Chapter 2: Morphonia's Destiny

*Back from the past*

"Your Hiveness... where did you take me?" Morphonia asks her mentor. Atticus saw his confused protege so obvious as he says, "Morphonia, as my own protege, I'll give you some tasks. So I'll take you through the most important parts for your own mission," and he takes Morphonia through the most unauthorized part, the vault of Chrysalia Crystal. But not just a vault, also a one restricted library section full of histories of the whole Changeling Kind, especially the history of Equestria. Some of the books are researched from Equestria and other creatures' traditions and artifacts. Morphonia was amazed at what she saw and so confused about the Chrysalia Crystal as she asked, "Your Hiveness, what is that crystal?"

"About that crystal, it is named 'Chrysalia Crystal'. A source behind your reformed, it was too obvious about your 2 back horns. That kind of crystal was your task to know about this crystal long enough. As long as you're the protege of my will, you can figure out how it can be used." Atticus explained the crystal and was given the task for Morphonia. "I accept your given tasks to me, your Hiveness. But it'll have some time to know about that crystal. As long as I'm here in this restricted area, I just keep on researching until I contribute the result." Morphonia accepted her given tasks from her mentor, as Atticus nodded as he understood her protege and said, "Very well, Morphonia. Just don't pressure yourself, and take your time searching. So I'm going to go on to the forum, while you're reading those books." and Morphonia says, "Be careful, my Hiveness."

Upon Morphonia's thoughtfulness for her mentor, who went back inside for an important assigned duty, she started researching by reading a history book. One by one and day by day, she reads each part of the pages and each of the books that had been stored for more information; she also writes on what she learned. Until the time comes at the age of 23, Morphonia grew into a protege with curiosity, still looking at the truth and secrets of the Chrysalia Crystal.

*11 years later*

"Morphonia... be careful of yourself, even if you're all alone. Also..." Mrs. Pupadour reminded her daughter so carefully, and Morphonia continued from her mother as she says, "Don't forget to eat my lunch. I know mama, I will be just fine, and i will be back before midnight." "Alright then, my dear Morphy! See you later!" Mrs. Pupadour says farewell to Morphonia as she waves her hooves, and Morphonia also said, "See you later, mama, and I love you!" with her compassion for her proud mother as she closes the door and makes her way as she flies through the castle.

Her best friend Hitomi, who also runs, greeted Morphonia as she was flying. Hitomi greeted her as she said. "Good morning, Morphy! How's your daily breakfast from your mom?" "It's really great! She made a cooked oatmeal with some strawberry flavor! Also she says "Don't forget to eat your salad in the afternoon lunch.'!" Morphonia answered Hitomi's questions, and explained what happened inside of her house with her mom. "That's very nice of your mom! Mine was eating a banana and packing up my things, so that's all!" Hitomi shared hers too. As the two friends of Chamgelings of 'The one was flying' and 'The one who's running' they started make their way through the designated tasks as Morphonia went through the vault, meanwhile Hitomi went through her own site as an organizer each of the events will occur each of sessions.

"I'm going to go on then, Hitomi. Be careful on what you're doing from those sessions!" Morphonia says goodbye to Hitomi. "Yours too, Morphy! If you found something, just let me know if you found one!" as the two Changelings began to separate their ways through their designated areas.

Morphonia was now finally at the vault gate, as she used her own magic as a verification code that no creatures could enter this vault. Entering the vault, Morphonia puts her bag through the hanger, and she starts to continue her research. One by one, she reads each page from each of the books about artifacts, hidden magic, and most importantly... History, and hour by hour spending a lot of time, until...

"I noticed something!" Morphonia saw about the one page, which occurs about the true history of friendship. The book implies what happened in Equestria 1020 years ago, alongside the old Changeling Hive, and it says, "Since 1020 moons ago, before Twilight Sparkle became an alicorn, and also the 'Princess of Friendship' she met 5 friends as she felt the presence and importance of Elements of Harmony." Morphonia noticed that the artifact that was talking about was 'The Elements of Harmony' as she reads again about the Book of Artifacts.

Another implies about The Elements of Harmony is that it says, "'The Elements of Harmony', created by the 6 pillars of Equestria by planting it as 'The Tree of Harmony'. Princess Celestia and Princess Luna used that magic to defeat Discord the Draconequus once they borrowed the 6 elements and used it to seal Discord as a statue of Discord. After all of those events, Princess Luna turned into Nightmare Moon by her own hatred and jealousy of her sister, and putting the whole Equestria into a living Nightmare. Once again, Princess Celestia defeated Nightmare Moon by using the 6 elements and banishing through the moon. For centuries, Princess Celestia was miserable about her life, and each of her students failed about their purposes and mistakes, until she met... Twilight Sparkle."

Morphonia saw the same name from the former princess of Equestria, and she says, "So that means the 'Friendship is Magic' thing was started on Twilight Sparkle?!" and she continued her saying, "I need to write some notes on what I did read about the connection." as she writes on what she understands. Once her research was fully implied but still needed data. She still continued her research about the Elements of Harmony, as it implied: "Twilight Sparkle feels that Nightmare Moon might be awakened. With the help of her friends, Applejack of Honesty, Fluttershy of Kindness, Pinkie Pie of Laughter, Rarity of Generosity, and Rainbow Dash of Loyalty, together they defeated Nightmare Moon and healed Princess Luna. Each time they face some of their challenges, about saving Equestria, friendship problems, and some of their expeditions through the other creatures that didn't meet, their friendship is so stronger as it has become a symbolism of all the ponies and all the creatures by sharing on what they experience about 'Friendship'." then it has a reverse: "However, King Sombra destroyed the Elements of Harmony, including the Tree of Harmony. Even without those elements, Twilight and her friends didn't give up, and their own magic grew stronger by their experience, memories, and trust. They defeated King Sombra by their magic, and all of the world of every creature finally knew about how powerful friendship was."

Morphonia realizes that "'Powerful about their friendship.' I think friendship was meant to be every pony, and every creature. But what happens next? Does the friendship keep going?!" She asks herself what happens next. She wrote again about her research, then she searched for a history book. One of the contents was related to 'Friendship Falls' and the kind of statement was, "After 20 moons of defeating Queen Chrysalis, Cozy Glow, and Tirek, Twilight became a true Princess of Friendship with the help of her friends as they shared their memories and their peace. But the magic of friendship doesn't look too long, as she's the one who ruined the unity of all ponies and creatures with her magic of the dragons, and she's also an alicorn. All of the creatures and ponies are frightened to her appearance, as she wants revenge. Through the warnings, Princess Twilight and her friends wanted to stop the one alicorn whose name was... Opaline Arcana." Upon reading about what happened in Equestria, Morphonia realized what happened to the friendship of everypony else. All of a sudden, she feels pain in her head, and she sees the visions of what happened to the old Changeling Hive. Also, there's someone who saved the old changelings, alongside their former ruler Thorax and his brother Pharynx. And as the sacrifice, she became the Chrysalia Crystal, lightening up the whole hive as Opaline retreated from the attack.

Once the visions from the past were ended with a single blind of light, Morphonia woke up as she saw everything on what happened. She says, "Ow! My head! *Breathing* Are those... visions... real?! What if... or is it... the visions about how the Chrysalia Crystal was created?!" as she tries to reach her notebook, writing it, "Contribution: I saw everything from my visions, about how the Chrysalia Crystal was created, and some-changeling who sacrificed her life for the sake of her kind! I felt a headache for those kinds that occurred 1,000 moons ago! But I don't know who that Changeling was." As Morphonia finally found a solution, but the data was still missing. She tried to get a rest and told her mentor later on.

While Morphonia was asleep, she heard someone's voice once again. It appeared to have a shadowy appearance in front of the light so unknown as she says, "Morphonia... Morphonia, wake up," and upon that, Morphonia wakes up inside of her dream, as she was curious about what she saw in front of herself. "Who are you? Show yourself to know." She wants to know what kind of unknown Changeling sees her. "I'm just a messenger from the Chrysalia Crystal. You, young changeling, were my first choice to do what kind of your destiny was." The messenger answered Morphonia's questions, but it was still not to reveal herself. "Why did you send me here? " The messenger answered Morphonia's question: "I did choose you as a wielder of the crystal, who bought evolution and shared magic from each other. And each time that some dangerous challenges will occur in your future. I saw about how the ponies got separated with the Unity Crystals." and mentioned about the 'Unity Crystals'.

Morphonia mentioned and said, "Unity Crystals? I heard by reading a book about the 3 Ponykind Artifacts about that kind of crystals. It's like switching off and on about that." "That's right, Morphonia. After they celebrate their union, the 3 kinds of ponies are separated and they're busy from their duties. Year and years, the magic slowly fades like a dust of nothingness, and they forget what kind of unity it is, and they forget what kind of the others are. The Earth Ponies thought the Unicorns and Pegasi brought a threat, attack, and arguments to each other. We, changelings, cannot forget what we've experienced about 'Friendship', and what we have remembered from the past 1,020 moons. So... Morphonia, I'll give a task to you to travel across Equestria and some other parts of this world, not just as a protege but also... a fateful traveler, which meant no one could ever discover some of the secrets in this world. You're the only changeling I did choose, to reveal some unknown places that some creatures didn't discover."

Morphonia listens to the messenger so understanding and clear. "But how can I do that, even if I was just a protege?" and the messenger replies, "You'll find out, Morphonia. The farther you go, the secrets will reveal." and comes near her front, "So... you need to wake up now, the one who brings Destiny!" as she lightened the path, and Morphonia suddenly woke.

Later that night, Morphonia explains to Atticus how she discovered the creation of the Chrysalia Crystal. "It was quite a discovery to myself, Morphonia. Although, I needed some information on who is that kind of Changeling that you saw in your vision." Atticus replied to Morphonia on what he heard. Hitomi was there too, listening to Morphonia's discoveries also, and she reacted, "That discovery of yours was so terrifying! I've seen from one book that 'Opaline thought that alicorns are superior.' but she's wrong, even the ponies from Equestria were weak, but they have the magic of friendship!" The ruler and the protege listened to Hitomi's little discovery, as Morphonia replied to her, "Precisely! According to those, Princess Twilight and her friends created the Unity Crystals for the sake of each Ponykind. And also... Princess Twilight also created the Invisi-bubble to hide the magic."

"So... what will happen if without the invisi-bubble?" Atticus asked Morphonia. "Opaline will find out where the magic of the Unity Crystals is! But I think there are alternatives to defeating her, your Hiveness!" Morphonia answered and replied to her mentor's question. Then she continued, "And earlier, I had a dream when I saw the messenger, that I think was the savior of the old changelings before. I still don't know who she was, but she says, 'The farther you go, the secrets will be revealed'."

"I think her saying was... she chose you to become a traveler, if you wanted to know about some ponies and some creatures." Atticus knows what the meaning is from the poem. Then he continued and asked, "But I know it'll be dangerous to yourself, Morphonia. Is it okay for you to travel?" and Morphonia's answer was, "Of course, your Hiveness. This is my fate and duty as your protege. And the messenger said, 'Not just the protege, but a traveler to know some creature else.' Even harder it gets, but some creature will help me through my expeditions. And how long I can get back here, as long as I discover something as a contribution from my experiences, achievements, and those morals." as she has no choice but to do her fate.

"Morphy, I know that it'll be serious to you, but you'll be okay with that?" Hitomi asked Morphonia on how serious travel was. "Hitomi, I'll be encountering one different creature. Remember what you said to me back then, 'I can help you even if you're different.' Am i right?" Morphonia replied to Hitomi, remembering what she learned. And continued, "Listen... for myself, 'Even if I met some creature who's different from ourselves, just do your own part without me'. And even though I went so far from this town, our hearts and memories still connect us all." Morphonia mentioned her morals to Hitomi, learning about the connection and their own duty.

Hitomi got worried about her friend and what if she was in danger and put her challenges so hard. However, she agreed on what Morphonia believes as she says, "I understand, Morphy. Just be careful about what you trust on someone. No matter how far you get, I can think that you are still here." as Morphonia smiled at her best friend and understood Hitomi's saying.

"Very well then, Morphonia. As the one who holds destiny, you can go through your expedition by tomorrow afternoon. But first of all, you need to pack your things, with some of your important books and your notebook to take notes. And also your snacks to bring and eat on your way," Atticus says, being thoughtful about Morphonia's preparation, given such an organized and clean state to his protege. "I understood your humiliated Hiveness. And thank you for giving me a chance to do it from my stories and contribution. And I'll be honored to become a traveler." Morphonia understood and was thankful to her advisor and mentor. After their conversation ended, Morphonia and Hitomi bowed as they 'Bid thee Adieu', and Morphonia went home to have her rest.

Later, when the sun rises as the morning comes, Morphonia wakes up from her morning alarm and starts to stretch her hooves as she warms up. Meanwhile, Mrs. Pupadour created some of her delicious breakfast once again, and Morphonia went downstairs to eat her breakfast. "Good morning, mama." Morphonia greeted her mother a 'good morning'. "Good morning to Morphy! I heard from your friend that you're going for an expedition, am I right?" Mrs. Pupadour replied to Morphonia and asked.

"How did you know about my upcoming tasks? Did Hitomi say that?" Morphonia replied and asked too. Hitomi showed up as she entered the diner room and was greeted as she says "Morning, Morphy! I did say about those. At least you have a friend to tell your mom about anything." Morphonia laughs at her friend as she says, "*Laugh a little bit.* You really have a great spoiler to my mama: Instead i'm going to say to her," and both of her and Hitomi laugh.

"Okay, fillies! Stop your conversations first. Let's give our little traveler a breakfast first before she's going." Mrs. Pupadour reminded the girls about Morphonia's breakfast routines and manners. For the last time that Morphonia ate her favorite breakfast, Strawberry Oat Meal, Mrs. Pupadour did worry about her daughter on what would happen to her on her way through each of the towns.

Later, after breakfast, Morphonia packs up her things, including her important books and notebooks and also her snack given to her by Mrs. Pupadour. While she was packing, Mrs. Pupadour asked a question, "Are you sure what you're going to do next?" and Morphonia answered, "Yes mother. No matter how long I can get to travel, our heart connects us with our trust," as her mother felt her meaning and understood it. "Morphy, I knew you could say that, and no matter how far you can get, use your patience and don't ever give up." Mrs. Pupadour also reminds about 'Being patient is important.' and 'Never give up on yourself even if it 's so challenging.'.

Hitomi knocks on the door of Morphonia's room, and Morphonia does open the door as her friend says, "Morphy. You need to put it in your bag and go downstairs through the door first." Morphonia follows her friend's instructions and go downstairs through the door, then Hitomi says another instruction to her that she's going to wear a blindfold and carries Morphonia so slowly near the castle until...

"Morphonia... you can unfold now." As Hitomi says, Morphonia unfolds her blindfold. Then suddenly she is surprised as she sees all of the changelings are standing, and they say, "Surprise!" as they cheer and celebrate as...
"Hitomi? Is this your idea, right?"
"Yes Morphy! As a tribute to your experiences, I organized this celebration as the protege, hero and now a traveler, having a mark of flight. So I'll call this day... THE FESTIVAL OF A NEW DAY!"

All of the changelings are shouting and feel joy in what Hitomi created. Atticus came up to Morphonia as he said, "Morphonia, I did agree on Hitomi's organization of a new festival. And about this celebration, it inspires on what you become and what you have done to prove your own worthiness to our kind. It deserves some of our kind to see your departure as your own flight." Morphonia fell tears of joy, having realized that the festival was made to be her own tribute. She says, "Well then, your Hiveness. For this day, this festival will always be remembered for generations, tributes to myself as a protege, and 'The Festival of New Day' was the same day as I reformed into the ultimate lifeform of our kind, proving my worthy, my truth, and my trusts for loving as one of you. And this day on, it'll mark as my path of departure for learning some creature else. My quote was... 'Trust Forever, Stronger Together'!"

After Morphonia's speech of farewell and morals, all of the changelings stamp their hooves as they gladly and joyfully shout to her as they are proud. Then they have some feasts full of suitable foods for the changelings, especially the harvesting farmer changelings who planted healthy vegetables and fruits. Also, it has some dances and short theatricals, that entertains some of the changelings who watch for the arts. Atticus asked Morphonia if his protege will be ready for a departure. Morphonia answered, "I'm actually ready for my own next adventure. I want to think what kind of tomorrow will be, and I can't give up whenever it has some expectations of challenges," and then her mentor understood her protege one last time.

At the strike of the afternoon and the finale of their festival, every changeling stands up and clears a path, giving the chance for Morphonia to fly up. Morphonia's relatives are so proud in front of one changeling who's ready for her own adventure. Mrs. Pupadour shed tears for her daughter and said, "Morphy, I'm so proud of you that you grew up into a proud daughter that I have. Be careful on what you encountered and trusted for." "I will, mama. Thanks for caring and loving me as a true daughter who learned to become an independent and trusted Changeling. I'd promise to come back for some reconciliation and share my experiences. And talking about telephone contact, I can call you whenever I want to check on your status." Morphonia replied with thankfulness, appreciation, and thoughtfulness to her mother, and Mrs. Pupadour nodded as she agrees about Morphonia's independence.

Morphonia turns her head to Hitomi and reminds her like her saying, "Hitomi, you'll take care and visit my mama to need some help without me. Also don't forget how much you cherished one Changeling like myself. And if you meet one different creature who was hidden near, befriend it with care." Hitomi nodded and was so proud, having a chance to give reminders from her best friend, Morphonia. Her saying is, "I'll never forget about you, and I'll promise to take care of your mama, and I'll be friendly if some creature is hidden somewhere in this kingdom." "Very well then, my best friend is like a sister to me," Morphonia agrees, and hugs her best friend as she is ready to leave.

Atticus once again came up to Morphonia and said "Are you ready for yourself, Morphonia?" and the protege's answer was, "Yes, I'm ready! *Seriously but not shouted* " All of the musicians changed their trumpets, and Atticus stood up to announce about Morphonia's flight. "For the finale of this festival, our dear Changelings, please give a path to have a big finish and departure of Morphonia!" and Morphonia says, "I'll be the big finish for this event! And I'm ready to do my flight!" as she begins to gallop and run. Then suddenly, her wings popped out from her elytra and started to flap as she flew outside. All of the Changelings are waving goodbye to Morphonia, and she saw all of it as she flies through the sky, and she finally vanishes in front.

Morphonia saw the clouds and the bellow was the forest for th first time as she flies. She said, "The forest, the clouds, and the mountains. I feel like I haven't seen anything before, and I can feel the path of the winds through another!" as she loves the background from what she once saw through paintings and history pictures.

Hour by hour, she always has a stopover near a tree and another one to eat her snacks, especially her favorite, Matcha bread. She also reads about this kind of forest, which she enters is known as... Everfree Forest.

Later that night, she's sleeping near the tree, and once again think about her tomorrow. "Tomorrow, another trip ahead. However, I still don't know where my expectations were," she said, thinking to herself, and finally fell asleep. Suddenly, there are some creatures whose appearance is dark oak like wolf face, yellow eyes, and a normal oak wolf body that was so big called Timberwolves, who want to attack Morphonia so quietly while she's asleep.

But suddenly, a glow of light gives a fright from the Timberwolves to retreat, holding Morphonia up through the top of the tree for safety. The appearance of the ones who saved Morphonia was the same phoenix from Morphonia's past, who's mane and feathered tail of saturated red, marigold, and green, full body of red, marigold feathered belly, green eyes, orange beak and bird claws, and color red, margold, and green wings.

In the morning, Morphonia woke up as she saw the one phoenix, looking so confused. The phoenix spoke as he said "Good Morning!" and suddenly, "AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Morphonia shouted.

Author's Note: Sorry if this Chapter is late written. Those lore about the invasion of Opaline Arcana are from My Little Pony G5 Bible, about what happened to the friendship of 3 ponykinds. I added the lore on what happened to the old Changeling Hive, and it'll be revealed who is the Changeling who saved the old Changeling Kind. Morphonia's vision abilities are based on Wednesday Addams' ability to look the truth, but not just that, also the past.

The kind of festival, "The Festival of New Day" was based on the Jewish festival, "The Feast of New Wine" which is the same day from Chapter 1 about Morphonia's evolved reform. And 11 years of this story's Chapter in which the messenger summoned Morphonia for an important matters of friendship.

Also this one, mis-year and confirmed that the lore was 1,000 moons old.
