Hey every one heres chapter 11 now you will read of Tom's role
Tom's shop (day time)
Everyone in the group was surprised to see four gray guards at Tom's shop talking to three Ra-kacharze "you three are late if it happens again, there will be consequences!" Lead gray guard said. "We apologize we had to deal with a situation" ra-kacharze said "I don't wanna hear excuses, and you better have brought as much food as you're supposed to this time" lead gray guard. "Of course we did,its all in the kart" ra-kacharze said then turned to look at it with the other. Lief said" hm so the ra-kacharze give the food over to the grey guards and then what?" Tom walks to the said"well good morning to all,to my lords and lady ra-kacharze a find day isn't it" lief said "look its tom".
Lead grey guard said"enough small talk we're already late because of these fools" then tom said"that's not good sure you don't have time for a cold drink, Tom will see to the changing of the beast you should relax before continuing on your journey, it's a long dry way back to Dal". Lief said"their going to del!?" Barda added"it all makes sense now,all that food from noradz doesn't get thrown away it gets taken to the palace in del wich means that the ra-kacharze inspection is actually for the Shadow Lord".
Jasmine said" it's all so wrong the people of noradz are just being used, what would tira think if she found out that her people are actually slaves" cal added"probably her whole world would shatter". Lief said "the Shadow Lord, the grey guards, the ra-kacharze i'll never forgive them and especially tom when we came into his store before he acted as if he supported the resistance but now he's laughing it up with a bunch of gray guards" he got up slightly and went back down.
This surprised our adventurers "hey what was that i heard a noise!?"Lead grey guard said suddenly kree came and cawed zigzagging across the sky. Ra-kacharze female said"oh that pesky black bird again it followed us all the way from noradz" tom said ah and looked at the cart "this isn't good Toms seen kree before hasn't he?" Barda said jasmine said"yeah he has and I'm pretty sure he's smart enough to figure out the rest". Lief growled than the grey guards heading into the shop Tom said "please enjoy yourself at Tom's shop" he closed the door turned to the ra-kacharze said"by the way I must give you some bad news, unfortunately there are no beast for you to ride back to noradz so you'll have to walk".
"How can that be"female ra-kacharze said she was surprised along with the other two males"tom is very ashamed but the mudlets we set inside the barn for your return have been stolen by four wicked and crafty travelers". Male ra-kacharze said"you should've taken more care we found the beasts trying to get back to their field in noradz they must of thrown them off at our front gates" tom said "i see, and the travelers?" Ra-kacharze said"they brought evil to our halls they'll be staying in our dungeons for good!".
Tom said"that is good news indeed,as for right now why don't the three of you go to Tom's shop and relax there's some work outside Tom needs to finish but it shouldn't take long, then when the gray guards left, perhaps the three of you will enjoy a drink with Tom". Male ra-kacharze said"yes that sounds like a fine plan"and they walked right into Tom shop leaving Tom outside. Lief said"he can't be trusted, when we went to his store he fooled us just like he fooling them" when the door closed on the shop Tom turned to the cart.
Tom said "to anyone who cares to listen if you wish to leave a cart on observed and run to the bushes behind the shop, then this would definitely be the time to do so old Tom is the only one who would notice right now". "What kind of trick is he up to?" Lief said "I think he's trying to help us he's saying we should go hide in those bushes over there" lief argued"do you really think we can trust a word he says"! Lief said.
"I don't trust him anymore than you do, but we can't stay here" jasmine said barda said ya lief grunted. Cal said"come on lief don't look a gift horse in the mouth.
Day time (bushes out side toms shop)
The main traveling group hid in the bushes by Tom shop then Tom came to the bushes and took his hat off. "Tom almost forgot that these bushes need to be trimmed today" tom said "tell us tom what exactly is going on!" Lief said and Tom plucked a handful of bushes take leafs of the bushes put a few in his hat. Tom replied"just business as usual, my young friend" lief said "business huh" tom replied"that's right Tom is but a poor shopkeeper who looks after the needs of all of his customers".
lief said"that's a lie you know it! You sold us mudlets that belonged to the ra-kacharze and that you told him we stole them from you all you care about is money". Barad placed a hand on liefs shoulder saying"lief you may be right about him, but now is not the time" tom laughed. "How right you are my young friend, for Tom admits he finds it hard to resist the allure of easy gold" tom said "thanks to you we almost spent the rest of our lives rotting in a dungeon" cal said "actually Jasmine that was our fault cause barda and lief wanted to take the right path".
Tom said"your friend is correct what happened after you left Tom's shop was entirely your fault not his if you had taken the left hand and path as Tom advised the beast would never have caught the scent of their homeland and bolted like that". Lief said "but you're still a liar you pretended to be against the Shadow Lord and with resistance but we saw you today, talking to those gray guards, as if they were old friend of yours".
Tom said"obviously the three of you never cared to notice only your friend there did" and they all looked at Tom and his sign. Tom answered"tom's name looks the same whichever side you're on, it's the same weather you approach from the west or the east, it's the same weather you are inside his shop or outside it and tom himself is exactly like his name". Then lief realized"it's all about money" tom said "certainly Tom has never said otherwise has he, he's the same tom who pass through his shop he never chooses to take sides it's because Tom is not interested in things that are not his concern".
Lief said "your a traitor" tom said "not true don't forget tom saved your lives and because of that you are able to fight another day". This stumped lief "but that's in the past,right now Tom is the only one who knows you're here and he suggest you leave while you have the chance, tom will not take any responsibility if the gray guards pick up your trail so go quickly and quietly and be sure to take all of your belongings with you even your garbage". With that Tom laugh turned around and walked away leaving lief grunted and upset.
(Day time) somewhere in a forest far from Tom's shop
Our group was walking through the forest and then stopped to talk about what they've been through. Jasmine said"you've gotta admit he still saved our lives back there really it's more than I expected there are a lot of animals who only look out for themselves and I wouldn't say they're bad". Lief countered "yeah but he's a human being not some animal that means he should know right from wrong" jasmine said mockingly "that means he should know right from wrong".
Jasmine said"spare me like you've never done anything wrong before Mr. perfect" lief said "what are you trying to say!?". She replied"i'm saying, who are you to judge this might come as a surprise to you but you don't know everything so stop walking around here thinking you're better than everyone". Lief was stumped she had nothing to say. Barda said"why do I get the feeling this could go on forever, you know if you were smart like me you'd save your energy for walking" cal added"yeah we got a long way to go".
Lief turned into the opposite direction said"ok but we have to go back to noradz first and tell the people they're being lied to". Jasmine said"that's insane" cal added "lief it was difficult getting out of that insane place and now you wanna go back in!?".
"Tiras being used by tge Ra-kacharzes as a slave for the Shadow Lord and she doesn't even know it" lief said. Barda said "what good would it do for us to go back there, if by some chance the people believed what we tell them can you imagine what would happen if they broke the pattern of centuries and rebeled against the ra-kacharzes, the Shadow Lord would be undoubtedly so angry he'd destroy noradz is that what you want?!".
This caused lief to look back slightly and granted, indicating barda is right "all we should be thinking about right now is how to get to the city of the rats and find where the third gem is hidden so stay focused!". Lief looked down a bit, knowing he couldn't do anything right now cal then said"you can't right all the world's wrong every time lief".
(day time) walking on path
Cal and his group walked on a stony path next to a small cliff that had trees on top lief still couldn't get his mind off noradz cal decide baggy and hatter have been in the belt long so he brought them out. Then our group walked to some very tall grass barda started slashing with his sword to clear a path. Kree flying cawed "kree wants to tell us something" jasmine said kree continued cawing "he says that he can see the river" she said "so how close is it?" Barda said. Jasmine replied"sounds like we're almost there" barda said "that's good once we cross the broad river the city of the rats can't be far" lief nodded folowed by cal.
Cal, barda and lief started to cut through the grass two with their swords and cal transformed his hands into his creature claws he since the boys were in front. As soon as lief cut with his sword he gasped they had made it to the Broad River across from it, the city of the rats.
The boys sheathed their swords back into their scabbards well Cal transform his creature claws back into hands hands. "This must be it" lief said"it certainly is broad looks more like a lake"barda said we look to see the city of rats circular shape on the walls of the bottom, spiraling up, and there are three mini towers sticking up with two connected. Lief said"do you think that's the city of the rats?" Barda said"that would be my guess" lief added"then we're almost there we just got across the river ".
Jasmine said"yeah but how are we gonna do that?,we cant jusr swim" barda said"and they're only reeds here I can't see anything we could use to build a raft with". Lief said"so what are we gonna do?" Cal answered "don't worry we'll think of something". "All i know is that I'm hungry and tired, I really can't think on an empty stomach" jasmine said "alright then why dont we have a little something to eat first" everyone agreed to this.
Next scene we scraps of bread loafs on a napkin four to be and they're barely appetizers our grouo was sitting around it "I even turned the bag upside down to see if there's anything else but no" jasmine said. Barda said"hey wait a minute what did we get at Tom shop again I remembered we bought some sort of food" lief said "sure if thats what it really is I think twice before eating anything of his though" lief brought stuff out said"we've got beads supposedly make fire, a pipe that blows bubbles of light, powder that cleans water and the no bakes".
Barada said"well that's something we can eat, it's that stuff you turned to bread if you just add a little water"lief said," like that could happen and he gave us this free gift they're called water eaters" as he pulled out the gift. "Water eaters how do you suppose they work?" Barda said "are they alive?" Jasmine said "i don't know, sparingly drop one water eater at a time wherever dryland is required". "I guess we try them out" cal said "ya right do you really think whatever is in there could work on a whole river" jasmine said.
"Look im just reading what's on the back of the box" lief said and he and Jasmine humphed and looked away from each other. Barda said"well I guess it wouldn't hurt to try let's give it a shot" cal added"sounds like a plan to me". They gathered all their stuff and barda walked to the edge of the river and held up a water eater, saying"alright little water eaters let's see what you can do with this big river" and he threw one of them in the river.
Lief turned away believing it was a trick while the others watched for the show nothing happened "didn't work" barda said "huh what a drag" jasmine said. Lief said "I told you so why would Tom give us something for free that he could've charged us for" cal said "i've got a feeling somethings going to happen". Jasmine said"hold on a sec look over there" bubbles formed where the water eater was thrown at then the water rose up everyone was surprised "I can't believe its working look at all that water from the river being sucked up inside it". In its place was a giant long aqua crystal, sucking up all the water in that spot sucking up water three ways there's water "this is incredible"barda said.
Barda said"it looks like some sort of magic crystal that's drawing up the water" jasmine said"thats great now there's dry land in the middle of the river" barda said"with these we should be able to get across". Lief said"but do you guys really think we should put this much faith and something we got at toms shop" cal said"lief don't look a gift horse in the mouth". Jasmine taunt"what's the matter are you scared your hairs gonna get wet" lief said"i'm not scared of anything" causing jasmine to laugh.
Our group of adventures are about to walked down the mud edge of the river before cal said"hatter why don't you collect some mud for seventy six percent of the golems we'll create " and hatter hummed in agreement before popping of cals head. Hatters spider legs and thorax popped out from his bottom and started weaving spiderweb net he pulled it behind him. While hatter was walking down the mud slope the net he made dragged some extra mud into the net and when it built up he collected extra mud sucking up in front when he reached the bottom. Jasmine asked"cal what are you and hatter doing? Cal answered "we are gathering nature materials to create golems".
Lief walked down fisrt then barda and barda said"watch your step" lief said"yeah it's slippery" jasmine said"it's a little muddy but not too bad considering it was just underwater a minute ago" filli agrees with her. They all started walking in between the river "hey lief why don't you throw another one " barda said while handing the box "kay" lief replied. He shook the box till he got another water eater threw it forward and another water crystal showed up.
They were all surprised as lief moved forward"i still can't get over it" jasmine said "ya it doesn't seem possible" barda said and they walked forward. Cal was amazed and said"cool hey hatter are we half way done to getting the mud" and hatter hummed loudly in agreement meaning the task was halfway done. Kree was flying and cawing over them they were getting near the other side through the river"thanks to those water eater will be across in no time" barda said.
Lief stopped and said"the problem is there is only a few of these things left i'm not even sure we have enough to get to the other side" this surprised everyone as they huddled. "Whats wrong with you it's a little late to be telling us this now!" Jasmine said suddenly they heard a noise "what was that" she said. They looked behind and saw the water eater crystals, disappearing one by one "the pillars are all collapsing!" Barda said. Just as the latest water eater disappeared cal said"baggy things are getting messy"and she hummed agree turn silver and gold orb and disappearance into the belt "hatter finish collecting the mud you have under you things are getting messy" he said hatter had hummed in agreement gathered all the mud he could into one and transform into a two color orb andwent inside the belt as well.
Jasmine shouted"we're gonna be drowned" barda said "get moving" and they all started to run to the other side of the river. "I don't get it why is this happening" jasmine said then lief pulled the box out of his pocket read shouting"in the fine print they're only effective for one hour what". "You know lief maybe you should've read that while we were on dry ground" jasmine shouted"remind me to thwack you if we get out of this" cal shouted "forget about that we've gotta hurry" barda shouted.
They all kept running for their lives they didn't want to get drowned by all that water "don't look back" barda shouted. River water was close to their backs as a tsunami and landed right on them they all popped up, gasping for air.
Sunset (side of river city of the rats)
Our adventures are on the other side of the river near the city of the rats lying on their backs with barda,cal,lief and jasmine. "Wow we were really lucky that could have been the end" barda said "ya somehow the belt protected us" lief said and those two laughed. Jasmine got up said"is that what you think oh yeah nothing like drowning to make you feel protected" lief got up said "well we all made it across alive didn't we" jasmined humphed. Cal got up said" well we got out of that which reminds me" he took two fingers and thwacked liefs forehead "ow what was that for?" Lief said "that's for not reading the instructions all the way and getting us in that mess because of it" cals said.
Barda got up stretched his arms, and said"don't know about you guys but I'm tired and pretty hungry too we never did get anything to eat" jasmine said"I could fall asleep in a heartbeat". Lief said "but were so close to the city of rats" jasmine said"you gotta be kidding me you wanna go there right now!?" Lief got up said"I don't think we have time to rest". Jasmines said"I don't get it whats the difference if we get there tonight or tomorrow" lief said"we're so close to wear the third gem is hidden i'd thought you want to hurry too". "What's the point in the whole thing anyway is something really gonna happen when we get all the gems" jasmine said "what do you mean by that?" Lief asked "exactly what i just asked you do you know what's gonna happen when we get all the gems". Lief said"sort of" barda placed a hand on liefs shoulder,said"come on let's all have something to eat i'm so hungry I could probably eat an entire mudlet"
Cal said"in my creature form I could eat an entire mudlet but I prefer mine cooked baggy, hatter you can come out now". His belt shined and out popped of his comrades he then took baggy of his back put her on the ground. "And i wann dry my clothes too" barda said"hey hang on a sec lief didn't you say we ended up buying some of those fire makeing beads at toms shop maybe we should give em a try" barda said.
Lief said "i've had enough of Tom's stuff" barda talked "come on i don't think it'll harm us" jasmine said"those water eaters actually helped us out the only reason we nearly drowned was because some genius didn't read the instructions all the way through before using them". Lief looked to the right Jasmine had got them there and said"alright fine.
Barda got the fire beads bottle read the instructions" lets see here it says to ignite beads strike with a hard object". Then barda got the hilt of his sword smashed the bead in his left hand with it and a fire formed he then realize he was holding fire and he said yow and tossed the fire in his hands, then on to the ground. "Wow look at that It actually worked" jasmine said "that's amazing now I wonder what will happen if I add another one "barda said and he tossed another one making the fire big.
"This is great at this rate our clothes will be dry in no time" jasmine said "hey lief why don't you break out those no bake things they really hit the spot". Lief grunted pulled out the item"here you go" lief said handing them to barda and he shook out two. "Do you really think that those little crackers are gonna be enough for all of us?" Jasmise said "they're supposed to become loafs of bread by adding water" barda said "like bread soup?" Jasmine said.
Next we see Jasmine scooping up some river water in a bowl she looked to barda"you think this will be enough?" Jasmine asked and Barda then Cal nodded in an agreement. Barda said"and we should use that cleansing powder we shouldn't take any chances with the bread and we can always drink what's left over" cal said "agreed". Lief looked over from just locking up and putting his arms behind his head and huffed looking away barda dropped three water cleaners into the bowl and a light shined in it signaling the water is safe to drink. "Look at that the water instantly cleared up" barda said "now I'll just try a few drops" jasmine said as she poured a few drops of water on the no bakes and suddenly those two crackers size transformed into two loaves of bread. Jasmine said"yeah it totally worked" barda grabbed the loafs with his hands spoke"fantastic looks like we're not going to bed hungry tonight"
Cal said"let me know when the breads getting toasted, I've got some work to do in baggy" and he along with Hatter jumped inside baggy.
(Afternoon time) inside baggey
Cal and hatter have reached the sphere of alchemy and cal decide to make more potions with the remaining blood samples of his half siblings. He started mixing together zan's blood into a potion followed by zod then ichabod once they were done, he downed them down his throat. There were images of his last half siblings he absorbed their powers too then he and hatter went to the training, bubble and he began trying out his new additional powers. After he absorbed the powers and ate two sweet plums he went to the forging sphere to work on his fob so that it would withstand his form shift and could only be used by himself. As for another project in the forge sphere he combined the ra-kacharzes whips with his armors one for silver and two for gold.When he was done he and hatter road the boat back to the exit.
(afternoon time) by the river
Cal poped out of baggy with hatter he put hatter upside down and got baggy back on his back said"OK everyone now I'm going inside Hatter" and he with baggy jumped into hatter who is ok with staying upside down for a long time periods.
(Afternoon time) inside hatter
We see inside Hatter is a farm that looks like it's from a Shire very peaceful with an earth barn and a hole next to it soon to be a lake along with a turquoise construct of hatter. Cal walked to the stuff he got hald the stuff from toms shop and saw four big piles of mud hatter had collected for him and began work, building his golems. First cal took the mud and shaped them into a body lying face first with the arms up this went smoothly with the help of the hoe and the rake. Then he decide to use the fob he pressed the blue button enchanted to spell that take as much water as it could from the ground poured it into the hole after that he got six water cleaners threw them in the lake and the water was cleaned. Finished with his work he and baggy left by jumping up.
(Afternoon time) by the river
Everyone one was astounded by how cal went inside baggy and hatter and as soon as he popped up from hatter he took hatter and placed him on his head"what did I miss" cal said. Barda replied"not a lot other than the breads almost done" the bread loafs were on sticks roasting by the fire barda,cal and jasmine were eating pieces of the bread that were toasted "aren't we great cooks" jasmine said "yeah it taste just like it came out of an oven" barda said "you are both correct great cooks and tastes like it just came out of an oven". Barda looked over his shoulder said"what's wrong lief aren't you gonna have some" lief said "i'm not hungry thanks" jasmine teased"is the baby being stubborn now".
Lief turned around say"whatever I said, I don't want any" then his stomach growled barda,cal and jasmine laughed. Jasmine said"I think your stomach disagrees" cal said cheerfully"come on lief hunger cost more than pride" and barda got up "would you stop being a know it all!" Lief said. Barda approached saying"here come on lief you have to eat something" while holding out a piece of bread lief took it and began eating it. "I don't really like tom either but there's nothing wrong with the goods he sells" barda said "come on you wouldn't wanna get any skinnier lief just eat toms bread ok" jasmine said after walking to them, followed by cal. Cal then said"lief think about it if tom was with the resistance the Shadow Lord would send grey guards to destroy him and if tom side with the Shadow Lord the resistance would send someone to destroy him".
Cals senses went off while leif looked to his right side followed by cal looking at that direction something was approaching them. Lief gasped "somethings coming this way" cal said "we can see that" what was heading towards them was a very large swarm of rats. "Those are rats!" Jasmine said "what rats" lief said "ya and theirs so many of them" barda said "we better run" jasmine said "but where"lief asked "to the river are only chances to get to the water" jasmine said " good idea and we should put on the ra-kacharze uniforms too" barda said.
Cal said "agreed baggey ra-kacharze uniforms and hatter grab the loaves of bread"they hummed in agreement baggy brought out the uniforms and had hatter shot spider webbing ropes to grab the loafs and put them inside him. Everyone put on the uniforms lief and barda had their swords out and ran to the river with the rats behind them. Kree cawing upwards warning them with caws lief looked behind him seeing the rats snuff out what little campfire they had. "Ive never seen so many rats in my whole life" lief said squeaks of the rats were heard the entire time and they started getting into the river "they're coming right for us" jasmine says. Bard said"then let's not stand around here" and they all started running further into the river water.
The rats were still after them swimming in the river some got on jasmine she swatted them away with her hands" ahh get off me" she said. "Jasmine hold on" lief said as he unsheathed his sword and charged at the rats few of them jumped up and lief swiped them with his sword. Cal was being attacked by rats and just as a whole lot got on him he said"that's it I've had enough of this" and he shifted his face to show his creature side and roared scarring away the rat mostly cause he's a cat creature.
Even more rats were showing up swimming in the river "more and more keep coming there's just no end to them" barda said while halfway he swatted a rat off his shoulder. Lief said"hey let's use the fire beads" next lief grabbed a fire bead hit it with his sheathed sword and tossed the flame on the land the rats scurried away from it. More fire beads were activated and tossed landing on the first one making a wall of fire "it's working uh" lief said as he saw more rats scurry around the fire and into the water.
Lief said"no they're still coming" and tossed a fire bead into the water"head upstream will use the wall of fire as a shield" lief said to the others "good thinking"barda said "gotcha" jasmine said "you don't have to tell me twice" cal replied. While they were heading up stream lief threw more fire beads that were activated and a wall fire showed up in front of the rats while they swim in the river. Lief looked in his hand and said"oh no this is the last one" and tossed it creating more fire.
(Night time)up stream near rat city
Our group took of the uniforms saw all the fires go out and the rats had ran away jasmine collapsed on her knees saying"please no more". Barda then walked a few steps, looked at the folded uniform, and said "it seems that those ra-kacharze uniforms have saved our lives once again" lief said "I guess even the rats can't stand the poison of that weird fungus clean noradzier wasn't it". "Why bring that up?" Barda said "I don't ever wanna hear that again" jasmine said "maybe it means something else cause then they do this" lief did a hand motion of clenching his fist lifting it up to his left shoulder and then make a hand"don't they almost like they're swatting rats off their bodies". Cal then added "and if you decipher that chant clean noradzier it says clean no rats here" barda said"what are you getting at lief and cal?" Lief answered"I think Noradz used to be a part of the city of the rats, but when the rats took over the people got so scared they ended up deserting it".
Barda asked"what makes you say that"? Lief pointed to the left upward saying"that symbol up there" barda,cal and jasmine looked. On top of the tallest tower in the city of rats there was a symbol a blue circle with a white dot It's got a small curve upward and two blue lines for the left and the right. Lief said"it looks like the one we saw all over the place in noradz" everyone remember the symbol they saw on the gong and the cup "you're right I remember seeing it before".
"Maybe that's why they're afraid of filli he does look a bit like a rat" lief said filli poped out of hiding behind jasmines hair. "That explains why their so obsessed with keeping everything clean it was to keep the rats away" barda said "the ra-kacharze were able fight the rats because they wore those red suits that's why the people of Noradz thought they were all powerful and then the ra-kacharze became leaders when they fled" lief said. Barda said"I never would've thought of it but what you're saying is making a lot of sense" lief said"but the worst thing is we know that the ra-kacharzes are servants of the Shadow Lord so noradz was saved by the Shadow Lord not the ra-kacharzes".
Cal added"it was a set up somehow the shadowlord got the rats there and he made the ra-kacharzes look like heroes from a problem they started at least reese got what he deserved". Lief said"I bet the reason they're so strict because the shadowlord doesn't want them to know the truth about their past". They all looked at the city of rats"I think we should wear these when we enter the city of the rats" lief said "agreed i'm sure they'll be swarming all over the place once we get in there" barda said.
Jasmine said"are you guys really planning on going into that city after what we've just been through!?" Lief said"of course we are we know for sure that the third gem is hidden there". She then sighed and said"im sorry but I can't help you with this quest of yours anymore" this surprised barda,cal and lief. "Ive thought about it and it looks like this is where you guys carry on without me" jasmine said "but Jasmine" lief said.
boom chapter 11 is done next they'll take out the head of the leader
