We're here! I'm so, so sorry if you're unhappy with my portrayal of the Volturi, I really did try, but they've never really been my favorite so I spent the last few days really trying to immerse myself in all things Volterra. I did take both inspiration from he movie and book, and I chose to stick closer to the movies portrayal, because their is just no way I'm having these character trek through an alley and then essentially drop into a fake sewer...just no. Anywho I'm going to finish out October with a chapter every Sunday simply for the fact that in November I will be participating in NaNoWriMo and be focusing more on my own original work for the month, BUT it is my Birthday this Tuesday so their will be a special surprise sneak peak ;) consider my gift to you! Anyway I really hope you enjoy, these chapters are kinda hard for me and I'm a bit nervous, but EXCELSIOR!

Reviews:

agabriellafigueiredi- GET READY! Cause here we are, time to meet the Volturi and gosh I really hope you like it! I felt a lot of pressure with this chapter and time has finally arrived! I'm glad that you laughed at my bad joke lol (I call them dad jokes because they are soo bad) Thank you for calling me an author but I am far from it, hopefully one day as it's literally my biggest life's ambition, but you made me smile by calling me one, so thank you my friend! I've been working on myself, life seems a little hard right now, but it too shall pass for both myself and you sweet friend, everyday we just have to keep going and I love that his fanfic is a good escape for you! Because you waited so patiently for it here you go my friend I dedicate this chapter to you and hope you like it! BIG HUGS BACK!

UndercookedCookie- I'm so sorry this month hasn't been the kindest, but believe me sweet friend good things are coming for you I just know it! Sorry I made you wait so long for an update, these next few chapters were really hard for me to write as I've always kinda just skipped over the Volturi parts in the books lol, so if they don't feel as real and authentic I'm sorry. I Leo that you love the family dynamic and protective Carlisle because those are deffinetly my favorite to write and therefor I write a lot so I hope you don't get tired of it! Thank you for your sweet and kind words, they really make my day better and also give me so much encouragement to keep writing! Honestly without sweet reviews like this, I am nothing and I can't thank you enough!

Guest- THANK YOU! I hope you don't get tired of it because I love writing it!

KEZZ 1- Thank you so much!

8- The fun is here so I hope you're ready lol!

AlexisHard- HELLO MY FRIEND! I'm so happy to hear from you! Happy spooky season and you're completely right, the Volturi showing up in the month of October is absolutely perfect! Hopefully some of your questions are answered here. The Volturi are kind of hard for me to write because for some reason they never really interested me, so if this chapter feels less authentic I'm sorry, I'm trying lol! As always I love that you love Rose, I really enjoy putting her in a better light than the books did, we only started to like her in book four, but she has always had so much potential. I love that reading this little story makes you happy, that's always my goal, for you to sit down and escape for a little bit and I hope this chapter doesn't disappoint!

EtheralSoul456- You're right! The Volturi popping up in October is perfect! I'm going to pretend I planned it that way...but I did, but I did shhhh ;) I just had to bring the Denali back, I love them allthough they've kinda been in the background a bit lol, I just want the Volturi to shine, but I have to apologize if they don't seem as authentic or real, they're really hard for me to write for some reason. I LOVE that you love the dynamic between Carlisle and Mare, becasue it's my favorite to right and I don't think I'm stopping that anytime soon lol. Thank you for asking about my, I'm okay, it's been a tough couple weeks, work wise, but I'm hoping everything starts to kinda settle or at least give me break lol. Please do not feel sorry for not leaving a review, you don't have to read let alone leave a review so the fact that you do when you can means the absolute world to me! I know how school can really get in the way of doing the things you want, so please don't worry and ficus on the things you have too! I hope everything is well with you and you have the absolute BEST spooky month! Love you too!

KimYmir-Thank you so much for reading and leaving a comment, I feel so honored this is your first, and also don't worry about the language barrier, you're doing amazing! Sorry you had to wait so long for an update, but I really hope you enjoy this chapter and have the best week! Thank you for your super kind words!

Gretchenia- My dear, dear friend as I always tell you, you never have to leave a review so don't ever call yourself a procrastinator when it comes to this okay? Your reviews always, ALWAYS bring the biggest smile to my face, and I find myself reading them over and over again as the weeks go on, so yes they do hold a candle to this story! Thank you so much for your kind words about my writing, I really do try to capture the character as best as I can, but with also adding my own spin on them, while also trying to make them real...its a hard balance and sometimes I'm not ever sure I capture it right lol. And as always your right, you knew Carlisle would only let his family fly the BEST! goodness, it's almost like your right next to me when I'm writing this lol, I LOVE IT! I also love that you love the parental focus of this story instead of the traditional Edward/Bella. You are completely right, there are not enough of them and I got so sick of it, that I was like, forget it I'll write my own lol, I hope this story gives others inspiration to do the same so I can read and love on there stories too! I love that you share with me you're emotions because I feel like I'm reading this chapter for the first time with you and it honestly makes my night! Thank you as always for you're ind words, I do tend to be a little hard on myself and worry that my chapters aren't that great this one especially lol. I've never been the biggest Volturi fan so I'm afraid these chapters won't feel as authentic so let me apologize in advanced! As always I hope you don't make yourself wait to read this lol! I'm dying to know what you think lol. Please take care of yourself sweet friend and thank you for always lifting me up with you kind reviews and sweet words!

Hello Aro

"Could you try eating a bit more?" Esme encourages.

I look up from the beautiful omelet she's made and give her a smile before taking another bite. Esme's very proud of this omelet, she got up early, and together she and Carlisle walked the morning markets of Volterra, picking up all the booths had to offer, fresh olive oil made only days ago with olives that have spent all summer growing. Goat cheese at a different booth where she got to meet the goat the cheese came from, a jar of sun-dried tomatoes, made by someone's Nona, she even got a couple of jars of sauce at the same booth. Flowers that were freshly picked that morning to decorate the kitchen, farm fresh eggs, basil, and homemade dried pasta. Esme's been showing off her little haul to me all morning, pointing out where every ingredient from my omelet has come from. Honestly, I've been smiling at her all morning.

"We'll have to go with you tomorrow," Rose says smiling from her spot by the window, There is a small cushioned bench there, that I've noticed she likes to sit. The sun doesn't hit that spot until about midday, but even then I think she enjoys feeling the sun on her face without worrying, as the window looks out a small field.

"6 to 7 is a good time, the sun doesn't hit that alley yet and it's not too busy." Esme smiles glancing at her new bundle of wild flowers. Carlisle even stuck away and bought the vase for her...I don't know how anyone who has seen the two of them together could get married...they both just set the bar too high,

"The last time we were here, I got this amazing fragrance, I hope they still have it," Rose turns to me, her lips quirked up in a small smile, "It's made right here," I take another bite and smile back at her.

"Oh, that reminds me" Esme turns back to the stove grabbing a small device off the burner, it looks like an hourglass-shaped coffee pot. She grabs the world's smallest mug and pours a dark rich liquid into it. It smells amazing..like coffee.

"What is that?" I lean closer and she pushes it across the counter carefully, it smells dark,

"A treat." I carefully take it,

"Is this espresso?"

"Oh not just any espresso," Carlisle's voice enters the kitchen with a smile on his face, "This is Italian espresso and you'll never find anything like it, nor will it be a normal thing for you to enjoy." He stops to rest next to Esme, I raise an eyebrow and take a large whiff, it smells amazing and hot,

"Let it cool for a few minutes," Carlisle warns. I smirk at him and set the cup down. "Do you remember what I told you last night?" I nod taking another bite of my omelet,

"How are you feeling?" Esme asks,

"I don't really know. How you are supposed to feel before you go in front of a vampire government?"

"Vampire government?" Tanya asks entering the kitchen, "Is that what you're calling the Volturi?" She has a playful smile on her face, her long curly pale red hair pulled up into a neat ponytail,

"Make sense right?" I ask pushing my plate over to Esme, I've eaten more than half the omelet and don't think I can finish it,

"Well, we won't tell them that, give them more of a complex than they already have,"

"Are you having a good morning Tanya?" Carlisle asks taking my plate and placing it in the sink,

"It's pretty good, being here always almost feels like home." She closes her eyes and takes a deep breath,

"Home?" Esme asks and Tanya smirks,

"Almost."

"Where is your original home?"

"Slovakia," Tanya answers with a longing smile on her face,

"Tanya's turning is even older than mine." I turn to Tanya who gives Carlisle a little wave,

"Yes, but Carlisle has better control than me, better control than anyone I know honestly, you'd have, to help humans all day the way you do." She finished with a visible snark on her lips,

"Careful Tanya, theirs a human right next to you," Emmett comments entering and crossing the kitchen to give his wife a soft kiss on her forehead. Tanya's face relaxes as she turns to me,

"Ya, but I like this human." We share a smile for a second and then Esme reaches forward and grabs my wrist, her grip tight,

"Mare's an easy person to like." She smiles and then frowns. Carlisle places his arm around her waist,

"Go get dressed, we need to leave in ten minutes." At that sentence the room suddenly changes, the air feels colder, and the smiles on everyone's face turn to a frown. I reach forward grabbing the espresso and quickly swallow it in one go. The burning is satisfying. Slowly I stand up and head for the stairs that lead up to my borrowed bedroom,

"Marceline?" Carlisle calls when I reach the archway. I stop, turning towards him, his smile is gentle, his features soft,

"It's going to be okay."

"Stop fidgeting." Alice scolds next to me. I turn showing her the deep frown on my face, "You look cute." she smirks,

"I look like Blair Waldorf." I gesture to the clothes she's forced me to wear. A dark navy pleated skirt that's she's tied in the front with a bow, white, long sleeve button down with a matching navy Peter Pan collar. She's even forced me into black knee socks and flat Mary Janes. At least the socks cover the large ugly bandage that hides the 25 individual stitches still present on my skin.

"Who?"

"Oh, you are going to love Gossip Girl," I tell her fidgeting with the matching navy headband she placed into my hair,

"What's that?" I open my mouth to answer her when Carlisle places his arm around my shoulder and tucks me close,

"It's time." He must feel my body stiffen because he gives me a light squeeze against his cold side, "As long as I'm here, you'll be fine." He whispers before kissing the top of my head.

The bright sun that bathed Volterra in yellow warmth quickly disappeared behind the clouds leaving behind an ugly, cold, grey coloring all around. Everything looks darker and duller, even the beautiful cinnamon bricks look shallow. It feels like the perfect weather to meet vampires whose diet consists solely of human blood, a big difference from the people around me who sustain themselves on the blood of animals. The last time I met someone who enjoyed human blood they bit me and I spent the weekend in and out of a fever-induced sickness.

"Calm your thoughts," Edward whispers behind me, I turn watching him lean back into his spot,

"Stop!"

I scream in my mind turning to face the building again. The Palazzo dei Priori is the building where the illustrious and mysterious Volturi reside. It's a large building with the same color bricks as every building betraying its special residents, however, this building has a large clock at the top with a pointed protective covering. It's not very far from our temporary home, but Carlisle made us drive just in case the sun decides to make its appearance known again. I take a breath, and the air feels colder today, as Carlisle explained it winter in Italy is normally quite mild, but there can be colder days. It makes me a bit sad as the beautiful stone fountain behind us isn't running, I bet it's beautiful with crystal waters running down the stone.

"Let go," Carlisle peaking at everyone around us, "They don't like to be kept waiting." He gives me another squeeze before forcing us forward.

I stick close to Carlisle, expecting him to let go to open the two large ornate wooden doors in front of us, however as if reading our presents, they open on their own. If Carlisle's arm wasn't still around me I would have stopped. I don't know what I was expecting maybe that the outside would match the inside with exposed brick and wooden features, but instead, it's all marble, from the walls to the floors, but the thing that stands out the most is the light. It's unremarkably bright in here, the fluorescent lighting creating a warm glow...in my head I imagined red velvet and black. Edward snickers behind me and I turn with a scowl,

"Will you knock it off?"

"You've watched Bram Stoker's Dracula one too many times," I open my mouth when a different voice echoes against the walls, one I've never heard before,

"Carlisle, you and your family are right on time." I turn watching as two figures descend down the right side of the hallway. Both men are impressively tall however the man on the left might be the tallest person I've seen in person, and as he gets closer it's clear he even towers over Emmett.

"Don't sound so surprised Felix, you can expect nothing less from us other than punctuality." Both men stop a few feet away from us, the man Carlisle's talking to, Felix, smiles, and I feel my blood freeze as his dark red eyes sweep over everyone only to stop on me. I feel his eyes take in my features and I do the same. In many ways he reminds me of Emmett, tall and muscular, however, his skin takes on more of an olive hue behind the chalky pale complexion. His hair is a shade two darker than mine and lays in weird layers as if he's not sure how to either cut or style it.

"Of course Carlisle, we expect nothing less from you and your impressive family." The man next to Felix expresses with a curt nod, his shoulder-length black hair bobbing with him. Carlisle returns the gesture,

"Thank you." My attention is turned from the second man back to Felix when he steps closer to me,

"This must be the girl you described." I feel Carlisle's arms stiffen and simultaneously feel Esme press into me on the other side, between the two of them I start to shiver and Carlisle looses his arms,

"Would you take us to Aro please?" Carlisle's demands catch Felix's attention, he turns to look at the other man behind him and that's when I realize both men are wearing matching all-black suits...why does that feel like a stereotype?

"Of course," The other man nods, "follow us," he turns and then realizes his counterpart isn't next to him, "Felix." He taunts,

"Yes, of course." He smiles turning and heading over to stand directly next to his partner and in perfect sync they start walking, their shoes clicking on the marble floor.

Carlisle waits for a second and then forces us forward, only now I have both Esme and Carlisle on my right and left. We head down the hallway until we come to the end where another set of double doors sits. The doors open when the two men in front of us get close revealing its hidden purpose, an elevator. It's only large enough to support around six people and both men in front of us get in first.

Carlisle doesn't move, instead, Emmett passes us getting into the elevator and standing right in the middle in front of both men, only then do Carlisle and Esme allow us to enter. I turn coming face to face with Edward and Rose, they look like they want to enter but know they can't, instead they stand, their bodies so still and stiff, it looks like if they move they will break and they keep that stance as the door close leaving the six of us alone...in silence. I take a breath feeling the elevator start to drop, slowly I turn to look behind me, Emmett has his eyes forward almost annoyed at the two men behind him, it's then a man with shoulder-length hair catches my eyes,

"What, no music?" I ask, just then Carlisle's cold hand lands on the top of my head and forces my head forward, I turn to look at him expecting a scowl but find a smirk. The doors open revealing a modern and expensive-looking reception area...if I didn't know better, I feel like I'm about to receive an expensive nose job instead of meeting a group of blood-sucking royalty. Esme, Carlisle, and I step off first followed by Emmett and the two men, they quickly step around us and start heading to another pair of large wooden doors,

"If you don't mind Demetri, we would like to wait for the other members of our family," Carlisle says letting go of my shoulder,

"Aro's not a patient man," Felix growls annoyed, while the other man...Demetri...I like that name, nods,

"I think that will be acceptable, Aro doesn't like the doors opening more than they have to." Felix looks even more annoyed but keeps his mouth shut waiting as the elevator closes and rushes up to carry its next load of people. I take the time to look around, There are no windows and I realize it's because we're most likely underground, instead to simulate the look of windows, brightly lit paintings of what appears to be the countryside of Italy line the wood panel walls. It's a smart idea, and that's when I realize Demetri is looking at me,

"It's nice is it not?" I nod,

"I like the paintings."

"Don't talk to her." Rose is suddenly in front of me. I didn't realize she was down here. Carlisle reaches forward and grabs her arm gently, pulling and directing her to stand next to him,

"Excuse her Demetri please." Demetri just nods,

"No offense has been taken."

"Thank you," Carlisle states turning to give Rose a pointed look. The elevator opens and the Denali files out,

"That seems to be everyone unless you have another person up there," Felix grumbles, Carlisle shakes his head,

"This is all of us." It's then Demetri and Felix get back into formation and start for the doors, it's then I see the large mahogany desk with a woman behind it...a woman with blonde hair and blue eyes...a human...a human receptionist complete with a headset..what?! She gets to her feet when Demetri reaches forward to throw open both doors and smiles,

"Demetri" He nods at her,

"Victoria." She blushes and then Felix passes her with a flirty wink.

"She's huma-"

"Hush," Carlisle whispers his cold arm coming to rest around me again and walking us forward. The room in front of us is a completely different world than the room we've just left and if Carlisle's arm wasn't around me I would have stopped to admire it. The room is a large circle made completely of bright stand stone from the floor to the domed ceiling, where large circles sit carved completely into the stone. If I didn't know we were in Italy I would say based on this room alone we were in Greece, the architecture of this room reminded me of our mythology unit last year.

Suddenly we come to a stop and I realize we're standing in front of several other pale skinned red-eyed vampires, all dressed in either suits or long black robes with hoods. They all stand on top of a parapet, however, three of the figures are sitting on large dark wooden chairs, they almost remind me of...a throne. The room is silent until Carlisle lets go of me and steps forward,

"Aro, I thank you for allowing my family to meet before you today." A second passes before one of the cloaked figures steps forward, he's shorter than both Demetri and Felix, yet he appears the most confident in the room as he lifts his arms with a dramatic flair to lower his hood. At this movement, all the others lower their hoods too, but I'm focusing on Aro He's quite handsome, with powdery white skin, if I didn't know what vampire skin felt like I would say his skin looks...soft. His dark hair is long and straight laying behind his ears and flowing down his back. His eyes, like everyone else's are red, but they appear lighter, milky..it's unsettling, and when they land on me I feel myself shrink. I would step back however it's then that I feel a large body behind me, I don't have to turn to know it's Emmett,

"Carlisle," Aro speaks, his voice light-hearted and cheery, "It's good to see you again old friend, I'm so happy you've brought the whole family." He looks around smiling brightly "Edward, a pleasure,"

"Aro," Edward's voice is short and clipped, Aro's eyes move to land on someone else and his too-white teeth flash, it's unsettling,

"Eleazar, welcome back."

"Thank you, Aro."

"Ahhh, Alice."

"Hello, Aro." Alice's equally cheery voice sounds more serious than normal,

"I always love seeing you, my dear." Alice is silent, as Aro's eyes turn to look behind him, to a figure so short it has to be a child. When they lift their head it's clear they're a girl, a young pale, beautiful girl with brown hair, dark, dark red eyes, and full lips. She's younger than me but commands more presence than I could ever imagine having in my life,

"Say hello, Jane," Aro tells her as if he's her parent and she's his child. She glances at Alice's direction and sneers before opening her mouth,

"Hello," It's short and sharp, then again I feel like that describes her perfectly. Next to her, is a figure not in a cloak but in a pale grey suit, he looks just like Jane, they could be siblings. His hair is darker and his features are full like hers, however, he seems less...angry looking. I turn away to look at Aro who's eyes are now on mine. I want to reach behind me and grab Emmett's hand, but I force myself to stand straight, "Well, Well, Well."

"Aro." Carlisle moves, obscuring me from Aro's view,

"Carlisle, I thought we agreed I would talk to the child,"

"And you will," Carlisle promises, "but please let us ease into this."

"I told you, Aro," A man on Aro's right steps forward, and I can't help but notice the color of his hair..so light it's practically white. "I told you he would play this game with you."

"There's no game, Caius," Carlisle defends, "I just don't find the quick approach to be the most effective. Aro knows this as well." Aro smiles at Carlisle,

"The child knows of our kind." The man on Aro's left steps forward. His hair matches Demetri, shoulder length and dark, but he's a bit shorter, still taller than Aro and Caius, however unlike Aro who appears almost giddy, and Caius who looks angry and cruel, he's emotionless.

"She does," Carlisle confirms.

"Then what's the harm?" He tilts his head to the side,

"I agree." Aro shouts excitedly, "Carlisle." Aro warns and reluctantly Carlisle moves, basking me in Aro's full view. His smile grows and he takes a careful step off the stone parapet,

"Marceline." He says my name as if it's the most beautiful word in the world. I swallow forcing my voice steady.

"Hello, Aro." This makes his smile grow,

"Ahhhh, my friend Carlisle must have told you all about me." I swallow turning to glance at Carlisle, I can't read him,

"That's what friends do right? Introduce them to other friends?" Aro laughs, it's a loud almost child-like laugh, and it takes me by surprise,

"Clever girl. Very nice job Esme." Aro glances at Esme, and she nods.

"I'm proud of her."

"As you should be." Aro says matter of factly before turning to me, "Dear one may I?" He holds out his hand and for a second I just stare at it,

"Aro is gifted." Carlisle clarifies, "Much like Edward only, he needs physical touch, to not only read your mind but to also see every memory."

"That's very impressive." Aro bats me away,

"Such a kind child." His expression turns serious, "A very special child too, if what Carlisle says is correct, I would like to see for myself." He holds his hands out again and slowly but steadily I lay my hand in his palm, and begin to feel every memory come to the surface.

My mother, our fight, me running out of the house and down the street, wondering until I find a curb to sit, calling Matt, and then lights, car lights, bright and overbearing, and then nothing, I stumble and fall only to be met with another light, a flashlight. Chief Swan, a cop car, the hospital, running away, Edward, and then Carlisle, and then...the book, Twilight.

Aro lets go with another loud laugh, this one carries around the room,

"He speaks the truth!" He shouts turning to the other members of the Volturi, all of them looking back and forth from Aro and me, their wide red eyes all of different shades, "You aren't from this world." Aro turns back to me looking the happiest I've seen him,

"No." I shake my head,

"Fascinating," He turns around to address the others, "A book, from her world we are simply a book."

"But how can that be Aro?" Marcus asks, face still unreadable,

"I don't know." Aro tells him with a smile, "It's amazing though, but wait?" Aro leans down, his face right at my neck. I feel every hair on my body stand to full attention as he inhales deeply. He laughs and I jump as he leans back laughing,

"Aro?" Marcus inquires,

"She doesn't smell! None of you smell her do you?!" He turns watching as each head shakes, before turning back to me "No scent, it's as if she's not human, as if theirs no blood circulating around her little body."

"Why she doesn't smell and where she comes from doesn't matter, the reason we're here today is the matter of her being allowed to live." Caius spits angrily, Aro deflates a little,

"Ahh, but you are right." Carlisle quickly comes to stand next to me,

"Aro wait-"

"I'm sorry Carlisle, but he is correct." Aro frowns turning to head back with the others. Carlisle moves standing right next to me, his cold body once again touching mine. I feel everyone around me stiffen, myself included,

"Aro I have brought not only every member of my coven but also our cousins the Denali, to stand on Mare's behalf." Aro looks around the room,

"Yes, I do see you have acquired quite the amount of people for the child. It's impressive, but I must remind you, Carlisle, she's a human,"

"And not just a human," Marcus adds, "You said she can't be changed, so even if we choose to accept her into this life, she can never take part in it."

"I don't know if I even believe she can't be changed, I say we test the theory," Caius leans forward from his wooden throne a sick smile on his lips,

"Need I remind you that even if she could be changed, the creator is responsible for its creation." Carlisle practically spits,

"Need I remind YOU, there are only two options for humans that are aware of vampire kind, make the human join the immortals or silence the human, PERMANENTLY! It's your job Carlisle to exterminate the threat." Caius jumps to his feet, his voice cold and angry as it bounces off the walls. I find myself backing up into Emmett who immediately grabs my arm and forces me behind him while using his other arm to gesture Esme to step back,

"The law states the vampire at fault would be responsible for silencing the human. No vampire in this room was responsible, she came to this world aware, and she is NOT A THREAT!" I reach forward balling my fists into the back of Emmett's shirt. I've never heard Carlisle yell like this, it's terrifying.

"Caius," Aro reprimands as if he is the parent and Caius is an unruly toddler, "You will not yell at Carlisle in that manner no matter how angry you are." I peek out from behind Emmett to find Caius slumping in his chair angrily, "Apologies Carlisle,"

"No apologies necessary, I understand this is a special case." Aro nods,

"Very special indeed," he smiles, turning to me. I step behind Emmett, "There's no need to hide, child,"

"She's afraid," Emmett answers for me,

"I imagine." He sounds understanding,

"Her fate must be decided," Marcus states,

"Mmmmmm" Aro muses, "Marceline, child. Come here." I feel my breath hitch and quickly swallow, I can't show him how afraid I am. So slowly I step out behind Emmett and carefully walk up to Aro, keeping my face forward knowing if I look at anyone I'll feel my courage waver ,"Do you like living with Carlisle?"

"I do," He reaches forward lightly grabbing a fist full of hair before pulling his hand back letting the strands fall through his fingers,

"I understand I really do," he looks over my head, "These people care for you, my friend Carlisle cares for you very much."

"Immensely Aro." Carlisle's voice is strong,

"Yes, yes." Aro muses and I take a second to look behind him. I look to Marcus whose features are calm and still, I look to Caius who surprisingly is smiling, a dark, ill sort of smile, like a child who's about to get what they want. When I glance at Jane she has the same look, the boy next to her frowns, just as the other beautiful vampires around him. I glance at Felix and Demetri. Felix smirks but Demetri looks away, his gaze focusing on the wall,

"You're an um-empowered human, who can't seem to be changed, I have to say I've been around for a very long time and I have never seen something like this. It's interesting, you dear are interesting."

"Thank you," I say carefully,

"If you could be changed I have a feeling you would be very special." His smile is bright and happy, but just as quickly as it crosses his face it disappears, "But you can't, and that's dangerous,"

"Aro!" Carlisle shouts,

"My sentence is this. Death."
