", Gorl said.
I then said,"your wrong" "I am never wrong",he replied "we didn't come to steal those flowers from you" "you lie",gorl said "he's telling the truth",Barda said while walking towards Lief along with cal.
Cals (pov)
"we're looking for something else", Barda said "huh stop insulting my intelligence you want them for yourselves as I did long I know it to be true", gorl said.
Cal had enough and said,"You are very low intellect fool gorl we did not know these flowers existence till you said it all we want is the oval shaped gem in your sword".
That had angered gorl and cal took his two swords and clashed with gorls sword and when cal was about to be hit by his opponents sword Barda switched places with him Lief said,"Cal,Barda".
While barda was matching gorels sword with his he said, "why do you care so much about these flowers? " and gorl replied, "when the Lillie's bloom you too,would wish to have their nectar too so that you may live forever but you shall not it is mine and mine alone"
"You wish to live forever?" barda asked "only I shall drink of the nectar then I will rule all of the seven tribes",gorel said.Barda said,"you are completely mad you speak as if the tribes were never ruled by King Adin" and then gorel said,"who is this king adin?" he said while pushing Barda away.
"He doesn't know of adin could he be?"leaf said but gorl interrupted him "I know of no such king" and he used his magical hand blast to knock back Barda and brought Lief and cal to the ground.
"I have protected the lilies of life the moment I laid eyes on them I know how much time is passed, but surely I would've known if this kid existed !" Gorel said with left hand still open indicating the effect of his technique. Lief said,"could he possibly have found the flowers even before adin became king?" and cal replied while trying to get up with his two swords for his hand "it is most likely".
No one (POV)
Barda lifted himself up half way looked to his left and noticed an armor body tangled in the vines that is similar to gorels armor and said "that helmet".
Meanwhile with jasmine she said,"why should we risk our lives just because they were too dumb to take my advice but they'll never make it out of there without my help". Kree then flew towards the darkness while jasmine said "kree where are you".Filli then muttered to her and she looked at him and hummed then replied "thanks you guys your the best" and they all headed towards the darkness to help their friends.
Gorel then said,"tell me of this king adin".Lief started from the beginning telling Gorel and Cal the story of the belt of deltora. He spoke about how the shadow lord cast his greedy eyes on the land of deltora.How separately the seven tribes each with a gem that possessed its own magic then of adin. A black smith by trade adin dreamt of a belt that would unite the seven gems and with the tribes to make deltora unconquerable. So it was that they drove the shadow lord from their lands but it was not over yet.
The Shadow Lord laid in wait his anger and envy burning through the ages.Adin became the first king of deltora and ruled the land wisely in time however the power of the belt was forgotten. Shadow lord saw his opportunity and sent his seven wing ak-babbas to the castle of Deltora and the belt was destroyed. These giant reptilian serpent shaped creatures with four wings carried the gems to seven of the most dangerous places in deltora. Although the soldiers fought long and hard they were no match for the evil they faced.Deltora's armies were vanquished and there cities laid to waste.
Cal (pov)
"All the tribes united behind Adin and the belt,to form a great army and succeeded in driving the enemy from their land",Lief said gorel then hummed and Lief replied,"then adin became the first in a long lines of kings of deltora"
"Your attempt to confuse me with a fairy tale is weak",gorel said "it's the true everything I told you is the tru!"Lief shouted but couldn't finish his sentence because of gorel telekinetic hand blast "enough you bore me long enough with your tells",gorel said Cal then said,"how stupid can you be when the kids telling you the true tale".
As gorl was about to strike Cal and Lief with his sword Barda called out "wait you coward" and gorl replied "what's this you dare you call me a knight of Jalis a coward"
Barda then replied,"you may wear the armor of a knight,but you are not a true knight gorl you do not fight with honor","what do you now of honor" gorel replied and then Barda talked about the armor bodies next to him and said,"there lies the armor of two other knights of Jalis they were your companions were they not,tell me how did they meet there demise?"
Then gorl monologed"my companions my two brothers ran toward the lilies" and lief said "your brothers?" Afterwards gorl replied,"I had to do it, I could not share the nectar with them,I needed a whole cup of it for myself my two brothers should have know that"meanwhile Lief,Barda and Cal looked at each other and nodded then walked to the sides while gorl was monologging.
"And so they and those who came after them became my enemies while my brothers fought me lilies wilted and the nectar fell to waste in the mud,but I did not despair The lilies were mine and mine alone all I had to do was wait until they bloomed again"gorl said
The trio circled around gorl, Lief was positioned on the right of gorl while Cal moved to left side of Gorl with barda placing cal right next to him. Gorl continued to talk,"As the new buds rose from the mud I raised a wall around them to protect them from intruders I did my work well never would the vines grow strong without my care, I cut branches from the trees that dare to resist them I fed the vines with the bodies of my enemies man,woman,bird or beast any who dared approached them".
Meanwhile jasmine perched on the top of a vine along with fili on her left shoulder said,"he's so evil". Gorl then finished his sentence,"this is the manner in which I have kept my treasure safe I have fought and defeated many adversaries and I have waited long for the lilies to bloom again but my time has nearly come surely soon I will drink of the nectar".
Without wasting any more time Lief shouted "gorl"and launched his sword attack but Gorel blocked him and pushed him back. This gave Barda and Cal a chance two pierce there three swords thru his left armpit. Lief said "you got him" but their victory was cut short for gorel laughted and emitted a shinny gold aura along with a high-pitched sound wave. Barda was shocked and said,"impossible how did he survive that blow?" Cal then said "your guess is as good as mine".
Gorl the stopped his glowing high-pitched ringing and turned his attention to barda and Cal he was about to grab both but Barda pushed cal to the side in the process he dropped his swords from his swords and gorl grabbed Barda instead Lief then shouted Barda name. "You believed you could defeat me you insolent thief you will suffer",gorl said and the. Stabbed Barda and thru him to the vines.
Lief shouted Bardas name as he walked to Barda then gorl knocked his sword out of his hand and cal said, "you'll pay for that that". Gorl then said, " now it's your turn along with him", "Gorl " jasmine shouted "you've turned good into evil in this place with your senseless jealousy and spite, you enslave the trees and banished the birds and all the guard something that isn't yours","I was only protecting my lilies"he said "listen Gorl this ends now",jasmine said then she drew her dagger and began chopping certain vines.
"No not my vines!", gorl said "run Lief and cal go to the middle",Jasmine shouted cal did but Lief was hesitant, "do it now" she shouted and then a big tree branch fell Lief said brief "Right" and ran.A scream was shouted by Gorl while the tree branch fell on him.
Day time
Light had shined through where the big tree branch fell from.Jasmine hanged on a vine when Lief and cal got up they saw gorls sword with a single gem. Lief then smiled saying "the topaz" and ran to the sword with cal in tow. When he reached to the sword he plucked the topaz from the middle of the gem and held it with both hands "we did it the symbol of faithfulness the topaz".
Then he remembered Barda and shouted his name. Lief then remembered and shouted Barta name ran to his body with cal behind him shook Barda body to wake him up then jasmine arrived. "Barda you gotta wake up you don't think he's,he's gotta be ok there must be something we can do",Lief said. Then cal said "Lief look" and he replied "what can I"and then jasmine said while grabbing his shoulder and said"lief", "what is it"he replied then jasmine said "look at the flowers"
What an outstanding sight the Lillie's of life had bloomed and the nectar started to run "the lilies of life, of course", Lief said and so Lief got a palm full of nectar from the flowers brought it over to Barda and poured the nectar in Barta's mouth nothing happed. Lief was sad then said "it's not true they don't work and now he's gone he was suppose to protect me".
Kree the raven flew in from the hole and perched on it. "What's with all the tears young master",Barta said Lief smiled, and said "barta your ok" and hugged him Barta groaned "easy" and Lief apologized. Cal then said,"barda I owe you a great deal if it wasn't for you I would have been skewered by that knight I am in debt to you". Barda replied "I'm just glad your fine what about gorl?". Then they picked Barda up by the shoulders and said,"knight of Jallis this is your final resting place I almost perished under this knight sword". All of a sudden the branch was destroyed and gorl emerged give of a tiny grunt noise he grunted and walked towards the lilies of life, but as soon as sunlight touched him his whole armor body fell apart with no sign of a body.
"It was only his armor",Barda said and then Lief said,"no way I think gorls body had crumbled to dust long ago,all that was left in that armored shell was darkness and will but once that armor was destroyed even that will couldn't continue it could not survive in the light and he thought he could live forever".
Barda then said,"it's funny after all that gorl was defeated by an old tree branch falling on him we sure got lucky". Jasmine intervene"luck I told the tallest tree what had to be done that branch falling on gorel was no accident" oh yeah he replied. Jasmine grunted and said" I promised the tree that it and the other trees would be rid of those evil life sucking vines if it just did what I asked".
Jasmine then said,"the tree said that the sacrifice of one limb was small in return for freedom". Lief spoke "looks like we've been saved by Jasmine one more time" then Barda said,"and what about you if you hadn't given me the nectar we wouldn't even be having this conversation"and Lief replied "well that's true".
All of a sudden Jasmine said,"oh I almost forgot" and then ran towards the lilies of life and brought out small glass vile which she in corked will crouching down to get three drops from the lilies and then they withered. Barda said,"it withered so quickly" and Jasmine said"it's only a bit but at least I got some it's a great prize these few drops may save someone's life". "Will they ever bloom again",Lief said, " ya I think so now that the sun is shining on them they'll grow even stronger",jasmine replied.
Kree the raven then landed on the hilt of Gorels sword and Cal then realized and said,"the nectar is not the only prize kree I'm going to need you to get of that sword for this". The raven flew to a nearby perch vine and watched Cal along with everybody they wondered what is he doing. Cal touched gorls sword and a bright light shined around him lief said, "what happened,what did you do cal" and he replied,"that was one of my abilities I can absorb the powers of my opponent whether they have been defeated or not,but theirs a catch I can't absorb their knowledge or skill".
After absorbing gorls abilities he turned around with baggey pointed in the direction of armor pieces,sword and said to Baggey"Ala all of gorels armor,sword and my dual sword". Baggey then opened her flap face and four rainbow color changeing fading tentacles popped out of her and extended to designated targets. First tentacle grabbed armor pieces with tentacle fingers for every piece of armor,second gorels sword and the last two Cals sword. When the tentacles grabbed there targets the items shrunk down to the size of small ball and the tentacles returned to inside baggy with the items in tow shrunk down.
Lief lifted the topaz up and said "the sun" and jasmine replied,"so that jewel you're holding is that what you've been searching for?". Then lief replied," this is the topaz according to the book it's the symbol of faithfulness-" jasmine then swiped it while saying "ya ya let me see it" he then replied "it said that the topaz has the power to bring the living in contact with the spirit world". While she held the topaz it shined and what felt like a second for the livening world felt longer for jasmine. When the topaz light dimmed down lief spoke "jasmine" and she said,"this gem can bring the living in contact with the spirit world that what you said right?", "yeah" he said jasmine cried and handed the topaz back to lief" then it's true my mother is gone was clinging to a hope that maybe she was still alive",jasmine said sadly.
Lief said her name and she said,"so I guess i'll just have to go with you on your quest" lief and barta looked at each other saying "huh"." My mother told me that what you two are doing is good and I should stay with you, you may be brave men but your also rash that's why I've got to go with you because I'm smarter then both of you combine,she said that our destinies and yours are one". Barta then replied,"what do you mean our?", and lief said" jasmines and fillies" fillie hummed happy then knee flew and messed with liefs hair he said," and knee's too but let's not forget cal,hater and baggey" barda replied "that bird is feisty" and knee flew and perched on the hole.
Cal was a little hesitant and decided to consolidate and he asked," lief can I borrow the topaz for a minute" lief asked "why" and cal said, "I would like to talk to my parents please". Lief was sad to hear this along with everyone and barda said, "cal you have helped us get this gem it's the least we can do" when Leif handed the topaz to cal like with jasmine the topaz shined and cal was surrounded in white astral plane clouds.
(Cal pov) spirit world
He had reached the spirit world look around two people voices said,"cal is that you son". Cal's attention was caught by a five and a half foot white man, short black hair,goatee wearing long sleeved lumber jack shirt,blue slacks,brown boots and a beautiful brown skinned woman four and a half foot has long blond hair down her back she wears a short sleeved shirt that's navy green,black skin tight pants and smooth turquoise shoes.
Cal then returned how he look without the extra muscle and his eye were back to blue. "Dad mom" he said as he ran towards and hugged both of them "I am so glad to see both of you I wanted to talk with you one last time ,because I have things to get of my chest" cal said and his parents the father said "we are glad to see you to" mother then replied "we don't have much time just enough for these four moments".
Cal began to cry then saying"I'm so sorry I had gotten the both of you killed cause I messed with the wrong creatures because I did good for others". "Cal it wasn't your fault our line of work always came with risks" and dad replied " we would have been sad if you hadn't done the right thing cal look over there" and cal looked to the left and saw construct of lief,barda and jasmine. "Those people are your friends and the boys are on a quest to free this land from the shadow lord they are fighting for the right reason and will free the land from the evil and jasmine will accompany them". His mom then said, " but they have only just begun and they will need all your great skill", "but mom dad" cal said. " how can I be of help to them if they new my other side they would scream and run or attack me cause of how I look", cal said. His parents then replied,"you must join them on their quest cal",dad said , "you have proven yourself worthy even though you don't feel like it but fate does not make mistakes". "When the time has come for you to accept the wild creation inside of you then you can tell them the whole truth", his dad replied they to the left and saw a huge shadowy nine foot figure with glowing purple eyes with small growling.
"Once you join them on the quest helped them as much as you are able and the best you can" mom said and they all faced each other and cal had a smile and said, "I love you both so much I will make you proud" and they replied, "we love you too son we will always watch over you never lose hope goodbye our great son".
Back to day time
The light of the topaz faded and cal was back to his red and blue eyes with small toned muscles back on his body he looked at the topaz crying and smiling "looks like I'm joining you guys on your quest" he said.
We see birds on the vine hole and squirrels chewing up the vines jasmine said, "I am glad to see the animals happy again" and lief said,"Is it great to see sunshine through the trees it feels like it's giving us new hope to keep going,you've done really well you two have helped rid the forest of the dark" and jasmine replied "don't go getting a crush on me" he said, "no it's not like that"and barda laughed while call smirked,lief said bardas name. "Relax I'm just teasing you know are we going to keep going or what" she said and lief replied" ya we already got our first gem the symbol of faithfulness" barda said,"as far as I'm concerned I go were the belt goes" jasmine replied "same for me with the cloak" cal chimed in" I am in debt to barda and fate has already decided" jasmine and barta laughed.
And so Leif obtain the first gem the topaz of faithfulness. Lief brought out a silver metal belt that had fancy chian links with seven medallions he placed the topaz in the medallion that is on his right palm and said " this is the belt of deltora my father entrusted me with it we will return the gems to each of the seven medallions on this belt", "wow it's such a pretty belt" jasmine replied and Barda said," we have the first of the seven gems of deltora Jarred would be very pleased you should be proud".
Cal spoke, "Everyone there's something I should tell you, Baggey Kazam deltora belt book" and shine with a rainbow tentacle popped out of her that held what he asked and the item grew just as he grabs it. They were all surprised and he spoke," I new about the belt of deltora all along I just didn't now you had it lief until you shouted the topaz, but before that I had a vision from the trees and they showed me the belt. Then he said "ala belt of deltora book"and baggey grabbed it and pulled it back while it shrank everyone was silent until lief spoke," you helped us" and barda replied, "as far as I'm concerned you've earned our trust". Jasmine,said" you can't be all bad after all knee and Philly like you" those two cawed and hummed. Cal had smiled and said," thank you all and look theirs a clearing" they all walked their look at the top of the forest of silence. "Wait how dod you get that book?" Jasmine asked he replied "got it of some grey guards".
As they reached that clearing barda said, " now for our next destination" lief finished," the closet place to this forest would be". Then Jasmine and Cal realized what their about to say and jasmine said,"The lake of tears there's no way I'm going there" and cal said, "you have lost your common sense". Barda replied,"a few minutes ago you two were determined to go with us" and lief said,"what's at the lake of tears that makes you this afraid?". Jasmine turned to the right hold her left harm while cal did the same only crossed his arms and knee squaked jamsine then said, "yes kree I know that is the territory of sorceress" and cal finished "the horrible witch theagan ". Lief said,"sorceress theagan" and cal with jasmine nodded yes.
Well that's the second chapter i know there might be a few plot holes but hey their were some plot holes in the show to and I misspelled a few characters names but hey like I told you all it's my fist time
