Chapter 3: The Mysterious Phoenix
Part 1:
"AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH! PLEASE DON'T HURT ME!" Morphonia shouted as the Phoenix gasped and humiliated, and suddenly she flew fast and went down through the ground so afraid and terrified. the phoenix fly through the ground and spoke again to Morphonia: "Please come down, dear Changeling. There's no need to harm." Once again, Morphonia saw the phoenix speak again and said, "THE PHOENIX CAN SPEAK?! PLEASE DON'T HURT ME, OH MAJESTIC ONE!" as she fell tears of fear. "Please... Morphonia. I mean no harm." The phoenix tried to calm Morphonia and knew the name of the Changeling as he felt sadness.
As Morphonia cried, she noticed the phoenix who knows her name as she asked, "You know my name?!" and the phoenix replied, "You didn't remember that I was the one who tried to help you? About 11 moons ago?" The flashback before Morphonia reformed, and the one who helped during the battle was the Phoenix, which he was badly injured after the Gargoyle threw the poor Phoenix through the forest. "I was injured after that Gargoyle threw me back through the forest. You thought I was invisible and died? I survived, and my injuries recovered so fast after all those occurred. I don't know what happened to you next, as I was unable to fly faster and see it." The Phoenix explained that he was the same mythical bird who tried to help Morphonia.
"I'm so sorry. It's just... I thought you were going to burn me with those wings. And I'm sorry if I almost forgot about what happened to you next either. Mine, I almost died, and the Chrysalia Crystal gave me a reform essence and I became an ultimate changeling." Morphonia apologized and explained hers. Then she continued, "I almost forgot about you, and I didn't ask. Maybe it's just that i'm tired from traveling to know some others earlier. *Sighs and feels guilty.* Can you forgive me?" The phoenix replied to Morphonia as he said, "I can forgive you, Morphonia." Morphonia nodded as she accepted him, then she asked, "If you know my name, dear majestic phoenix, what is your name instead?"
"My name is Ankh Firesky; you can call me 'Ankh' instead." The Phoenix reveals his name to Morphonia. "Ankh... I love that name." Morphonia loves Ankh's name, and she continued, describing him while Ankh turns the ring of his tail into his two claws and lands through on Morphonia's left wrist, like a perch. "A beautiful first name of yours means 'A Key of Life'. And the meaning of your full name was 'The Phoenix who brought survival and regeneration using pure solar fire magic.' This is the first time I did see one phoenix who spoke in front of my sanity." By those descriptions, Ankh felt tears of joy in front of Morphonia, feeling so acceptable in those words.
"Instead, you call me Morphonia; you can nickname me Morphy so easily." Morphonia tells her nickname. Ankh also describes Morphonia's nickname as he said, "Your nickname fits your past, and you did evolve into your present, just like the 'Morphy' that I did know those meanings." Morphonia cannot believe what her first companion did say to her, so be careful to say. She replied, "I can't believe what you said to me. 'Evolution' from the source of my kingdom's treasure." Ankh was so happy about his friend too, that Morphonia appreciated what he had done to say, and he replied, "And that's your name and your nickname based on your future from your childhood."
"How did you know about my childhood?" Morphonia noticed and asked to know about how Ankh knows her past. Ankh sighed, answered, and explained that he's always inside of Amber Caverns, and continued his explanation: "I've been watching some of the Changelings for all the time."
*Flashback 13 years ago*
"I did watch all of the Changelings as I did discover something. I saw some of the Changelings who were dancing, singing, practicing in writing, making theatrical experiences, being farmers for nutritious food, and they had some problems," Ankh continued his explanation. Morphonia listens to Ankh's experiences inside her home place and asks, "So you did see the Feelings Forum? I was one of them inside." Ankh nodded as he said, "Yes. I did see the inside of your designation forum since, and I watched as many Changelings have so many problems in their life, including yourself. I saw that you're the only default Changeling who's so hard to prove your own worth. They thought that you're such a weakling, but they are wrong because you have determination and hard work. Day by day, I saw you how hard it is to fit and prove you're loving your own kind. Especially one day, you are carrying some books from the public library, and some of the Changelings didn't help you." Ankh did step up to help Morphonia and help carry the books by using his wing magic to have some levitation. "So I fly down through you and use my magic from my wings to levitate the books. After I helped you through the forum, you did say to me, 'Thank you!' and you nuzzled my cheek."
*Back Through the Present*
"I totally remember now! You're the only Phoenix who helped me and saw everything all this time? And yeah, I did remember that I did give you an appreciative and friendly reminder." Morphonia remembered what happened back through her childhood and met a kind Phoenix that did the same thing 3 times, from the past of 13 years, through the present that they met now. "This time, I can talk to understand my saying. The more I can talk, the more we can have conversations. So... can we be friends?" Ankh tells Morphonia that he can reveal he can speak and asks if he wants to have a friend. Morphonia wonders with her curiousity if Ankh is going to trust herself, and she said, "Well... if you wanted to make a friend, I wanted to have a different friend either. So... yeah, I wanted to make a friend too." Morphonia accepts Ankh.
Suddenly, Morphonia asked Ankh: "By the way, why did I go up through the top of the tree?" "Because since the night of this forest called Everfree Forest, the Timberwolves came up and wanted to eat you. Instead, I did save you again using my light of the Sun from those wings once again. All of the Timberwolves hated the brightness of the Sunlight, and I did levitate yourself up through the biggest branch of this tree." Ankh explained why he did save Morphonia once again. As Morphonia listened once again, she smiled with appreciation from her saying, "Thanks for saving me again, Ankh. I think Timberwolves can eat a single ponies who can travel in this forest. I'm glad that you came for a rescue, like a story about 'Sleeping Filly' which the Prince came for the rescue of one Princess who's asleep." "'Sleeping Filly'? Isn't that one of the tales from Equestria, written by Charles Percolt? Or the ones that Maretime Bay Ponies did live action, but difference the storyline a little bit?" Ankh asked Morphonia for a choice. "The original storytelling one, with the ones who wrote it. More than live action with some differences in writing and directed," Morphonia replied and answered.
"I guess all of you love 'Originality', more than new ones," Ankh said, realizing Changelings like 'originality'. Morphonia has some precise personality as she laughs so silently and she says, "Precisely, Ankh! Us Changelings didn't like some new ways that come from the ponies. We always love some origins, especially remembering our dear Princess of Friendship, Twilight..." "Sparkle!" Morphonia suddenly gasps as Ankh says, who knows the the Alicorn of Friendship is magic. "I really did know about her stories, including her friends...," Ankh continued his discovery, "on how powerful her friendship was."
"So that's why I trusted you, Ankh. Knowing about some stories from the past, that was now relevant to this present. *Thinking, 'Move On* We should go on then and be careful because Everfree Forest was a dangerous forest." Morphonia appreciates and then warns about Everfree Forest to Ankh. "Okay then, Morphy! As a traveling guide, I know some of the paths the way through Equestria." Ankh replied with agree and being a guide, so Morphonia also agreed to his saying and continued on the way through Equestria.
Hour by hour, fly and fly, walk by walk, and having some stopovers Morphonia and Ankh enjoyed some of their moments and talked about how they're experiencing Princess Twilight and her friends. About their journeys, problems, actions, and their morals about friendship.
Later that evening, Morphonia and Ankh searched for a place to live for the rest of the night, as Morphonia and Ankh said:
"*Breathing so tired* I'm so tired now. Except... Still no place to rest."
"Maybe I can fly through the sky if it has some lights like a cottage or something."
"Try your luck, Ankh!"
As Ankh flies through the sky, he sees that the shining light comes from the one castle. "Morphy! I found something from that castle!" Ankh says, trying to tell what he had found. Suddenly, a blast that comes from the ground makes Ankh confused. He thought to himself as he said, "Something off underneath. Morphy, are you okay?!" as he flies back through the ground and sees Morphonia who fights off with the horde of Timberwolves. Morphonia attack was so determined using her blasters and using the force field to defend herself. Although her attack could not affect the Timberwolves. "MORPHY!" Ankh flies through the battle, and using his solar light magic that lightened up the whole forest, the Timberwolves feel pain in their eyes, and Ankh says, "It's the chance, Morphy! Just follow me!" as he and Morphonia have a chance to run and fly faster through what Ankh saw. While they're in the rush, the Timberwolves chase themselves as they almost reach the abandoned castle. Once they reach inside, the Timberwolves begin to be frightened by the light inside of the forest and retreat back through the forest one by one. Morphonia and Ankh saw those Timberwolves retreated and turned their backs as the saw in front inside of the castle was... The Tree House of Harmony.
"Morphy? Do you see what I see?" Ankh asked Morphonia. "I think... we're inside of the ruin Castle of the Two Sisters. And this light was... The Tree House of Harmony!" Morphonia answered as she knew about the legendary tree, and Ankh replied, "Tree House of Harmony? *Flies above the tree* Maybe some pony or some creature created this kind of magic." Morphonia reads the history book, and one of the contents implies, 'Who created the Tree House of Harmony?'" "According to this, the one who created the original Tree of Harmony was Star Swirl the Bearded and the 5 Pillars of Equestria. For the unity of all the creatures with friendship, which created this tree was: Gallus the Griffon, Silverstream the Hippogriff, Sandbar the Earth Pony, Yona the Yak, Smoulder the Dragon, and the Changelings' memorable hero along the young six: Ocellus. They recreated the Tree from pieces of crystal wood since King Sombra destroyed the Tree of Harmony, alongside the Elements of Harmony, until it became the Tree House, which means their bond-ness is stronger than anypony didn't do." Morphonia mentions how both created the Tree of Harmony, and the Tree House of Harmony.
"Exactly, Morphonia." The voice spoke near the tree, calling Morphonia and Ankh as its witnesses. The one who spoke was the one who appeared to be the Spirit of the Tree of Harmony, which is still disguised as the young Princess Twilight Sparkle. "Princess... Twilight... Sparkle?" Morphonia asked the spirit. "*Chuckles* If you might say that, it's okay. Although for myself, I'm the Spirit of Tree of Harmony, who is still disguised as the young Princess Twilight Sparkle. I'm glad that you made this place as the new generations who witnessed this forgotten place, where that kind of magic was undoubtedly powerful." The spirit answered, revealing who she really was and proving the Tree House of Harmony was still powerful. Morphonia and Ankh cannot believe what they heard from the spirit.
Morphonia asked the spirit, "What do you mean... 'Forgotten'?" The spirit explained what happened to the once peaceful Equestria, with some of the creatures of union, into the disastrous chaos of Opaline Arcana. She also explains that she protected the tree by putting it in an invisible magic that Opaline didn't know that the Castle of the Two Sisters has the strange magic that comes from the union of other kinds of creatures. She saw that Gallus, Silverstream, Sandbar, Yona, Smolder, and Ocellus separated their ways to help their own kind. For the result, the creature went so far, farther than their former locations, to avoid Opaline.
Morphonia explained hers on what happens next from the 3 kinds of ponies as she said, "As for the 3 kinds of ponies, I think they forgot the importance of how every creature brought the Tree of Harmony into this kind of house, or mansion! I think they forgot that there was more unison that needed to be reunited." "Precisely, Morphonia. You're just like Ocellus, who was so worried about what if some creature will never accept her trust, even though she's one of the love eaters before. That's why I did see you, proving your own worth and trust for the love of your kind." The spirit replied to Morphonia, seeing the worth of a traveler really impressed those experiences. Also the spirit mentions Ankh as she says, "And... one more thing. *Look through Ankh.* Ankh, you're the first Phoenix who flew through Morphonia's home place and saw everything about Morphonia's struggle. You have also proven your own noble even if you have a higher life than Morphonia, but you have the biggest responsibility to help and defend her as a companion and a friend."
"Indeed, dear spirit. I always watch her back and understand each of her given descriptions from her book. And for my discovery... Changelings like her were truly love for originality and memorability." Ankh explained his discovery with honesty and loyalty in front of the spirit. As the spirit listens to Ankh, she says, "That's why you always watch out for Morphonia, until she becomes who she is now, choosing you as the companion and trusted friend as she'll help you in exchange." Ankh nodded, after listening to the spirit's understanding contribution and exchanges.
"So... two of you will have a rest in this place for a night, since the Timberwolves take over after the ponies disappeared 1,000 moons ago. And ever since you two get along for quite some time, I know that your friendship and trust will be stronger if helping is always needed." The spirit allowed the travelers to let them rest for the night. By those words of approval, The Tree House of Harmony suddenly opened, as Morphonia and Ankh were amazed at what the spirit did say and opened the door as a guest.
Morphonia appreciates the spirit as she says, "Thank you so much, oh dear spirit one. I'll never forget what you saw about us so positively and moralize our actions. Also, your giving rewards to let us in." Ankh nodded as Morphonia says, and the spirit of Harmony accepts Morphonia's appreciation.
Later that night, Ankh saw Morphonia, who was thinking about her tomorrow alongside her companion, as Ankh asked, "Morphonia? I know you're thinking about tomorrow once again. Maybe this... tomorrow we can still travel and not think about the future." "I guess you're right, Ankh. Maybe I overthink or something, on what tomorrow we have. Good thing you did meet me for an important matter of friendship too. I'm so lucky on what I've encountered about the mysterious Phoenix that you are," Morphonia replied, with overthink and realization from Ankh's reminder. "So... Morphy the traveling changeling! Shall we continue this journey tomorrow?" Ankh asked Morphonia and reached his claws as Morphonia said "Yes... after we say goodbye to the spirit of Harmony." and reached Morphonia's left hoof to Ankh's claws as they shake their own claw and hoof.
Then suddenly, there was some creature who lurked in the walls of the castle, watching Morphonia, and Ankh agreed and prepared their bed to sleep. The shadowed one has the lightning-shaped feather tails, wings, and mohawk-style head feathers in his head. His facial expression was so wicked on planning something special about the 2 travelers.
Later in the night, while Morphonia was asleep alongside Ankh, she had a dream that she saw one unicorn who has a magic of pure fire. But not just a unicorn; it also appeared to have wings like an Alicorn. Morphonia felt frightened as she was cornered with some flames, and the shadowed figure came nearer and nearer, until she woke up after the sunrise.
Part 2:
Ankh suddenly woke up too as Morphonia got terrified and afraid and asked, "Morphy, what's wrong?" "I got a dream, Ankh. I saw the shadowed Alicorn who tried to cover me in flames as it came nearer to me." Morphonia answered and explained her dream so frightening. Ankh got petrified after listening to Morphonia's dream, and then he said. "Don't worry about it, Morphonia. It's just a nightmare, so think about this present instead." Morphonia breathes so slowly as she calms herself down. After she calmed down, she said to Ankh, "You're right, Ankh. It's just a dream, but sorry if I scare you about how I shouted with fear earlier." and Ankh understood as he said, "It's okay, Morphy. It's normal for us beings with those bad dreams." Morphonia smiled with tears and said, "Like you said that we can think about the next thing and the present, maybe we should move on through another place now." "Okay then, Morphy. Before we get going, we're going to keep your things and..." Ankh agreed and reminded Morphonia. But she continued Ankh's saying, "Before we're gonna move on, we're going to say 'thank you' to the Spirit of Harmony."
As the two travelers went down the stairs and finally made it through the ground, Morphonia called the spirit as she and Ankh wanted to have a gratitude and farewell reminder. "I see that you wanted to say a farewell reminder to me, Morphonia." The Spirit of Harmony once again appeared in front of the two travelers. "*Morphonia* Very indeed, dear spirit." "*Ankh* As us travelers needed to go on through another place." The two travelers reminded the spirit as they're going to go on traveling. "Be careful, my travelers, as long as you're still at Everfree Forest. And before midnight, you must stay in one nearest place. And I appreciated your gratitude, Morphonia." "I'll never forget what you do to save us that night." Morphonia once again, she can't forget about what the spirit does to the travelers. "And we'll promise that we'll be safe out there." Ankh promised the spirit that both his and Morphonia will be safe. The spirit nodded as she agreed, and then the two travelers bowed in front of one spirit. Once they bowed as they said goodbye, Morphonia and Ankh left the Castle of the Two Sisters and went on through another place of Equestria. But once again, the bird that appeared was the light blue and yellow-saturated feathered lightning wings, feather hairs, and wings that spied on the two travelers.
Later that day, Morphonia felt so hungry after she woke up and was still moving on to travel alongside Ankh. "What's wrong, Morphy? You feel frowned and so hard," Ankh asked. "I feel so hungry, Ankh. I don't have food inside of my bag, as I did eat those yesterday." Morphonia answered Ankh, as she's really hungry. "Also, I have so many stopovers and shared my food with you... *Suddenly bump into a big tree.* Ouch! *And suddenly gasped.*" After she continued her saying and bumped into a big tree, she saw that the mysterious tree was the Apple Pear tree.
Morphonia recognized this tree from one of the history books as she saw the same picture as she was looking now. She says, "Is that...?" "The legendary Apple Pear Tree. I saw the description that Grandpear and Granny Smith have had a fight since. But when Pear Butter and Bright McIntosh had a relationship, when they had a secret wedding, they planted their seeds and became this beautiful tree reunited between the two kinds of families." Ankh explained how the tree was created.
"And what happened to Applejack's parents?" Morphonia asked if she wanted to know her parents. Ankh wonders what happened to Applejack's parents, but instead as he said, "I don't know what happened to them. I know it's kinda having some mysteries going on in this story. I noticed from the history book that Granny Smith doesn't want to talk about that. It was so sad that Applejack's parents left, and created this beautiful and memorable tree." "It kinda reminds me about the one story, which the 2 kinds of family did fight each other. But when the one filly from the one family, and the colt was from another, even different but wanted to be together. In the end, they both died, and I think Applejack's parents died in the same way as the story." Morphonia mentioned the one story that was also based on Applejack's parents. "You're saying it was just like Romeo and Filliet. But it was different that Applejack's parents' deaths were unknown." Ankh mentioned a novel title, but it was different from the ending.
Morphonia touches the tree as she says, "No one can remember this tree nowadays. I think the habits of the new 3 kinds of ponies eat something!" "Exactly Morphy! I saw some of the Earth Ponies eating french fries and pizza. No one can ever remember about the Apple Family since all of the ponykind lose all their friendship and magic. Except... us." Ankh was having precise moments, sharing his answer to Morphonia. "*Inhales* It looks like no Apple Family member is around; who's going to hear my permission to get 2 of each apple and pear?" Morphonia felt disappointed that no-Apple family members were going to hear her permission. Suddenly, the Apple Pear Tree shines so bright and plucks 2 of each apple and pear through the 2 travelers, who saw as they were curious. Morphonia asked the tree if it was okay to eat, and the tree shines brighter as it accepts, and then slowly fades the light of the tree.
"Lucky me, Morphy! I guess these rewards have luck!" Ankh got delighted as he and Morphonia had the luck of 2 apples and 2 pears to eat. "Not just luck, Ankh. I guess the magic from this tree called 'Fauna', lightened up as a spirit, and gave us a gift," Morphonia said, knowing the magic got hooked on the Apple Pear Tree. "What kind of gift did it give to us?" Ankh asked what gift it symbolized. "It mentioned that during Granny Smith's era, she and her cousins, uncles, and aunties of the family were the longest timeline ever since. They established the town of Ponyville, until her son Bright Mac brought this special tree with Pear Butter, as their symbolism was in relationship and bond. So the kind of gift is not just these, but it symbolizes memories, unity, and love from our heart." Morphonia answered Ankh's question, symbolizing the true gift beyond their hearts. She continued her saying about the tree, "And I think the magic returned after centuries without magic. So I think if this tree belongs to the Earth Ponies, maybe they have their 'Flora' and 'Fauna' magic in this present!"
"I think so, Morphy. If we're going further through Maretime Bay, maybe their answers from your theories are right," Ankh replied as he listened to Morphonia's theories. Morphonia thought about Maretime Bay, that she says, "Your saying was my first destination, and that's where we are going after. I also have a question for each of Ponykind, if it has an alternative trap for Opaline. Ever since I was a researcher, I wanted to know what happened after all of it occurred." Morphonia replied that 'Maretime Bay' was her first destination, which was the new home place of the 3 kinds of ponies. Ankh got worried if some of the ponykind didn't know Changelings as he said, "But... even if they forgot about Changelings, are you sure to prove it once again?" "Even my own sanity was different from their looks, but my heart matters the innocence with a little bit of patience" Morphonia replied, having a determination to prove her heart's worth once again.
"I'll make sure if your philosophy will be worked out. And even if it doesn't work, I can support you," Ankh said, looking up for Morphonia as the supporter with faith. Morphonia saw Ankh, tearing her eyes as she was so proud, and she said, "Thanks Ankh. You must be so supportive and have accompanied me." Through their staring in their eyes, Morphonia and Ankh smiled each other with tears as they had trusted each other.
Once again, the mysterious bird watches the two travelers making a conversation as he was in the branch of one of the trees. The mysterious bird hears Morphonia's saying, "Thank you, oh, one of the oldest trees." She thanked the tree, and she said, "We should get a move on now, Ankh," as she and Ankh move on through the path on their walk. And the mysterious bird still stalks the two travelers.
Flying around as the bird finally made his attack through Morphonia's head as he went down, trying to scratch Morphonia's head. However, Morphonia saw the shadow as she ducked her whole body and saw the bird that it was a... Thunderbird. Morphonia saw the thunderbird as she was breathing so seriously and asked, "Is that...?" "A thunderbird!" Ankh knows about the one mythical bird who has been spied. The Thunderbird laughs so wickedly, and he says, "You pathetic travelers! I've been stalking you all the time since you two got along for 1 day!" "And I knew that you're the ones you're stalking us for so long, you thunderhead!" By Ankh's saying, before the Thunderbird shows up, Ankh feels there was an ominous being as the Thunderbird spied on him and Morphonia. "Even if you did know my presence, you are still pathetic just like you, Phoenix!" The Thunderbird said so nasty.
"Pathetic, huh? You just wanted to hurt my companion!" Morphonia wanted to defend her companion. "Exactly, you shape changer bug! Mythic bird to mythic bird is more like killing its own prey, just like this phoenix who gets in my way!" The Thunderbird says, attempts to defeat Ankh, and suddenly he attacks the two travelers. Morphonia says, "You're not going to do this to my friend!" as she is determined to protect Ankh,and attack using her blasters.
But instead, the Thunderbird flew so fast to avoid Morphonia's attack and cast a thunder attack through Morphonia. Although she unleashes her new magic ability, the mirror shield, which reflects the attack back through the Thunderbird, Ankh saw the attack as he never saw that before, but the Thunderbird avoided his own attack after it reflected back, once again using his thunder magic. Ankh makes his turn by blocking the attack and flaps his wings open as the attack suddenly fades. Morphonia gasped as she saw Ankh want to help, and she said "Ankh... why are you doing this?"
"My Morphy, we should help each other! I can't leave you here as I have a responsibility to help," Ankh determines, as there were no choices from escaping. "But... Ankh. You thought that you could defeat a Thunderbird? But he's...!" Morphonia warns Ankh about how powerful their enemy was. But Ankh continues by saying, "I know he's crazy! Even my life was in this state of this event, but I have the determination to protect your own life too!" The Thunderbird growls as he bluffs Ankh's philosophy of friendship and nobility, and Ankh says, "Trust me ,Morphy. If I did trust you, then trust me back. I'll never fail a single friendship as I did meet you." Morphonia listens to Ankh's words of friendship, and she says, "You're right, Ankh. I should be selfless to you, and also I want to keep you safe from harm. And you're right that we should stick together not just my companion, but also... my friend!"
"You reminded me about the most important thing about friendship, and I reminded you how you can become selfless. I finally noticed that you learned one of the important values of friendship." Ankh reminds and notices Morphonia's moral. Morphonia and Ankh turn their heads through each other as they say, "*Morphonia* So... Trust Forever... *Morphonia and Ankh* Stronger Together!" Then they attack the Thunderbird as Morphonia casts a Mirror Magic Shield, meanwhile Ankh using his light magic from his wings, directly lightened through the Thunderbird's eyes. The Thunderbird growls as he feels hurtful from his eyes, as he says "You cheaters! I'll show you what kind of a Thunderbird I am!" and unleashes his ultimate magic by summoning dark clouds around the fields of Sweet Apple Acres.
The dark clouds release some of the thunder strikes through the two travelers. "Blast It! Ankh, hold on to my side!" Morphonia says, holding Ankh's side and unleashing her mirror shield above. The two travelers struggle to have an attack once again, and Ankh observes that he says, "This is the ultimate magic of the Thunderbird!" "Precisely, you little birb! I can easily toast you both from my sight!" The Thunderbird precises Ankh, and he unleashes the large thunderbolt on the top of Morphonia's shield.
Morphonia struggles to hold the attack, and even she created the force field, covering herself with Ankh. Although the force field was not too long, it had a broken piece as it was almost opened, the force field got open and the large thunderbolt through Morphonia's head. Ankh stepped up, sacrificing his life to save Morphonia, as he was hit by the Thunderbird's thunderbolt. Ankh fell from the top of Morphonia unconsciously and turned into the ashes. Morphonia says "ANKH!" and tries to catch Ankh's soul ashes as she uses her magic to create a bowl, and the ashes fall inside of it, and the bowl turns into a bubble of force field.
Morphonia felt terrified and sadder as she watched Ankh sacrifice his own life for his companion. The Thunderbird watches Morphonia as he laughs so wickedly and says, "Your companion has fallen into that pathetic material! You can no longer use your help, and no pony's going to help you now!" Morphonia heard what the Thunderbird says, and she says so seriously with those tears from her eyes, "You could say that, one more time...! Even i was all alone, without my friend...! But... my memories are much stronger than you think of some cockiness of yours, and you can't take away! Each of my sufferings... and each of my hard work, proving my sanity's life of trust! And you did hurt my companion, as you didn't know we've been meeting each other since!" and attack using her blasters. While the two rivalries fight, the ashes inside of the bubble that Morphonia created have a blink of light that is still alive.
Inside of Ankh's ashes was his soul still alive as he got unconscious, and he did feel Morphonia's suffering as she avenged against the Thunderbird. Ankh's soul closed his eyes, and there were those images as he saw his memories. Through the memories between Morphonia and himself, their friendship memories include how little Morphonia shares her favorite drink, Matcha tea (green tea) to calm Ankh down. Ankh says, "Morphonia... I wanted to..." and it has a ballad tune as he sings.
That time, you did meet me
That time, you shared with me
The friendship you did tell me about those
I wanted to be with... you.
Revealing as a Mysterious Phoenix
Dancing through the skies
Like a painting with fiery effect
With a feathers fly like a wind
Then suddenly, Ankh heard Morphonia's saying, "You can't destroy Ankh's ashes...! Even if you want that, but I cannot allow what you're doing to him!" struggle to protect his soul ashes. Ankh felt tears, seeing the one Changeling avenged himself. And he continues his singing:
Oh Morphonia, you're fighting like a scout
Avenged myself as a friend
Even my looks as a material to you
But the most important thing... most important thing
The most important thing...
was your trust
By the singing and appreciation from Ankh, he shone so bright as his ashes started to regenerate. Morphonia's bubble popped up, and the ashes danced through the sky as Morphonia saw Ankh's regeneration. The Thunderbird attempts to steal Ankh's ashes, however the spark shows up through the thunderbird's eyes as it is too late and being pushed backwards. Then the ashes formed into a phoenix as the spark increasing the brightness alongside the sun, removing all the thunderclouds as it becomes clearer. Morphonia covered her eyes using her right hoof, and the Thunderbird dissolves to nothing as he says "NOOOOO!" and slowly faints.
As Morphonia opens her eyes as she moves her hoof back through the ground to make her stand, she sees Ankh, who's reviving back. "Ankh!" Morphonia says, trying to call her friend, as she saw the awakening Phoenix. But not just that... what else? His wings turn into his front hooves, his hair turned blondish shell end mane and tail, his body turns light red, a red to light pink unicorn horn, and a cutie Mark of a middle diamond - shaped light and dark marigold Phoenix. The spark from the sun slowly fades into the normal state as Ankh's magic fades, and he falls almost through the ground as Morphonia catches him as she flies.
As she holds Ankh and he lands through the ground, she gently puts him down and checks if it has injuries. Once Morphonia checked all of it, that was normal. Ankh's eyes blinking as he woke up-the same eyes as he was in his Phoenix form. "*Yawns and Breath* Morphonia...!" Ankh wakes up as he yawns and calls Morphonia's name. "Ankh! I'm glad that you came back... but different now! You're a real unicorn!" Morphonia says, gladly that Ankh came back from his sacrifice as once a little Phoenix, but he reverted back into a unicorn. Ankh is surprised by Morphonia's joy and gladness. He says, "Really, Morphy?!" and looks as from his form of a Phoenix, and now he was a unicorn. But when he saw something wrong, he got disappointed, and Morphonia saw his frown as she said, "What's wrong, Ankh?" "Nothing, Morphy! I'm just wondering what I am now," Ankh says, having wonder, but he disappoints himself a little.
Morphonia wondered if Ankh's response was accurate, and she responded, "Are you sure? Something's wrong about you." Ankh became alarmed at what Morphonia had seen, and he exclaimed, "Yeah, it's totally great!" Then, suddenly, he became concerned about Morphonia's ire and said, "I know Morphonia, I did lie to you but someday you'll know. I promise I can tell you something, if you want to know about me, by realizing my true self." He then asked, "So, if I turn into something extraordinary to you... can you still trust me?" and she eventually received a response: "If your friendship was strong and true, I'll accept your promise to me, and your friendship." and then Morphonia raises her right hoof, meanwhile Ankh raises his left hoof, shaking hooves as they agree with each other.
Later that night, Morphonia and Ankh stayed on the inside of the abandoned Sweet Apple Acres Barn, lying down in a bunch of old wheats as both of them saw the stars in the night sky. Ankh asks Morphonia, "So what is our tomorrow once again, Morphonia?" "You forgot? You said to me like I can't think about tomorrow. We can just know in the end, facing it... without overthinking those in the future." Morphonia reminds Ankh on how the unicorn from a Phoenix almost forgot what he shared his experiences. "I guess... I almost forgot about that since yesterday. Maybe I was being myself in this form once again," Ankh said, almost forgetting and he thinks he was back in his form. As the two travelers talk until they fall asleep in the middle of the beautiful night as, the image goes up through the background.
Later that night, while Morphonia and Ankh asleep, Ankh's magic from the horn got lightened of yellow and did absorb one fire from the torch as it became the magic through the horn, increasing his magic. And a light turned off as the inside of the barn got dark.

Author's Note: Ankh, the Phoenix was now reverted into a unicorn, although in the next chapter will reveal his true form. His name truly means 'A Key of Life' based on one Egyptian Charm. Another thing that I did that made that character was... i'm also a fan of Japanese Thingys, like Animes and life action heroes. Especially Kamen Riders, which is why I created a logic of the same name, motif of his Phoenix form, and his mane, but different personality and storyline. If you noticed the other characters in G4, are based in other franchises, just like Doctor Hooves/Time Turner is just like the 10th Doctor of Doctor Who. And I did see the latest issue of MLP: Storm of Zephyr Heights Comics, which has a 'The Flintstones' reference. Many years ago, I noticed that Japanese fans of MLP created Japan PonyCon, after it released the first ever Japanese Dub of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.
About the story 'Sleeping Filly' was based on 'Sleeping Beauty' written by Charles Perrault, which the ponyfied version was Charles Percolt, one of my mentioned fairy tales since I was a child. The undoubtedly famous Disney female villain was Maleficent, so similar to Opaline Arcana. Another thing that was why Morphonia met a talking phoenix, similar when Maleficent has a pet and loyal crow. Unfortunately, the same encounters but like I said: different characters and storyline. And the new magic from the Earth Ponies mentioned like 'Flora' and "Fauna' was the two of the characters from Disney's Sleeping Beauty alongside Merryweather,
In part 2, there was the novel reference about Applejack's parents, Romeo and Julliet, written by William Shakespear. Pear Butter and Bright Mac died after Apple Bloom got birth without any reasons. So that's why Morphonia and Ankh in original form (Almost revealed) are in different looks and Ankh's home place will be revealed in the next episode.
Ankh in his Phoenix form was based on real life ornithology, including talking parrots, even the half mythology was a phoenix. In reality, I did wish to have a parrot, although my mom says if she's retired from her job. Also why did the ring turned into his two bird claws? Referenced in Disney Aladdin's Genie that when he floated he doesn't have legs. Just a phantom spirit tail, but when he landed he had legs.
Some of the G4 references that wasn't mentioned from G5 debut of the History of Equestria and old Discord from IDW Comics, were the other creatures who created the Tree House of Harmony, including the Castle of the Two Sisters. And I did avoid the comparison, instead Silverstream was both Hippogriff and Seapony (G4) was only Hippogriff, because G5 showrunners did make their own Seapony from IDW and Tell your Tale Special. And the Apple Pear Tree, which I did remind Applejack's parents.
Ankh mentions Maretime Bay, as it will reveal in the next few chapters.
And lastly, mis-year as it was once again confirmed that the lore was 1,000 moons old.
This was the best chapter that I created so far, introducing Ankh as Morphonia's Phoenix companion and becoming a friend. Remembering the past lores of Equestria, especially the Tree House of Harmony, and the Apple Pear tree from the reconciliation of the Pear family and Apple family. The 2 kinds of fictional books between part 1 and 2. The reality about Birds of Prey, and I think never mentioned about the Thunderbird. And this is the first time, having a song that was called 'The Ballad of the Mysterious Phoenix'.
Next Chapter: Morphonia and Ankh finally reach the abandoned places of Ponyville, and the leftover Canterlot of Equestria after stopping by in the abandoned Sweet Apple Acres. Some of the memorable histories, storybooks or novels and famous places that were founded and occurred both maps from the following. Not just that, the secrets behind the Alicorn Sisters' birthplace will be revealed, alongside Ankh's true secret. At the end of the next chapter, Morphonia and Ankh teleport on what map they come through?
