*whirring sounds heard before a fwoosh*

"I-I- I don't believe it's gone! Lord Orochimaru, you did it. The rat disappeared!"

"Hold your horses, little Anko. The first step was a minor success because the subject did disappear, yes. However, the subject didn't appear in our main- *static* -No matter the minor success is an indication that we are on the right track! Teleportation is, in fact, possible, just with a lot more research of Element 115."

"Hey Master, how do you know what the rock is called? Did you guys name it already?"

"I- I don't know. It just felt right..like it was calling me... no matter, we must begin recalibration."

"Seriously, why did it have to be brats that could take my mission? I was expecting a bunch of grown-ups." said the client of the mission. Tazuna is an older man with a shaggy gray hair and beard who has a heavy upper body consistent with a lot of heavy lifting in a work intensive environment. He wore a dark sleeveless v neck shirt with matching pants. He also had a backpack on and straw hat to help with the heat and a towel wrapped around his neck. He smelled of sake and sweat, which made him unpleasant to be around, but they had to escort him. He was also drinking while berating them. helo

"Like we said, sir, if it's just bandits, then these children are more than enough. After all, they're trained to kill since the age of 10!" Kakashi stated. Tazuna snorted before he replied "Yeah training kids to take a life so early on in the lives surely. Nothing wrong can come of it." he said sarcastically. Kakashi didn't like the man's tone but decided not to say anything except that they were headed out.

"Hey Naruto, here." Satsuki threw him a box set of kunai. They were different from the standard issue kunais. These were three pronged kunai with a thicker handle. Naruto grabbed the kunai via its ring and noticed the handle had the Uchiha fan crest on one side and, on the other side, an Uzumaki swirl. "Father said this is your gift for graduation and for forgetting to get you something on your birthday this year." she continued. Naruto was touched, and both of Satsuki's parents really do think about him and made him appreciate them all the more. The first couple of years of his life wasn't the greatest nor the happiest. Living off scraps that were thrown out and wondering where you would find a warm place to sleep. He learned the layout of Konoha quickly because of this. Every dark and sketchy alley, to the highly upkept Hyuga compound, he knew his way around everywhere in Konoha. So when he found a lost little girl his age crying, wondering where she was, he offered to take her home. That choice gave him the life he has now. He will never be able to pay off what Satsuki and the Uchihas gave him. He vowed to make sure all of them were safe, even if it cost him his own. After his slight reminiscing, he put them away for later use while giving Satsuki a bone crushing hug, thanking her for everything and being his friend, which led to meeting wonderful people. He couldn't see it, but Satsuki's face turned a little red, both from the lack of oxygen and the butterflies in her stomach whenever he showed he affection.

Satsuki didn't allow physical contact with most people. She hated the hugs that boys in her class would try to give her. In fact, she pulverized any who tried, the most annoying one being Kiba Inuzuka. However, it was hard not to allow someone as genuine as Naruto. He always wore his heart on his sleeve, and no matter how annoying he was, he was still good at heart. Hell, even the great and uptight Neji Hyuuga said he was "more tolerable than most idiots." She was his best friend, whether or not he sees her as more than that, she's not in a hurry to find out.

Sakura watched the interaction with a small smile. The cold Uchiha has always been soft towards Naruto. Being the only one he would tolerate, she used Naruto to get close to her. Let's just say Satsuki let her hear it. Brought her to tears when she realized what happened. She even overheard Satsuki telling Naruto to break all contact. She realized her mistake and apologized to Naruto, who actually forgave her! The dude had the kindest heart ever and couldn't hold a grudge. Nonetheless, it still took a couple of years of Satsuki to warm up to her, and when she finally did, she considered her a friend! She did lose a majority of people she talked to because of association with Naruto. Nonetheless, she was happy but didn't brag about the status like she originally planned. She made 2 amazing friends and got luckier that they were on the same time.the 2 smartest kunoichis and they're dead last friend who for all intent and purposes, isn't book smart but is definitely street smart. They once attempted to go beyond just friends during their finals, but it didn't work out in the long run. No bad blood, thankfully just understanding from both ends.

"Y-yeah don't mention i-it. Besides, father's the one who got it for you. I'm sure he'd love to hear that." she stammered out. Before Naruto replied, they were intrupted by their drunken client. "Awww, how cuuute! Can we go now? I'm not in the mood to watch brats flirt." Satsukis blushed even more, and her eye twitched. "Listen here yo-"

" Well, now that we're ready, it's time to head out." She was cut off by Kakashi. He gave Satsuki a warning glance, which she just scoffed at. Without much to do, they headed out. Walking towards the Land of Waves.

Later

The group was walking in a delta formation, Sakura up front with Naruto and Satsuki on either side of her flank. Tazuna walked in the middle of this formation while Kakashi was further behind Tazuna with his book in his hand. Occasionally, he looks up to watch all four individuals in front of him. All this was a charade as he was really thinking about his hidden side mission. He hoped it was just a simple retrieval, well as simple as the retrieval of a near limitless source of power could be. Then again, not many knew the applications of the element, not even Kakashi himself. It's just a bunch of theories and rumors. He also heard tales of a group being established to study its effect called Division 9, founded by one of Konoha's notorious and most twisted traitors ever known. The Snake Sannin himself, Orochimaru. His pondering was interrupted by the sight of the puddle coming up on the road. He observed it as they walked past it and noticed his cherry blossom student took notice of the puddle before looking up at the sky. 'She noticed? Huh, living up to he name of the smartest kunochi in class, are we? he thought a little impressed. He watched as they passed by the puddle. She had the answer right on the tip of her tongue. 'Come on, you can do it!' Kakashi thought as he walked past the puddle.

"Hey guys, has it rained recently in the area?" Sakura asked, looking up at the sky. "I haven't seen any." replied Naruto unconcerned. "Like he said genuis, it's hasn't rained.. in a couple.. months.." The Uchiha heiress slowly trailed off, slowly realizing what she was trying to say. Sakura stopped to look back at the puddle, her widening with realization. Suddenly, two figures appeared. One had wild dark brown that reached his shoulders. He wore a camouflage suit with bandages around his waist, dark-coloured knee-length sandals, and a ragged black cape. His one horned forehead protector had four lines, the symbol of Kirigakure. He had on a right clawed gauntlet with a chain that had wrapped around their sensei before they could think! On the other emd of the chain was another man with more wild, spiky brown hair that also reached his shoulders. He, too, wore a rebreather that covered the lower half of his face, as well as wore a camouflage suit with bandages around his waist, dark-coloured knee-length sandals and several pouches around his waist. His Kirigakureforehead protectorhad two horns on it. In unision the yanked there claws in opposite directions shredding their sensei to pieces! With Kakashi disposed of they charged the group Sakura froze up until Tazuna snapped her out of it by saying he was paying them to protect him and ran behind her. Time slowed for Naruto as the chains approached him. He needed to move, jump out the way, throw himself on the ground, do literally anything but stand here and die like an idiot who just watched his death approach. The chain got sent flying back and pinned to a tree as both individuals were kicked away by Satsuki. Seeing this Naruto's composure returned, as well as a little frustrations with his pathetic performance. The chain snapped from the gauntlets releasing the opponents "Kill the builder!" coughed out the one with the single horn as he jumped over Satsuki. His voice sounding hoarse, and pained. The other went for a punch on Naruto who back handed the gauntlet away before he was met with a knee to his face, and his enemy rushing the bridge builder! Sakura's heart was beating, her breathing was shallow. She was terrified and wanted to abandon Tazuna. She's just a child she didn't want to die so soon. "These are the difficult choices you'll have to make" she remembered her sensei telling them. She steeled herself one last time before they were suddenly stopped by Kakashi! "Great work team I knew you guys could handle it!" he replied cheerfully while holding the two brothers in head locks.

"Y-you're alive!" Naruto exclaimed."How I watched you die!" They looked at the "corpse" only to find a bunch of wooden pieces everywhere. "Substitution jutsu! Of course." Sakura stated, feeling relieved. Her teacher was still very much alive. "Yep, and good job, Sakura! You've recognized detecting an enemy genjutsu, even if it was a little later than I would've liked." Kakashi praised Sakura while he knocked them out and pulled out some ropes. He continued, "Satsuki, not surprised that your reaction time was immaculate and Naruto.. your hand, ok?"

Naruto was a little peeved that he was the only one that got belittled but didn't say anything since it was justified. He froze up when it mattered and took a shot to the face for his troubles. "We might need to go back. I believe the blade used by these two have poison on them." Satsuki pointed at the dripping gauntlets the two had. A purple liquid oozing from the clawed tip at the front. Kakashi began "Well looks like-"

Shliiiiik

The sound of metal piercing flesh was heard, and everyone turned to look. Naruto stabbed his wound into his wound, making it bleed even more. "No, we're not! I swear on this cut, I'll never freeze up in a fight again! That's a promise, and I never break a promise because that's my nindo! My ninja way!" He declared with such confidence and determination that it would've been inspiring. If he had any other teacher that wasn't Kakashi. "Well, you DID get the poison out of your bloodstream, but how are you gonna prevent the REST of your blood from leaving your system?" he asked, finished restraining the two. Narutos face remained serious before suddenly losing a few shades of his normally tanned skin. Suddenly, he started screaming and running in circles. "AHHHH WHAT AM I GONNA DO, WHAT AM I GONNA DO! AWW, MAN, DO YOU KNOW HOW LAME IT'S GOING TO BE KNOWING I KILLED MYSELF TRYING TO SAVE MYSELF!" he was freaking out. How pathetic would it be if he died on his first real mission due to a self-inflicted wound.

"Ma ma calm down. Let me help." Kakashi started to wrap up the boys wound when he saw a small bit of steam emerg from the cut as he wrapped. He studied it as he continued wrapping, slower this time as he watched the cut close itself up and vanish. Not even a scar left behind. 'So this is the power of the Kyuubi.' He mused.

"There we go, all patched up. Now I'll leave these two here and send a message back to Konoha. As for you, Tazuna," he face got deadly serious. Kakashi turned and walked up to him before grabbing him by his collar. "Now explain to me why there is missing nin after you?" Tazuna started sweating and stammered out. "I-I do-don't know w-what you mean-"

"Don't play dumb with me! You didn't seem the least bit surprised you will tell me what's really going on here!" Kakashi raised his voice at the builder. Tazuna cont to sweat before he let put a sigh and proceeded to tell them what was going on. "The Land of Waves used to be a prosperous place with lots of trading with other towns and villages via ships. We aren't connected to the mainland, so it's our only means of trade and income. However, that all changed when the shipping tycoon, Gato, decided he wanted to take a cut of the wealth for himself. He started taking over the ports, paying people off, or threatening others with their lives. I'm sorry for the deception, but the mission wads paid for by everyone who is still willing to do something about that miserable tycoon. All we could afford was a C-rank mission. If you wish to return to your home, I understand. I'm not sure how far I'll make it home, though. I'll probably just get taken out 15 minutes later. Hopefully, my daughter and grandson won't take my death too harshly." He finished off sounding as pathetic as possible. He was trying to guilt trip them to finish the mission.

"Hey, come on, you know where not just gonna leave you out to die. We'll protect you no matter what! Believe it!" Naruto replied, falling for the ploy. Unnecessary because while this was the mission they were assigned to on paper, his actual goals involved looking for the supposed deposit of Element 115. This Gato person seems to be in charge at the moment. Once they take care of him, Kakashi can see what he can find about whether or not 115 is there. So even if they said they weren't ready, they would still have to go. Regardless of how his genin felt, "Heck yeah, I still wanna go! Didn't you hear him Kakashi he needs are help the entire wave needs are help!" Naruto shouted "Plus it'll be a great way to test our skills. I've needed a good way to test my abilities. Plus, I have to watch over this goofball." Satsuki continued after Naruto finished his reasoning for wanting to go. Before he could retort, their final teammate spoke up, "I-I think we should continue. I've always wanted to learn more about outside of Konoha for myself." Sakura said, although not sounding as resolute as her peers. 'I can't let them down no matter what. If they're ready, then so am I, right?'' She was going to find out on this journey.

While Kakashi was a little relieved, not having to force his students into going on a mission they were afraid of going on. Not that he could blame them. After all, these types of missions are given to people who have had experience in out in the shinobi world. Not fresh graduates. "Well, isn't that swell for you Tazuna, seem my cute little students want to still take you home after all." Tazuna let out a sigh of relief. "Thank you so much for your generosity. I promise to try to repay this debt." He said humbly 'Hehe I got them!'' He thought as they headed out once again. "Uh, what about them? Should we just leave them there?" Naruto asked "Yes Naruto I did say that I was calling reinforcement to pick them up and take them to Konoha to get put away, as well as a request for backup on the mission." Kakashi stated, making everyone take up their positions. "We don't need backup." Satsuki growled out. She was part of the mighty Uchiha clan! She was more than capable of handling this mission. "While that may be true, I'm the responsible adult who feels that, yes, we do need back up." He replied cheerfully, enjoying the narrowing eyes he got from the young girl. "I'm not sure one of them seemed sick. Maybe we sho-"

"Look, Naruto, while it's nice of you to care for your opponent, hell I find it endearing, but these are two fully grown shinobi and adults. A little cold or flu won't kill them, " Kakashi told him, patting his shoulder. "Yeah, I guess you're right. Ah, well, let's go! We've got a land to save!" He fist bumped the air. "Can we pick up the pace now? I don't want to be walking longer than we have to be. It's a 4 day trip." Sakura complained a bit. "Yeah, I got a bridge to build to save my home." They headed out on their first great adventure to save the Land of Waves. As they walked away, one of the two unconscious men started to coughing violently. He tried to grab his throat, but his restraints prevented him from doing so. He fell limp, no longer breathing.

Sunset

"So it seems that Kakashi finally took on a team," said the voice of a woman with long, straight purple hair. She wore a standard issue anbu uniform. It consisted of a black sleeveless shirt, black cargo pants, a greyflak jacket, metal arm guards, and black bicep length gloves. Her ninja sandals were spiked for if she needed to traverse mountainous regions. She also wore a mask that resembled a white cat with three red stripes, one on each cheek, and a vertical one on the forehead. She was accompanied by her anbu partner. He had short, unkept hair and wore the same uniform as her, except his mask was a white bird with an upside down red triangle painted on the top.

"I know hard to believe he started teaching. Well, as much as one could teach when they've failed everyone else. You've seen them? The brats, I mean, " the man replied. "Yeah, an Uchiha, a civilian, and the jinchūriki. Quite the collection of students he's gathered up. I'm sure Weasel is thrilled."

"Yeah, he hates the extra work he's been given since his departure. No matter, he is still the same old monotonous Weasel." They both kept walking at a leisurely pace. No rush to arrest 2 missing nin about 2 miles outside of the gate. They'll reserve their stamina for carrying the nuke nin back to Konoha for their sentence. "So the 'Demon Brothers' huh, taken down by fresh genin on their first mission. Honestly, I'd be embarrassed." chuckled Bird. His partner giggled alongside him. " Yeah, honestly, just the thought of that is giving me second hand embarrassment." Suddenly, Bird threw his hand in silence as he scanned the area for something. Cat needed no other warning as she, too, started listening for any movements. They got careless. They assumed they wouldn't have to worry about attacks near the village and just WALKED there. Anyone could've gotten them. She tried to focus on the sound that tipped her partner off. She found the sound when she heard what sounded like a crunch. Paying closer attention, she realized it there was also the sound of something fleshy being torn apart. She was familiar with these sounds. The sounds of a feast after a successful hunt. With one glance at each other, they jumped into the trees, heading towards where they believed the sound originated from.

Bird and Cat leaped across the trees with silent precision. They leaped from tree to tree, avoiding branches and landing on the trunks of the trees or the thickest tree branches to avoid shaking branches and alerting whatever or whoever they were investigating "We're coming up to the location Kakashi sent us." Cat whispered to her teammate. He nodded in confirmation as they approached the part of the road they were told the Demon Brothers were left restrained. Did a wild animal find them before they got them?

"What.. the.. fuck..." Bird muttered out as he arrived at the location. The Demon Brothers were, in fact, there. Except it seems one of them broke through their restraints, how they did not know. What they didn't know was that Gozu was currently EATING his brother, Meizu. What remained of his face was filled with horror and pain. Tear marks stained his cheeks, indicating he was crying. They had a good reason as to why that is. Gozu had his face buried in Meizu in his chest, tearing flesh from bone. His horned hitai-ate was broken in half with buried into his dinners' left eye. His rebreather wasn't removed, just broken so his gnawing teeth could access their target. His arm seemed to be dislocated, and it could've been broken. It didn't seem to matter to the owner of the arm, it seemed. As sickening as the sight was, what caught their attention was Gozu himself. Gozu's flesh was a pale gray and seemed to have been in various states of decay. Some of his muscles and bones were showing through various cuts he sustained. Did Kakashi's team do that to him, or did Meizu fight before he was eaten? And Gozu's eyes! They were glowing a fire red! An unnatural scarlet glow that contrasted against the now night sky. Unnerved by what they were witnessing, they proceeded to slowly take up their kunai. With a swift hand gesture, both threw their kunai at the man on lodge itself in the back of his throat while the other went straight through the heart. It went according to plan on their part. What didn't go to plan was the missing nin to stand up and face their direction. His glowing red eyes focused in their general direction. They didn't make a single sound. How could they. Both trained anbu member hit their mark on the target, and the kunais were still sticking to their respective targets. One in the chest one in the throat. Yet he still stood looking for them. His neck couldn't turn, but he was still looking. His body jerking in every direction to look.

"HWUAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" suddenly Gozu threw his head back and released a load scream, getting their attention. He cocked his arm back and swung it forward violently. The chain attached to his gauntlet swung forward and slammed into the branch they stood on. Cat and Bird jumped out of the tree in time and looked back to see that the rampaging Demon brother. He tackled Bird mid-air and slammed him into the ground. "Ugh, get. Off. ME!" Bird exclaimed, holding his head back that was still trying to take a chunk out of him. He looked down.'The kunai!' He ripped it out of the man's throat, which did little to deter Gozu. Before he could act, however, Gozu's head was split open from the middle as a kunai emerged from the new hole. The eyes stopped glowing, and Gozu went limp. Bird threw the corpse off of him "Thanks I-I have never seen anything like that before." If he was any other ninja, he would've thrown up by now. That didn't mean he couldn't be disturbed about events. "Did Kakashi and his team do this?" asked Cat.

"No, Kakashi said they were just knocked out and restrained." Bird stared at Gozu's body and looked over to the body of Meizu. His lower part of his torso was torn open. Many organs had been ripped out and torn to shreds. The hand that housed his gauntlet had been torn off, gnawed through by his brother. Half his face was scratched up, and his rebreather had broken her as well. Pieces of it could be found in his cheek along with scratches, presumably from the other brother. The tear stains under both eyes indicated that he'd been crying before he died. Either of pain or fright, he didn't know. Looking at both bodies, he made a decision. "Grab both of the bodies and seal them up. The Hokage is going to want to heat about this.. development." Cat nodded her head and began collecting the bodies. Bird kept a look out for more of whatever it was that Gozu became or for whoever made them this way. Although he stared down the path he assumed the team took after they neutralized the Demon Brothers.

'Satsuki, be careful. Who knows what horrors lie ahead. Naruto, please take care of her and yourself. I don't know if Mikoto could stand to lose either one of you.' He never noticed a man in a black outfit and hat smile slowly at the development he had witnessed.

These are the first 4 chapters my feeble mind could conjure up for the time being. Like Treyarch did with their zombies I'm making the story up as I go and will try not to recton anything. it's gonna take a lot of rereading and reviewing as time goes on. working on the next couple of chapters. Weather or not it's loved or hated I wanted to do my attempt at something new.
