A one pony named Sunny Starscout, runs through the two travelers, while the other ponies are too confused to know what kind of Morphonia's self was. She said, "Every-pony... please calm down! *Sunny turns into an Alicorn and spreads her wings.* That changeling will never hurt you... just you did make her scared. I'm gonna go with this changeling, give a tour inside of this town, and go to the Crystal Brighthouse to listen from her experiences. I'll leave, and all of you will be calm... got it?" Every-pony agreed as they calmed down so slowly, meanwhile Sunny comes closer through Morphonia, reaching using her right hooves in front. "Don't worry, little Changeling, i'm not afraid of who you are." Sunny entrusts Morphonia to nothing to worry, stand up through the surface of the waiting shed, without any hesitation and prove that she's not afraid.
Morphonia smiled at Sunny, knowing that the Earth Pony turned Alicorn can trust her with her eyes on being thankful with tears. Morphonia stands up and makes her way out of the roller coaster and she says so thankful, "Thanks... *Sunny: My name's Sunny Starscout.* Oh! Sunny... thanks for accepting me, even though I was different." "You're welcome little Changeling, and this little Phoenix inside of your bag." Sunny replies, saying 'you're welcome' to Morphonia. Ankh chirped at Sunny, saying "You are very resourceful too." although, Sunny didn't understand Ankh's chirping as her reaction felt so confusing herself too. Instead, Morphonia says, "He says, 'You're so resourceful, Sunny Starscout.'. I don't know why I can understand some of the avian birds saying, even some-ponies didn't understand." Sunny understands how Morphonia can also communicate with the birds, and she says, "I did understand that even I didn't understand how your Phoenix says to me, you did translate it. I know some-pony can literally understand critters, although let's do this for some time. So... for the time being, I can give you some of the tour of Maretime Bay, and i can let you rest inside of the Crystal Brighthouse as a guest, because I saw you exhausted from your travels." Morphonia smiled at Sunny, and appreciated how Sunny gave her a tour and a chance to stay inside of the Crystal Brighthouse for a while. She says, "Also... thanks again." and Sunny replied to her: "You're welcome." Sunny continued her saying as she announced: "Welcome to Maretime Bay, Ever-creatures!" glazing the two travelers' eyes so a surprise from Sunny's welcoming.
Chapter 5: A Maretime Discovery!
Later that day, Sunny gives Morphonia a tour of Maretime Bay, guiding them through the museum, beach, a movie theater (Although, Morphonia hates the light from the cinema screen that was too bright for her eyes.) Sunny makes and gives her a strawberry blast milk shake with her assistant and friend, an Auroricorn named Comet who also help for make smoothies to Morphonia back in Board Trot, and finally... they went through the most important part of Maretime Bay... the Crystal Brighthouse.
"Okay then, changeling traveler. Also... I welcomed you inside of this place, because I know you got tired and exhausted from your travels. For now... this is your place for a while, until you have a place to stay on this map. Still one of the constructions there is... quite in-progress. " Sunny says, welcoming and letting the 2 travelers stay until they have an apartment to stay for long. Outside the Crystal Brighthouse, one of Sunny's mentions about a one still in-progress apartment that every-pony built for new ponies to stay was still under construction.
Morphonia thinks and asked to Sunny, "Like an apartment... I guess? But... Ankh and I are still going through my travels for the next few days, I don't need some places to stay, and I don't have some bits to buy some of the rooms there." and she did tell the truth that Morphonia was just a simpleton, didn't need an apartment to stay and didn't have her own money to buy a lot of houses. Sunny felt disappointed and worried about her, that someday Morphonia can continue her own travels. She says, "Okay then Changeling... I know you have some personal reasons for your own life with this little Phoenix in your lap." Morphonia says her name, introducing herself in front of Sunny as she says, "I know you did always call me 'Changeling' but I have a name tho. My name is Morphonia... *Sunny looks at Morphonia so confusing about her name.* ehh. I saw you were confused about my name, so... why would you call me Morphy instead?"
"'Morphy'... I like your nickname. I think your Phoenix friend also called it the same thing as your nickname." Sunny likes Morphonia's nickname. "You're welcome, and exactly! Ankh prefers to called me 'Morphy' so easily to tongue twisted." Morphonia replied and explained that Ankh also called her 'Morphy'. "So that his name, Ankh... am i right?" Sunny finally knew about Morphonia's Phoenix name, and asked if his name was right. Ankh tweets once again and nods his head, having a point that Sunny was right. "You're really strange about your's, Ankh!" Sunny says her reaction.
"Indeed it was... very strange!" Suddenly, a one Pegasi who's while, mane, wings, and tail of light turquoise and pink, a silver hooves, a light Turquoise Irish eyes, and a right cutie mark of thunderbolt in her same color of her mane, and the top of it was the yellow crown. The three characters gasped as the one Pegasi named Zipp Storm, saying she was on the detective mode. She continued, "And well... also this Changeling and her pet Phoenix has the mysterious entrance in this town." as Ankh saw Zipp's actions so serious that makes himself so scared. Morphonia sees Ankh's reaction, and she suddenly feels annoyed as she says, "Oh... Really?! A Pegasus like you has no idea that I can feel the magic within in Board Trot, leading us from a one roller coaster ride of yours, which it was based on your cutie mark, can travel us through this place so fast! Also... Changelings like us are so resourceful, don't you dare call my Phoenix as my pet, he's my friend who can fly freely!" as she went angry and tell the truth on how did they got there.
Zipp feels ashamed of what Morphonia said to her, and she says, "Uhh... Well... sorry for being carried away about my investigation. And... sorry for misunderstanding about this Phoenix friend of yours." "You are better careful about what you thought to others, that actually it was new to yourself!" Morphonia reminds Zipp to be investigated so carefully and thoughtfully. "So... how about a rest then Morphy inside of the Crystal Brighthouse instead?" Sunny asked, wanted to welcome and gave Morphonia a rest. Morphonia agrees on what Sunny gave to her and says, "Thanks for welcoming you in your safe haven, i have traveled for 5 days since I left home." "Home? So... where is the new Changeling Hive that you did live?" Sunny says, I wanted to know where the new Changeling Hive is. Suddenly, Zipp says "Okay... fillies and cocka-phoenix, I should go on outside from this place to let you talk for a while." as she lets the 3 characters have some conversation.
As Zipp leaves the Crystal Brighthouse to let them, while Morphonia and Sunny went to the couch, Sunny explains that she knows Changelings since her dad, Argyle Starshine, also mentions about the mysterious Changeling Shapeshifters. Also she asked where did Morphonia came from, and the little changeling answers, "I'm from Amber Caverns, the changeling cave full of secrets that have incredible mirror magic. And i'm... their hero, protege, and became a traveler. I did save some of my kind from the unruly trespassers. *Morphonia and Sunny sits through the couch.* Since 11 years ago about being a default Changeling that just like Thorax, I did have a big fight with the Gargoyle as I have so much struggle to save my own kind to prove my own worth as one of them. I almost died when the Gargoyle did take a big blow to my own body, and then... miracle happens. Because of my own grave sacrifice, the Chrysalia Crystal's magic essence did revive me into this form as I am now." as she tells her story on how her current form works on her.
"Your story's very dark, and this is the one thing that i did the same thing from you. 'Proving our own truth with our trust and worth in our experiences and life.' Although... unlike yours it was the riskiest proof part of your own life, mine... needed to be proven that 3 kinds of ponies are friends since. So that's why I became an Alicorn, because I did realize that I did say about the first real choice of friendship in front of Pegasi and Unicorns alongside my own kind, and suddenly... the Unity Crystals are combined into one with unity and friendship alongside my birth as the newest Alicorn." Morphonia listens to what, Sunny did tell a story, she confuses and asks, "So... you're the ones who did bring the magic back, alongside putting the 3 kinds of crystals, am I right?"
"Yes. Wait... how did you know about the Unity Crystals in the first place?" Sunny asked Morphonia. "I was the researcher, and like i said about 'Protege' meaning i was the 'most important student', that means my mentor and ruler of the new Changeling Hive, Atticus, gave me a chance to become his personal protege." Morphonia answered Sunny's question, and then she asked, "So... if you are also the new Alicorn in this land, how did you defeat Opaline? I know that it was your fault by bringing back the magic and keeping it alive, so the result was Opaline did finally know where the source of the magic was." "We trapped Opaline... from the magic of Together Trees, access it through her own tree since once again, she invaded Equestria, almost invaded that. I didn't know that it was a curse, but we did it anyway from our own mistakes." Sunny answered Morphonia's confusion and warning reminder.
"Just better be careful to protect that Unity Crystal as long as every-creature will want and destroy that! It was the riskiest part of our own society, just like when Princess Twilight and her friends saw that King Sombra destroys the Tree of Harmony, alongside the Elements." Morphonia warns Sunny to protect the Unity Crystal as long as the villains want and destroy the Crystals. "I will, Morphonia. As the keeper of the crystals, I can protect it no matter what." Sunny agrees and has a responsibility to protect as the keeper of the crystals alongside her friends, and Morphonia gives a nod head.
Sunny thinks and wanted to know about Morphonia's magic, so she said, "So... show me about your shapeshifting abilities of yours." Morphonia shows all of her shapeshift forms, going to earth pony, Pegasus, and also a Unicorn form. Although Morphonia says, "Um... Sunny? You thought that not just my shapeshifting abilities can entertain you?" as she was gonna say so seriously to Sunny: "Can you throw this apple from myself so seriously?"
"How can I do this to you Mor...?"
"NOW!"
Sunny throws one apple through Morphonia. Suddenly, a one portal from the one evolve changeling did teleport a one apple through the second portal which was the exit. Morphonia caught the apple after it was teleported from the exit portal. Sunny gasped as she saw how did Morphonia made a mirror portal to teleport an apple. She says, "What in the name of Starswirl! I can't believe you just did that, which you're just like Starswirl the Bearded! How can you have some mirror portals that no unicorns can try teleportation spells since Unicorns do make those?!" Morphonia answered Sunny's confused question as she says, "Firstly: You think I'm just like Starswirl the Bearded. Secondly: Like i said about 'Mirror Magic', still one of the Chrysalia Crystal's main essence of evolution. And lastly: I'm not just like Starswirl the Bearded, because he did hurt Stygian's feelings. Also... finally: I'm just like the magical artifact of the changelings called: The Talisman of Mirage, that Opaline did break that artifact a long time ago!"
"Okay... this is gonna confuse me. You're not just like Starswirl the Bearded, and yeah... My dad mentioned to him that he did hurt Stygian... which it was his fault. Also... I saw the image about 'The Talisman of Mirage' contains a lot of truths and a magical refraction can attack them with purification. If your magic was both that I mentioned about those 2, maybe...?" Sunny confused about Morphonia's saying as she did say what she saw and discovered. "Yeah! The Chrysalia Crystal was not just the crystal which holds the evolution, also that crystal was based on what have you mentioned earlier, between the wonders of Starswirl the Bearded and the Talisman of Mirage. It's like a true illusion of the mirror, and by the way I can talk." Ankh did explain about the combination between the great sorcerer and the one Changeling Artifact, also he did reveal to Sunny that he can talk.
Sunny is also confused about Ankh's talkative revelation as she replied, "How can you even talk like that after all this time?!" "Well... I just don't like it when that Pegasi has those nerves on my face. So that's why i'm done pretending to be all chirped when I meet that." Ankh answered, with his annoying personality about Zipp. "You mean, Zipp, as in Zipp Storm? She's a famous Princess Detective in this place, and she's also my friend too." Sunny introduces and mentions Zipp. "Huh! She'll be careful about what she was encountered for! Me and Morphonia have been partners since 2 days ago... I mean since she was a child. Obviously even though she was a Princess of Pegasi, she didn't know that... well... how about...?!" Ankh delusions about what he heard from Sunny's saying, as he said so sassy and annoyed. Suddenly, Ankh glows and turns from the empty front from the back of his wings into his hooves, alongside his claws to hooves with a nail hoof of color dark red. Also his hair turns into an ended curly type of mane and tail of marigold, his body turns into bright red and his wings are under was the same color as his body, and the feathers was the same color as his mane. His cutie mark was the same and he grew into a normal sized pony.
Sunny was surprised by seeing Morphonia's Phoenix friend who was secretly an Alicorn, meanwhile Morphonia acted so cool as she smiled and looked at Sunny's reaction. Ankh continued his saying: "I'm one of the oldest Alicorns, which I lived for all over 1,027 moons old. Ever since Twilight Sparkle lived, but I saw the terrors of Opaline from that time. And by the way... Opaline was the nastiest Alicorn I've ever seen before, while I was disguised as a cursed Phoenix!" "So... it was you! You're the one that I saw the sun shine brightly like a Supernova! And your home place was... Skyros, am I right?!" Sunny looked so curious about Ankh's magic and life. "Firstly: I did that magic, a supernova magic that the sun suddenly shines so bright similar to the ones that it has an Alicorn lore back from my home place, the regal sisters of Equestria, especially for Princess Celestia. And secondly: Yes! I was one of the natural born Alicorns back in Skyros. So I don't deserve to become a new ruler in Equestria, I deserve to have a friend like Morphonia by not being so selfish and accepting every-creature's leadership. I just don't like to become what Opaline did to the ponies in Equestria." Ankh answered Sunny, didn't deserve to become a ruler of Equestria even though he's an Alicorn.
"Just like me, Sunny. I don't like to become the new ruler of the new Changeling Hive. I would like my life better if I was going to travel and have some contributions, like writing a book from my discoveries." Morphonia explains hers, who wants to become a traveler instead. She continued her saying, "Look... you thought that i was similar to Starswirl the Bearded from my mysterious magic, also... i'm the first to evolve Changeling with this cutie mark of mine, finding my destiny with my partner to have some different friends not just the 3 kinds of pony friends that you have. I saw some of my truths from my eyes, seeing some of the past from 1,000 moons ago, still wanted to know who's the creator behind the Chrysalia Crystal's awakening, and I did saw that the previous of my kind went sacrifice against Opaline!" "I'm sorry if I mistakenly thought that you're just like Starswirl. You're right also... you did suffer from those truths of the past, including your own kind. I must listen to your own reasons, and I didn't know what happened to Princess Twilight Sparkle. I'm sorry... Morphy." Sunny empathizes, listens, and she understands Morphonia's suffering.
"*Inhales* It's not your fault, Sunny. But you and your friends must know this, because of all of its magic, evolving and new generations, alongside myself... needed to protect from those unruly villains who wanted to take happiness and peace! Me and Ankh have some bigger responsibilities while we travel, because we always stick together, whenever there are some badly... most badly villains along our way through this town." Morphonia warns Sunny that the Unity Crystals' magic was in danger. Ankh also warns Sunny as he says "And you should be aware... because... there are more things you need to watch."
Sunny thinks and she says from her thoughts, "Morphonia and Ankh were right. I should be focused on what kind of threat can be in danger." Suddenly: "So... Sunny Starscout! If you're the real new Alicorn leader from the 3 kinds, prove to me that you're worthy to understand your friends!" Morphonia wants to see Sunny's proof of worth. Suddenly... She uses her portal magic, a big one through the large room that no pony can ever see. Morphonia, Ankh and Sunny, falls through the ground of the large room, as Morphonia and Ankh flies to quickly, meanwhile Sunny almost fall, unleashes her bubble ability to give Sunny a safe landing. Once the bubble lands through the ground, it pops and drops Sunny through the ground. Sunny confuse about what kind of place she was now and she asked, "Where am I now? And why did you do this to me?"
"Because this is your test. If my test was my own worth to my own kind, how about yours? Us Changelings are warriors of trust, since Ocellus taught us to be so courageous to the ponies, not just myself, but the others! I saw the truth that you didn't encourage your own kind to be so helpful to you!" Morphonia gives Sunny the test of worth. Suddenly, she attacks using her blasters and Sunny transforms into her Alicorn form as she did avoid Morphonia's attack, and she also uses her own light orange blasters to make a backfire. Although... Morphonia uses her portal to go in there and teleport through the other. Every single attack from Sunny's blasters, Morphonia's non-stop teleport as she keeps unleashing her portal abilities through left, right, forward, and backward. Until... when Morphonia unleashed her mirror shield as one of Sunny's blasters came through the Mirror shield, and went inside like a single drop of water.
Morphonia feels the pain, trigger from her horns as her mirror shield goes out of control. Ankh warns Sunny while he's flying and he says, "You... shouldn't have done that." "Why...?" Sunny asked Ankh, but when she turned her head through the front of Morphonia, she saw that Morphonia's magic got out of control. Morphonia's eyes turns into glow blue, and her mirror magic's light got refracted from Sunny's magic as she screams. the refract magic got target to Sunny, result as the new Alicorn's form disappeared so suddenly, and Sunny fell from the above level of the large room. Morphonia saw Sunny, and she quickly unleashed her portal, the one that catches Sunny through inside, and the one in the ground, which Sunny climb through the top and gets away through the 2nd portal. After Sunny made a nice exit, Morphonia's portals went little until they disappeared. Then... she got unconscious, leading the big portal back through Equestria, but in the sky.
Morphonia and Sunny got fall, meanwhile Ankh was flying, still making his way to save the two. Sunny tries to reach the unconscious Morphonia while they fall as she says, "Morphy! We're gonna fall!" and she got tears, begging and: "Please... use your wings to fly, and I'm sorry to get you unconscious like that! Please... wake up!" Her tears fell off to Morphonia's face, leading as a conscious changeling, saw through her eyes that she and Sunny fell. Morphonia's action was to turn around and flap her wings. "Sunny... Go on to my back as i can still fly and land safely. Sunny saw Morphonia's trusted eyes, as she agrees to do, and then she reached Morphonia's back.
"Ankh! You can transform into a Phoenix now!" Morphonia commands Ankh to transform into a Phoenix. And then he did, Ankh once again, reverse himself from normal size into a bird size, and together... they fly through the Crystal Brighthouse. Sunny was impressed by Morphonia's action as she says, "You... saved me?" "It's one of the hero's code: Save your friends even if they're in danger as you keep protecting them. Me and Ankh are always helping together, like a true friendship!" Morphonia replied, telling about the hero's code. "And we promised each other to never leave our side, with the combination of trust and noble." Ankh also reminds Sunny about the promise.
"I'm sorry if I was carried away so not careful to you. And I should also understand that you tried to become stronger." Morphonia apologizes, almost forgot to understand. "There's nothing to forgive, Morphy. I understand that I should help others not just by seeing and not sitting or staring at them." Sunny learns from her mistakes. As Morphonia lands safely through the front of the Crystal Brighthouse, and Sunny makes her way to go down, she says, "So... Morphy? Can you teach me how to do that magic?" Morphonia did think that she can do magic so selfishly. Although... she says, "I'm not forcing you to do that... but the only thing that you can do from your magic, not just here *Pointing through Sunny's head.* also... here. *Pointing at Sunny's heart.* Your heart... was the source on what you inspired from your experiences. As a traveling changeling, I can share my own wisdom and experiences for your own sanity with your friends about each of the creatures. My own responsibilities as a Traveling Changeling are so tougher than before, and you must do the same in your own way." Morphonia reminds Sunny what is the most important part of magic and life once again.
"I guess you're just like Starswirl the Bearded." Sunny says to Morphonia like a true metaphor. "Just don't say that again." Morphonia replied her back, and she thinks by continue her saying, "I guess... I could stay in this town for many days, reminded some of my adventures during my own expedition through this town." "Really... as in this town?!" Sunny asked so surprising. Morphonia said 'yes' as she had no choice but to do her own. Sunny suddenly hugs Morphonia as she says, "Oh... Thank you thank you... THANK YOU! So... you must stay inside of the Crystal Brighthouse, until... the apartment was complete." Morphonia laughs a little bit, meanwhile Ankh in his Phoenix form, landed through her head and he said, "So... friendship accomplished?"
"Ankh? Where have you been?!" Morphonia asks Ankh while she was giving a lift through her left hoof. "Well... I slowly landed through this ground of yours. I'm being careful about what I have been flying, that is what if my wings get plucked." Ankh replies, being so careful while landing. "I guess you're a smarty birdy after all." Sunny give a personality to Ankh, and three of them laughed as they saw appreciation.
Meanwhile... Zipp was on the little investigation about Ankh ones and for all while she was flying, using her goggles to know what is the true form of Ankh, but still questioning and didn't explain further. Zipp says so whispering, "What... are... you... Ankh Firesky?" as she is still confused about Ankh.

Authors Note: Morphonia's eyes were not so similar to the other Changelings eyes by effect on the light and came up like a bug to follow. Although there's the fun fact that some people with the light blue eyes can be affected by staring into the sunlight, causing their eyes to refracted and damage. Similar to Dracula's hatred of sunlight, seeing one sun during the rise of the morning light, can dissolve himself into ashes. But... it was a different story, and Halloween is over. (I did a separate Nightmare Night Episode for a while until the next few chapters.)
Morphonia's saying, 'Mirror Magic' and her attack, was the same name from My Little Pony Equestria Girls Series: Mirror Magic. Like I said about Talisman of Mirage, Morphonia was behind all of her attacks from one artifact, with the word 'Mirage', it means 'The Illusion' and 'Refraction from the light'.
Sunny did mention that Morphonia was just like Starswirl the Bearded, although... Morphonia says she's not like Starswirl, because he did hurt Stygian at first. Even Morphonia was so different from Starswirl the Bearded by her mysterious magic, although it can be helpful for her friends. She understands her friend, especially to Ankh, by helping and didn't turn her back.
Ankh's annoying and sassy attitude reaction about Zipp's investigation kinda reminds me of Donna Noble from Doctor Who. Which from the Whoniverse fans knows that character, played by the British actress who's the queen of the gag and sassy from each of her series, Catherine Tate, fitted her character as from the one of the Doctor Who Series 4 Soundtrack: The Noble Girl in Town, which it was the theme of Donna Noble. Morphonia was like the Doctor full of Trust, and Ankh was like Donna Noble, which was the best duo for me.
Morphonia's mirror teleportation, shield, and eyes of truth was so similar to Doctor Who's 14th Doctor's Sonic Screwdriver. Mixed into one between Starswirl the Bearded's magic, and the significance of the Talisman of Mirage, kinda looks like 3 types of Sonic Screwdriver mixed into one, added some of intercept teleport, remote screen mode, and force field.
I did avoid the similar from the actual MYM and TYT about Sunny's ability that something just like Twilight Sparkle's from G4, learning about how unicorn magic can be use not just levitation, also blasters, force field, and teleportation.
New character development: Like I said, Morphonia was just like Starswirl the Bearded, who did mentor the Alicorn Regal Sisters from the past three and a half thousands of years. Might be similar that Morphonia did challenge Sunny as... a student who learns how important friendship to the other creatures was.
Next Chapter: Zipp was always confused at Ankh Firesky's Phoenix Form, on why Morphonia can understand him. Release: December 17, 2024.
