Snow falls in the gleaming of the moon as the night sky claims the day. Sweeping in on a group of guys loading up a van at the back of a club labeled, The Zone. One with Raven colored hair helping a dirty blond haired man load a piano into the van.
Walking back into the building a party going on inside strobe lighting up the place. The stage having a DJ, on neon flashing turn tables, while the crowd on the dance floor is having a blast. The two guys move through the crowd making their way to the bar. Sitting at the bar stool next to a guy wearing a cowboy hat with brown hair, in a bang partial coving his right eye. Sipping on some whisky he turned to look at the two guys walking up to him.
"There you guys are, what took you so long? Allen is already off on the dance floor somewhere. We had a good performance tonight." The guy in the cowboy hat said taking another swig of his drink.
"Would've been helpful if you guys helped!" Yelled the blond haired guy, wearing a dark Slayer shirt and black jeans.
"We handled it on our own Xavier. Anyway Roy, where's your date?" The Raven said as he ordered a rum and coke.
"She should be here any moment. Speaking of date, where's your date, Aiden? Ever since you've been seeing that girl, you've been more cheerful." The brown haired boy said as he took another swig of his drink.
"She's off taking her final exams. Something I should be studying for, yet I'm here with you guys. At least we are getting paid for this gig. The last couple of ones have been free charity work. Can't pay bills with those, let alone tuition." The Raven said as a dark drink landed in front of him.
"Well at least more people are coming to our shows unlike the past mon-" The brown haired boy rattled on before being interrupted by a gal with a lime green blouse, dark sweats, and hair tied in a ponytail.
"This is where you've been hiding, Roy. Sulking with your friends." The gal said, taking the brown haired boy's hat, placing it gently on her head.
"I'm not hiding, just waiting for you to get here. While these idiots piss about." The brown haired boy said, turning around and getting up from the stool. The two other guys laughed as she took a step back.
"Ahh, Clare, you're looking well. Still taking care of the shelter? Surprised you're able to make it this late." The Raven said downing his rum and ordering another.
"I couldn't miss you guys gig. Since I've missed the last five. Only seems fair I show up for one. You and Laura have been getting close the past couple of weeks. Surprised she's not here. Anyway, don't miss the rest of the party." Clare said as Roy took his hat back centering it back on his head.
The Raven chuckled,"Ehh, she's studying for finals. Don't let us stop you guys date night. Just don't have too much fun. We need him in one piece."
Clare laughed as Roy promptly flipped the Raven the bird. Then Roy grabbed Clare by the arm and whisked her away into the crowded dance floor. The Raven waved as the two vanished into the crowd.
Xavier ran his hand through his dirty blond hair and laughed,"I can't ever get enough of those two. I'm glad he found such a jem. Anyway, mine as well enjoy the night." A clear drink landed in front of the blond haired boy as the two clinked glasses, the blond downed his. Then vanished into the crowd as well.
Sitting at the bar while everyone parties around him. The Raven taking swigs of his drink felt a tap on his shoulder. Turing to find a breeze of a white coat pass by him leaving a note. The note sealed by a familiar mark, an eagle with a bloody feather in it tallens. Taking another swig before opening the note and reading it.
Downing his drink and leaving. The Raven went to his apartment, changed into his silver robes and grabbed his wrist blade. Then hopped out his bedroom window. Taking to the roof tops making his way to the northeast side of town. At a clock tower above a busy road near a fancy theater hall. As people filed into the theater building, the Raven watched. Wind blowing his dark hair, stoically waiting for his target to enter. Catching a glance of a man with three scantily clad girls on his arms walking into the theater. Glittering and shining like the rest of the people entering the theater.
Raising his hood, the Raven swiftly climbed down the clock tower and slid into the crowd as the doors for the theater closed. The whole place was filled with people dressed in fancy gowns and suits. Prancing around like nothing in the world can touch them. Doing his best not to be consumed by anger he saw his target move through the halls to the fourth floor. Following in that direction the Raven bumped into a person wearing familiar armored purple robes with a scar down her left eye.
"We meet again, assassin scum. I won't let you slip through my fingers this time." The woman said as she pushed the Raven and the people around them continued moving through the halls past them.
"You Order dogs, always cause nothing but problems. Think you can stop me this time huh." The Raven said checking for a quick exit if necessary.
"We impose security for those who deserve it. Those who are worthy. All you assassin's do is cause chaos. I can't wait till we wipe you vermin out of this city. Plus you don't seem to have your friend with you. Shame, I would've liked to end you both for making a fool out of me at the market."
"I don't need backup to deal with you, Order lacky."
The halls became empty as the performance had begun. Both of them staring each other down as the woman drew her hand axe and the Raven pulled out a dagger.
Quickly throwing the dagger at the Woman the Raven dashed diagonally at the wall. Blocking the dagger with her axe, knocking it into the air above her. Kicking off the nearby wall the Raven grabbed the dagger out the air and slashed downward. Dodging To the left of his swing. The woman swong her axe horizontally attempting to lop off the Raven's head. Barely ducking the swing he jumped backwards and lunged at the woman. His dagger clashing with her axe. Peering at her through his fox mask, the Raven kicked her in the stomach. Sending her backwards, taking the time to quickly dash into one of the rooms that had balcony seats above. Sheathing his blade the Raven scaled the wall to the seats two floors above. Seeing his target at the fourth floor, three sections to his right. Waiting for him at the door of the section was a woman wearing black armored robes much like the other woman, though the woman was a lot more slender than the one in purple robes.
"Where do you think you're going?" The woman in dark robes said her red hair flowing down to her shoulders.
Dashing at her he tackled her to the ground and extended his wrist blade. Grabbing his wrist she stopped the blade centimeters from entering her neck. Rolling and kicking the Raven off of her. Throwing him into the third floor hallway he got up and continued down the hall. The woman in dark robes pulled out a small crossbow and fired it at the Raven. Barely dodging it, the bolt nailing into the wall, he slipped into another balcony section. One floor lower than his target. Climbing up to the balcony where his target was located. Arriving at the floor he was grabbed by his throat and hoisted into the air.
"Slippery bastard aren't ya. Too bad." The woman in the purple robes as she grinned evilly. As she was swing her axe the target stopped her.
"Keep him alive, we can squeeze information out of him. He could lead us to the brotherhood." The man said removing the fox mask from his face.
"Hum, the silver Raven. Finally get to see your face, I've been tracking you for so long." The woman said as the Raven drew his dagger and stabbed it into her arm.
Making her let go of him scream and he fell. Two floors down he grabbed the ledge of one of the balconies, almost slipping. Pulling himself up the Raven climbed into the section. Running out of the room and into the hallway. He faced the woman in dark robes again. She immediately fired a bolt into his shoulder and punched him in the face. Using his other hand he threw a right hook but was countered and she flipped him. Pinning him to the ground. Then hit him in the head with the butt of the crossbow, knocking the Raven out.
Three hours passed and the Raven woke up in a dark cell with pain in his left shoulder, his weapons taken away, and tied up. Looking around he only noticed a small window and little moon light peeking through it. A few seconds later the women in robes walked into the damp room, one holding a lantern.
"Wakey Wakey, assassin scum. You're gonna tell us where your stronghold is." The woman in purple robes said her voice mixed anger and glee.
"We've got you all to ourselves now little Raven." Said the woman in dark armored robes with scarlet hair. Hitting him with the back of her hand. Blood trickled down his nose.
"You're gonna tell us where your stronghold is. Whether you like it or not. We've got all the time in the world." Said the woman in the purple robes.
After hours of torture the assassin didn't break. He wouldn't speak. Not even a whisper. He took the beating and shook it off, with a grin Plastered across his face. The two members of the Order growing more and more impatient. The two huddled up and whispered to each other. They ended up leaving the damp room as the Raven sat tied up bruised and beaten. Looking around the room he began to rock the chair back and forth. Falling on his side with a loud thud. Loosening the ropes enough to break his hands free. With his hands free and untied his legs. Hearing footsteps he pretended to having his bounds as the two walked back in.
"Hope you having been waiting long. Luckily for you this place isn't anywhere near the east district. There is no one coming to rescue you, little Rav-" The woman in purple robes boasted getting close. Interrupted by a headbutt from the Raven. Reeling back covering her face.
The scarlet haired woman attempted to tackle him. He leaped over her, shoving the purple robed woman into the wall, taking one of her hand axes. Then he ran out the door.
"After him, we can't let him escape!" Yelled the woman in purple robes as his shadow faded into the hallway.
Running down the corroradoor he passed nothing but cell doors, one after another. Leading to a stairwell with two guards in similar robes. The guards saw him and readied their lances. Charging at them they lunged at him. Stepping on one's lace he used that to climb over the guards shoulder and into the stairwell. Must have been five stories up. Leaping over the railing he grabbed onto the railing of the floor below. Leaping back and forth down the stairwell to the ground floor. Once he made it he looked up to see the two women along with guards running down the stairs. The woman in scarlet hair followed his path down, way ahead of the guards. The Raven ran through the door entering the main hall. Four guards and a young man that seemed to be a courier at the main desk. All attention focused on the Raven. Catching a glimpse of his weapons on the counter of the desk he sprinted towards them.
"Stop that man!" Yelled the Scarlet haired woman as she entered the main hall.
The guards unsheathed their swords and attacked the Raven. Partying the first guard, causing him to stumble, pushing him into the other guard. Then slammed the axe into the third guards shoulder before kicking him in the chest. The four guard swong his sword diagonally at the Raven. Dodging the attack he grabbed the guards hand using his momentum to flip the guard. Quickly grabbing the dagger and wrist blade on the desk he proceeded to run out the main door. The were rows of wearhouse surrounding the building. Running past a few he darted through the area, disappearing into the night.
The woman in the purple robes yelling into the night as the guards fan out to search.
